Ordered Beef Fajitas for two, a Cheese Enchilada plate, a side of Guacamole, a side of Pico deGallo, and 2 pieces of Tres Leches for desert.
The fajitas were VERY VERY GOOD! Most places over salt their fajitas... not here! Excellent flavor and the meat was pretty tender! Also, the portions were excellent.
We had about 6 pieces of meat left over (good enough for one small taco) the next day.
The tortillas they sent were too big!
Instead of 3 fajita tacos, we each had one giant beef fajita burrito instead. It's not exactly how I wanted to eat my fajitas.
Opting to find the silver lining we figured "Hey, at least they sent tortillas of some kind" (because it's happen before where the food shows up and the restaurant sent everything except the tortillas).
The cheese enchilada plate left alot to be desired. We shared the plate: I ate about a third of my enchilada; my cousin ate half of his... neither of us finished an entire enchilada.
It's not that the enchiladas were bad, because they weren't. They were just... bland. I love to cook and love to eat... but Im still trying to figure out the type of cheese mrlted on top of the enchiladas. It looks like cheese of some kind, but it was see- through...which is weird right?
Their cheese enchiladas would be PERFECT for little kids or for someone who is boring in their eating...LOL...... they're not spicy at all, very safe for the tongue and tummy....but I would never order their cheese enchiladas again.
Now, let's talk about the Tres Leches Cake. I was immediately (visually) disappointed with the Tres Leches because the slices looked like a regular 2- layer cake slice with some sort of whip type icing with colorful sprinkles.
I saw no pooled milk at the bottom of the container letting me know the cake would be soggy with a yummy blend of 3 milks.
After taking a few bites, as I suspected, the cake was relatively dry. It tasted good, but dry-ish. Yes, there was a little wetness to the cake, but it was not your traditional Tres Leches.
I ate a third of my cake slice; my cousin ate one bite (the tip) and didn't eat the rest. Me personally, I will not order the Tres Leches ever again.
It would have been awesome if it had been a sheet cake, had been soggy with milk, and made with real whip cream instead of whatever that whip topping was....and no sprinkles! I know it sounds weird, but the icing was wet and oddly dry at the same time.
The side of Guacamole was VERY GOOD! The thing I loved most (besides the taste) was it was like 95% avocados with the rest of it being tomatoes/onions/spices. Also, it was very fresh tasting and didn't taste like they squeezed a whole lemon in it (to keep it from turning brown).
The side of Pico deGallo was also VERY GOOD! In my opinion it could've used more onions, more jalapenos, and cilantro... but don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining!
Overall, the beef fajitas and sides were an A+
The cheese enchilada plate was a C-
The Tres Leches was a flat out D
I will order Tracey Fajitas again... Next time I'll order the flan.
