"The name is both a play on the owner’s name and a prayer for everlasting prosperity. The menu combines kaiseki and beef, showcasing Japan’s famous wagyu. Tsukuri and wanmono start the evening, celebrating the season. A procession of wagyu variations follows: beef-tail spring rolls, char-grilled tongue, and a main dish of beef cutlet. Japanese and beef dishes delight in equal measure." - Michelin Inspector
We had such a delightful evening. The service was outstanding - friendly, warm, informative. The wines were lovely and the food was exceptionally presented with each course being unique and delicious. Very highly recommended. Thank you to the Towa team for a beautiful evening.

We went here for my husband’s birthday while on our honeymoon, which neither was ever acknowledged. The food was good, but not worth the $350 per person price point. We’ve been to other 1-Star Michelin’s that were better for less. Beautiful food presentation, friendly service, and a beautiful room.

The food here was outstanding. The service was exquisite. An omakase experience that involved fish and beef.

The food was absolutely incredible. Attention to detail was top notch and service was attentive and prompt.
I was here with my brother and, as a woman, was hardly acknowledged by the male staff. This is why I have taken off 2 stars. Every dish was presented to him. All questions were directed to him. All eye contact was directed at him. Again, the quality was top notch, I just left feeling deflated by my lack of acknowledgment as a patron and appreciator of the art and science of this establishment

The Wagyu was incredible but everything else wasn’t that great. There was a single Wagyu course and the rest was primarily fish based.
It’s not worth the ~$350 pp price point

**Unfortunately, there was definitely a gender bias in our experience. I went with my sister (I am a man), and all the conversation and interaction was either only directed at or mediated through me.
As for the food, it was incredible: very seasonal, with clarity of flavor, and a delightful progression of courses.

Towa is a Michelin-starred gem in Tokyo’s Nishi-Azabu, offering a refined take on kaiseki with a focus on premium Wagyu. The Black Wagyu Tongue Steak and oxtail spring rolls were standouts—flavorful, tender, and beautifully presented. The service was flawless, and the intimate setting made the whole experience feel special. A must-visit for anyone seeking top-tier Japanese cuisine.
