"Tracey’s was issued a warning by New Orleans police after crowds were reported at the establishment on Saturday. Tracey’s responded saying that it wasn’t packed 'at all,' and that 'everyone was very respectful of social distancing.' The bar is known for its St. Patrick’s Day block parties. Police were previously called to Tracey’s to break up crowds gathered unofficially outside the bar for St. Patrick’s Day on March 14." - Clair Lorell

Whoa they messed this place up

Mike And Rox K.

Yelp
Rox's notes: I'm biased because this has been one of my fav bars since their original location. Love this bar, love the people, love the crawfish. Little spicy and still got a little tingle on my lips! Fried catfish here is a 10/10 too. Mike's notes: I'm normally just a fixins kinda guy, but these crawfish were very good!

Theresa K.

Yelp
I heard that the poboys at Tracey's were one of the best in the city on TikTok. So I decided to head over today. I ordered the small fried shrimp poboy dressed, however I hate Mayo so they were kind enough to put mustard on mine. I also, ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo. Service was great friendly and accommodating! The poboy was SO GOOD! Shrimp were fried to perfection, the French bread was great, hard outside but once you bite into in soft! Will definitely be going back for that alone. The reason for the 3 stars is the gumbo. Being from Louisiana I have a certain expectation when it comes to gumbo, and usually i'm apprehensive to order. But since it was a special today I decided to get it. Let me say this it was flavorful and good but was not gumbo. It tasted more like rice and gravy (which I love). That is the only reason for the three stars, will definitely go back to try more items on the menu!

Yelp
If you're looking to have a beer and watch a game, cool. Food is not it. Lots of frozen, fried, microwaved food.

Whitney J.

Yelp
Looking for a fun place to eat, drink, and watch sports ...this is your spot! Fantastic service! Great food and drinks! Y'all come hang out! Tracey's is a NOLA staple! Always a good time!!

Yelp
What happened to this place? I know they moved and the new location seems bigger and cleaner but no draft beer for starters and it seems it's been like that since the relocation. Now it appears that they have tried to transition from bar to family restaurant. So what brought me here, I went to meet some friends and watch a college football game and was told it would be on. I get there and there are 20 plus TVs and my game was on one and when I asked if it would be on others, I was told that's it. I spoke with another table that was another fan base and they said they called and were told that their game would be on a TV as well. Should have been a sign as they were told that they could not find their game as it was on ESPN Plus. As my game started, it was suddenly changed to a different game and when I asked what happened, I was told, I'm not in charge of that and don't know where that person is. It's an empty place and you can't take ownership and fix the issue? Five minutes there was five minutes too long. Sadly what was once a good place seems to have lost its customer service and hospitality it the move.

Yelp
If I had a choice I would give this place zero starts. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and there were multiple seats open at the bar. Took 2 of them and waited and waited and waited. Bartender walked away from us three times and never acknowledged us once. A server came up next to us and also ignored us. Then 2 patrons walked part of their meal up to the bar to complain about it because the wait staff hadn't been back to their table. At that point it was time to go. Unfortunate- large bar on a nice street, but service was. Non-existent.

Yelp
So this bar/restaurant has officially MOVED! They relocated further down Magazine Street to a way nicer location which I am impressed with. The new location is just brighter, more natural light and is two stories! They have TV screens everywhere for sports and entertainment, and the upstairs area is also available for events, etc. I went there yesterday with my toddler son and husband and they were very accommodating to my baby boy. I ordered him the grilled cheese sandwich with chips and he didn't like the sandwich so they immediately switched it out for chicken tenders right away which I appreciated. I also ordered the $14 Cheeseburger Plate which came with waffle fries. The only thing i thought was overpriced was the house Rosé which was $12 for not even a half a glass of wine. Wine shouldn't be that expensive for not even a full glass. They do have a good happy hour, my husband got a double well tequila/soda for $8! Will be back - I love that they are kid friendly! Means a lot to a social mommy like myself that likes to take my baby anywhere I go!

Yelp
The owner of Tracey's first became famous for roast beef po'boys when he owned the nearby Parasol's bar where he was leasing the building which was sold so he moved right up the street to the much larger current location of Tracey's. Parasol's is still slinging roast beef po'boys but most of the food shows that have featured Parasol's roast beef were filmed back when the current owner of Tracey's was making his roast beef po'boys there so for those who want that Parasol's roast beef they saw on those food shows need to eat at Tracey's for that. I used to really love Parasols and then when the food and owner moved to Tracey's I really loved this bar. In the years since it just seems this is another New Orleans classic dive bar joint that unfortunately seems to have gotten as expensive as fancier joints. The quality of the food service has been slipping over the years and it just doesn't seem to regularly bring in the crowds it used to unless some athletic event or St. Patrick's event is going on so the ambiance has dropped for normal times with that. Higher prices, smaller potions on the poboys with inconsistencies in the food where it ranges from great to really disappointing have seemed to have resulted in regular times here being less people and less fun... Times are changing fast and not for the better in the bar industry of NOLA. I used to eat here quite often now I rarely find myself coming here even though I live quite near. They do have a great cheeseburger here if they are on one of their good days. Now certainly finding good staff these days is really hard and prices on EVERYTHING keep going up which is also probably contributing to less people going out. I still have to demand a minimum quality on my food though and it just seems more often than not I'm getting disappointed here. Now it can still get jam packed here for sporting events and totally insane during St. Patrick's time. At least they still have the crazy fun St. Patrick's day events here but other than that I just rarely find myself coming here anymore. I keep hoping they will get the food back to being more consistent... My average experience of late has really been more of a one to two star with the food while the bar is still a decent dive joint although not really dive priced drinks while the third star is more for the great times and consistently delicious food I USED to experience here. My video review of Tracey's is here: https://youtu.be/mZo3ZBV7eUQ

Yelp
Not the same since they moved Atmosphere is eh... No draft beer- Staff is non existent Food is terrible

Yelp
What a complete shit show!!!!! came down to spend the weekend and watch the Saints game on Sunday by halftime the waitress/kitchen said it would take an hour to get a Poboy. What? it's Sunday the Saints are out of town on TV. You didn't realize you might have to sell more than three po boys.? The Boudan eggrolls came out of the kitchen cold. The meat pies they were out of creole mustard so the waitress said here's some honey mustard and some wasabi. There is a grocery store across the street where you can buy a jar of creole mustard! After halftime the sound came back on so loud, the four front tables had to get up and leave was a huge fan of the old place!!!! Don't know what the fuck happened but this place is a clown show now!!!! But hey they got yoga upstairs during the week

Scott K.

Yelp
New review since they changed locations. The new location is nice (the old Bayou Burger on Magazine), and the roast beef is as good as it's always been, which is the best in the world. I'm really hoping lots of people come out to it because we were there on a Saturday night and it was almost empty. If you like a roast beef poboy, you will not find a better one.

Kevin K.

Yelp
Cash only. Annoying but ok whatever. Bigger problem was 1.5 hour wait to get one poboy. And very few people waiting! Perplexing. How long does it take to put roast beef on bread! Several people were requesting their cash back. Terrible service in this place.

Chip D.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood sports bar where we watched the Phillies win game 1 of the NLCS and rooted for whoever was playing the Cowboys on a Monday night. It wasn't really busy, but we got really good service at the bar, where the bartender pulled great pints of Guiness. They looked to have a kitchen with a variety of bar food. (We had just come from dinner, or we would have tried it out.) Had a good time watching the game.

Yelp
I love this place! Tracy's Crawfish Boil has been on my bucket list for quite awhile. It's tricky, because crawfish boils are seasonal. If you see the truck outside...you know they are in season! On my most recent visit they were in season! My wife and I stopped in at noon on Thursday March 30th. If you've never been here - let me coach you up: You order and pay for the crawfish outside the front door; raw oysters in the front corner; drinks at the bar; and all other food from the kitchen. I ordered 1 pound of crawfish for $10. I added: corn ($1), sausage ($1), and potatoes ($1). For a total of $13 I had one of my most enjoyable meals ever! We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender and his wife (Reggie and Ashley), and some other very nice people. Great music selection Reggie! All around a great experience. Can't wait for next time!

Rob T.

Yelp
God my Irish soul loves Tracey's. I could sit there all day long and watch the world go by as well as every imaginable game that is televised with the dozen or so television screens about. Tracey's is just so laid back and glorious that the Irish Channel would not feel the same without it! Bar staff here are always friendly and welcoming. I so look forward to coming down and grabbing a roast beef po'boy and catch a Saints game. Who could ask for more? Not me! Well, maybe their boudin balls too. St. Patrick's Day is just off the friggin hook here! So much fun! You must experience St. Patrick's Day at least once here to appreciate what I am talking about. Great to see Tracey's alive and kicking again!

Ella A.

Yelp
I visited Tracey's to watch the NCAA Final Four with friends. It was understandably busy. There are tons of TV's - unfortunately, some are partially blocked by ceiling fans (which are needed with NOLA weather) and some TV's had very annoying glitches that stopped/delayed the action. I didn't even try to get a drink as the bar was slammed and it looked as though there was only one bartender for everyone. I was told that the roast beef poboy was award winning, so I ordered one. (There's a separate window on the back wall for food orders.) While I was standing in line, a woman joked about how dirty the kitchen was... I laughed and said, "I'm sure we are fine, we will live." WELL. While that roast beef poboy was really good, I felt like I was going to die from the food poisoning I'm assuming I got from that poboy... so I'll be skipping the food the next time I visit, no matter how tasty it is.

Yelp
Neighborhood sports bar with a great atmosphere. It was a busy Football Sunday afternoon so the staff was busy and short with service but my friends and I had a GREAT Bloody Mary here before we continued our walk through the neighborhood. Could definitely see myself coming here again if the opportunity presents itself!

Leann H.

Yelp
Came here over Halloween weekend from Philly and it was a great place to watch the games. Good beer selection, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. However, the food left something to be desired. The two items on the menu that looked the best (meat pies & potato salad with roast beef debris) weren't available. Eventually ordered the corned beef expecting it to be a traditional cold sandwich but it was grilled and extremely greasy. It also said on the menu it came with potato salad and pickles, neither of which were true. Don't come hungry.

Yelp
My coworker and I happened upon this place when we took a streetcar down Magazine Street and then began looking at the architecture. Tracey's had a handful of patrons at 11:30 am, and we decided it was a good place to try. We placed an order at the window and paid. Several people were eating the crawfish. I chose a fried chicken po'boy. It was extremely delicious! A couple of beers to cool us off while we watched a B1G basketball game on the TV closest to us. Of particular interest was a flag flying up by the entrance. I knew I found a place with good taste!

Kelsey J.

Yelp
Good neighborhood bar. Was out of some beer options including Abita Strawberry & Paradise Park. Don't eat from the kitchen here unless you want some basic stuff you could make at home. But if it's crawfish season, DEF get the crawfish. So amazingly seasoned. $28 for 3 pounds $9 per pound. Raw oysters were also available, cash only.

Marty P.

Yelp
Tracey's was exactly what our group needed on a rainy day in the Garden District. We decided to take the street care out into the garden district to check out the vibes and see some cool houses and greenery. Unfortunately, mother nature decided to greet us with our only day of rain on the whole trip. We stumbled upon Tracey's and it ended up being a great place to kick back, have a beer, some fried pickles, and watch the Saints game. Nothing too crazy about the place. Its a divey Irish pub sort of bar with a full kitchen in the back serving up a mix of Louisiana classics, bar food, and some Irish grub. GET THE FRIED PICKLES! Even if you arent hungry just do it! They are perfectly breaded and come with a side of ranch. Personally I was partial to a dash of Crystal hot sauce *chefs kiss*

Kavita K.

Yelp
Had their Kalmata Olive Pasta dish w/ burnt shrimp. There was no one to seat us initially. Waited around awkwardly trying to figure out where to go.. Food came out in ~15 minutes. It took the server a while to find cutlery. She walked around the restaurant trying to find silver ware. Not her fault but the place is in need of better management. Pasta was oily and didn't taste the best. Tried some of my friend's fried chicken sandwich. Chicken was nice and crispy. Ended with the croissant beignets w/ cinnamon and ice-cream which was amazing but it's hard to make that taste bad. Don't expect the best food if you come here, but it's an alright place to stop for a quick lunch.

Alexia G.

Yelp
I was really happy here. Solid Bloody Mary, great beer selection. Let's not forget to mention how tasty the crawfish was. It's a lot of work and you can tell the pride the staff has here. I didn't plan on coming here - we were going for a walk and I am so glad we stopped in for some drinks and a tray of crawfish. Be ready to sniffle sniffle. I loved the kick of these crawfish and they were done correctly. Staff was friendly, down to earth, professional and hospitable. I will certainly be back.

Kirk H.

Yelp
We stopped in here for lunch--probably around 1. There weren't very many tables in use, but there was still a line at the ordering counter. There was one person taking orders and one cooking, so it was very slow. And no one on the staff seemed to be worried about that, they were just taking their own time. While waiting I went to the men's room, which was one of the more disgusting places I've seen in a long time--I'm talking old gas station outhouse kinda dirty. Finally our po-boys were ready and they were...fair. Would not recommend. One positive was the bartender was pleasant and drinks were ready pretty fast.

Araceli C.

Yelp
Visiting my friends And she took me for lunch I order shrimp po boy and fried okra She order beef po boy whit fry pickles The lady that took our order was friendly and fast Po boys was god and huge portion the sides as well Really good

Daniel G.

Yelp
Food was good for those who want a snack and a drink. Portion sizes were good and not too big. Drink service was on point and had a range of beer and liquor. Ambiance was typical pub with a quiz, if only we knew more about American sports trivia and we may of joined in!

Shannon D.

Yelp
I visited Traceys this past Saturday. I came into New Orleans from Orlando with a group of my friends and I'm SO GLAD we came across Traceys! We were only stopping in for one drink, but the bartenders, Jeff and Tracey, were so awesome we ended up staying for hours. The drinks were great, the atmosphere is awesome, the food looked amazing, LOW prices, and the bartenders were super cool. Make sure to ask for Jeff's homemade hot sauce too! We even took a bottle back to Orlando and I put it on everything! Traceys is A MUST STOP place!

Raymond C.

Yelp
Great place to catch a game with good value on drinks, delicious food, good service and fabulous casual atmosphere to catch a game with friends. We went here with the boys, and they enjoyed playing the pinball machines in the back. The Reuben sandwich was excellent, as well as crawfish and corn. Have to order drinks, sandwiches and crawfish/corn from separate counters. Crawfish sells out quickly. We all enjoyed this spot in the Garden District to watch the Aztecs make it into the Final Four.

Caz P.

Yelp
Cute Bar/Restaurant... Kind staff, helpful with suggestions... Cold Local Beers & Delicious Po'boys

Ariel J.

Yelp
Bartender was very social and nice. We had their special irish bomb shots! Very cool place

Melody A.

Yelp
I loved this place! You can smell the crawfish cooking down the street! It was about $25 for each crawfish tray and $1 for the dipping sauce (I recommend getting the sauce) and we paid in cash. This is a great place to watch sports but also to hang out. The people are very friendly and the food was great! They have more food inside and it's mostly finger foods.

Krissy H.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow!!! The freshest most amazing crawfish ever!!!!!! So absolutely delicious. FYI it's just a every day normal neighborhood bar what amazing crawfish

Jordan J.

Yelp
Friendly staff and the boil was perfect! It was a great spot right on Magazine, can't wait to go back!

Jenn C.

Yelp
Our group loved the vibes here, the food was good and drinks even better. Def recommend will stop by next time in town

Laurel R.

Yelp
We hit this spot up as a recommendation from a local we met on our trip. Was not disappointed at all the food was great. We ordered the po boys (shrimp and roast beef), fried okra, and their red beans and rice. The po boys were delicious and so was everything else. When we come back to the city we will definitely be coming back to try more!

Jeff H.

Yelp
Good time! Went to watch a game. The staff was really nice and the food worked. Did the oysters, and sandwiches.

Nora L.

Yelp
A great classic for the classic roast beef poboy. The Parkway in my neighborhood is my go to, but Tracey's beats their roast beef (albeit by a narrow margin), and that's saying a lot!

Kristina R.

Yelp
This bar is always busy and has a fun vibe. We all stopped by to watch a game and ended up splitting the cheese fries which were delicious. Loved that the cheese coated most of the fries and quenched our desires for a splurge food item.

Abigail B.

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar. Nathan is a companionable bartender! I hear the Irish Sundae is exceptional

Alan D.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite Oyster Bar in NOLO. Great menu, nothing fancy, but good New Orleans Pub Food. The server that runs the Oyster Bar is a real character and serves fresh shucked oysters at your table. Good beer and liquor selection as well. A real "local" venue!!

Jasmine J.

Yelp
My husband and I were walking down Magazine, and we decided to stop in to try select crawfish after smelling them. The lady at the table ,in front the of establishment, selling the crawfish was extremely nice. She even let us try one before actually purchasing them. The crawfish were really good and flavorful, so we decided to get corn, potatoes, sausage, and 5 lbs of crawfish. The corn and potatoes were not seasoned. We decided to eat inside, and I truly regret it. We should have taken the food Togo. My husband had to walk to the bar to get a drink, and he was skipped over twice before being acknowledged at the bar. In addition to the bar experience, there was also a waiter that walked around and asked how everyone was doing. He made eye contact with us, but he never came over to check on us. The only person that did acknowledge us was the African American male busboy. He asked to empty our tray. I have never in my life experienced this type of treatment before. I really enjoyed the food, but I will not spend my money at this establishment again. My husband said the sausage was some of the best sausage that he had ever had. The crawfish were some of the best crawfish that we had this year.

Yula K.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink with my husband and was glared at by staff and customers the whole time. I know I am exceptionally beautiful so I am used to being stared at, but this felt mean spirited. When we left I believe somebody at the bar called us Yankees. Sir I am not a Yankee I am from Poland.

Laura C.

Yelp
This place is fine. It was a convenient stop for us on our long walk from the French district to the garden district. It was $25 for alcoholic beverages and two water bottles. The drinks were strong so they definitely were not light on the booze but was disappointed in the Bloody Mary which was just a brown premade mix.

Vini L.

Yelp
Horrible service. The bar tender was extremely rude more then a normal type of rude. I do not complain about certain business but Nathan was extremely rude.

Diemeary D.

Yelp
Awesome service. Crawfish were pretty decent for not being in season. Loved the atmosphere and location. Parking available on the street and it's really a great place to have a good time with friends.

Steven G.

Yelp
A place on the Simpsons food tour of nola and deservingly so. I love grabbing an alligator sausage po boy. The sausage taste like any other delicious sausage, you would never really know it is alligator. Goes well fully dressed and the bread is as good as it comes.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Great local Irish pub in NOLA!! Crawfish boil was perfect and as always they have some great beer on tap!

Matthew M.

Yelp
Quintessential New Orleans bar. Good food and good drinks. Fun place to hang out. Good people watching.

Jessica E.

Yelp
Crawfish was good and clean. So much crawfish and it was ready. Can not really tell you about the customer service took it to go. I only ordered crawfish platter.
