Excellent service. Jose Burgos is a hands on get it done Manager that serves Berkeley well. A fair and trustworthy boss that I saw employees loved to work for. A dedicated hardworking honest true professional that we are fortunate to have in our city. I will continue my support to this store because of Jose the man and the owners that trust him. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Toyota inspected my car when I brought it in for an oil change. The inspection recommended I do over 6,000 worth of work including quite obvious falsities, like replace a headlight (which works fine), the front and rear wiper blades, (which are working fine). And bigger ticket items: replace the timing belt cover for over $4,000 and the brake pads and rotors for over 800 dollars They were correct about the front brake pads but not the front rotors. My mechanic cleaned off the timing belt cover and will check it again when I do my next oil change. My own mechanic replaced the brake pads for 283.00 dollars, and that's all. Wow! If I hadn't double checked, I might have paid over $6,000. Always double check their recommendations.

My 2007 Prius has been serviced exclusively at Toyota of Berkeley since 2008, and I have always been satisfied with the work. My latest experience was about three weeks ago, when my catalytic converter was stolen—for the fourth time—just days before I was to go on vacation for a week. Toyota handled everything: the preliminary examination of the damage and estimation of repair and replacement costs; arranging for a rental vehicle for me; communicating and settling with my insurance agency; and making the repairs and performing other annual inspection and maintenance services, all the while texting me to keep me informed and in the loop. Everything was finished when I got home. Toyota even absorbed the overrun rental car charges! I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work done on my vehicle or more grateful to Ray Prasad, who usually oversees work done on my car, and Kent Muon, who substituted for Ray while Ray was also on vacation. As usual and as always, I am a happy, satisfied customer! Thank you, Toyota of Berkeley! Jeannette Favors

Google
Great service as always. I bought this car from Berkeley Toyota and would not take it anywhere else for service. I trust their work. •Good, timely communication •Clear explanation of the work needed. •Did the required maintenance; didn’t add anything extra.

Google
I found the 2019 Toyota Corolla at the Toyota of Berkeley used car dealership. I called and spoke to Brandon first about the availability of the car, then drove down to take a test drive. Manager Con and Brandon were both very helpful and thorough as was their finance manager Melissa. I ended up leaving the car a few days till pickup and they detailed the car. It was sparkling clean. I appreciate their attention to detail, they listened, and they provided excellent customer service. Very satisfied.

Google
好的,我帮你把这段话翻译成一封流畅、正式的英文投诉信风格: ⸻ I am a Toyota owner, and today I visited your dealership at 2400 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94704 to look at cars. I was particularly interested in the new 4Runner. During my visit, I politely asked a female front desk staff member if I could use the restroom. To my great disappointment, she not only refused but did so with a very poor attitude. I find it shocking and disheartening that Toyota has fallen to this level of customer service. From common sense and basic courtesy, any Toyota dealership should treat customers with respect and friendliness. Even if there are legitimate reasons (for example: the restroom is for employees only, or due to safety/insurance restrictions), it should still be communicated politely—for instance: “I’m sorry, our restroom is not available for public use, but there is a public restroom nearby.” That would have been completely understandable and would not have made me feel so humiliated. Therefore, the issue here is not simply about whether I could use the restroom, but whether I was treated with respect. As both a Toyota owner and a potential future customer, I have every reason to expect a more courteous attitude. A dealership represents the image of the Toyota brand. What hurt me most was that even after I emphasized that I am already a Toyota owner, the staff member still responded in such an unfriendly and dismissive manner. This deeply hurt my feelings as a Toyota customer and has seriously impacted my willingness to purchase another Toyota vehicle in the future. I sincerely believe that other brands’ dealerships would not treat their customers this way. This was truly a very unpleasant and disappointing experience.

Google
This is a well established service department. Great service. Located in the heart of Berkeley. If you are staying for the service work there is a small waiting room and lots of places well within walking distance.

Google
Jason Clark, Service Manager, was one of the main reasons I stayed with Toyota - Paula P,, manager then, was the other. Jason has faithfully served me with my car needs for over twenty years or more. He takes the time to let me understand my cars needs so I can take the best course of action. He had unwaveringly helped me find best solutions and the most timely and economic choices when I needed that. I 100 percent trust his opinion. In a world of rush, rush and shallow listening Jason goes above and beyond in not rushing and with deep listening! I am happy with my service to my cars and Jason showing up the way he does is one of the reasons, I really love my cars. His support is one of the BIG reasons that I’m going to be buying a new Prius one or two years from now! THANK YOU, JASON AND THANK YOU TOYOTA!

Yelp
Top notch!! The team at Toyota of Berkeley are great, efficient and a pleasure to work with. Alexis, Lauren and the whole team made the entire experience a fast and personable one. I would highly recommend for you next purchase.

Yelp
The service department here is outstanding. I bought my Tacoma TRD Off road truck here in 2019. Taken it in for regular service, and I have to say, these guys are excellent. Always friendly, super knowledgeable, professional, and they make you happy you bought your vehicle from Toyota. I want to do a special shout-out to Vincent Lee who usually helps me. He has helped me learn a lot about my vehicle too. Great place to get your Toyota serviced even if you didn't buy it here.

Yelp
This was my first time at Berkeley Toyota. I usually dread going to get servicing done for my vehicle, but Martin Lee, my technical liaison, made the process quick and easy. He was polite, professional, and answered all of my questions. He even went the extra mile to check on some information for me. I received my vehicle back at the time he said it would be ready. I have no hesitation in taking my vehicle there again and highly recommend the service department at Toyota of Berkeley, especially Martin Lee.

Yelp
Alexis and Simon were extremely helpful. They have great customer service and worked with us to get the best deal for our GR86. Alexis accompanied us on our test drive up Grizzly Peak. She went above and beyond in making the experience for me and my partner memorable. Simon was thorough in breaking down the different package options for our purchase and was really patient. It made us feel more confident and reassured with our purchase especially after getting offered the complementary 7-year environmental damage coverage for our new car. This dealership really cares for its customers and I highly recommend them if you are looking to purchase a Toyota!

Yelp
$3,997 for a 60k maintenance on a Highlander. Feels like we got completely ripped off. The cost appears to be 3x to 4x what people online say they pay for this service. And they are unable to produce a complete receipt showing why the cost was in excess of the already obscene $3,300 quote when the car was dropped off. Did the dealer blatantly take advantage of my wife? Sure feels like it. We wont be back to purchase or service cars.

Barbara L.

Yelp
Customer service...very cold and impersonal. A very frantic feeling on a Saturday- short handed? I advise having repair service people being a little more personable.

Sta M.

Yelp
I had a minor issue that Jason fixed for me so quickly, and with a smile! He could have actually inflated the issue, and tried to sell me something unnecessary, but he didn't...and I'm truly grateful. I will definitely bring Mom's Rav 4 back to him for future service.

Yelp
Every time I bring my car in, they always seem to tell me my car is due for some type of point inspection test that will cost $500+ & I'm swindled every time even tho I explain I work from home & don't drive the car much at all. The last straw was using scare tactic to tell me that my car is leaking oil & needed repair. "Oil is leaking everywhere! We need to do the repair & it will cost $3,200 but because you're a long time customer we'll only charge you $2,800." I took my car to a retired mechanic that my brother trusted for a second opinion & he found NO OIL LEAKS AT ALL! Good bye Berkeley Toyota.

Andrea M.

Yelp
I had a conversation with Jason, the service manager. He was very patient and understanding and he was considerate of my needs and my concerns. Having been a Toyota customer for over 20+ years, it's really wonderful to know that caring individuals still exist in today's society.

Gerald G.

Yelp
Girlfriend went in for her one of three of her oil change and rotations, they managed to charge $600 in "repairs" also they never told her when her car was actually finished so she waited an extra 3 hours with a total of 6 hours in the dealership because nobody had cared to inform that her car was ready. I work with cars and know sometimes they make you push for repairs for commission. That's very shady that you guys would show a list of "problems" with huge bills knowing full well they're just to squeeze more money, if I remember correctly it was like $150 to change license plate bulb. Thanks for the legitimate scam business in this economy

Yelp
Shout out to service manager Martin Lee and his crew for diagnosing and swiftly fixing loose tire lug nuts issue we had. This had caused such alarm when we were driving on the freeway and could have ended up terribly. Thankfully we had made it in time to the nearest Toyota - in Berkeley to get it checked out. They were highly competent, friendly and accomodating.

Dale S.

Yelp
We were very disappointed in the service department. First, they offered to do an unnecessary "diagnosis" for $600-700, as we only needed a 5,000 mile regular service appointment. Next, they tried to convince us we needed a $5-6000 repair for "rodent damage" to our HVAC system. We called our regular trusted (home state) mechanic who assured us they would have had to remove the dashboard to see any rodent damage in the system and agreed it sounded like a scam. They asked if we smelled any rodent pee when we used the heat or A/C and we said no. Finally, as a last ditch attempt, while we paid the bill , they said the mechanic had "smelled rodent pee" in our system. Oh, and they tried the same stunt with our son a few years ago. Do not trust this Toyota Service Department!

Yelp
Just made my very first car purchase, the tranaction was pleasant throughout and I couldn't be happier. Customer service was on the spot and Alexis was very attentitive and patient with my questions. I would definately recommend this dealership :)

Yelp
Toyota of Berkeley absolutely took care of my needs. I lost my car key and they helped me out and programmed a new one in a timely manner with a decent price. I have to do a shout out to my man Kent Muon! He absolutely made the experience enjoyable and fun! He is an excellent professional with a lighthearted spirit! Promote ahead of peers! I'll be back because of Kent! He really put a face to the business.

Yelp
The people that work at Sales dept are shady. They shoved LuxCare (paint wax) and charged me close to $1,000. They never mentioned this to me until I got home and I was carefully reading the contract. Khanh (Sales Manager) was trying to manipulate me by asking me to remove this negative review to cover up for his lie by giving me an cheap extended maintenance plan but the fact that they said that LuxCare is mandatory on all new cars is a flat out lie because on the actual contract LuxCare is all optional. I don't recommend you buy a car from this dealership. Our experience was very unpleasant here. They also would not give me the trunk mat only after I demand it multiple times. It's a brand new car for God's sake. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Please try Toyota of Walnut Creek for your next purchase as staff there are much more friendly and much more honest. Toyota of Berkeley has slowly been going down hill. It's not like what it used to be 10 years ago. I think this dealership was sold to a company and is no longer a family owned business as they claim. I will never go back to this dealership.

Beko R.

Yelp
We just purchased a car from Toyota of Berkeley, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received there. Imad, Simon, the whole team - they were thoughtful, timely, and very helpful working through everything.

Yelp
Today I made a stupid mistake--had the keys to my Toyota on a key ring in my left side pants pocket, and while I was driving the whole set of keys fell out and wedged down on the driver's door side. I could see and feel them but not get them out. So I made the further mistake of pushing the seat back, and somehow--it was a freak accident--the whole ring of keys fell down a little crack into the deeper underside beneath the floor. I couldn't get them out. Pulled into Toyota of Berkeley and in a minute a bunch of workers dropped what they were doing to extricate my keys. They were funny and kind and good-humored, and it took a little work and time, more than you might think, but they didn't charge me. It was just plain great customer service. Thank you, Toyota of Berkeley!

Yelp
If you live in the East Bay, take your Toyota here. I use to take my truck to another dealership that's closer to me but the last time I was there I had an bad experience. Fast forward to last week, I decided to bring my truck to a new Toyota Dealership other than the one use to go and was greeted by a serviced person name Tuyen Ta. (I think that's his name) I expressed to Tuyen about the problem I'm having with my truck and that I just recently had a misdiagnosis at a different location and how they took my money without fixing anything at all. I was upset and irate but Tuyen continued to remain calm and that he'll have one of his highly experienced tech work on my truck. He even offered me a ride back home but instead he ended up giving me a rental...something that the other dealership never did for. The issue with my truck was found and fixed in timely manner. Overall, I'm happy and very pleased by the work that's done by Tuyen and his crew. Very knowledgeable and reliable mechanics here at this dealership. Thanks again Tuyen and Toyota of Berkeley Kokeo. Yelp
If you're looking for a great car service experience, I 100% recommend Kent at Toyota of Berkeley! Kent is the best service advisor I've ever worked with. From start to finish, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'm not the biggest motorhead, so he took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand. Kent also made sure that I was comfortable with the services before proceeding. I was also very impressed with his attention to detail. He went over the service report with me line by line, and he explained what each item meant and why it was necessary. Kent made sure that I understood the cost of each service before I agreed to it. Overall, I felt ecstatic after my car service experience at Toyota of Berkeley knowing I was putting my car in the best hands in the area. Kent made the process easy and stress-free, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy service advisor. Thank you so much for your services, Toyota of Berkeley! Will definitely be back in your shop for my next service!

Divya S.

Yelp
Alexis was AMAZING!! I usually hate going to dealerships because of how I'm treated as a brown woman! My experience with Alexis and Simon was a complete 180 from my usually dismal experiences! Alexis was knowledgeable, super helpful and helped me lease the perfect car at a a very reasonable rate! All in all a great experience at this dealership!

Jiacheng L.

Yelp
Fast and professional, but extremely expensive. Brought in the truck for 60K, and they were done in an hour and half. The service is good, but an hour and half of labor cost me nearly $2000? And that's on top of 900+ worth of parts. The spark plugs alone were 145 total and around $700 after labor, which is staggering. While the service was friendly, efficient, and well executed, the daunting price means I cannot imagine going back again.

Yelp
Amazing people here in the garage. I was replacing the rear tire on my e-scooter and needed to get my tire seated. Living next to this garage, I came here on the off chance that they would help me out. A guy named Chase (? sorry if I heard your name wrong) was eager to help as soon as I stepped into the garage. Not only was he able to seat the tire for free, but he was extremely accommodating and kind for a service that the garage doesn't even provide.

Richard R.

Yelp
Our family van was due for a check up and Kent Muon was able to accommodate us right away! He made an appointment for us the same day we called and was able to get our van back quickly. Kent was very helpful and very easy to work with. I highly recommend using Toyota of Berkeley!

Joshua K.

Yelp
Never got back to me despite repeated calls. So much for trying to purchase a $60,000 car. This is why car buy will be done completely online over the next few years. No need for unresponsive salespeople.

Yelp
They broke the hinge and left it on the floor. I've been to this service center before. They've driven me home and picked me up before, because the service would take a couple hours...but not today. Only after I drove away did I realize...they broke the hinge of the glove compartment. How do I know? BECAUSE THEY LEFT IT ON THE FLOOR. They didn't even bother to put it back.

Yelp
I went in to make sure my car was road worthy for my trip to see my parents for the holiday. I left feeling confident that my car was good to go and also, they gave me two for one on windshield wipers because it was rainy and it was the holidays. Thank you, Jason, and all for bringing much needed holiday cheer and care into my day. I will pay it forward! (And, I will most certainly be coming back!)

Yelp
Rey to the rescue and Berkeley toyota. A confounding and stupid problem with my 2010 Prius 2 today, December 28. My key for the car slipped out of my hand ans seemingly vanished within the car itself and failed to show even after searching with my hand. My phone light and a flashlight all failed too. Damn! My car was now stuck being totally vulnerable to anyone who opened the door. I was feeling super vulnerable I called Berkeley Toyota and they didn't treat me like the idiot I felt like and even with no real solution, they were willing to give it a try, and went to work at it right away. Amazingly they found it tucked inside the fap between the dash and the steering wheel in a place I could not reach or search. Rey and Alex were heroes and today so too Berkeley Toyota!!

Yelp
Everyone knows dealership service centers have to make money. I appreciate that they were willing to itemize and accommodate my request to perform the bare minimum 30k service, which brought the price to an affordable range. Maybe when I'm not a student and can afford to pay a little more for the convenience I'll be happy to look at the rest of the optional services they offered, but I'm just grateful that they gave me a reasonable price today so I can get back to driving safely in the Bay.

Zichong L.

Yelp
I recently purchased a brand-new Rav4 from TOYOTA of Berkeley just last week, and the entire experience was truly exceptional. From the moment I submitted my online query, they responded promptly but without any pressure. I was warmly welcomed by the Sales Director, Khanh, who generously offered me a reasonable discount. During my visit, the salesperson (whose name I regrettably forgot) took me for a test drive, expertly addressed all my inquiries, and efficiently prepared my new vehicle. Furthermore, I had the pleasure of working with the Finance Manager, Lauren Vazquez. Lauren's professionalism, patience, clear communication, extensive knowledge, and overall politeness greatly impressed me. She meticulously handled all the necessary paperwork and introduced the service packages in a well-organized manner. Lauren even graciously assisted me in adjusting my service package a few days later, which demonstrated her exceptional customer service. My experience with TOYOTA of Berkeley has been overwhelmingly positive, and it's worth noting that I also purchased my Corolla from this dealership a decade ago. With such outstanding service, I eagerly anticipate continuing to do business with them in the years to come.

Yelp
Catalytic Converter got stolen. The people were so nice and understanding even with complications (on my end). Thank you x 10000000

Yelp
Today Toyota of Berkeley tried to charge me $500 to replace a taillight cover. The story: I came in to fix the cover and to get a second key fob. First they told me that they had to replace the whole taillight assembly, not just that piece. Probably bs, since they had to order the but pretty standard car repair bs. They called me about 1.5 hours later. The key was done, but because they didn't have the part. The cost would be $1,019. Awfully steep, but they told me the taillight was "prepaid." I went back in. At that point they told me that would be an additional $125 charge for the labor of installing the taillight (30 minutes at $250 per hour). At that point I said no, cancel the taillight (I'll get it done elsewhere). They redid the bill, it was $629. Still a lot, but I was happy for the reduction. But if I'd gone along, I would have paid $1,134 ($1,019 +$125). They would have, in effect, charged me $500 to put in the taillight! Later for them.

Yelp
We went in late Sunday to test drive a car and the arrogance we were met with was kind of mind boggling. I know these Toyotas may be in high demand, but meeting customers with that kind of arrogance and dismissiveness was a bit of a shock to the system. Definitely will not be going back.

T F.

Yelp
Martin Lee and Jonathan Oshiro are the BEST!!!! They helped me figure out where my keys were when I thought I lost them. I was using my backup key and coming there to get a replacement. I thought I lost the original but Jonathan plugged in a machine that could see they were still there. They had fallen into one of the many bags I had in the trunk. They spent over 25 minutes trying to help and I'm forever grateful. Great service and great guys!!!!

Yelp
The berkeley toyota service center had over-torqued 2 lug nuts on my front left wheel during a routine tire rotation service. This was noticed a few years later, when I went to get my tires replaced. When I realized there was a issue, I brought it back to the service center and asked for the issue to be resolved. I explained that since it was from the service center's actions, that I would like to not have to pay for the lug nuts to be fixed. When they contacted me back, I was told the nuts had been removed and asked if I wanted to pay to replace them (they had been rounded, likely as a result of attempts to remove them). I was also told there would be a half off ($125) diagnostic charge for their time. This was extremely frustrating, since the issue was a direct result of the service center improperly tightening the lug nuts in the first place. In conclusion, the Berkeley toyota service does not stand by their technicians work or make things right if mistakes are made.

Gabriel M.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Toyota of Berkeley and more specifically Martin Lee, Service Advisor. We were visiting the area over the weekend and had a service issue that needed immediate, same-day attention. I was able to secure an early morning appointment but I arrived early soon after they opened. Martin and his team took me early, after hearing my urgent needed he expedited the service with a great sense of urgency, extremely customer focused, and beyond reasonable with the fees. I highly recommend servicing your Toyota at the Berkeley dealership. Make sure to ask for Martin Lee.

Yelp
Camry's engine light came on, went in same day to Toyota @ Berkeley where Kent Muon took in my car and got it back to normal, no light and everything, within the same day! Awesome customer experience, and I will definitely be returning in the future for future mishaps.

Ty W.

Yelp
Incredibly kind and diligent staff. Going above and beyond to foster and maintain customer relationships. They went out of their way to ensure I had a positive service experience, I can't recommend enough.

Yelp
I went into Berkeley Toyota last week to look at a car that I had previously made an appointment with Lauren to see. Lauren was very nice, she showed me the car and right away, I knew this was the car for me. Lauren was professional and very knowledgeable. She made sure that I got what I was looking for. The process was very quick. I was in and out with my brand new car within 45 minutes. Lauren V. is the one to see! Thanks Lauren, for your outstanding service

Yelp
I'm a committed Toyota customer so, unfortuately, I've done business with Berkeley Toyota for decades. The organization has been miserable to work with the whole time. From sales to service the employees have a rotten attitude whether in Berkeley or Albany. It's so pervasive and consistent over time amd location that it must emanate from the owners. I've had service notices and recommendations for things I'd already had done just weeks before. It was in their system, but the service rep "recommended" the service anyhow. Parts department grudging to look up for parts. Surly service technicians. Sales reps getting me to come in to see them under false pretenses. I continue to deal with them because they are the only convenient Toyota dealer for me. But I limit interactions as much as possible. Even the Toyoto.com site doesn't list them as a dealer when showing the dealers where parts are available in the Bay. Wonder why?

Brian B.

Yelp
Very Happy with my experience with parts and Service Dept. Kent Muon got my truck in and out in a fast timely matter. Kent made sure he kept me updated on everything going on with my 4runner. Kent's Customer service was 11/10. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Kent!! I 100% recommend this dealership for anything you need done on your car.

Nais R.

Yelp
Toyota of Berkeley sold me my Corolla Hybrid the beginning of 2022. The sales person was beyond helpful in the set up process for Apple CarPlay and all the safety features. Since then they have serviced the car and done an excellent and prompt job. The service manager, Jason, really helped me out when there was confusion over my wheel and hubcap at a tire store, and I needed a replacement. I very much appreciate his kindness and the calm and clear explanations I received. In all, I'm so pleased with the care my car has received that I plan to extend my service contract going forward.

Yelp
Been going for routine service and some repairs for the last 4 years - always helpful and flexible with the service options. They helped me install an interior rearview mirror part without charging for it the other day. Very easy to schedule and get info over the phone.

M T.

Yelp
I needed major service on my car and was really struggling to decide how to get it done. I spoke with Jason (the manager of the service at Toyota of Berkeley) and like the professional that he is, he solved everything. He was able to break things down into what is needed and what is not urgent, such as to optimize our cost savings. He also did so incredibly peacefully and in a very pleasent manner. Just the kind of service your family member would give you. And this is not the first time he has done so. I probably should have written this review a long time ago but at least i am doing it now. if you need to good service that is professional, kind and respectful, always come here.

Serina L.

Yelp
I have been entrusting my Prius to Toyota of Berkeley for service for many years, and I have consistently been impressed by the exceptional quality of their work. Kent, my dedicated service advisor, has always been easy to work with, knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient. He takes the time to understand my needs and concerns, and always makes sure that my car is serviced to the highest standards. The technicians at Toyota of Berkeley are also highly skilled and experienced, and they always complete the work in a timely and professional manner. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Toyota of Berkeley to anyone in search of reliable and cost-effective car maintenance. Thank you Toyota of Berkeley for your services, especially Kent, for taking such great car of my car all these years!

Danica B.

Yelp
I'm writing this review months after receiving a regular maintenance service. The service itself was over what I was expecting for an oil change / general tune-up. I received a text after I left saying, "Hey Danica, your service is all done! My technician did find your rear brakes measuring a bit low at 2mm! Replacing the the rear brakes would be an additional $860.00+tax." I declined over text and when I picked up my car the brakes were pushed on me again. The guy, don't remember his name, acted worried for my safety and told me if I didn't replace VERY SOON it could be an even costlier replacement. I asked how many miles he thought I'd be ok to drive, since I don't drive a lot, and he said, "just don't go far!" In a foreboding tone. Months later, I take it to Montclair Auto Tech to get the brakes replaced, and they take a look and tell me the brake pads are actually at 4mm. New ones start around 5mm. No need at all for replacement. Just wanted to warn others of this scam!

Bryan L.

Yelp
Me and my family had a positive experience with Lauren Vazquez at Toyota of Berkeley. Lauren provided exceptional service, demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness throughout the process. Her knowledge and commitment to customer satisfaction undoubtedly contribute to the dealership's reputation for excellent service. Will definitely come back next time we are on the market for a new or preowned vehicle.

Yelp
Don't trust their service center. They've gotten a lot worse in the last few years about up selling people on unnecessary repairs. I brought my 10 year old Prius in for an oil change, and they initially tried to upsell me on an additional $1500 in unnecessary maintenance work before inspecting the car. After inspecting the car, they said I had rodent bite marks on the fan for the a/c system, and they wanted to spend $8500 disassembling the dash to inspect all the wiring and a/c fan components. They suggested I try to bill my insurance for this work. There's nothing malfunctioning with the a/c system, the fan, the wiring, or the electrical system in my car, and having this work done just to "check it" would be absolutely absurd. The repair and labor cost is more than the value of the car. I'm not sure if my insurance actually covers this type of repair, but if they did, they would probably declare the car totaled because of the high repair cost. Insurance claims are not free; they raise your rates for years afterwards.

Yelp
I have been a customer of Toyota Berkeley for 20+ years. I have bought and serviced 2 Prius through them. I wanted to upgrade to new Prius w Backup Camera, App,e Play, etc. while I am still able to understand all the new technology. Hard to find the 2023 or 2024 Prius to test drive, did one the visibility was not to my liking at all. Went to Berkeley Toyota and met this great salesman- Imad Bouraine. After explaining my concerns, he suggested a Corolla Hybrid.I did not want to even look BUT HE WAS RIGHT. It had just what I wanted for much less$$. So easy to work with. I really appreciated is responses and bought my new car there. Thank You again Berkeley Toyota.

Yelp
I have a very old Toyota that needed major attention and these guys were "The Bomb". No other dealership would ever help me but these folks were NASCAR skilled. Everyone there went out of their way to help me. I am so grateful for this place. There should be more stars for this review. Please have your car repaired at Toyota Of Berkeley.

Yelp
Toyota of Berkeley is my go-to location for all repairs and services! Audrey Johnson has been super helpful as I've had to deal with a recall (and kept having to reschedule the repair). She was super responsive over email and the phone, and very understanding afterward as well - when I had to pick up the car a day late. The service team at the location is also super helpful. As a new car owner, it's really great to have a reliable team with great communication.
