Google
It's fun to get competitive on this ride! Tip: look at the bottom of the screen for high point items!

Google
Mr potato 🥔 head is cool the inside is so cool, and fun, and reminds me of childhood TV family shows. And I cook 🍳 at this ride and at the end when you get out upu go upstairs into Andy's room then after downstairs leads you into the gift shop

Google
Toy Story Ride always had hour long line as its kids love it. so better get in here early. you might be able to meet toystory characters and get photo opportunity. Be preparead with snack and drink as wait time are long but kids love this you like Toy Story like me. Come here, it's very nice. They have some fun games, here you can meet the characters and take pictures with them. Especially with a raite from Buzz, you will have to help him save the galaxy. You will travel to infinity and beyond

We spent 1 of 3 days in Disney at DCA and it was so much fun! My suggestion - rope drop in this order: Radiator Springs, Web Slingers, Guardians of the Galaxy. Start with the 3 most popular to avoid super long waits. We used G+ for TSMM & it was a blast! Took 15 min to get on when reg wait was an hour! Highly recommend using G+ on this one. Also, don’t bother getting the after ride pic! Quality is awful/ blurry. Not worth time entering your email address.

Google
such a fun ride i always try and get lightning lane for it. i usually am not competitive, but i lost for the first time in years and i need to go back and practice.

Google
Lines move quick, and the games are fun and challenging when you compete with a friend or family member! This is definitely not a ride to go solo on as you will be competing with the passenger next to you for the higher score!

Google
This is one of my favorite games to play with my husband. This is one of the only games I'm guaranteed to beat him at least one out of 5 games 😆. I'm the type to mess with him all day and tell him I'm the winner... oh what's wrong? I won!!

Yelp
An update...I still love this ride. Is it really a ride? I guess more of an attraction with an interactive game. L O C A T I O N Past Pixar Pier down, go past Incredicoaster and when you see the big Mr. Potato Head, you've found it. L I N E Lines can be long for this ride depending on the time of the day and if it breaks down. It's still as popular as ever and they do blast the AC even when it's cool in the covered line area so bring a jacket if you don't like to freeze. There is a Lightning Lane pass for this ride so if you're into that, then get one before it runs out. E X P E R I E N C E The ride is in 3D so you get to wear those fancy yellow 3D glasses. Then basically in a car of 4 with 2 people on each side, you get to go through a series of carnival games. You get to pull a string a lot...so if you have RSI issues and a competitive streak, you may want to do this ride maybe once or twice before your forarm hurts, or perhaps learn to pull fast with your less dominant hand. T I P S + Aim low. A lot of big points are lower for kids to find. + Try to steal points from your opponent :) Other than that, just have a good ol' fun time. O V E R A L L I'll keep going on this ride and do it at least twice. I try to do it early in the morning before it gets super impacted. Hopefully they keep it around for a while!

Yelp
I loved this ride so much I'm not usually one for a shooter based type ride but it's so fun and theming is great! As an adult who grew up on Toy Story I think this is such a fun ride. Those little vehicles you're in move FAST making this ride a little more thrilling and fun than its Disneyland counter part Astro Blasters.

Yelp
Such a FUN RIDE to go on, especially if you're with a buddy and you get to challenge them to see who scores the most points at bullseye!!! This ride feels about 5-10 minutes long, and it includes both Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Once you get past the outdoor waiting area, you could beat the heat indoors with their AC on. It does get a bit overcrowded inside in line since the room is quite small for the maximum capacity it holds, so be prepared if you get claustrophobic easily. Also, they give you 3D glasses you need to wear in order to have the ultimate experience playing the games on the ride. Carnival-like vibes on this one. Great times, always!!

Yelp
Disneyland has Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and California Adventure has Toy Story Midway Mania! (exclamation point not mine). Both are shooting games based on the Toy Story movies, their openings only a few years apart, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. I like Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, but Toy Story Midway Mania! is about a hundred times better. It's one of the best rides in California Adventure, and definitely the best without height restrictions. The line gets long, so it's a great place to use your Lightning Lane passes if you have them. We took our tiny boys and the four of us fit in one car. Did the two-year-old wear his 3D glasses? Not for more than a second. But all of us had a blast. Toy Story Midway Mania! is a "4D" shooting game, where you go through several mini-games firing projectiles at a colorful variety of moving targets. The graphics are adorable and extremely well done, and I appreciate that the shooting involves pulling a ball on a string to throw eggs and baseballs. About as nonviolent as a shooting game can be. I'm not particularly good at this game, but it's really fun even when you're missing most of your shots. I had our four-year-old in my lap, and he claimed that we'd beaten his dad and brother, even though my husband had the higher score. We didn't correct him with much enthusiasm, so he may still believe in his team's victory. In any case, we'll have a rematch before too long. With small kids and Lightning Lane passes, Toy Story Midway Mania! is a mandatory ride. We'll be back next time we visit California Adventure.

Yelp
I love this ride because I always try to beat my wife, only did once and that's because her gun wasn't working properly "LOL" hahaha

Yelp
Yup still my favorite ride.... I like to compete with my family lol.... So fun and super cute ride. I think kids of all ages and adults would enjoy this ride. Very hands on and interactive. Try to arrive early this ride does have long lines, but worth the wait in my opinion.

Yelp
Mr. Potato head at the Boardwalk is super fun! He moves and talks. You walk up and grab 3D glasses (or is it considered 4D these days I don't know?), and then you sit on the ride. This one reminds me of the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster ride. Same concept. You are competing with the person next to you. You get a "gun" to shoot the targets. Some targets are worth more points. The object is to get the most points to beat whoever you are riding with lol I am terrible with these types of games. That could be due to never wearing my prescription glasses lol but still it is not as easy as you would think!
google avatar

Yelp
Every single umbrella in the waiting line had gnats flying over and getting in peoples hair. Fun ride, but definitely need to clean the umbrellas or get pest control!
google avatar

Yelp
You can review theme park rides on Yelp?! What!! Anyway.. this ride feels more like a series of interactive games but still super fun either way. Every time I go back to DCA, I wanna go on Midway Mania to compete with whoever I'm with. I'm not the best at aiming but each scene has different tasks to do to keep everyone on their toes. If you're visiting from out of town, don't skip this "ride"!
google avatar

Crystal G.

Yelp
They kept telling me we went on this ride last time . I said no we did not. We had a gun with a trigger. So I guess there's two Toy story target rides . Another shooting game but you have to pull the cord . A major arm workout. Come to Disneyland Be happy work out and spend money!
google avatar

Ryan L.

Yelp
This ride is soo much fun!! Our favorite is "Let's break some plates'" it's for sure a must do for all ages!
google avatar

Tamara T.

Yelp
I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes for this ride, but if you have kids it's probably worth an hour wait. It's basically a point and shoot video game that takes you through different scenarios. It's really fun and if your party is competitive this is the ride for you. It's really anyone's game too, there's times where I'm the top of the pack and other times where I'm dead last and same for the others. Definitely great fun for the family, but if it's over an hour I'd say skip this and come back when it's 30 minutes or less.

Yelp
This is always a long wait but super worth it! Imagine being shrunk to toy size with the Toy Story gang and playing all the boardwalk midway games in 3D! It's super cute! One thing about this ride at Disney California Adventure Park is the queue! Mr. Potato Head greets you as a carnival barker! Enticing everyone to try out the ride! It's super cute! There is a person behind the head that may respond to you! You are loaded into a 4 person chair that has 2 people back to back and off you go! There are twists and twirls and turns at every new game. At the end, your scores are tallied up to see who got the best score in your car. I'm not great because my arm gets tired. But I try my best! You get to play 6 different rounds with darts, balls, rings, plates, etc. The final round is where your arm will fall off trying to get the most points! Definitely recommended!

Yelp
Absolutely love this ride!! It is SO much fun. Definitely makes you a tad bit dizzy (but I get motion sick really easily). I usually take a Dramamine nowadays whenever I go to the park because a handful of rides make me sick but I love getting on them LOL. :( This one is so much more fun with friends!! It's fun competing against them and EXHAUSTING. It is such a workout because every game consists of you pulling on the little ball attached to the string/wheel. It is super tiring and eventually you'll probably have to switch hands to get a fresh start so be ready! Games go by quick but this ride is definitely worth the 45+ minute wait. IG: @ammysalamii

Yelp
Spider-Man's Web-Slingers vs. Toy Story's Midway Mania: Spider-Man's Web-Slingers is an upgraded version of Toy Story's 3-D, immersive arcade-style shooting game, Midway Mania. Instead of shooting with sling-shots like in Midway Mania, you shoot with the flick of your wrists, at the moving spider-bots to eject the web at your targets. While the targets in Midway Mania, are both moving and non-moving, most targets in Slingers are moving. Slingers can be a hard ride to get on as it's fairly popular, and it's another up charge if you opt for making it one of your lightening lane selections. To avoid the additional cost, I recommend getting to the park early and making this one of the rides you line up for first, only after Radiator Spring's Racers (if that's a ride you're hoping to go on also, and also a paid lightening lane selection). Out of the two - Slingers and Mania - slingers is my preferred if feasible - they both offer the same level of fun, but Mania always leaves my elbow tired and sore from pulling on the slingshot to shoot at targets. Whether you go on both, or one of these, these are fun all ages.

Yelp
This is hubby's favorite ride. He is competitive and this ride brings out the competitiveness in him. There is ALWAYS a line for this ride. I've waited about 45 minutes for this ride but it's worth it. This ride is very interactive and allows you to compete with the person beside you. It moves fast as you're shooting objects carnival style. I definitely got a bit dizzy a few times. The ride does unfortunately pause from time to time, but you get to practice shooting while that happens. Definitely a great ride but be prepared to wait for awhile if you are interested in checking it out!
google avatar

Yelp
If you are competitive be nature, then it's time to crush your friends and family at this attraction! There are several different ways to showcase your skills, and try to get a high score. The vehicle navigates itself making it easier to maneuver to focus on getting a straight shot. Don't forget your 3D glasses, and good luck!
google avatar

Gina J.

Yelp
My absolute favorite ride in DCA. So fun and quenches my thirst for competition. I don't usually think getting genie plus is worth it but since the line for this ride can be super long, in my moment of impatience, I'll opt to pay the extra money to walk right through. If you've got little kids, this ride is great because there aren't any scary parts, and if they're familiar with Toy Story, it'll be all around fun for them.

Yelp
This is a fun ride especially if you're in a competitive mood. It reminds me of a boardwalk pier type of shooting gallery game but at an alleviated 4D level. But I'm horrible at it. My wrist and arm gets tired early on and my shots get messy and big time miss the targets. Oh well... I have fun trying though. The ride is on Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure park. You sit in a 2 person cab. The cab swivels about taking you to different midway games. You take your cannon blaster and move it while pulling a cord trigger to shoot. Oh boy, this is a workout on my arms. My advice is to keep shooting away at the targets even when you move away from the screen to the next game. Don't stop playing as you transition between games. The game is continuous. Your score is tallied up and displayed in the cab and at the big board at the end of the game. The end of the ride strategically walks into a gift shop. You guessed it, the shop showcases Toy Story items. Prior to boarding the ride, you grab a pair of 4D glasses. They are all firmly stacked in trays, you grab them out yourselves. They are pre-cleaned. But with the multitude folks touching them, I had my own fresh bacterial wipe to swipe my pair clean. They don't provide wipes. If you're concerned, I recommend traveling with wipes to Disneyland. In front of the ride attraction is a humongous animatronic Mr Potato Head jibber jabbering away with the crowd. You don't need to be in the queue to get close to this. Cute selfie opp.

Yelp
Pew, pew, pew A 3D shooting gallery, with 2-person cars twisting & turning to the next animated screen, Toy Story Midway Mania is a fun, albeit tiring, interactive ride. I thought the passenger cars would be moving throughout, but that's only between transversing to the next virtual gallery. I had a good time on Toy Story Midway Mania. The shooting gallery displays could use an upgrade (especially with Web Slingers at Avengers Campus). Brighter, high definition. Plus, moving through the building, it seemed drab like a garage, from what I recall. Some artificial scenery, corresponding to the shooting galleries in that row, would enhance the ambiance of an entertaining, interactive ride.
google avatar

Matt M.

Yelp
We love this ride. I almost always get highest score in the vehicle.
google avatar

Ryan L.

Yelp
Consistently one of the longest wait times at Disney California Adventure Park, but if you haven't had a chance to go once it is worth it. The setup is like a large, mobile arcade where you shoot targets to gain points as you compete with other guests in your buggy.
google avatar

Sean B.

Yelp
One of the best rides at both parks. Get there early (we always shoot for right when the parks open).
google avatar

Chanté B.

Yelp
You get to wear reusable glasses that you wear through the ride and discard in a trash looking bin so they are sanitized and we used by the next guest. Be prepared to participate in this ride you to flick a ball that flys and knocks down things in each screen you go through. They keep your score and at the end you can see what you got in total of points and it shows where you placed in the round of people. Your arms get super tired but it's a fun ride with your family. customer service was great too. Some of the workers are not that nice when you would think since this place is referred as the "Happy Place on Earth" the workers would be more cheerful.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down one of the most fun rides in the park. We had not done this one in Orlando, so when we had the chance here we jumped in. Being that we got to the park when the gates opened we scored fast passes and got on pretty early. All the Toy Story characters are here. A few like Woody and Buzz Lightyear are walking around the midway interacting with kids and taking pics. Mr Potato Head is holding court while you wait on the queue. This isn't just a ride. It's a crazy.3-D shooting gallery! Sit in your moving bench next to your partner and have at it to compete for the high score. Breaking plates, rings, pies, darts, balloons, you name it. Everything but the kitchen sink. Awesome spund effects and music. A ton of fun and your arm will be tired after this one but it's worth it. Also seemed like it's a long ride so it's worth the wait. If you like shooting galleries it's a must to do in the park. Yeah, later on we saw the wait time over 90 minutes. Get the fast pass if you can or get on as soon as the gates open.
google avatar

Monique W.

Yelp
Toy Story Midway Mania is located in Disneyland's California Adventure. There is a Toy Story Midway Mania located at Disneyworld as well at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The wait time for the Orlando ride is a lot shorter than at Disneyland's California Adventure. Typical wait-time for this ride is between 20 - 50 minutes during peak days. Toy Story Midway Mania is next to the Incredicoaster at Disney's Pixar Pier. The wait queue is pretty cool! It's themed like your in the Woody and Buzz Lightyears room. This ride is a 3D, ride on track, shooting style gallery. It's similar to Buzz lightyear Astro Blasters at Disneyland's Tomorrowland, except you're inside a shooting gallery. It's a two seater ride on each booth. You compete with your partner in the ride to see whom can get the highest score. You'll be hitting a variety of items such as plates, balloons and much more! I'd highly recommend if this is your first time at Disney California Adventure to check out this ride first thing in the morning. The wait time can get relatively lengthy at this ride throughout the day. There is also a fast pass, or soon to be Disney Genie available for Toy Story Midway Mania. If you get motion sickness easily, I'd recommend avoiding this ride as it requires 3D glasses and does turn your relatively quickly during screen to screen for the shooting galleries.
google avatar

Cristina B.

Yelp
Such a fun ride that brings out your competitive side! Highly suggest using lightening lane to avoid the long lines.
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is one of my all time favorite rides at Disneyland. This last trip wasn't the same without it, although the husband and I were able to ride the similar-ish ride, Midway Mania. Midway Mania did have a glitch during the ride for us, as one of the screens was completely dark and additionally I wasn't a fan of glasses being required to ride the ride (they're obviously all cleaned, but still) however both of those things being said, it's a fun ride that is definitely worth the wait. It's probably my favorite ride in all of Disney's California Adventure since it's at heart an interactive point and shoot ride, just missing the pictures that are one of the best parts of Buzz All in all, if you're at DCA, definitely stop by Midway Mania for a little bit of pie throwing joy.
google avatar

Ann T.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best rides in the park. Worth waiting an hour for. Just have your phone on, connected to an external battery, and log onto the free Wi-Fi, and grind on your mobage while you're standing in line. It's super fun and interactive with the arcade midway games that you play against your ride partner and the rest of the riders. My only qualm was that it broke down 4 times while we were on it and there were so many delays waiting for the ride. A nice perk is that when the ride broke down and we were in front of a screen, it'd give us some free practice shooting!
google avatar

Elena N.

Yelp
For some reason, one of our FastPasses defaulted to any ride in the park. Since all the kids (aged 2.5 to 7 years) could ride Midway Mania, we decided to use them on this ride. We were here on Sunday, November 18th, sometime in the late evening. I played against the oldest kid. Though I actually kicked her bottom, I didn't do that well versus other real adults. Still, this was an interactive and fun ride. I just think their shooting mechanism can be a little tiring. Who wants to be pulling on balls all the time. Or I guess have their balls pulled at? Yes, pun was intended here. Fun game for all ages. Just make sure to get a FastPass as their normal line was super long.
google avatar

Carla z.

Yelp
I absolutely love this ride !! This is one of my favorite rides my kids absolutely love it it does not go fast nor is a high speed rollercoaster or anything at all it's a fun kid ride for all ur family and friends to enjoy , this ride u can have so much fun with ur kiddos and so recommend for ur little ones!
google avatar

Patricia S.

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite rides. Went on here with my mom and had a lot of fun. Will definitely be going on this ride again. It is a pretty fun ride to get on. It's like a big arcade game where you wear 3D glasses and shoot at targets to get some points.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
Toy story ... spinning car .... blaster gun ..... intrigued? You should be!!! Line can be in excess of an hour late in the day, ride early before it get's crowded. Take aim and show off your shooting skills as you pair off against your co-rider as you shoot a variety of targets that pop into sight as your car spins about giving you different vantage points. Obviously this is high stakes competition at it's greatest. To the winner ... well I guess a pat on the back or depending on who you were riding with the complaints of how their gun wasn't working properly .... nevermind ... just ride ... shoot ... have fun! Fun ride for all ages, nothing scary about this one.
google avatar

Nicole V.

Yelp
Toy Story Midway Mania is the shooting game counterpart of AstroBlasters in Tomorrowland at Disneyland. However, instead of shooting at targets with a space them battling Zurg you are shotting at moving targets with a Western Cowboy theme with 3D glasses too You are also shooting at movie screens while you move along a designated track. There is also a added competitive aspect to the game as there is a Best score in each individual car. There are 2 in each row and then 4 in each car, each with a designated color. My favorite part of this ride are the secret high-point targets that open up if you hit certain targets. They are usually located at the top of the screen. For example, hitting the flow of the lava volcano actually makes the volcano erupt with volcanic balloon targets that are worth high points. The line for this ride can get pretty long, but the best seret hack I found is that if you can beat the line by asking the cast member at the front of the line if they are doing the buddy pass. It is a shortcut to allow parties of 2 or 3 if it's 2 parents and a child to go through the line if they need parties that take up one row, similar to how a single rider line would work. Overall a great ride!! A must do while in California Adventure!!!
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
One of our favorite rides here at the park. We always battle back in fourth to see woh can get the best score. Lines go pretty fast especially fast pass.
google avatar

Sebastian C.

Yelp
This attraction is fun for all ages! There's a reason why the wait time for this attraction is always long. If it's under 60 minutes, I would definitely get in line right away. Heck, even if the wait is 90 minutes, I'd wait. If it's over an hour and a half, I'd definitely get a fast pass and return later on during your stay. I prefer this over the Astroblasters attraction in the main Disneyland Park because I feel like this is much more accurate, however, this ride does have technical difficulties way more often. Huge disadvantage if you wear glasses because this ride is 3D and require you to wear those special glasses. All in all, if you have kids or you're on a date or with friends or whatever, and need a friendly competition, this is a must ride FOR ALL AGES.
google avatar

Yelp
Packed with fun! Way better experience than what I had at the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Disneyland. How was I supposed to know that there was an onboard joystick that spun our cruiser a full 360 degrees... and it won't stop. Our "space cruise kept spinning and spinning. I just had to close my eyes from getting sick. This experience could've been fun... 500 points at the end. Woa is me :( This ride, on the other hand, I did get to enjoy! Toy Story Midway Mania is part of the Paradise Pier area of Disney California Adventure. It felt like we were at the boardwalk and playing a classic boardwalk shooting game except it's a ride.. it's a shooting game... it's a shooting game that's a ride! Did anyone notice Mr Potato Head as you entered the queue? Can't miss! The character allows him to interact with the guests; he can even recognize members of the crowd! Were you called out? Don't forget to pick up your 3-D glasses prior to entering the carnival car. Ready, aim, shoot! There are a total of five games in all... just keep shooting but take note that some items are worth more points than others. Earn major points at some of the targets! Well, I didn't make it to Galactic Hero status with my 66,400 points but I had fun! I did make it to the 3rd Level and that makes me a Planetary Pilot! I felt like a winner except there was no giant stuffed bear to win. Review #0781

Yelp
One of my favorite rides of all time. Maybe I love it for the Toy Story theme, maybe I love it because it is an active ride, or maybe it is all thee above. It is all thee above! So a few pointers I have learned. They have a moving buddy line, kind of a single rider ride but different. If there is space in the car, they will fill with a single rider. So if you are going solo or a duo worth it. If single rider does not work for you, get a fast pass. I know if you go early or super late, you can get on the ride pretty quick. If you go during the day prepare for a long wait up to hour or two hours. The ride itself is a game with mini games in it. It's a good time as you can compete with people in your car. It is so much fun and makes it worth a trip to California Adventure.
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
Favorite ride in all of Disney California. Live this ride, the interaction and entertaining. I always try to beat the best car score but it's hard to accomplish--guess I'll have to ride it again--gladly. :)
google avatar

Angie M.

Yelp
This is a fun ride, that you rack up points for shooting at things. My arm hurt at the end of this ride, haha! I was on a serious mission to get some good points! I ended up with around 131,000 - probably not that great, but man I worked hard :) We happened to ride on this on National Mr Potato Head Day, which was Sunday, April 30th. I stopped in front of Mr Potato Head to take a picture of course, and he said, "This ladies hair is so famous, it needs sunglasses..." and then he cracked up for a while. I love that they occasionally personalize the messages for the person standing there. Its fun!
google avatar

Nadine C.

Yelp
I don't know how I learned about this ride at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, but it's one of those with a really long wait if you don't get there as soon as the park opens! It's a 3D ride with carnival games! Just sit in your car and it takes you to the different types of skills like dart shooting, ring toss, and ball throwing! If you have tennis elbow and are on the competitive side, maybe take some pain meds prior and wear your arm brace, then use a heat pack afterwards... haha! You'll be pulling on a trigger with some rest periods between screens... Why the long wait? There's No Fast Pass! Just go with friends and they will help you to pass the time. Check you score at the end of the ride and see how good you are compared to the person sitting next to you! Remember that it's just for fun!
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
SUPER FUN AND WORTH THE WAIT/ FASTPASS! The cart continuously spins while you try to beat your partner in this carnival game-themed ride! Instructions are self explanatory and I honestly could not stop smiling the entire ride. **this ride moves a lot and uses 3D imaging and effects, so make sure you're aware of that before you ride!** Get a fast pass for this ride and/or use the Disney play app with friends to pass time

Yelp
One of the least favorite lines to be in, if it weren't for Mr. Potato Head, it would be awful. But that being said, the line is always long because this ride is AWESOME! Friendly competition?? BRING IT!! This ride delivers! One of the best family friendly rides in California Adventure. You compete against your ride-mates as you coast along from range to range in shooting carnival ride 3D action. You know you want to win, you know it! So, maneuver that joystick and aim... win or lose, you will still have a great time. Don't forget to pose for the picture! Kid friendly, Adult approved. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Yelp
One of my favorite rides at Disneyland/California Adventure: Toy Story Midway Mania!!! The lines are usually pretty long; 35-60 minutes, but it is always constantly moving, which is nice. The ride is basically a game. You "play" the other players in your car, trying to get the most points through a series of different carnival games. The best part is that all these digital games are 3D. I like the incorporation of Toy story, which is one of my favorite Disney movies and the fact that this rid is so interactive. I'll be honest. I'm actually terrible at these games and always lose, but whatever!! It's still so fun!! Until 2019, when construction is finished, Toy story Midway Mania will be the only ride open on this side of the pier. Idk yet if this is good or bad. It's good I guess because less people make the trek over the bridge, but there is also less food around. No turkey legs, churros or ice cream :(

Yelp
By far my favorite ride at Disneyland/DCA. Yeah it's not an actual rollercoaster ride with drops or twists and turns but it's still super fun and totally worth the wait for me. It can range anywhere from 30-60 minutes but the line moves pretty quickly. We got a fast pass for this ride and then after that we waited in line again for about 40 minutes because I loved it so much. I'm super competitive so I always try to beat whoever I'm in the ride with. I'm a much bigger fan of this ride than the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters because I feel like you have a better idea of what you're actually aiming at and shooting (or maybe I'm just really bad at Astro Blasters...). It's fun for any age and is very interactive.

Yelp
Yet another really fun interactive ride the entire family can enjoy. Nothing scary here. Grab your 3D glasses and a seat and get ready to play. As you move along your car turns and stops in front of different screens. Each have a different Target game where you use the gun in your car to shoot at.

Yelp
Rootin tootin shootin! Toy Story Midway Mania is an interactive 4-D theme park attraction at Disney California Adventure. It is one of the most technologically sophisticated attractions developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, costing an estimated $80 million to design and build. Other than the Mr. Potato Head audio-animatronic entertaining the guests, the line for the ride itself is rather boring. In the ride itself, you wear 3D glasses and use a toy cannon to fire simulated projectiles at virtual targets by pulling on a ball that's attached to a string. You're competing with the person next to you. The best technique is probably similar to the "come hither" position. So curve up two fingers, and tug rapidly on the string with the ball towards you. There are five mini-games in this ride which include: Pie Throw Practice Booth (pie tossing game) Hamm & Eggs (egg throw game) Rex and Trixie's Dino Darts (dart throw game) Green Army Men Shoot Camp (plate breaking game) Buzz Lightyear's Flying Tossers (ring toss game) Woody's Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Gallery (suction cup shooting game) There are Toy Story characters including Woody, Hamm, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Rex that appear during the mini games. As you're playing the mini games, you will feel air blasts. For example, when you throw the darts at the balloons, you will feel bursts of air blasting in your face. The visual graphics are great but not oh my god this is so mindblowing kind of thing. The transitions going from game to game can be disorienting as you suddenly spin around in the vehicle of what seems like a bumpy track to the next mini game. For this matter, you might find yourself slamming to the side or to the person next to you. Your score is recorded by a display screen in your vehicle. Throughout the years, I feel like my score usually remains the same. I score way better in Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Overall, 4 stars. It's a wonderful interactive ride with great visual effects. This ride will leave your hand tired!

Yelp
Of all the times I have been to Disney California Adventure, I have never been on this nor entertained the idea to take this for a spin! I had no idea what it was about! Thank goodness I came with a friend who knew what fun this ride was and recommended we go! TIP: Don't look for a FASTPASS! Everyone must endure the wait!! Bring your patience as you will more than likely wait for quite a while to enjoy this attraction! It is a 3D ride. You will need to pick up your glasses as you get near the entrance point to the ride. This ride is suitable for just about everyone! This is such a cute Toy Story Shooting Arcade Game style of ride. I love the cannon and shooting the targets! You get to practice before things get serious! No, I'm joking about the serious part. It's all fun! In your car, there is a split screen so you can compare scores with your partner. Be sure to check out the high score as you are whisked out of the game area. I am amazed! I have gotten quite pathetic scores, but I sure have a lot of fun!! If you are a kid or a kid at heart, you will love this shoot 'em up ride!
