Best Cakes in Austin | Eater Austin

"Every day is cake day at this French-Asian bakery chain. Pop by for cakes by the slice or whole. Stand out options include the blueberry, mango, and strawberry cloud cakes; the classic mocha cake with buttercream icing; and the sweet potato mousse cake. Takeout orders can be placed online or in person." - Courtney E. Smith

11 Best Bakeries in Charlotte, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Despite being a franchise among many franchises in South Park (and Pineville and soon-to-be Southend), Tours les Jours offers an aesthetic and flavor palate not usually seen in Charlotte, a South Korean-style cafe designed purposefully for gathering. The unique serve-yourself line is a parade through multiregional Asian pastries with a French flair — yuzu pies and croissants dolloped with indulgent portions of whipped matcha or strawberry cream. There’s a clear and impressive pillow theme here — the pillowy honeydew milk bread, the cloud cakes with layers of buoyant green tea cake hugged by airy cream, and yes, the actual pillows lining the stair-benches for visitors to hang out. The tangy kimchi croquette and pretty-in-purple ube latte can be enjoyed anywhere: tables, chairs, or pillows, in the two-floor space." - Kayleigh Ruller

I’ll start off with the coffee is amazing! I ordered the 20oz iced caramel macchiato. I love matcha and they had a few different matcha options that I’d love to try in the future. I also ordered the spinach & cheese danish. They serve it warm and it tastes very good but it’s kind of small in comparison to other spinach danishes that I’ve had, and it costs more. I also ordered a lemon macaron. Pretty large for a macaron! I love the texture but it was too tart. Not a huge fan of the flavor but I’m sure the other macarons are good. And they have a large variety to include pistachio, red velvet, and earl grey. Parking is very difficult. I drove around multiple times and to even park in their lot is hard because it is so tiny. And I paid $17 for a coffee, danish, and macaron which really should’ve been a few dollars less.

What a lovely bakery! My family and I visited when we were looking for something sweet that was in close proximity to our hotel. We got a caramel apple pie, slice of cloud cake, strawberry cream cake and a strawberry croissant. Everything was delicious and baked to perfection. I usually avoid sweet desserts and pastries because of the intense amount of sugar but these had the right amount of sweetness for me. I can see why the strawberry croissant was labeled as one of the staff's favorite. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Tous Les Jours is always a treat! This time I tried the matcha tea cheesecake and an iced tea- both were delicious. The vibe here is out of this world-cozy, lively, and perfect for catching up with friends or just chilling solo. Always love stopping by whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

French-Asian Bakery Heaven! 🥐✨ Okay wow — this place totally blew us away. It’s like a dream combo of French and Asian flavors, and we wanted to try everything on the menu. 📍 The Place: Super cute and clean, very aesthetic with all the white tones. There’s a cozy spot by the windows that’s perfect if you’re flying solo with a coffee, plus a second floor if it gets busy. Pro tip: maybe avoid sitting in a spot near the microwave — not the best seat in the house. 🍰 The Goods: We tried like 7 different things because... why not? Blueberry Cloud Cake: SO good. Light, fresh, fluffy, not too sweet, and honestly just gorgeous to look at. Pink Bread (not the real name, but you’ll know it when you see it): I loved this one — the filling was super soft and just hit the spot. Also tried: Mango Donut: filled with mango cream — yum. Sweet Frank Roll: a fun little bun with sausage inside — Good! Croque Monsieur: cheesy, warm, and super satisfying. That cheese sauce was chef’s kiss. Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread: decent, but probably my least favorite of the bunch. 👀 The Service: Really friendly and quick! We got our order fast, and everyone was super nice. 🚗 Parking: there is not parking lot, so you’ll need to find street parking or a nearby lot. Would totally go back.

We had a terrible experience with this bakery on July 2nd between 1-4 pm. Our manager was rude and unapologetic. We’ve ordered cakes from here many times and have always had a nice experience. However, this time, they made a huge mistake. They gave us a small cake instead of the large cake we ordered, and they charged us for a medium cake instead of the small cake we received. It’s a 1-hour drive back and forth from our house, and this ruined my daughter’s birthday. The manager refused to admit their mistake and wouldn’t even say their name. We could only reach their extension number, which ended with 0969. We will definitely never buy from this bakery again.

Google
I recently visited Tous les Jours located at 4625 Piedmont Row Dr #105, Charlotte, NC 28210, Here’s my review using my 5-star rating system: cleanliness, service, decor, food, and prices. Cleanliness: The restaurant was clean. I give it 1 ☆ Service: The staff were friendly and helpful. I give it 1 ☆ Decor: I loved the decor it had nice sitting areas, so it looked like it was a cool spot to hang out in or meet up with friends or even a small group. The ambiance depends on what customers are there. If you have customers that are going to bring their noisy and rowdy, kids that are going to be running around, then you may not want to stay there and hang out and read a book or work on your computer or bring friends there. So it really depends if you're lucky or not. Food: I bought a Portuguese egg tart, which was crispy, buttery, and sweet. The custard was creamy and not too sweet. The chocolate cream hornet was delicious, the chocolate flavor was on point, and the outside was sugary but not as crispy as I expected. I bought a coffee cake, custard bun and another pastries I haven't tried. I also got a tiramisu latte 😋 So far, what I've tried was delicious. I give it 1☆ Prices: The bill was $23. Prices were expensive, I give it 0 ☆ Final Score: 4 ☆☆☆☆ I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Today I bought 2 almond croissants and a couple of other items. Firstly, the other items I purchased were just fine. They needed to be heated up anyway so I have no complaints. But can I tell you that the almond croissants tasted very much about 2 days old!!! I’ve had day-old bread that was much fresher. These things were NOT fresh and I am super unhappy about it. This place is super cute, with great customer service…but the dry hard pastry should not be a thing. Especially at the price point these items are being sold at. So please do not respond by saying the pastry was fresh…because if these were fresh then there is an even bigger issue at hand, because they were dry and hard. Like all the buttery moisture had just dissipated. Even the almond filling was dry and brittle. Just utterly choke-worthy. Let’s do better yall! And just to see if you guys do better, I will return and purchase the same items. Just giving you guys a heads up because I want to sing your praises…but I will absolutely tell the truth.

Google
A very cute place. The seating is very different and interesting. There is a minimum guarantee for almost all the items. The croissants were amazing. Blueberry cloud cake was good. The yuzu puff pastry was not the best. Tried Tiramisu latte. Didn’t have anything tiramisu about it. A good hangout place. Pretty crowded. The restrooms are maintained well.

Yelp
Everything is AMAZING! My personal favorites are the sweet frank, pizza baguette, garlic cheese croissant, and strawberry cream! They make amazing coffee and matchas as well. Cutesi inside featuring a very zen like area equipped with pillows and lots of natural lighting. They also have an upstairs which I have not visited. Service is fast and friendly. I love to treat my team at work to pastries and coffee! Still needing to try the milk bread and ube bread!!! LOVE this location!

Yelp
My husband likes this place more than I do and would give it a 5. I just don't personally don't love the self service option and the limited seating, but other than that I really like this place. I like the savory, cheesy, garlic croissant. Its really good and you don't see that option anywhere else. I like that they tried to give us pastel De nata - not bad but not great. I never see that option much in the states, so it was still nice to see. Overall Its very cute and has great options, like the mango or pistachio cream-filled croissants in the front. Definitely check it out.

Yelp
Aesthetic: Bright, modern Asian bakery with an enormous variety of sweet delights. My Favorites: I'm in love with the milk cream bread and honey lemon tea. Experience: I've been here about a dozen times, and I've perfected my order. The milk cream bread with an iced Earl Grey honey lemon tea is the best combo. Anytime I change the order, I've craved it, but I'll settle for another tea if they're out like the Ube or Matcha. The workers are relatively nice, but sometimes in a stressed mood, even if it's slow in the store. They've run out of the Earl Grey often, so I hope they will keep it stocked in the future. Otherwise, it's typically a great experience!

Yelp
I loved this location, there is so much comfy seating and it's decorated so nicely for Christmas! The barista was very friendly and while she made my drink cold instead of hot at first when I told her I requested it hot she promptly made another and let me keep both. I loved the tiramisu coffee, both the hot and cold were incredible. I suggest this place to all of my friends now. They also have delicious pastries and macarons.

Yelp
Tous Les Jours does not disappoint. Everything was fresh and presented well. Bought a few things but only 1 made it back to the hotel. The quality is superb and always as expected. Costs were approximately $3-6 per pastry which I feel is well worth the money. Nice staff and it is clean inside. I enjoyed my visit. Would recommend you put pastries that have filling inside of a box so they don't get smashed.

Yelp
Fun coffee spot with bakery items. Lots of seating and different types with tables, shelf seating, circular and so much more. Can tell this place is great for work too as it was spacious too. My lavender latte was delicious too. So many bakery items including dessert so go back in the evening too. Nice area to walk around. Drinks were made quickly too
google avatar

Yelp
Cute place with amazing seating upstairs and downstairs, with light colors creates an inviting space to study or just relax. The food and pastries are to very delicious from the guava tart, to the fruit croissants. I can't wait to visit this place again. The tiramisu latte also, tastes just like tiramisu!

Madeline W.

Yelp
Nice selection of pastries. When I got to the register and to check out I asked for a hot tea as there were over 5 different options of tea listed on their menu. The cashier told me they "didn't have any tea" (rudely) even though the list of tea options was right behind her on the menu?! Customer service is definitely lacking, I would definitely recommend villanis bakery over this after this experience.

Yelp
Tous les jours, what can I say. Not your typical french bakery, more of a fusion of korean and french. Everything is lovely except for the prepare package cake, those are dry, don't buy those. Everything else is great, good drinks. Good service and I like that it is two level where you can hide up top and enjoy your food while people watching.
google avatar

Yelp
Tight quarters but very nice. Loved the cheddar jalapeño crissonants. We also got tons of pastries, including an egg tart, spinach and feta danish and potatoes buns. All delish! Coffee was meh.

Yelp
Eek! I've never been to a free standing one of these! This location is GORGEOUS. Parking was fine (it was midweek late morning) and I immediately came in, grabbed a tray and tongs (in the orange fridge) and grab your goodies. You can't really go wrong imo: I love the milk breads, soft and chewy and probably a little mochi flour in it to make it chewy? I grab a few of these every time, toss in the fridge and split with my husband over the next few days. The strawberry one is always a winner, but this melon one was LOVELY. The cream is a Swiss meringue buttercream I think: if you stick them in the fridge leave them on the counter to get room temp before enjoying. I also got a coffee bun for the first time: WOW. Soft, chewy, coffee forward, the word I hate most, moist. Incredible. Beautiful seating area, great service (even with a lot of people just meandering and not knowing what to do) and lovely place for a treat!
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
The pastries were delicious! The way you go in and self serve with the trays is different. I partially wish they had it all for someone to help you, since the tongs could be touched by others. They are pricey but all freshly made and delicious. The coffee took quite a while to come out, and my friend's order was incorrect, but she was fine with what came out.

Yelp
I love ALL the pastries, desserts, coffees, and teas at Tous Les Jours. I make a stop at the South Park location every time I'm in the area. HOWEVER...the SERVICE NEEDS HELP! The girls at the counter are not very attentive nor welcoming. I've had several instances where they were not listening to a cake or coffee order I had. They seem to be preoccupied with talking to each other rather than taking care of the customer. And this last instance, I waited about 15-20 minutes for a latte (and no one else was in line). Someone finally came up to ask me what I was waiting on and I told them my coffee order. Then they followed by asking me what it was (with an attitude). Like I said, I love this spot and want to support it. But the service is getting worse and worse each and every time I approach that register. PLEASE do better!

Yelp
One thing about Charlotte is, there is no shortage of patisserie's and cafe's. It seems like there is a patisserie on every corner and it is refreshing that each one has something interesting and unique to offer. Tous Les Jours offers an Asian approach to French pastries. We stopped by one night for dessert after dinner and I'm glad we did. It was near closing so they were out of several of their breads and pastries, which is to be expected. We ordered a cake slice and a few macaroons to share. The cake was light and airy but lacked the richness I was craving. I have had better macaroons from other French bakeries in the area. The business was kind of annoying to get to. You have to park in the parking deck and walk over. The interior is large and open. If I go back, I would try something different and maybe order coffee or tea as well.
google avatar

Sofia H.

Yelp
I've been to one of their locations before. This location was the first one and it's a bigger space. I absolutely love how charming relaxed and sophisticated it feels in here. I feel that because it's a more open concept it's also easier to find seats. I had the vanilla latte which was good and I've also got a few other items which I will come back and add under "tips" for ordering if they are an absolute must try. The one I will put you on to is the egg sandwich which was right by the line and premade. It's absolutely delicious. Besides the egg there are all these other sauces and arugula and I have to tell you if you like breakfast sandwiched and egg and spice THIS IS FOR YOU. I LOVED it. And I ate it cold and not sure if you're supposed to warm it up but I ate it cold and it did MORE than just hit the spot. It absolutely slapped.

Yelp
I stopped in to try this fairly new addition to their pastry line-up...Green Tea Sesame Loaf Bread. Actually, I just grabbed 1 pack (about 9 slices?) to go. Only about 7 bucks! I thought these were the same as the Green Tea loaves that are sold in a pair of 2's, but nope. These are just plain loaves, with no cream. A bit disappointing because I couldn't really trace the taste of Green Tea...but as with all of TLJ breads, these were Oh-So-Soft, light and fairly healthy (considering!). Anyway, these tasted really good with whipped cream. What I love about many (if not all?) of their pastries are that the calories are listed. Surprisingly, many are not as caloric as you might think...thanks to these pastries being so light and fluffy! Also, most of the items are so cheap!! Since I make frequent excursions to Koreatowns in other states, I've been going to Tous Les Jours for several years before it finally hit Charlotte. Am so relieved that Charlotte finally has 2 chain locations!

Yelp
(2/11/24) I've completed my Tous Les Jours bucket list and visited all three stores. I had a chance to visit the Southpark location after a doctor visit. One of the doctor's assistants walked downstairs with me and showed me exactly where it was located. On my walk I saw that the space was very large and had multiple levels. Upon entering the vastness of the space was confirmed. The bakery occupies a small portion of the total space. Most of the space is a variety of sitting areas. There is a stepped seating area with cushions. There is also an elevated seating area with tables and chairs. Between these areas are the restrooms. The bakery is similar to the layout of the Pineville bakery. The only difference is that there seemed to be a greater variety of different goods available. My eyes looked at everything, but they were drawn to the macarons. I bought rose, Earl Grey, blueberry-lavender, vanilla and pistachio. All in all a great visit.

Yelp
Tous Les Jours is a franchise chain but this location in Charlotte is by far my favorite I've been to yet. The baked goods are always freshly baked daily, drinks are phenomenal. I highly recommend trying their matcha, for my matcha lovers this is a strong one! The service is top tier, how they box my items is always beautifully wrapped. The icing on the cake is the ambiance. There's a stair case with pillow seats and an upstairs to catch up with friends or family. Or lovely to just sit and enjoy!
google avatar

Joshua C.

Yelp
The fresh baked items and handcrafted coffee is exquisite! There's an upstairs and downstairs are, chill vibes and amazing coffee. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
I could not love Tous Les Jours more. I have said multiple times that I'd imagine that heaven serves these pastries. Absolutely incredible flavors and fresh. The garlic herb bread with a cream cheese was beyond flavorful. The strawberry croissant was so soft and fresh as well. Strawberries were sweet with the butter. We got a milk butter loaf to go and ate it later in the evening and wow. Also amazing and so sweet and soft. There is a coffee area as well. I tried the lavender honey latte which was really nice, not too sweet. Will definitely be back the next time I am in town!

Yelp
Like it! We had some croissants and coffee, I really enjoyed it! Nice atmosphere and design, you can take great photos!

Yelp
I mean what in the world have I been missing?! How have I not been to Tous Les Jours!!!! It's so amazing in there! It's like walking into a sweet land of deliciousness. There's so many pretty things to choose from lol. I love how they have things set up, nice and easy and clean. You can walk in, grab a tray and sanitized tongs. Then pretty much go for what ya know on the sweets lol. It's such an easy process, a little too easy. Which is a great sales ploy LOL. It took everything in me not to buy this entire store haha. I settled with just one pastry: a chocolate croissant. So so so yummy and freshly made. I also ordered the lavender vanilla latte and it was also delicious. This place has such cute seating options too, even an upstairs area. It's so big in there! Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Gracie G.

Yelp
Great stop in charlotte, I came with the intention on trying the strawberry croissant, unfortunately by 3pm they sold out but I still tried the cloud cake and it was very good! There is plenty of sitting room available and a really cool hang out spot.
google avatar

José A.

Yelp
The words to describe this coffee shop/bakery are the following: fun, delicious and instagrammable. I come to this place quite often, and I love it every time. I usually try different pastries and coffee lattes, and I like the all every time. The service is great, common areas and restrooms are always clea and there is a free parking garage just around the corner. 100% recommended.
google avatar

Ashleigh O.

Yelp
I had the Custard bun at Tous Les Jours yesterday, and it was a delightful experience. The bun had a subtle sweetness and a fluffy texture that brought back childhood memories. The cream filling resembled the consistency of vanilla pudding--creamy and just the right level of sweetness, not overpowering at all. I devoured the bun so quickly that I couldn't even snap a picture, underscoring how much I truly enjoyed it!

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Beautiful place, rude customer service. It felt 2 me that the staff didn't want 2 be bothered. Not very welcoming at all. I was purchasing for a Christmas gift for a friend. I shall not be back. I prefer 2 spend my $$$ where I am welcomed/appreciated. I asked for a Manager but they said she was not there. Attn: Management you may want 2 stay & coach your staff on Customer Service, that is IF you know how to properly extend.
google avatar

Sydney S.

Yelp
Great pastry and beverage options! My favorite is the strawberry croissant, it's not too sweet and is sooo good.
google avatar

Megan F.

Yelp
Truly my favorite new treat is the Ube latte and the kimchi croquette! You're going to devour them and the incredible flavor of the latte. Kimchi croquette has the savory and crunchy texture of a a tater tot, but fabulous savory flavors. Curry croquette was fantastic with a savory flavor and crunchy bun. Cloud cake was vanilla icing, strawberries and vanilla cake in a delicious combination. Amazing food! Unique and delicious!
google avatar

Steven B.

Yelp
Delicious pastry'. The chocolate donut was unbelievable. Great staff and nice establishment. Do not come here on an empty stomach.
google avatar

Danielle L.

Yelp
OMG. I am so happy this bakery exists. The space is beautiful... bright, high ceilings welcome you, comfy seating, and of course the rows and rows of beautiful pastries! You self select your pastry. They have a great selection of sweet and savory. They also have a beautiful selection of cakes, other desserts and breads. I got the spinach and feta pastry and it was delicious!! I can't wait to try more!
google avatar

Shawn L.

Yelp
Definitely a Five Star patisserie. Who knew Charlotte has a great bakery tucked into this shopping area. The shop is small with a big selection of amazing treats, excellent drip coffee and friendly service. The brightly colored pastries look as great as they taste. I got a pan au chocolate and a yuzu pastry. Both excellent. Reasonable prices and just overall good stuff!
google avatar

Jocelyn N.

Yelp
This place is so adorable and I recently found out Pittsburgh is getting its own location! This was my first time visiting a Tous Les Jours -- you grab a tray and serve yourself from the pastry cases and cake displays and then go to the register to pay and have everything boxed up. The cloud bread is supposed to be phenomenal and I'm determined to try it next time. Most items are French bakery items with a Korean take on them. There are breads, croissants, pastries, donuts, cakes and coffee and tea as well.
google avatar

Liana F.

Yelp
Definitely have to go in the AM when they first open but it's very good and work the trip. Pricey only because you're going to want to try everything.
google avatar

Yelp
First Class Pastry and Coffee Place Ordered just about 2 of each Great French Pastry Friendly staff as well Well done espresso

Yelp
Every time I visit Charlotte I make sure to stop by Tous Les Jours and pick up some of their amazing desserts! The shop is so cute and they have plenty of seating options, very instagram worthy. I love their cloud cakes and my daughters are obsessed with their macarons! I did also enjoy an ube latte which was delicious, not overly sweet but made just right. The staff is nice and courteous and we just love this little shop for sweet treats!

Yelp
I've been wanting to check this place out for a while so I stopped in after going to an appointment in the area. The place was not busy at all so it was nice to be able to take in the entire space and all the offerings while not being pressured to order, etc. Interesting system they have with the tray, sanitized tongs (I think it's a true test of who can figure out how to open the machine), and the self-serve setup. So, walk in, GO LEFT to pick up a tray and new set of tongs and load up your tray as much as you want. WARNING: option paralysis here, the cases and baskets are full of treats... I ended up going for the mango croissant and a black americano to go. Waiting for them to make the drink, I was able to sit in their cute "stadium" seating area with cushions and really take in the space. Super clean and cozy, there are lots of different areas to hang out by yourself or meet up with folks. I saw they kept the upstairs portion (at one time this used to be Terrace Café) but everything else is completely different. I think they really designed their space around all the natural light coming in. I remember the cafe used to be fairly dark (but that could just be my memory cause it has been a minute). Very relaxing in here and the smells were great!! Maybe a good spot to work? But I'll be back to keep trying their menu items. The parking deck is a little hit-or-miss for me because it's either really convenient, or completely packed and not-so-convenient. There is street parking along the side road, but at 9am on a Monday morning, there were food delivery trucks that were parked and unloading. I did not realize this was a chain, but I am glad there is a location in Southpark.

Yelp
Discovered this place on accident while searching for another bakery and wow! I am so glad I stopped in. This place is amazing. So many options but I got 2 Greek yogurt cherry pastries, a caramel apple pie, cranberry apple bread, a pizza baguette, and a honey lemon tea. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. The cherry pastry was so good. I ate it very quickly and had to go back and purchase a second one to take home. We wanted the pizza warmed and although they don't do it for you they do have a microwave you can use. The sitting areas are super nice. You can sit upstairs or downstairs at tables or on the stadium seats. It would be nice to come back here with my tablet and do some work or just hang out. Staff was super nice. One told me that they'll be opening a location in Pineville soon. Ps: I ate the cranberry bread 2 days later and it was still super fresh and soft.

Yelp
Need a cake for the boss's birthday but she doesn't like something toooo sweet... I know she have never tried Tous so this is a good opportunity to earn brownie points. Tous did not disappoint. I got the Mango cloud cake.. it's made with a whipped infused mango cream and some mango filling. Decorated very nicely. It comes in a beautiful sturdy box with a cake cutter and 5 candles. I couldn't have ask for a better packaging. Cake wasn't too sweet. And it's very soft and not dry. I truly enjoyed and I definitely earned some major point. I took plenty of pics. The bakery have plenty of milk bread, croissants and other items that look sooo good. So I would like to come back to try many other things !
google avatar

Cecillia A.

Yelp
Always a great time when I come here. The bakery items are good and so are the drinks. Definitely a little on the pricey side but it's worth it. I love the sweet potatoes pie one. It's so delicious.

Yelp
Several trusted friends raved to me about this spot and boy were they right! My husband and I tried: - Kimchi Croquette - Garlic & Cheese Croissant - Honey Cheese Mochi Pancakes - Custard & Almond Pretzel Pastry - Milk Cream Bread - Sweet Potato Mousse Cloud Cake Everything was amazing. If I had to pick favorites, I would go for the Garlic & Cheese Croissant, Honey Cheese Mochi Pancakes, and the Custard & Almond Pretzel Pastry. There were so many other things I wanted to try so I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Chelsea C.

Yelp
I have been to the cafe few times before and enjoyed the pastries and tea. I always admired the beautiful cakes on display so when my daughter requested strawberry cake for her birthday, I immediately knew where to go. The strawberry cloud cake does not disappoint! The toddlers and the parents loved it. Tous Les Jour definitely recruited some new customers from our party. 10/10 recommend. I can't wait to go back and try some of their different cakes now.

Yelp
So I've been to Tous Les Jours a few times, and I think this place is really cool with a really nice concept. It's kind of cafeteria style where you grab a tray and load your tray with things that you want and go to the register and pay. There is a variety of items, and they are typically named, but what I will say is it would be nice if they all had a description of what they were, the ingredients, how people typically eat them, etc. I really like the cloud bread it's super soft chili and fluffy at the same time and it comes in a few different flavors and I also really like the garlic bread. FYI it has a sweetness to it. I gave away my chocolate croissant, and one of my friends said they really loved it. Overall, the menu items seem to be fresh and delicious. Definitely try this place out.

Yelp
High quality pastries and desserts. They serve asian and french inspired pastries and lots of variety of cakes, breads, and beverages as well. It is a bit small but there is a separate floor with some tables. It has got an aesthetic, cozy cafe vibe. The strawberry cake we tried was phenomenal and their sweetness level of their desserts is just enough. Our favorites were the mango croissant and the strawberry croissant which were flaky, buttery, and delicate. Pricing is reasonable for the high quality of their products. Everything is fresh.

Yelp
Best French bakery in Charlotte. Nestled in South Park right by the mall, this underrated and absolutely delicious pastry making bakery is a delight. When you first walk in it's so nice and bright, with mostly white walls and concrete floors. I went this week so it's all well decorated, without being too busy with it's decor. The seating is very unique with plush pillows placed on elevated surfaces for patrons to have a bite and relax for a bit. You also have the option to literally grab and go. Here much like in most of Europe or even South America, you take a large flat pan and select your own items. Some can be heated up for you if you wish. The dining area is really well laid out with ample room to stay and work, or study with a upstairs patio overlooking the entrance and kitchen. The food is so fresh and flavorful, I had the danish, apple strudel, and pizza flatbread. Nothing else in Charlotte has matched the quality of ingredients and taste I experienced here. The danish was so flakey with the right amount of filling. I am shocked I haven't heard more about this place or seen it on any top 10 list to end the year. After receiving superb customer service from the staff, along with the best lunch with to-go desserts I will definitely add it to mine. Pro Tip: Grab two danishes, save yourself the time!

Yelp
This is such a cute bakery with a surprising amount/variety of baked goods and beverages. Their macarons are very flavorful. I tried several but the salted caramel really wowed me. They open at 8:00 am throughout the week and literally patrons wait at the door for them to open. Although the staff is there before 8:00 making baked goods, they are still in the process of putting them on the shelves when the doors open. So if you want to see more options, I'd recommend waiting until closer to 9:00 am. I visited shortly after opening and while I waited for my drink, they kept bringing out more items that looked even better than what I selected. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the setup is nice. If you want pre-packed items you can grab and go. Or if you want bakery items from the case, you just grab a tray, tongs and bakery paper, load up and head to the register. If you want to take it to go, they will gladly pack it up for you. I find the prices to be reasonable and this is a great place to grab a unique treat for yourself or a friend.

Yelp
This is a neat place to grab some French-inspired items! They have a ton of options to choose from for pastries and desserts! I believe they opened about 4-5 months ago in this space and it fits them perfectly! It's like walking into a crisp and bright French bakery/pastry shop. Modern music greets you and is heard in the background and you view the available options. Soon, they will have sandwiches and salad options as well. The staff was great, asking if you needed help or anything from the refrigerated section. Checkout was a breeze as well! If you're looking to purchase multiple item, their "carts" are in the form of trays that allows you to pile pastries and desserts as low or high as you want! LOL! This modern French cafe is located in Southpark, in the Piedmont Town Center area. There is street parking and plenty of garage parking available if you decide to stop in briefly and grab an item, or if you want to dine-in on their 1st or 2nd level seating areas. Definitely try them out and stop by if you're in the area!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! This bakery may be a chain; however, their quality is superb. They have daily made-fresh pastries ranging from plain croissants to red bean stuffed doughnuts, honeydew melon bread, kimchi croquettes, ready-made cakes, and so much more! Macaron lovers: They have an array of flavors that are super fresh (not too chewy and not too delicate). Right now they have fun flower shaped ones in the case! My new go-to place! I love the coconut cream. Croissant lovers: If you love a Pain Au Chocolat that has a lot of chocolate, go for the Chocolate Avalanche -- it has about double the chocolate inside....heat it up a bit and commence the "mmmmm" sounds as you bite in! If you like fruit, a *must* is the Strawberry Croissant, which super fluffy sweet whip and freshly cut strawberries inside a wonderfully flaky croissant. How it works: when you walk in grab a tray slip a piece of parchment on top grab sanitized tongs out of the case begin snagging those pastries!

Yelp
This is the cutest bakery! They have a huge selection of freshly baked pastries, breads, cakes, etc. - plenty of familiar choices (croissants, breads, scones, cinnamon rolls) as well as lots of unique ones (red bean donuts, sweet potato hand pies and taro bread). They have great coffee too, and the space is huge/perfect for working or lounging, with tables and cushions downstairs and more tables upstairs. Only suggestion: PLEASE start serving lunch! Sandwiches and salads would be such a great addition to the menu :)
