I've been wanting to check this place out for a while so I stopped in after going to an appointment in the area. The place was not busy at all so it was nice to be able to take in the entire space and all the offerings while not being pressured to order, etc.
Interesting system they have with the tray, sanitized tongs (I think it's a true test of who can figure out how to open the machine), and the self-serve setup. So, walk in, GO LEFT to pick up a tray and new set of tongs and load up your tray as much as you want.
WARNING: option paralysis here, the cases and baskets are full of treats... I ended up going for the mango croissant and a black americano to go.
Waiting for them to make the drink, I was able to sit in their cute "stadium" seating area with cushions and really take in the space. Super clean and cozy, there are lots of different areas to hang out by yourself or meet up with folks. I saw they kept the upstairs portion (at one time this used to be Terrace Café) but everything else is completely different. I think they really designed their space around all the natural light coming in. I remember the cafe used to be fairly dark (but that could just be my memory cause it has been a minute).
Very relaxing in here and the smells were great!! Maybe a good spot to work? But I'll be back to keep trying their menu items. The parking deck is a little hit-or-miss for me because it's either really convenient, or completely packed and not-so-convenient. There is street parking along the side road, but at 9am on a Monday morning, there were food delivery trucks that were parked and unloading.
I did not realize this was a chain, but I am glad there is a location in Southpark.
