London Restaurants Bring Out Summer Holiday Dishes Like Grilled Octopus | Eater London

"Known for its viral katsu sando, this restaurant is now offering make-at-home katsu sando kits that package a highly Instagrammable, fuss-friendly project for food-obsessed Londoners. The sandwich itself has been one of the city's most recognisable and photographed dishes, and the kit format proved especially appealing during lockdown as an absorbing, finessed mini-project for career foodstagrammers and enthusiastic home cooks. Although its siren song may soften as people return to dining out, the combination of a picture-perfect sandwich and a shareable DIY experience gives it the hallmarks of a future Instagram classic with real potential to become ubiquitous." - George Reynolds

Google
Their croquettes, croissants and pastries are a must try, incredible quality for the price. I got their Choco hazelnut croissant, mango cloud piece for to-go for my recent visit to their store. Mango cake had a nice subtle fruity flavour to it. Croissant was a decent addition.

Google
Got a birthday cake from here recently and had a great experience. The staff was helpful and guided us in picking the perfect cake. It tasted fantastic — not overly sweet, with a soft, airy sponge and cream that was light yet flavorful. Would definitely come back for future celebrations.

Google
Located inside the Castleton Saraga grocery store but right at the entrance. Very clean and eye-catching display cases and wrapped items. Baked goods aren’t organized in a specific way so be sure to check out everything! On the pricey side, but all that we tried so far is delicious. Great dessert place after we’ve eaten at the Saraga food court. This time we got the taro bread loaf (see pics). $7.95. Will be buying this again. Love it with coffee in the morning. Just the right amount of sweetness, super soft bread.

Google
"Not too sweet" I'm giving them the big, Asian compliment. The cakes are so light and delicious, and that is why they call them "cloud" cakes. I love their selection of baked goods. Drinks are a secondary thought. We are here for the baked goods! Location inside of Saraga, but right when you get inside. It's a bit busy but worth the visit. You can also order online for pickup ---perfect for a special occasion!

Google
You know why I gave this store a five-star rating? Because their sweet desserts, especially the donuts, look good and have a different style. Even though I haven’t tried them yet, I hope they taste as good as they look. The store is also clean, and I especially like its French name, “Tous Les Jours.” I also hope the people who work here are nice.

Google
I love the desserts from this place! I have tried numerous cakes, pastries, and breads which were all scrumptious. Milk cake, green tea flavored cake, and tiramisu iced coffee are 10/10.

Laura

Google
Love to see a Korean bakery chain come to its first location in Indy! Lovely cakes and so many bread options. Prices are on the higher side and the croissant I had was kind of soggy on the bottom and didn’t feel as fresh as I hoped for $5+.

Graydon T.

Google
Hidden gem in the international market, they have a fun self service case where you can grab som seriously good pastries. The service was quick, clean and will love to try more of their items in the future.

Yelp
Having grown up enjoying Asian bakeries in Flushing, Queens I was so happy to try Tous Les Jours--and it instantly took me back! The pastries truly live up to Asian bakery standards: light, flavorful, and beautifully made. This is the kind of spot I'd come to again and again, whether it's for pastries, desserts, or a drink to go with them. It has that perfect balance of quality and nostalgia. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Asian bakery flavors.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The pastries are always delicious and if you go early they have more options. It's right at the entrance of Saraga so it's hard to just walk by and not get anything, at least for me. I'm never disappointed in what I get. It makes my shopping trip better and I'm never hangry. They're always super nice and getting coffee or anything beverage is always quick. There is always a crowd around but I've never felt like I've waited too long to get checked out. A must if you love pasties!
google avatar

Sigrid W.

Yelp
Directly at the main entrance of Saraga. They do have a great selection of sweet as well as savory pastry. It is rather on the expensive side though, but also very tasty... I guess it's best for an occasional treat.

Yelp
Wow!!! So much fun and excitement tucked into this pocket bakery located inside the Saraga International Grocery on the Northside. Guava pastries? Croquettes? Milk bread? Egg tarts? Baguettes? Pan au raisin? They have it all!! We picked up a pair of steamy hot egg tarts and a fluffy milk bread croissant of sorts. Both did not disappoint. The egg tarts were fresh and flaky and beautifully packaged. The line was long but they did a great job at keeping it moving! They also have a variety of coffee drinks and fun cakes like sweet potato, ube and mango. Can't wait for our next visit! Grab a tray and load it up!
google avatar

Katherine A.

Yelp
The bakery is located inside the International Market. The pastries and cakes look amazing. You grab a tray and pick your pastries. I would prefer that pastries were not handled by the general public. I recognized some of the pastries as coming from a frozen third party vendor. But everything still looked delicious and fresh. I selected chocolate croissant. The croissant was fresh but could have used a bit more chocolate. It was delicious and prices were reasonable. There are a few tables to sit and eat. The bakery is super clean. All in all, a great place to pick up pastries.

Yelp
Tous les Jours is nestled inside Saraga International Market in Castleton. It's a coffee bar and pastry shop with savory and sweet pastries and breads. We have a very hard time resisting a visit here when we're shopping for groceries. This time I had an ube latte and a macaron, and my husband had a cappuccino and an almond pastry. Everything was phenomenaln but if you want any ube flavor, ask for extra shots of ube. We also brought some savory pastries (one with cheese and hot dogs and tomatoes, and one with mushrooms) and those were fantastic as well. What I really like about this place is the creative fusion of French pastries with international flavors like ube, taro, and yuzu, among others. It's such a great way to try things you might not be used to, and I've never had anything from this place that I didn't enjoy. Highly recommend!

Yelp
For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with French culture. I had an opportunity to visit the French territory of Quebec way back and enjoyed some of the most delicious food I've ever had. So anytime I see a French restaurant or bakery, I have to try it! This being just the second one here in Indy, I was excited to find it. Tour les Jours, which means All the Days en français, prepares all their treats fresh on a daily basis. Inside the Saraga International store, it's a diamond in the rough! Delicious pastries await you as you enter the market! Start with a tray, line with parchment paper and grab a pair of tongs. Now venture to their display cases and choose everything your little heart desires. Please don't use your hands-use the tongs to grab the pastries you want to purchase and bring them up to the counter. Depending on the time you get there, everything might be room temperature. So ask the lovely ladies at the counter to heat up the ones you plan on enjoying immediately. Otherwise, heat them up at home before indulging. It makes a huge difference. While you're checking out, grab a chai. It's one of my favs and some of the best I've had. Oooh I love this place. Go check it out and let me know what you think!
google avatar

Claudine L.

Yelp
Great selection of pastries although it was pretty much empty when I got there. I've had this in NYC before and in LV as well and was buying a bunch to bring back to my family.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for a delightful pastry/bakery shop, you have to try this place out. It's found inside of Saraga International Market and is literally the first thing you see when you walk in, very hard to miss. For the best selection, I would advise to get here early, but honestly, it's still worth checking out even if it's not the opening hours. They have a wide variety of options and everything I've had here is sooo good. They also have a rewards program, and when you signup they give you a free treat. This place gets very busy sometimes, so beware because it can be very crowded and tight spaced, especially since it's inside of a grocery store. I always fall into an escape and forget I'm at a grocery store when checking out all of the options. The ambiance consists of glass display cases and soft lighting. Each pastry is priced differently and the prices are displayed with the name of the item. They range around $2-$5 each. I love the almond pastry, the mount blanc, chocolate avalanche, and chocolate pastry. I love coming here to try more!

Yelp
My wife is on a matcha kick and we came from out of state visiting family and decided to give this place a try. My wife got the honey lavender matcha and I got the matcha tiramisu latte both were excellent.
google avatar

Naomi E.

Yelp
This is located inside the Saraga International Store close to the fruits and vegetables section. They have a display of pastries and desserts and they all looked incredible. The lady that helped me was very friendly and she grabbed the cloud cake from the back that I ordered in advance. The cake itself was so beautiful and I loved the airy and fruit filled flavors.

Yelp
I'm so glad that there is a Tours le Jours in Indianapolis as there's a noticeable dearth of Asian bakeries in this city. Yes, it's a chain, but still. I've found that the quality of food to be consistent no matter where the location, and this was no different. Located in Saraga, it's a conveniently placed near the entrance so you're immediately tempted. I got their pastel de nata/Portuguese egg tart as it's a recent addition, and prior locations had actually run out before! The crust's puff pastry was flaky but didn't have a buttery richness that I was expecting. The inside filling kind of had a starchy, gummy taste like the custard had been thinned out with fillings to make the expensive cream and eggs go further. It wasn't too sweet. I wouldn't be getting this again, but it was good to try.
google avatar

Andrea K.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and order the honey lavender matcha latte!!!!! I love lavender when done right, but a lot of times it tastes TOO artificial against a bitter coffee. But this honey lavender matcha latte is the perfect amount of sweet. I always stop by tous le jours before starting my shopping for groceries at Saraga and it never disappoints. Also, the Korean ajummas working the counter are the sweetest!
google avatar

Sana K.

Yelp
Amazing!!!! The best pastry place in town!!! So many options that are out of this world!! The cloud cake is amazing!! The original is my fave unless I'm feeling mango. Very fresh!! No after taste. No stale taste! Very cute! Well done!! The mango filled donut is so good. The egg tart amazing! I'd go weekly if I was closer! I would get my birthday cake from them
google avatar

Yelp
If you enjoy French and Asian pastries, this is a great place to stop by. It's inside Saraga grocery market. Get a tray and tongs, and load up. I love the milk breads, they are not too sweet. The Taro bread with whipped cream was delicious for, though my 6 year old did not love it. It was not sweet enough for her. This is the kind of place you wish where calories don't count. Chocolate croissant, soufflé cheese cake.. if you have a bday or special day or just want a delicious snack. This is the place. Service was fine, nothing notable. -"as for ambiance, not a place to linger, just grab and go.

Yelp
10 stars! New Korean/French bakery franchise coming soon to Carmel. The photos are exactly what you see in person. I tried the Sweet Potato cake oh my fire!! It tasted so wonderful and so light to enjoy!
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
I stopped by here when I was at the international grocery store, it is a charming little shop and they have so many pretty treats! Also what looks like a great selection of coffee drinks. I ended up getting some macaroons and they were so good! I got the lemon, rose, pumpkin pie, and earl grey, each was full of flavor! The staff was also very friendly! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
There was nothing not to love about this place. I've been meaning to go for such a long time, and even though I arrived late in the evening, there were still quite a few choices to make I bought the basil and olive milk bread. I used it as sandwich bread for the next days lunch and it was amazing. The ladies at the counter were so helpful and provided suggestions for some of my choices. I did order the lavender, blueberry macaron and lemon macaron so delicious and this environment in the store at the front area is so bright and colorful and really makes you want to purchase from their little area. I will definitely be back . Things are a little bit pricey for some, but so worth it in flavor.
google avatar

Shockney A.

Yelp
One of the best bakery !!!! I usually get croque monsieur sand and sweet pastries. Cakes also delicious.
google avatar

Catherine S.

Yelp
Great staff and delicious cakes. Purchased strawberry cake and chocolate cloud cake. I'll be back'

Leslie H.

Yelp
I loved the products sold at Tous Les Jours. I bought a baguette and two other items and all were delicious, like, top of the line. There really isn't any ambiance because it's located inside of a Saraga Market, so there's no seating, just display cases and a cashier. Also, it was difficult to find because there is no signage in the parking lot or on the building. The only signage I saw was for Saraga. Once I was in the parking lot I drove around only to see a strip mall with empty store fronts. So I thought that Tous Les Jours had closed. My GPS kept sending me to the front of Saraga. I finally called Tous Les Jours to ask where they were located and the lady who worked there told me they were inside the market. Other than that I was really happy with the food and service.

Yelp
Pro tip: If you want to snag the best goods at a quality bakery, you need to visit early. Like right when they open, preferably. Or at least within a couple hours of opening. I know this, and you should, too. But even though I know this, I'm kind of dumb sometimes, and I visited Tous Les Jours at 6 p.m. Yeah! I had no choice, though, so I went with it. And even though I visited at dinnertime, I was still supremely satisfied with my dessert. I got a piece of the green tea cream cake, which was heavenly. It was just sweet enough, which was nice because sometimes cake can be heavy and cloying. This cake was light, airy, soft and creamy. The cake slices are adorned with an edible chocolate medallion that says "Tous Les Jours" on it. Tres chic. Tous Les Jours offers lots of different flavors of cake slices. When I was there, there was a strawberry cream cake slice, cloud cake slice, blueberry cloud slice, and chocolate cloud slice, sweet potato mousse cake slice, mango cloud slice and many others. Lots of cloud cakes! There was also cheesecake, tiramisu, spoon cake and macarons. They also had a huge selection of beautiful whole cakes ready to purchase. There is a bakery case that looked picked over when I was there. (Remember, I visited in the evening.) But that's a good sign! It looked like there were croissants and danish in the case, which made me again wish I had visited in the morning. Next time, I'll be there early so I can taste one of their croissants. Tous Les Jours is located in Saraga International Grocery, immediately to the left when you enter. You can't miss it.
google avatar

Linda M.

Yelp
I bought 3 pastries - a sweet rice donut ($2.50), a mushroom onion cheese ($3.75) croissant, and a rose macaron ($2.50). The sweet rice donut is large and has red bean paste like Chinese donuts; I liked it because it was not too greasy and had no sesame seeds. It could be filled more though. As for the mushroom onion cheese pastry, I loved it because the mushroom tasted like that in Campbell's cream of mushroom soup and the center mixture was portioned well with the fluffy croissant pastry. As for the beautiful rose macaron, it was unique and I shared it with a friend. She thought it was like eating a flower with rosewater and she convinced me that we won't eat it again as it was strong and had a little aftertaste. I said, "It was an adventure."

Yelp
This is a bakery/coffee shop that is located in the new Saraga International Grocery store. There is tons of parking available here in the store's lot. It is the first spot that you will see when you enter the grocery store. They do not have a designated dining area, but you can sit over at the tables and benches in the stores psedo-food court, to enjoy your treat and take a load off, if you really wanted to They have a wide assortment of baked treats and coffee available. The baked treats are self-serve and you get a try and some tongs and pick what you want out of the plexiglass cases. They have a wide range of items including rolls, croissants, pies, donuts, and bread. I was all in. They also have full cakes behind the counter that you can purchase. If that was not enough, they also off lemonade, coffee, hot chocolate, frappes, and smoothies. I just partook in their baked goods, but their drinks did look delicious. The women that were working there was nice I ended up getting a fruit pastry, some rolls, one of their small pies, and a stuffed bread. They were all pretty good. The French bakery in Greenwood is still my fav, but this is close. I would definitely stop by here again if I was in the area.
google avatar

Lynn N.

Yelp
Located inside of Saraga market. Maybe it's because I went their first week since opening, but they were busy and their goods were going fast. We went at around 11:30am. We had to return to Saraga later in the afternoon and they were already out of most items. They have milk bread, cloud cakes, pastries (savory and sweet options), coffee, and tea. We got a variety. Our favorites were the fried milk buns in their warming case (two types, kimchi and potato curry), the Yuzu turnover, and sweet potato pastry. Overall, a great option in the area for Asian style baked goods.
google avatar

Patricia Abigail H.

Yelp
A French bakery with a cafe, giving it 4 stars due to the fact that there wasn't any fresh pastries on the shelf We got some French macarons and a chocolate cloud cake It was just good, but wished I could try more things besides those, their cakes starts around $40 I think it's a little bit overpriced for a pastry shop that doesn't even have a seating area to enjoy them at
google avatar

Saba K.

Yelp
In the very front of Saraga. The strawberry roll and mango doughnut are my faves. They have some sort options as well. So far everyone has been nice and they move quick. Be sure to grab your tray and tongs. You pick out your items and go to the cashier. The blueberry pastry is always sold out. Will be trying the mango cake next.
google avatar

Mia T.

Yelp
Ah yes! So glad this spot opened in the new Saraga! I know this franchise started in South Korea and I had it when living in Japan! There are always such a great mix of sweet and savory options at this French-Asian inspired bakery. I was so excited to see Tous Les Jours again that I had to restrain myself from buying too much. They didn't have a lot of fresh baked goods available because I came in the evening but I did get the soufflé cheesecake and the cream and strawberry filled croissant. Both were delicious! I loved having the cheesecake with my coffee in the morning. The croissant I had to eat immediately. The cream tasted fresh and not overly sweet. Just a gentle tip, the croissant is very flaky and can be messy so definitely it it over a plate.
google avatar

Wanga K.

Yelp
The place was so cute. The aesthetic was really pleasing to the eye and even though it's in a grocery store it transports you to a cute cafe. There are so many food and drink options. I really enjoyed looking at everything. I loved the Ube latte but I'm pretty sure it's just milk and Ube syrup/jelly. The pound cake was super moist and flavorful. The donut had a great mango cream and was very soft. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
I can't believe I just found this place. Located inside the Sagara International Grocery. There are a number of fantastic food vendors in this market. Tous Les Jours has the loveliest French pastries. We got the Garlic Cream Cheese pastry, Mixed Berry Danish, Croque Monsieur (our favorite try!), a croissant, and Banana milk soft bread. We loved every pastry we tried. Would be a great stop to pick up pastries for a Saturday brunch.
google avatar

Christina B.

Yelp
Delicious and beautiful pastries. Everything is reasonably priced, especially the cakes. The staff were friendly and took care to wrap and package everything nicely.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
This is a great little French-inspired bakery inside the new Saraga grocery in Castleton. They had a range of pastries from croissants, croque madames, as well as some "fusion" pastries like a kimchi croquette. They have a decent variety of coffee and tea options too. Prices are on par with similar establishments. There's a shared seating area with several of the other new restaurants inside the store. My only critiques would be that they don't have a way to warm pastries besides a microwave which can lead to soggy outcomes and that they wrap the pastries individually in bags, then in a larger bag and it felt like bit too much packaging waste. But they seemed to have it all together and be well staffed on their first day!
google avatar

Andrea P.

Yelp
This little bakery is located inside the Saraga international grocery store. I had just ate lunch and was not hungry but their baked goods LOOK AMAZING! I just picked up a drink to shop around with, and it was absolutely amazing! Refreshing and just what I was needing! Can't wait to try some of those baked goods on my next trip there.
google avatar

Yelp
new Asian bakery dropped!! you know i had to make a trip to Saraga especially to visit Tous les Jours. it's small and bustling right at the entrance so you can't miss it. i got an ube latte which i highly recommend for ube lovers. there was a good variety of sweet and savory pastries to choose from. the different cream cheese breads were soft and delicious. also got a sweet frank (hot dog) roll for my dad. he ate it in 2 seconds so i think he liked it. only negative is the server was super annoyed with me when i asked for help. to be fair the item i was looking for was in a pretty clear spot that i missed cause i was too excited by the bread. but i feel like he could have been nicer :( unfortunately because of that interaction i had to take a star away

Kat T.

Yelp
We lived in South Korea for a year and fell in love with their pastries. We appreciated how they were just sweet enough and you didn't feel like you were going into a sugar coma after eating them. The pastries are also on the lighter side, not heavy and dense. So we had to try this place and it was just like we remembered. Perfection!!! I will return every time I pass through Indianapolis. Thank you for bringing it to the US!!
google avatar

Jamie D.

Yelp
So good!! Inside Saraga. We got a scone, lemon pound cake and matcha. All were very good. The lemon pound cake was so moist and delicious!!
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
When I tell you I love Tous les Jours!!! I was so excited to hear they have a location in Indianapolis! I immediately went as soon as I realized and was so delighted by all the Korean-French baked goods :) One of the staff members brought out a fresh batch of croissants and suggested that me and my mom take from the new batch instead which was kind of them! Overall, the quality of the baked goods are amazing and that's why I'm such a fan! I can only wish great things for them :) I'm definitely coming back!
google avatar

Kathleen S.

Yelp
I'm so glad there's a Tous Les Jours in Indiana! This one is located in Saraga right when you walk into the entrance. You pick up a tray, tongs, and wax paper for your tray. I love their assortment and a lot of their pastries aren't too sweet. My favorite has always been the milk bread... it's soft with a little bit of sweet filling. Their cakes are also delicious! If you don't like sweet, they have savory choices too. Once you have your sweets, you go up to the register to pay and can order coffee/tea. I'm so happy there is one nearby!
google avatar

Matthias Y.

Yelp
Happy to see Indy finally has a Tous les Jours. Conveniently located inside of the new Saraga. This is right by the entrance. We really enjoyed the refreshing drinks on a hot summer day. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Erika H.

Yelp
My favorite pastries in the city! Criminally underrated spot and my favorite Sunday morning breakfast!

Yelp
So glad this bakery decided to open here in Castleton. We used to go to Tus le jours on our visit to Chicago. It is a French bakery with asian influence. The best bread here is their simplicity in creating bread with butter cream filling.. it is heavenly. Their croissants are always spot on crispy on the outside and their filling are superb.. If you have not had their cakes, it will be the highlight of your day.. They are not to sweet but full of flavor and its not something you can find at another place.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful and creative Korean-French bakery in the new Saraga. Part of a chain bakery with locations in other cities like NYC, Chicago, LA. Great variety of soft, fluffy breads with Asian-influenced flavors like purple sweet potato loaves and other delicious fresh pastries. Amazing cake selection including a mango mousse cake with delicate vanilla sponge cake layers, fresh mango, and mango whipped cream mousse. Cakes are a bit expensive but are high quality, well packaged, and come with candles/matches/plastic cake knife. Other cake flavors include green tea mousse cake, chocolate mousse cake all of which I can't wait to try. There is also a coffee/tea counter. What a great addition to the Indianapolis area. Will be back many times.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this place. I wish I could go here every day! I tried several pastries and they were all amazing. They even gave me a free extra one when I made my purchase! It was such a pleasant surprise. My favorite purchase was a strawberry cream bread. It was so soft and delicious! Not too sweet! Wish I had pictures, but I ate everything too fast!
google avatar

Kymberli H.

Yelp
Even though it's located in the Saraga grocery store, it's still offers great pastries, and desserts. Hands-down, THE BEST MACARONS in Indiana. The employees are attentive and knowledgeable, which is an appreciated when you want to try new things. Goods are always fresh. They try to evoke an environment of a lovely European/French feel, but it's hard to do in a grocery story.
google avatar

Abhirup M.

Yelp
We had the strawberry cloud cake for my birthday and it tasted amazing. Very light, smooth texture of the cake with fresh strawberries just made the whole experience delightful. The quality speaks for itself!
google avatar

DeAnna P.

Yelp
I could probably make a more well rounded review if I tried something besides their garlic and cheese croissants, but when you've tried perfection, it's hard to branch out to anything else. The service is quick, selection is great, and the garlic and cheese croissants are the perfect mix of salty and sweet, heavy and light, and crispy and soft. Seriously they are heaven on a plate. They are great on their own, or slice them open at home and add bacon for the most decadent breakfast sandwich ever.

Rosie H.

Yelp
Looks better than it is. Pastries were dry. Fruit drinks were artificial. It is clean, service was fast, price was fine. Coffee was fine. Cool grocery store Wouldn't recommend
google avatar

Mariah F.

Yelp
Inside of the Saraga grocery store! Perfect addition to the international space ! Strawberry cream cake & macaroons definitely were amazing !

Lucas S.

Yelp
Having lived in Okinawa, I miss all of the little pastry shops with picture perfect cakes and baked goods. Tous les Jour brings it straight to Indiana. Every option I have tried has been the perfect level of sweetness and flavors. The coffee is also perfect. Ube anything is a treat so the one latte brought me back to the island. The service was fast. I will be going back every time through the area. A must try for anyone who has yet to go.
