"Towneship is a dinner destination built in a 150-year-old Swedish church, featuring outdoor dining, private event space, a chef’s table, a bar, and impressive architecture. It offers a unique dining experience in the suburbs with local and seasonal cuisine, featuring dishes like lobster corn dogs, crab beignets, and a massive ribeye for two. It hopes to bring city-like dining experiences to the suburbs." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

All this wonderful atmosphere and they place you in a “naked” corner with a huge TV next to you. We booked our date night days in advance and were excited about our first visit but got placed in a corner that looked nothing like the photos I saw and the greeter told us they cannot move us. Food was good. Red Sangria was horrendous. It should not be called Sangria at all. I could not drink it and it was taken off our bill. There is no point of coming to this place unless you can get a table in a fancy room.

I recently had dinner here and our entire party was completely satisfied. I chose this place based on the fact that they source their ingredients locally. I ordered a chicken pot pie for my entree and it was SO DELICIOUS!!!! It was crust-less and instead it was topped with a cornbread "crust" (see the pic). It was rich with flavor and unlike any chicken pot pie I have ever eaten. The atmosphere of this restaurant is so warm and inviting. Whoever designed this place did an amazing job! Thee gas fireplace on the back wall adds warmth to the central dining room. Service was good, although the place was a bit on the quiet side as I was there for an early Sunday dinner. I recommend this restaurant to those that appreciate quality local food ingredients paired with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

So glad we decided to come for a date night. This restaurant is similar to the Farmers Daughter in the attention to details. Every piece of decor fits and compliments the food and overall mood of the place. I like that the menu split with small plates and appetizer portions first. We ended up with the meat and cheese charcuterie. No regrets with that. We also both got the apple walnut gnocchi. The flat wear is no frills but the food blew me away. The dinner portions are not huge (compared to chain restaurants) but was PLENTY. We would definitely come back again. We had no complaints about how the food was cooked or seasoned. I'm full but already thinking about when to come back!

My wife and I enjoyed the great prices of DOB week. First courses were amazing. My corn chowder was sublime. Main course too was good, with the perfect portion size - both of us opted for the hanger steak. Desserts - both my wife and mine were disappointing given the standard of food that preceded them - hence 4 and not 5 stars. Service, decor, etc all top notch.

My husband and I finally were able to sample the menu last night and we were floored! The mushroom tasting and potato Croquettes were out of this world. I'm a vegetarian and there were plenty of items on the menu that I could choose from which was very accommodating. Although, all of those entrees sounded amazing. The service was fantastic and the ambiance was very inviting and warming. I can't wait to go back and be there for a Thursday or Friday night and listen to some live music while having an amazing dinner.

The facility is very nice, I was impressed with the decor and overall design. Execution of the meal was lacking as my wife and I ordered the salmon cooked differently and our plates were switched during serving, even though I reminded them during delivery. The food was good but drinks were disappointing for the price. 2 grey goose martinis $15/each at the bar filled 3/4 inch from the top, Margaritas $18 each served in small rocks glasses. In my opinion over priced and lacking. The service was good both at the bar and table. I am giving it 4 stars due to the food quality, but 3 for value.

We loved the interior and creativity of the menu but.. Our waitress totally forgot about us as other tables filled in her area. I had to summons someone to get her. The food is good, but I found my portion small. I have had the same dish in other places, and this was the smallest portion by far. My beef was also not a good cut and was fatty, Unfortunately, we will probably not return unless they can improve.the portions given the prices.

The building and architecture is very well designed and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately farmers daughter next door which has delicious dishes sets the precedent for this restaurant and its very disappointing. We live near by and we were hoping Towneship was going to be the restaurant to keep us local instead of going to Providence & Boston. The food was a 4/10, just average especially for the price you pay. So if your looking for a fun spot with a nice atmosphere and drinks this is the place. If your looking for delicious food you'll have to head to the city.
