Tower Market and Deli

This place is the pits. I really wanted to give it a try, but the food is so not up to par. The meatball sub isn’t like the classic red sauce you’d expect. It’s dry (somehow), super pink, soggy meat on even soggier bread. The thing was dripping in some mystery liquid. Bland with wilted sad veggies. The salad I got was again, super wilted with veggies that were half bad. I bit into a grape tomato and it just turned into a smooshy rotted mess. The ranch tasted off, like Kraft ranch that was left out. The cucumbers had rotted spots in them. There were some positives like our BLT was fine and the waffle fries are actually stellar- but it didn’t make up for the $40 bill where we ended up throwing everything else away. I just wouldn’t chance it here, personally.

I got myself the philly lamb and house fries and I have to say it is pretty good and the service was top notch I love how the layout looked would be coming back for more

Stopped for a bite before work, got the brisket and egg platter. It was a healthy portion of food, eggs were cooked to perfection, brisket in every bite, and a good bit of potatoes to fill you up. Coffee was pretty good as well. Waited about 10 minutes for everything to be ready. All in all for the price, it was absolutely worth it. Definitely coming back. At the time of this post it was 18 bucks for a platter, 16oz coffee and tip.

This was suggested by a professor nearby because it was on a list of local restaurants so I figured to check it out. I got their tower burger with cheese but in a spinach tortilla. It was different but it was definitely delicious. The sweet potato tots were also very delicious and I highly recommend, they didn’t even need any sauce. The customer service was excellent and very friendly also. Like a neighborhood market store where the staff knows their people. I’d definitely come back here again, solid selection of items for a mini convenience store and for the deli side there was a lot to choose for food and coffee. Parking is limited because of peak times.

I travel all over the World and order food from all sorts of places. Tower Market is doing something different and not sure what but I love it. Its delicious, fresh and its exactly what you ordered. Never sat inside. Only did delivery.

If you are a person who expects to be spoken to when you enter an establishment this place isn't for you. If you're expecting someone explain a new experience to you again this isn't for you. However if you want real "Out East" feel and a fantastic lunch this is exactly where you want to be. My food tasted like it was made with love. In a word my order was fresh. The bacon was an amazing blend of juicy and crispy. I could see myself driving across town to just get a turkey avocado sandwich.

We are from out of town decided to try this place so good. We got the Turkey Club good size sandwich and yummy! Also their macaroni salad is good. Great service

Absurd that this place only has a 3.5 star rating. my husband and I live close and come weekly. It's not fancy, but the environment is cool, the people are friendly and the food is amazing! My go to- Philly steak bfast sandwich and the tower burrito also they have the best iced latte in East

I ordered the brisket sandwich Great quality of meat and cheese, the bread was to dry for my test. Prices were not bad and good portions.. Don't go in a rush they take time to prepare. Nice space to seat down. Not really out of this world

I have passed Tower for years and always thought it was a liquor store for some reason...should have checked Yelp long ago! Once I discovered they were slinging sammies, I made it point to stop by immediately! Tower Market and Deli is first, a sandwich shop offering a wide variety of breakfast and lunch style sandwiches from hot to cold, plain to creative...and they even make burgers! In addition to the sandwiches, they have a small market space with chips, snacks, essentials, drinks, milks, etc...and lastly, they have a coffee bar where you can get basic coffee style drinks from cold brew to lattes. When I stopped by I was after a sandwich, but wasn't sure which one I was going to try...until I saw the East Nasty! A sandwich spot on the west end of town has a sandwich called the West Nasty, and it has forever been my favorite sammy in the city. So, naturally when I saw this Eastside dup, I had to get it! The East Nasty is a hot sandwich served on ciabatta with a thin fried cutlet topped with ham, pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapenos and a house made sauce. It is phenomenal! I sided it their house fried chips, which honestly were a bit over fried sadly. Service was friendly and helpful. They called me out when I walked in, helped me on my sandwich decision journey and were friendly at turnover and checkout. Oh, forgot to mention that if you are interested in enjoying your goods onsite, they do have a small area inside of the market with tables and counters. Overall, glad to know Tower is a legit sandwich spot. While a bottle of vodka is good, a solid sandwich is better!

Not good. Would never order from here again. The gluten free "bread" for your sandwich is actually a gf hamburger bun. I hate when restaurants do this. Meat was also burnt.

Quick service, fresh ingredients and solid sandwiches. Checked all the boxes for a deli! They have enough sandwich options that I'm sure everyone can find something they like. Has a few parking spots in the front, but I imagine these get full quickly during busy hours.

I just love it here! My first time having tower deli was on my birthday a few years ago and someone had brought me a breakfast burrito. More recently, we went and split the breakfast blt and the breakfast burrito as well as an iced coffee with a touch of half n half. The breakfast blt was our favorite, it was perfectly toasted the egg was fired to a medium yolk. Hit the spot. The breakfast burrito was good, but not the best we've had from here but pretty good. Casual, quick, but delicious dining. Lots of options, will be working on making my way through the menu.

Never been quite sure what this spot truly was. After stopping in I'm still not totally in the know. Like 2/3 sandwich shop, part coffee shop, part convenience store it's a unique place. The crew at the sandwich shop was absolutely slammed and hustling during lunch hour. I tried the Reuben here and found it to be very mediocre. The meat was of good quality, the bread was a bit greasy and under roasted and the cheese was an unmelted slab in the middle of the sandwich. There's better sandwich shops in the area, would recommend seeking them out.

Ordered a sandwich, tots, coffee and cookies via Uber eats. Sandwich came with a pickle which was good. Sandwich itself was decent although I ended up taking out the very thick American cheese. Coffee was way too bitter and the cookies came with parchment stuff to them. I think they're just from the premade frozen nestle dough. Tots weren't even remotely crispy so I ate 1 to try and tossed the rest.

The three star reviews are pretty accurate for this place. I've always wanted to try but I could have kept driving by. The food was just ok. As reviews have stated before, the potatoes are not made to order and are served cold. I did enjoy the brisket omelet as it was made fresh. I did not like my mocha coffee. I don't like the taste of Hershey syrup that was used to made it so I was put off by that. I did not like the fact that I tipped only for my food to not be brought to me. They call you up to pick up any items you offer. Some of the employees were cursing at each other which I wouldn't expect at a deli. Either way, I tried this place but I am definitely not rushing to come back unfortunately. There is also very limited parking. The only saving grace is that the food is affordable.

Never disappoints -- no frills sandwich stop and market. The sandwiches are always great and definitely good value for your dollar, with portions being large enough to take half and have later as a leftover. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It can get busy at times so if you're on a time crunch, consider ordering ahead especially during busy hours around lunch.

I'm in love with the breakfast BLT, I get it with an everything bagel. This place has a little bit of everything and I love it. Snacks, drinks, coffee, sandwiches, breakfast foods and more! Service is quite fast even when busy. Ambience is giving chill study spot or quick lunch stop. I will say parking can be a little stressful so watch out for that.

Place takes forever to make a sandwhich. Typically there are 20 Uber orders infront of yours and you just sit around and wait

This was catered to us at work so I'm not sure about the ambiance, however we placed the order online and it was ready on time. I got the Cuban sandwich and it was right on. Could you get the boars head meat and cheese and press the sandwich yourself, yes but why do that when they can do it for you? It is a big sandwich so be ready to save some for later. All around not too shabby.

After passing many times, we stopped in for the first time a while back, and boy are we happy to discovered it. Julia delivered on our latest visit. Excellent customer service. Happy, friendly, and eager to help. The quality of the products are consistently good. Portion sizes are substantial. There is also quite a variety to appeal to most tastes. the reason is only 4 stars is because beside Julia the rest of employees feel like they doing a favor to us and have long faces and and attitude u say hi and they just look at you, hope they learn from Julia, BTW if u want different beagels u can place an order 24 hrs in advance

service always ok staff fine. food is consistent in its profound disappointment I can get a better croissant at the Walmart deli in a plastic box A little salt and pepperA little salt and pepper would go along way and what you call chicken salad that you've put on a cardboard that you a croissant again, it's just that it's consistent and I live in the neighborhood and it's not hard to do. They're just sandwiches.

If you're looking for a local spot. Stop in and pick your poison. From sandwiches to burritos to full breakfast plates! Oh my!!! ...... Their breakfast burritos are always super delicious. Chessey-meaty-potatoE- saucy-. ALL THE Es. absolutely chefs kiss 100 percent the bees knees. Everything you want in a breakfast burrito gift wrapped to perfection just for you with their special silver gift wrap aka foil. One Can never go wrong with a hot pastrami or Ruben!! Fries. Pasta salad. So Stop in & grab a Sammy. Your stomach can thank me later. You're welcome! -kris.

All I've had here is the chorizo breakfast burrito. Tremendous. Basic, straight forward and delicious.

The customer service is Yikes Bro, could we pay them another $1 per hour to try and smile? That is if you can find parking to actually get in there.

An East staple is the Tower, the food is what you wanna get here. The products in the grocery section are usually pretty expensive. The fresh sandwiches are pretty affordable and the coffee well it's not rage worth but definitely goes the job. The staff is what keeps me coming back, friendly and knowledgeable. The board at the back always has something new happening in East on it. Making it really feel like a community place. I'd say if you haven't tried em yet, you should!

I'd seen some food bloggers saying Tower Market makes the best breakfast burrito, so I had to try it. The menu description sounded like a regular breakfast burrito so I couldn't imagine it was any different from the burritos elsewhere -- but they were incredible. I don't know what the secret is, but these are the most delicious breakfast burritos in Nashville. No close second.

Decided to stop here on our way out of town having seen it on Instagram a few times. Everything about it was just okay. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel, which was good but took forever. I also had an iced dirty chai which I felt like didn't have a ton of flavor. Overall, an okay experience, but not sure I would go out of my way to come here again.

So, I checked out Tower Deli, hoping for some good ol' comfort food. Gotta say, everything I tried was on point - like a little food hug after a night out. But, here's the kicker: I caught the owner physically going off on one of the workers, slamming an egg on her head, and it immediately changed the vibe. It felt extremely uncomfortable. I wasn't sure if this is a regular thing or a one-time deal, but it made me wonder if I should step in and help out. Honestly, the food's great, but that whole incident put a dent in the experience. Hopefully, they sort things out 'cause everyone deserves a tasty meal in a chill environment.

Loved The Godfather sandwich!!!!!! The bread was soft, the meat was good and the mustard was the perfect addition (I didn't get the Sabi sauce). They have a wide variety of items to order and the staff were nice!

sandwiches here are good, but they are sometimes slow and may not be exactly right. Most recently I got an avocado egg bagel and I added cheese, but when I got my bagel it was missing the cheese as well as the arugula. I will still come back here because I like the vibe and their wide selection of items. Parking lot is kind of small but you can always find street parking!

Food is awesome. Wait is FOREVER. In fact, if you're starving, you better bring a snack with you.

Tower deli was good, emphasis on was. Sometimes, mostly on weekdays they are on point, but once they are busy it's hard for them to keep up. If you call to place an order on a weekend morning, you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning while sitting on your toilet than them answering the phone. Once they do they put you on hold until you give up or they hang up on you. It's gotten pretty ridiculous. I'm from New Jersey and grew up with a lot of sandwich shops and a delicatessen on every other block. That being said, I have seen stores with double the volume and half the staff cranking out bacon egg and cheeses at neck break speed, all while answering the phone every time it rang... Come on guys... you can do it The food is alright, nothing to write home about. Wish they had Kaiser rolls instead of sweet rolls for their sandwiches... but every now and then this place is good for a not-so-quick breakfast.

I came back here to give them one more try. Instead of improving, their 2 stars have fallen to 1. In all fairness, they should get 0. I ordered: The Italian Prosciutto, Ham, Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, Provolone & Sabi Sauce on a Hero I got a sandwich (if you want to call it that) with no dressing of any kind. No Sabi Sauce, no mustard, no nothing. Just on dry, stale white hoagie bread. I asked them to hold the Pepperoni. Instead, it had no Prosciutto and no salami. Just ham and turkey and white cheese, lettuce and tomato. Dry, stale and not even the right ingredients for an "Italian" sandwich. They had like seven workers behind the counter, no masks and, apparently, no f***s given. I wish I could take the tip back because they don't deserve one. Dreadful. Dreadful. Dreadful.

Very neat place. Smells wonderful and great military discount. Super nice staff! Food looks awesome. Baked goods are phenomenal.

What a fabulous atmosphere! It has been a LONG time since i have seen such a bright and happy looking staff. It was like a breath of fresh air not to mention my turkey avocado sandwich was delicious.

I go here all the time. I've ordered the reuben, the bec, the waffle fries, chicken biscuit, and the turkey avocado. Today I went in to get the turkey avocado, which I normally love. Unfortunately the hero they gave it to me on was stale and so it felt like I was ripping teeth to eat the sandwich. They also forgot to add the cheese to the sandwich :( I still love this place and am gonna return but I do feel like they're inconsistent with their food. I feel like this sandwich has some room for improvement, they could use fresh bread, season the avocado, toast the sandwich so the cheese gets melty. Todays sandwich tasted sad.

I've passed this place a hundred times but finally stopped in for dinner a few nights ago. I got the east nasty sandwich for my boyfriend (he loved it). I ordered the meatball sub for myself and sweet potato tots. I didn't so much care for the sub, it was a bit different than a typical meatball sub-- not as Italian. The sweet potato tots were outrageously delicious. The man I ordered with was great, but I got a lot of attitude from the cashier because I hadn't been before. However, I think she was a teenager so I didn't take it too personally. Although I didn't like my sandwich, I definitely want to come back and try other things here-- especially breakfast. Parking lot in front, small market inside, and a few tables and chairs!

Sometimes it's 4 stars, sometimes it's 2 Wildly inconsistent but when it's on its good. Fair prices and good bread.

There are a few different choices for food in this place I went to the bbq joint, their food was good and the staff was friendly, I didn't end up having to wait very long either

Wonderful deli for breakfast and or lunch. Locally owned and operated with amazing staff behind the counter. Anything you can imagine in the form of a sandwich, wrap or a bowl they can pretty much make it. My favorite is the Ruben for lunch and the tower breakfast burrito for breakfast, obviously. I would recommend ordering ahead as sometimes this is very popular space gets pretty busy for lunch and breakfast.

We tried Tower Deli for the first time on Monday. The avocado on my sandwich was really brown and I was dumb and ate it anyway. I was violently ill for 3 days after that. Beware! They clearly don't care about serving spoiled food to customers.

Bandaid in my chicken salad. Dont go here. Im absolutely disgusted by this place. Definitely should wear gloves if an employee has cuts on their fingers. What's wrong with people.

Okay, today is like the 4th time they've given me an egg salad sandwich when I ordered bulk egg salad in a tub. Their food is good but I don't get what I order and it really sucks! I just want egg salad to put on my own toast and for it to last for a couple of days. I even asked the delivery guy to please check it and his response was "I know, this place is bad" lol. He didn't check and it was still wrong when it was delivered but it's not the delivery guy's fault. So unless you're a local way in the East part of East Nashville & are able to walk into this place and make sure you get what you order, I wouldn't order delivery or take out without checking your food before you leave.

I went to Tower Market and Deli for the first time and it was great! I love the casual, indoor seating area - not frilly just some tables to sit and eat. Service was quick. The fries were delicious and hot. I will definitely be back.

i haven't been here in probably 5 years but WOW! Still as good as I remember. Employees were great. Ordered the breakfast & the tower burrito. They were both amazing. The iced coffee was great, except I wish they wouldn't upcharge for nondairy milks.

The food is always good however the slow preparation and employees yelling at each other combined with the price make me less likely to go.

45 minutes before they close and all the chairs are put up so there's no seating. Doesn't appear to be a staffing issue, looks like 6 employees behind the counter. I get carry out from here often, and the evening service has generally left something to be desired. The foods pretty good and it's close to my house, so you just kinda take this as it is. I've gotten used to expecting something like this.

I've only eaten here once, so the 'inconsistency' claims in other reviews was not an issue. I had a turkey club and it was really delicious. My son eats here often and has never had a complaint. The way the lettuce is tossed with mayo makes every bite. Good bread and deli meats. Friendly, a little longer wait than other options, but worth it.
