We decided to try this place for lunch, but unfortunately it will be our first and last visit. We had very good service, and the drink specials are very reasonable.
The food, however, was awful.
The better half had breakfast with eggs that were very very oily and overfried chunks of potato. I ordered the wonton soup only to be greeted by a bowl of broth with some soy sauce thrown in, oddly cut bell peppers and some leafy greens. The wontons were very rubbery and kind of grainy from the one I tried, and there was a whole piece of fast fry pork just kind of sitting in the broth. It was peppered and looked kind of pan fried but sitting in the hot broth made it look like the sole of a shoe was in the soup. It was very hard to the touch and I did not try it at all since all I had were chopsticks and it was promptly sent back.
Kudos to our waitress however for being graceful about sending our food back. We left hungry.
Overall the pub itself was nice, a little loud for an afternoon as we couldn't really have a conversation, and again the drink specials were very reasonably priced, but not enough to entice us to try this pub again, at least not to come for a meal here when there are other places nearby.
