Curious to see what all the buzz was about, I recently visited this long-standing local hangout that's clearly popular with the neighborhood crowd. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.
To start with the positives: our server was excellent—friendly, attentive, and definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. The restaurant is cash only, which felt inconvenient in this day and age.
The menu is extremely limited, offering just pizza, salad, and sandwiches. That’s it. I tried the pizza, which came out as a greasy, thin-crust, personal-sized portion, lacking much flavor. They do have beer, cocktails, and wine.
While the restaurant is clearly a staple in the community—judging by the consistently full parking lot—the draw seems to be more about the bar scene than the food. The main bar room is loud, making it difficult to have a conversation, so it’s definitely not ideal for a date night.
They do offer takeout, which might be a better option if you're determined to try it. Overall, unless you're in it for the drinks or nostalgic vibes, there are better food spots elsewhere.
