"Tracey’s is our go-to Belizean spot when we’re in the mood for tender oxtails. It’s a small space on Western Avenue a few blocks west of USC, where the guy working behind the counter greets every customer like they're a regular. We usually order a half-and-half plate with stewed beef and rich braised oxtail, which ensures a maximum amount of meaty gravy to spread over the accompanying rice and beans. Ignore the hours listed online—Tracey’s is the kind of place that closes up after they sell out (which can happen as early as 4pm on Sundays). So be sure to call ahead and ask what they have available before making the journey." - Nikko Duren

Second time back. Great food and great service! I love supporting small family business and let me tell you. This one is definitely worth supporting! The tacos are a very nice size and well worth the cost of them. The corn tortillas are homemade and you get each taco for only $2.50. What a tasty deal! I love the homemade salsa too. Not too spicy but full of flavor. I have not tried the fajitas yet but I look forward to coming back and trying those next. Especially after reading others good reviews on them. I did try the popusas on my first visit and they were awesome. I would also like to add that the place is very clean. You can see right into the kitchen and it looks neatly organized as well. I also used their facilities while here and that’s pretty clean too! I’ll be back! Thank you Tracey’s Fajitas for yummy food and a clean restaurant!

This time we waited over 30 minutes for nachos and stewed beef. The last time I ordered takeout from here, the door dash driver waited 45 minutes and had to leave. I don't believe my nachos were worth $15. Unfortunately, this will be our last time at Tracey's..

Google
What a great place! My brother recommended, but he always has it delivered. We ate in. We were the only ones there & got friendly personal attention. Chicken fajitas were tasty & filling. Bacon wrapped shrimp really good. Ice tea brewed fresh

Google
My parents and I ordered mixed fajitas to go. The meat was very well cooked and seasoned. Everything came together very nicely and tasted great with appropriate portion sizes. It took an average time to get the ordered food and the atmosphere was comfortable. They had music along with a television playing which created just noise in the end. Over all, it's a very nice little restaurant that we'd return to again.

Google
Super friendly staff! Nice clean restaurant and bathroom. Chips, salsa, & charro beans serves with meal. Not a fun of paying a 4% "convenient" fee for using a card to pay. ...at least the service is stellar.

Google
Just ordered for the first time and it was to-go. It was delicious 😋 the Tracey #2 (chicken covered in veggie sauce and cheese) was tender and tasty. The beans were excellent as well. We also got the enchiladas covered in mole sauce which was just right, not an overpowering flavor. Long story short, we will be ordering from here again

Google
They’ve got phenomenal fajitas and tortillas. We love their beef fajitas. And their guacamole is really good too. My husband particularly loves their salsa and I think their pico is very fresh. They probably do a ton of takeout because the inside isn’t all that great for ambiance, but this food is good! It seems to be family run, so it’s also great to be supporting a local small business!

Went there 2 weekends ago with my family. When we got there, we were the ONLY people in the restaurant... The only waiter took forever to come to us to take our drink order. We finally got our order taken. Keep in mind we are still the only people in the place. Took our food over 40 minutes to come out. The waiter was very confused and got my order wrong. Took him extremely long to bring things out we asked for and kept forgetting items too. So annoying. He probably could have used some help. I used to enjoy this place so much! The prices have gone up abut the customer service and taste of the food has gone down. Very disappointing bc I was so excited to eat here after not coming for so long. I won't be back.

Yelp
This was my favorite neighborhood Mexican takeout food. It was always freshly homemade from the Family. As a frequent customer I appreciated the quality of the food. I hate that they're closed now :-( and hopefully find a new location. This is to the owners if you decide to re-open, please notify your customers on Yelp we'll be lined up waiting.

Yelp
Family owned and operated gem in Katy. Hands down best fajitas and enchiladas in the area including the big names. Owners are so sweet and you cant help but root for them. Our absolute go-to family meal location for casual week nights. Keep it going Tracey and family!

Yelp
First time trying Tracey's Fajitas. Honestly, this felt like I was invited in his home for a home cooked meal prepared with love and care. Chips and salsa were fresh, served with charro beans. We ordered the mixed beef and chicken fajitas, served with fresh, not previously prepared guacamole. Fresh flour tortillas, he gave us a sample of charro beans & tortillas prepared without lard, for people that don't eat pork. They were tasty as well. Beef and chicken had awesome flavor, definitely marinated for hours or overnight. Tender, flavorful and the chicken was not dry, cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend this place. They do catering as well and will use them and refer them to my friends, clients and family. Thank you, see you soon.

Yelp
I can't believe that I've not reviewed Tracey's Fajita before! My family has been eating there for years and the food is always extremely fresh and full of flavor. The service is top rated with a personal touch each time that we go. The inside is everything that you would hope for from a family owned true to detail and very welcoming.

Angela J.

Yelp
We love Tracey's! They are our favorite to-go meal. We call in our order and pick up at the drive through. We order fajitas for 2 and share across 2 adults and 2 kids. The chips are fresh. Salsa is flavorful and spicy. I love dipping the chips in the charro bean dip. Both kids eat the fajita meat with tortillas. My husband I and pile on the onions, peppers, pico, and guacamole. All fresh and flavorful! Tracy Fajita night = happy meal time.

Huyen P.

Yelp
We tried this mom and pop restaurant for the first time tonight. I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised. They served tortilla chips with red salsa and charro beans. I've never had tortilla chips with charro beans before, but it turned out to be a big favorite for my family. The onions in the fajita dish were so sweet and delicious. The beef quesadillas were huge. My family enjoyed everything about our meal.

Cheryl L.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from them, and it was ready in ~10 minutes! Got the veggie enchiladas and chicken quesadillas. Both portions were enormous, and more than filling. They also provide chips and salsa -- the salsa was incredible! Would highly recommend this spot

Rebekah M.

Yelp
A friend recommended, and Tracey's lived up to the hype. Usually I will have something that I leave on my plate because it isn't as good, but not here. Everything tasted great! My favorite though was the cheese enchiladas. So yummy!

Bob S.

Yelp
Ordered Beef Fajitas for two, a Cheese Enchilada plate, a side of Guacamole, a side of Pico deGallo, and 2 pieces of Tres Leches for desert. The fajitas were VERY VERY GOOD! Most places over salt their fajitas... not here! Excellent flavor and the meat was pretty tender! Also, the portions were excellent. We had about 6 pieces of meat left over (good enough for one small taco) the next day. The tortillas they sent were too big! Instead of 3 fajita tacos, we each had one giant beef fajita burrito instead. It's not exactly how I wanted to eat my fajitas. Opting to find the silver lining we figured "Hey, at least they sent tortillas of some kind" (because it's happen before where the food shows up and the restaurant sent everything except the tortillas). The cheese enchilada plate left alot to be desired. We shared the plate: I ate about a third of my enchilada; my cousin ate half of his... neither of us finished an entire enchilada. It's not that the enchiladas were bad, because they weren't. They were just... bland. I love to cook and love to eat... but Im still trying to figure out the type of cheese mrlted on top of the enchiladas. It looks like cheese of some kind, but it was see- through...which is weird right? Their cheese enchiladas would be PERFECT for little kids or for someone who is boring in their eating...LOL...... they're not spicy at all, very safe for the tongue and tummy....but I would never order their cheese enchiladas again. Now, let's talk about the Tres Leches Cake. I was immediately (visually) disappointed with the Tres Leches because the slices looked like a regular 2- layer cake slice with some sort of whip type icing with colorful sprinkles. I saw no pooled milk at the bottom of the container letting me know the cake would be soggy with a yummy blend of 3 milks. After taking a few bites, as I suspected, the cake was relatively dry. It tasted good, but dry-ish. Yes, there was a little wetness to the cake, but it was not your traditional Tres Leches. I ate a third of my cake slice; my cousin ate one bite (the tip) and didn't eat the rest. Me personally, I will not order the Tres Leches ever again. It would have been awesome if it had been a sheet cake, had been soggy with milk, and made with real whip cream instead of whatever that whip topping was....and no sprinkles! I know it sounds weird, but the icing was wet and oddly dry at the same time. The side of Guacamole was VERY GOOD! The thing I loved most (besides the taste) was it was like 95% avocados with the rest of it being tomatoes/onions/spices. Also, it was very fresh tasting and didn't taste like they squeezed a whole lemon in it (to keep it from turning brown). The side of Pico deGallo was also VERY GOOD! In my opinion it could've used more onions, more jalapenos, and cilantro... but don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! Overall, the beef fajitas and sides were an A+ The cheese enchilada plate was a C- The Tres Leches was a flat out D I will order Tracey Fajitas again... Next time I'll order the flan.

Yelp
Sweet staff, attentive service, a real desire to make you happy (a star for each!!) but we found the food just really basic. It was ok/good but just not something something to make us excited to come back and have again.

Danny C.

Yelp
I walked in here. It's a Tuesday night. I'm with Chimgawa (my son), and it's dead in here. We're the only ones here. Out comes the salsa & chips! Yay! Salsa has got some zing. My kid, aka dipstick, decides to ask the guy if he's got anything hotter. And wa la. We now have a hot version in front of us. Hint...don't ask for spicy or say "we like really spicy!" Unless you're ready. Dipstick pretends he's ok but I know his tolerance is not more than I and my face is going to peel off. With the salsa are some charro beans! Yummy so far! Fajitas on the way!! Oy vey! And Aye Caramba! Tortillas handmade & fresh! I usually don't eat guacamole but I actually like this. It's a healthy portion for two. No way we're finishing this. Oh my gosh! Ya! I like it here! Good stuff! Great price too! Really yummy!

Kari M.

Yelp
Yep! First-timers tonight. Beef Fajitas, charro beans, guac, mashed refried beans, tortillas. ALL HOMEMADE, ALL AWESOME! We you.

Peter C.

Yelp
In search of a new place for fajitas we came across this little new restaurant it still has a cloth banner out front Tracys fajitas. It is a SalvadorIan restaurant run by a gracious family, small space in a strip mall with small tables but very hospitable and friendly attentive staff. To start, the green salsa is excellent, medium spice with superb flavor and texture, i loved it. We chose the beef fajitas for two. Came with ample fajitas, rice, beans and plenty of guacamole and pico. Tortillas appear to be pre made. Iced tea of good quality and only $1.95! Overall the food is of great value and supporting a family business are two wonderful reasons to pay a visit. Bon apatite! The owner/cook and her son will assuredly take care that you are satisfied and leave happy.

Lizzie H.

Yelp
This place was great! I hope they get more business. Service was really good. The food is authentic and has the homemade feel. Both salsas are delicious. Not too spicy and lots of flavor. I got the mixed quesadillas. I loved the tortillas that they used. Everything was really fresh and made to order. The guacamole was excellent. The prices are a little high in my opinion but you could definitely share plates.

Anna Lisa G.

Yelp
The fajitas here are delicious!! The tortillas are made from scratch here and are a guilty pleasure. The corn tortillas here are fabulous as well...thick and steamy and homemade. I have never had anything bad at this place and the fajitas are seriously some of the best in town. You won't be sorry if you try them!

Jena P.

Yelp
Stopped in today for lunch and ordered nacho supreme with chicken. I needed to make a few modifications and they were more than willing to accommodate. Customer Service was great and my food was amazing ! They have the best salsa and pico I've ever had. Everything is so fresh I can taste all the flavors.

Jessica G.

Yelp
This place is one of Katy's best kept secrets. The fajitas are divine.. everything from the fresh tortillas to salsa really sets it apart from any other place in town. Love them, definitely give them a try. Did I mention they have a drive-thru? Perfect for an easy dinner.

Matthew C.

Yelp
First time eating here and the food is spectacular! Quite the Family atmosphere with quick service. A great local spot to enjoy some authentic food!

Dinora G.

Yelp
Good Mexican food. They also have a Salvadoreño/Guatemalteco menu. I would definitely come back.

Cd G.

Yelp
Ordered a fajita family pack for 8-10. I was worried it wouldn't feed everyone when they told me it was only 20 tortillas worth. The gentleman who helped me threw in some more tortillas which was extremely kind. I was picturing the small, fajita tortillas but these are burrito size! We had more than enough food for our group of 7 - which included 4 teenagers, 1 college student, and 2 adults - all big eaters. And the food was ALL delicious - 5 stars all around!

R A.

Yelp
Girlfriend and I got take out recently. Everything was good. Definitely coming back. Understandable that so many other people give five star rating!

Randie L.

Yelp
I cannot stop thinking about the yucca y chicharron plate. It's a simple plate but the flavors really pop. The vegetables are lightly marinated and goes so well with the pork that looks dry but is actually juicy and tender. The fajita plate is amazing as well. Nice taste and tender meats. We were able to replace some of the sides we can't eat with a big plate of lettuce. We ordered food for a big party a few weeks later and everybody loved the food. I picked it up and the service was great. It was all well packaged and good presentation when I opened them for the guests. Their take away food was just as good as if we were eating at the restaurant. The owner was completely hands on and directed the staff both times I was there. The place serves Tex mex, Salvadoran, and Guatemalan food. Go try it and keep this place alive!

Chris P.

Yelp
I never thought I could like fajita nachos as much as I do at Tracey's. They are loaded and lots of flavor. Everyone there is friendly too, so that is a plus. Stop on in and give them a try.

Deedee G.

Yelp
We decided to order out and wanted fajitas. Wanted to try something different than our "go to" places. Based on the Yelp reviews we tried Tracy's. YELPERS ARE RIGHT! We really loved the chicken nachos and the beef fajita were awesome! I am a bean critic and my husband is a salsa guy. While I loved the refried beans (like my mom's), he wasn't too crazy about the salsa. I'm not deducting a star for salsa... the meal was awesome, reasonably priced and delivered hot and fresh! This is now the #1 on our go to... visiting in person soon to check out service.

Tammy N.

Yelp
The first time we ordered here, we thought we caught them on a slow day because they gave us a huge portion of Fajitas for 2. That meal fed my husband and Me for lunch AND dinner. We've ordered a few more times and the food has been consistent. They're on our go-to list!

Kendall S.

Yelp
This place is legit. Ordered delivery for Mother's Day, the food was delicious and very priced reasonably. The tortillas were some of the best I've had in Houston. Chicken and beef fajitas were great. This would of been a 5 Star review but the fajitas didn't come with cheese and some of the tortilla chips were stale.

Tiffan C. W.

Yelp
FANTASTIC Latin American food! Neighborhood Pupusas!!! Wow! The Fajitas were loaded with skirt steak and great guacamole to go with it. The Salsa is exceptional, Wings are a tequila lime flavor, really just incredible. Move over, El J - we found our new favorite Latin food!

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Mexican food. This place serves some of the best charro beans I have ever had! Very friendly family owned business with great service. Highly recommend!

Brent S.

Yelp
This is a great little family restaurant. The five of us rolled in and we were greeted by the owner who asked us to take a seat. My youngest daughter promptly requested chicken nuggets, the middle kiddo ordered flautas, the boy ordered Tracy's #4, and we ordered the beef fajitas. It was all really good. Tracy's #4 was awesome and so were the fajitas. The atmosphere is family friendly and laid back. They have only been open a week so they are still working out the kinks. Oh and the have ice cream which my little monsters inhaled after the main course. We will be back!

Rodney H.

Yelp
In my opinion Tracey's has the best fajitas. It's family owned. Go give them a try. You'll be surprised.

Paul V.

Yelp
Stopped by to pick up a telephone order. Order mixed fajitas for 2, extra rice, flour tortillas, charro beans, and Chile con queso. Total price with tip $40, seemed high to me but was anxious to try a new place. The beef fajitas were marinated well, tasted great but surprisingly not tender. The chicken fajitas had a definite citrus taste, cooked well but need a bit more sear. The peppers and onions were spot on. The queso was so, #o. A strong American cheese taste with minimal chilies. Chips were thin, fresh but too small of snout. The guacamole and Pico de Gallo was very generous and delicious. Flour tortillas hand made, very large 14", paper thin and had that lardy, butter taste. They forget the extra rice, but no missed since it wasn't anything special. The charro beans were quite good. I really wanted it to be better and love supporting local business, but Tex-Mex is very competitive in Katy. I would give it 3 1/2 Stars but with no a/c and the cost, I just can't round up. Worth a try, hopefully will improve over time....

LeighAnn B.

Yelp
The food just had no real flavor. And we could barely bite through the tough, chewy chicken. Still on the search for good tasting, reasonably priced fajitas. Not here.

Scott W.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try this place out and glad we did! The wife and I had the fajitas for two, and kids had quesadillas and chicken nuggets. The fajitas were on par with Lupe Tortilla, but with far better service. The wait for the food was a little long, but it was with the wait. Also the convenient location means we'll try it "to go" on the way home from kids sports practices, etc. Highly recommend, but didn't see any beer/margaritas. Hope those are coming soon!

Brant B.

Yelp
We love Tracy's. Fresh food, made when you order it and not warming under some lamp. It's a family owned business with several members of the family working it. The fajitas are excellent. I usually get the quesadillas. Since the coronavirus, we usually get to go orders (they have a drive up window) and we get the fajitas for 4 and an order of quesadillas and that feeds the entire family of 6 for 2 meals! It's not a fast food place, so expect some time while they cook your food. My entire family loves this place!

William O.

Yelp
We ordered a fajita platter rod then for our Labor Day party. The steak and chicken fajitas were wonderful! Great price and generous portions! All of the accoutrements were included. We had a great first experience and we will be back!

Mauricio T.

Yelp
A+ Restaurant. Ralpha burrito & the chicken nachos, definitely my favorite plates to order

Mallory M.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! Family owned and ran with AMAZING food. I get take out once to twice a week every week. It's that good!! 12/10 recommend.

İsil K.

Yelp
The food was wonderful paired with fast attentive service, and overall we had a great experience. The fresh made tortillas and tender fajita meat will definitely bring us back to this great place again.

B D.

Yelp
Food was very good. Chips, salsa, and charro beans delicious. We got mixed fajitas for two. The meat was tender and very flavorful. Tortillas were hand made, and the sides were just as good. Service was a little slow for only having a few tables occupied and the decor is a little weird (more like a diner setup). Only bad thing was the tap water it needs a filter bad. Want this place to do well because the food was really excellent!

Cat B.

Yelp
The mixed fajitas were delicious. The meet and chicken were tender with great seasoning. My husband also enjoyed his enchiladas.

Gaby M.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely DELICIOUS!! The meat is so tender and flavorful so much better than the Tex-Mex chain restaurants in the area. The customer service over the phone and in the drive-through is very professional. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because both times we've picked up food we've had to wait at least 20 minutes even after calling in beforehand. But I will honestly say it is worth the wait.

Jonah M.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are new to the Katy area and this is the first restaurant we went to after we moved from Houston. The service was fantastic along with the food that we ordered. My boyfriend got the beef fajitas and I had the combo quesadillas and we had zero complaints everything was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or anyone in the area!

Arly S.

Yelp
Excellent, super yummy food and customer service! I love their hand made tortillas. Definitely recommend this place to eat anytime of the day.

Brad G.

Yelp
I ordered the lunch trio, had a taco, tamale and and a cheese enchilada with queso instead of the gravy. The food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Even the charro beans they brought out were outstanding.

Claude C.

Yelp
Fajitas are delicious and their salsa is one of the best I've tasted. The fajitas taste marinated with a lemon zest feel to it. Knock off one star for how long it took for the food to be made. Took a lot longer considering we were the only ones eating in. Also, they dont serve alcohol so no margaritas!

Zolto M.

Yelp
I had the beef fajitas, quest and chips. The flavors are top notch. The beef has a great citrus marinade flavor going on, and the queso is one of the best I've ever tried. I can sympathize their location. Trying to start up a restaurant in more of a neighborhood location can be rough. I highly recommend giving them a try though.

Ali Z.

Yelp
Small place with big menu AND taste!! I'd recommend visiting this small but thriving restaurant. It's a good place to go within the neighborhood.

davi b.

Yelp
I'm vegan and didn't expect to find anything to eat here but the sautéed vegetable enchilada with salsa was delicious. My friends had the fajitas and raved about them but the homemade tortillas were especially amazing. They alone are worth it the trip.
