Google
This is my all time favorite gay bar! Best staff, fair prices, fun events (love their corn hole), nothing negative to say. Thank you for providing a great space for our community

Clayton T.

Google
This was my first time in Trade, a gay nightclub/ social club. It appears they have regular events as there were advertisements for other upcoming events in several places. I happened to be at the Memorial Day Beer Bust. They have an inside and very large outdoor patio and most patrons were outside till it started raining… but then everyone moved inside. Music was great and they had servers walking around refilling beer for the Beer Bust event. It really was part social club and part gay bar or nightclub. All the staff I talked to were great and friendly. Since it was raining, I did get a locker to put my sweatshirt in which was a nice feature… but I think the lockers get more use on some of their other special event nights. Anyway. I will certainly be back. A fun time with a very large crowd.

I don’t go out much so it’s very sporadic for me to go here but I’ve never had a bad experience no matter what day or time or crowd. I can understand why some people may not have an enjoyable experience if they don’t have an inclusive mentality. If you enjoy people of every kind of culture and interest you should always have fun. You don’t have to partake in anything that doesn’t interest you anymore than you have to have an attitude towards anyone who might not share your Same interests.

Google
One of the staples of Denver gay nightlife. Amazing bar with great staff, fun events, and a loving atmosphere. Often hosting many fun themed events, and the best fet-bar space in the area.

Google
Came here for after work drinks. First time at a bar by myself. Bartender - Jack - was such a star. Made sure I was comfortable, happy, and had a safe way home. Beautiful soul - inside and out. Thanks for a nice afternoon.

Google
The establishment overall is ok, but the staffing makes it miserable at best. Every aspect is constantly understaffed. The owner seems to think that 1 person checking ID’s and collecting the cover payments is acceptable. The bar also has extremely long lines to get drinks. There are so many aspects of this bar that would be nicer if they would just hire more staff.

Google
Awesome Gay Leather Bar! Love the underwear nights and fun themed parties! Amazing staff and great drinks! Fun atmosphere and tons of events always going on!

Google
The coolest gay bar in Denver! After I went there, it became my favorite spot! Especially their beerbust Sundays, so fun! I can have beers and interact with people! Also their bartenders are more than amazing! Especially Tank, OB and several others I forgot their names! Their underwear nights Thursday nights are so fun as well if you’re into that! Also, they are active on Instagram and they keep posting about their events! Highly recommended whether you’re visiting or you live here. I think Trade is the best gay bar in Denver

Yelp
The ambiance inside is open, dark, and very rustic. The bartender was spectacular- kind, hospitable, and made well balanced drinks-. They have a spacious outdoor space that is extremely nice- the parking is primarily on the street but it was plentiful Attend a gathering here - you won't be disappointed

Dave B.

Yelp
$15 for a warm glass of beer, ridiculous. I attended the club's beer bash Daisy Duke Short Shorts event on July 27, 20025. Large turn out but very few people were dressed for the event. Based on the way most people were attired, I'd say a leather event or one for bears would have been far more appropriate. The combination of the cost of a single beer and the attendance made for a extremely disappointing experience. I left after 15 minutes.

Yelp
Beer bust. Bears. Theme Nights. Mixed crowds. Great drinks. Amazing bartenders. An owner who cares and spends time in his establishment. You can't go wrong with Trade. From the Musical Movie nights to Underwear night to $15 All you can drink Beer/Selzer bust. The crowds are always slightly shifting, and it's a great place to meet people. As a black trans woman, I have to be vigilant of my surroundings at all times. I always feel safe here. Trade was the first LGBTQ Bar that I frequented after moving here three years ago. It doesn't matter if I go alone, or with friends. Chris is the owner, and he is one of the nicest guys I know. Always looking to see how he can bolster the bar, and keep things fresh. If I am not at Denver Sweet, you will catch me here or at Boyztown. All for different fixes of course.
google avatar

Ricardo B.

Yelp
It's a gay bar that features theme nights. Being from south Florida, I am kind of jaded in terms of gay bars. Having said that, love the fact that you can get either a small or a large drink and that it is served in a glass as opposed to a very small plastic cup

Yelp
Meh this manager on Thursday night is full of it! It's underwear night. And he gave me 2 strikes when half of the people in the room are exposed... bull**** Sounds like jealousy to me. If you're gonna enforce a policy apply it to everyone. Not impressed
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
I had such a blast at Trade!! Well, maybe it's because I was literally the ONLY woman that night in an entire bar full of men. It was great. I came here with some friends, and it was easy to get in. (Maybe we were early.) We went straight to the bar to order drinks and rented a locker for our belongings. Drinks were good, not made from cheap liquor. Music was fun, not too loud. Vibes were friendly, not creepy. Hooray for a fun time!!
google avatar

Yelp
Pros: -The location, right off the highway. -Drinks are decently priced. -The atmosphere is leather bar decor. -off street parking. -large bar Cons: -small inside and outside patio. -staff is not engaging. Had to ask if the door guy needed to I.D me, otherwise I walked in. -only 4-5 tables and otherwise it's standing room only. -restrooms don't have a sign indicating location.

Yelp
I love this place. We have had some great times here, celebrating birthdays, doing infused shots and loading up the jukebox with all they Cyndi, Cher & Madonna songs. Their COVID precautions are on point. They have very clear barriers between tables, servers wear masks and they have contact tracing check in at the front door along with hand sanitizer. This is a great, safe place to celebrate PRIDE. And even with the 6ft between tables, folks are still friendly and chatted with us from across the room.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great time this weekend at Trade. Came there for the first time in Friday and ended up back there on Saturday night as well. The patio area with the fire pits really made this feel like a backyard bbq, with a lot of shirtless guys. The music was a good volume where you could dance and still talk with people. We will be back again.
google avatar

Doug S.

Yelp
If you are going to charge $25 to get in during Pride please have the decency to have a real DJ and not just a guy playing 20 second techno clips on repeat for several hours. No one was dancing and it was so mundane we left and went to Sweet as they had no cover and better music and a much better atmosphere. Be better...not boring.

Avery L.

Yelp
The most inclusive lgbtq bar in the city. Extremely trans friendly would be an understatement. People of all races, body types, identities, and sexualities come here to hang. Awesome leather and kink events. All the bartenders are amazing, but especially Ray.

DenverPride P.

Yelp
Not welcoming of all. Weed smoked outside frequently, butt cracks and more showing, even by staff.

Roeark F.

Yelp
Love this place! Always a fun atmosphere and the staff is friendly. The music is also well DJ'ed on weekends and weekday events. Definitely a stand out when it comes to looking for a place to chill that is very accepting of all age and body types.

Yelp
Love the whole atmosphere of the bar, so relaxed, very friendly staff. The patio was also very laid back and serene. Great place

Yelp
I had rated this bar 5 stars, but have dropped it down to 1 star..let me explain.. This place used to serve a fantastic cocktail..the cocktails used to be very stiff, much like other dive bars in other cities, such as the mercantile saloon in Sacramento or number one fifth Avenue in San Diego...the difference between the mercantile and number one fifth Avenue vs Trade is those bars never changed their business model of serving VERY stiff cocktails for cheap prices...example..In 2013-2015, I used to go to number one fifth Avenue and was served extremely strong cocktails, then left in 2015..I came back to visit in 2019 to number one fifth Avenue in San Diego all those years later, and i was worried things might have changed...but I was very pleased to see that bars business model had not changed at number one 5th Ave in San Diego. They were still serving extremely stiff cocktails for cheap 6-8$..maybe it was a dollar or two more than in 2015, maybe not..point is, they still served extremely stiff cocktails, even years after I had been there prior. I'm fact, the assistant manager was my bartender, and he still served me a legendary cocktail at number one 5th Avenue for very cheap ..their business model had not changed, despite 4 years passing since I had been there...which brings me to my point , to contrast how Trade Bar in Denver definitely changed their business model in only a few months... I started coming to trade only in October of 2021...was so glad to find a busy bar that also served cheap stiff cocktails in Denver..it even says so in their online self description, "serves a stiff drink." I had come just after Easter 2022 and the drinks were as stiff as normal..I had claimed this place as my only place to go as I loved the staff and cheap drinks and super stiff cocktails..since that visit just after Easter 2022, I have been back twice, only to find in such a short amount of time, things at trade bar denver have changed drastically.. Gone are the stiff cocktails and gone is what made Trade a super special place to go ..they are now serving watered down drinks, really no better than charlie's, which I had laughed at in the past, for serving such watered down drinks...Now trade is doing the same thing...watered down weak drinks the last 2 times I went, and i made sure to try every bartender working on both occasions, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke/coincidence. Did they think nobody would notice? So sad to say, what made trade special is gone...it's just another laughing stock like charlie's serving weak watered down drinks. I used to make a special trip to come to trade, even though it's way out of the way from where I live. Now, there's no point in making the trip anymore - I may as well just walk down the street from where I live to go to the cap. hill bars like X-Bar (no need to call an uber anymore). I always used to close out the bar and wouldn't go anywhere else but trade..I left tonight after 2 watery weak drinks and I'm headed to X bar..I'm so sad this has happened..clearly greed has taken over...I'm out of there. You lost me as a customer.. By the way, X-Bar was fantastic and some really cute boys were checking me out, unlike Trade where i get ignored..I think I will be sticking to X Bar and dare i say charlie's from now on..I never saw this coming....shame on you Trade..by the way, X-bar and charlie's don't serve stiff drinks either, unless you get a double...the reason I give x bar and charlies a pass on weak cocktails is they never claimed to serve anything but average cocktails..there was no change in their business model...It's insulting to my intelligence for a place like Trade to once offer such amazing cocktails, and in a matter of a month, take them away and replace them with weak cocktails- it just shows money is all they care about...that bugs me to no end and i refuse to play that game with Trade, when other bars like Number one fifth avenue and the mercantile saloon never strayed from their business model of serving cheap incredibly strong cocktails, despite years passing. I wish Trade bar luck with their weak watered down drinks...You have been warned if you go trade, that's what you'll get....

Yelp
Today, 6/6/18, internet is down. (Probably due to Comcast). No credit card is being processed, rather it is hand written by the bartender. It is alarming that they write EVERYTHING down, your whole card number expiration date, and security code. No guarantee that this non-receipt will be destroyed. No anticipation of what will happen to the information. The bartender did not have the manager's contact information. Been to this bar several times, today is not a good day to visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Every time my husband and I show up not knowing there's a show/event going on and it's great. Underwear night, BDSM show. PROOF OF VACCINE is such a relief to someone who is HIV+. Thank you

Robert R.

Yelp
One of the best bars in Denver!! Very inclusive, not pricey at all, and has just the right amount of space for parties!
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
Best, friendliest bar in Denver. Super friendly staff, awesome atmosphere. Also, if you are looking for a bear friendly space, this is the place to be. Put on your best leather gear, graphic tee, or whatnot and come have a good time.
google avatar

Matt A.

Yelp
Okay I thought the venue was a small but they don't over charge for drinks like other gay bars here in Denver (aka denver sweet... )
google avatar

Grant S.

Yelp
Guys the slow service, 3-4 guys behind the bar talking to each other, don't greet or even acknowledge the customer for 30-60 seconds, it's irritating and unprofessional
google avatar

Tim B.

Yelp
Great place. Staff is friendly, nice crowd too. Talked to a cool guy for awhile.
google avatar

Yelp

Yelp
Thanks the stars that this bar is open and ready for business...much like many of its customers ;-) Butt seriously, Trade fills a huge hole in the Denver gay community - it is a much needed establishment. This IS the best local gay bar in The Mile High City. Great drink specials, always polite staff, sexy patrons, and fun, Fun, FUN! I really dig the patio with its outdoor bar, fire pits, high fences, and decent space for mingling - in your pants or out of them. While the bar itself is not big, it's got an excellent vibe. I'd call this a leather bar, where it's not uncommon to see men in their undies, sexy male model videos, and all the raunchy goodness that comes with it. When you're at Trade you can let your freak flag fly. You are free to be who you are, no judgements. What's more, this place honors the gay man culture. It's quite refreshing to have an honest to goodness dark and dank bar for the boys! This is definitely my go to spot. More times than none there are decent drink specials. On the weekends it can get crowded but the bar staff is really efficient, some are sexy AF, and they are all friendly. It's a gay bar - you'll see things here that you won't see anywhere else. That's all part of its charm. I wouldn't trade Trade for any other gay bar in town.

Yelp
Trade is definitely an amazing gay bar, with all the sorts of amenities of alcohol and homosexuality that one could ever ask for. For heterosexuals and women (especially lesbians), this is probably not the place for you; this is very much a gay bar, and very much caters to gay men. However, if you are a gay man (or perhaps questioning man hehe), then this is the bar for you! The alcohol is poured very cheaply and freely-- about five dollars for a very tall glass of coke and whiskey, tequila sunrise, vodka soda, etc. And when I mean tall, I mean very tall-- like your 6'5'' cousin facing off against basketball with you sort of tall. If you aren't a seasoned drinker, the alcohol will knock you out of the ball park and into the football stadium next door. As for the crowd: very sexy, with a wide variety, both sexual and non-sexual. You will find someone that will pique your interest here, and have an extraordinary time exploring the entire scene that is well hidden away from the mainstream side of gay clubs within the Colorado community. I truly recommend this place, and the only way for you to experience it is to go out yourself and see what I am saying within this review ;)

Yelp
This bar has a great staff, great clientele, great drinks and even great prices! The owner, Chris Newell, doesn't even have a general manager for his two bars (Gladys across the street) yet still manages to operate both with hardly any problems. He "gets in the trenches with the troops" to make everything flow smoothly at Trade. The clientele is very diverse ranging from all colors, backgrounds, young to older, from straight to gay and everything in between. Not to miss is their Saturday beer bust from 3-7 and Sunday beer bust from 4-8 every week. Great location just 2 blocks from RTD route #1 or a 15 minute walk to the 10th and Osage light rail station. If you're feeling particularly energetic, it is a 35 minute walk from downtown.

Yelp
Denver replacement for the Eagle. Small. Thurs night was too packed. Long bar lines Visiting dj played music so loud it was painful and it predominantly sucked. Glad denver has a leather and skivees bar, but this place is too small and it is long past time to nix smoking on patios. Particularly when the interior space is so limited.
google avatar

Marc P.

Yelp
I stopped in here yesterday for a beer. Lovely bar. Great Touchtunes jukebox (you can play songs from the Touchtunes app. on your phone). Very nice and friendly staff. Some of the clientele are b*tches, but it's a gay bar! Hehe. They do need a sign out front that says Trade. The bartender said the owners/managers were working on it ...
google avatar

Aldon L.

Yelp
Just wanted to say how incredible the staff here are. Steve was welcoming and so attentive and went above and beyond to make our night at Trade "top-notch". Hopefully we'll be back soon!!
google avatar

Evan L.

Yelp
I love the staff here. They were so warm and welcoming. I didn't really know where to go since I'm from out of town, but this place was vibrant, fun, and had good music. Drinks weren't badly priced either.
google avatar

Georges L.

Yelp
So time to suck it up and say sorry for me knee jerk reaction to this bar when it opened (also some growing on my part). This and Gladys, it's cousin across the street are, in my opinion, the best gay bars in Denver. They are incredibly welcoming and the bartenders are rockstars. Juice and Joch always make me feel like part of the community and like you belong. Every now and then you get to see Chris is some sexy, skimpy outfit which wets the appetite! Drinks are always on point, music is great, and a really great patio. They have different events continuously throughout the month which cater to a lot of different people. Go check it out, it's worth it. And even if it's slow, have a drink on the patio, it's a good
google avatar

Kimberly G.

Yelp
Enjoy Chris and his staff. This is a great hangout with wonderful Sunday mimosa. Saturday beer bust support local clubs & groups. Pool table & old fashion movies are always playing. Great Gayboy hang out.
google avatar

Gerald B.

Yelp
I like this bar for the most part. The staff is friendly and it's a nice space. My main complaints are the lack of lighting throughout the place. I get the darkness is some of the allure for this bar but it's literally pitch black outside besides the billboard that is above the bar. I couldn't see 5 feet in front of me. Indoor lighting is reduced to neon red lights and a tv screen. Just too dark, and hard to converse with the loud music, which I mean it's a bar so that's excusable. The lighting isn't.
google avatar

Thomas M.

Yelp
Denver Trade is a great gay bar! The staff and bartenders are always very welcoming with a huge smile. The type of crowd ranges daily from a sleazy dirty Thursday underwear night, to brunch on Sundays, to even BINGO nights too! They usually keep their Facebook pretty updated with all of their events so if you're in town visiting or just want to know what's going on I recommend checking there. The same owners who own Trade also on a bar literally across the street called Glady's: The Nosy Neighbor which is also great to check out on my favorite night on Thursdays for their drag show. The drinks are very inexpensive at Trade and have a huge selection of infused vodkas as well. Best nights to go are on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evenings. Saturday they have a beer bust every week too!
google avatar

Wes M.

Yelp
This is a great new leather bar for Denver's expanding gayborhoods. I am leaving five stars because I see this place developing into a great space I could enjoy and had an overall great experience during my first visit. The staff is VERY friendly and the drink prices aren't bad! The beer I got was a little warm, but not sure if that was because the keg had just been changed or what. The patio needs some lighting and seating work, but I think that will all come in time. Overall, the space was repurposed well and I think it will be a popular hangout with a loyal following as things progress.
google avatar

Joel M.

Yelp
I was there for an hour or so. People didnt seem to connect with strangers. Bartender was very friendly though and they had a great special going on.
google avatar

Regis L.

Yelp
Niche bar for everyone and everything. Low lighting is functional here, bored, just look a little harder. It's not the typical twink techno bar. It's rough, leather, and DILF. Don't feel like wearing pants? No problem; leave them at the door! If things arent feeling as care free with your new freeness, just throw some darts into the mix.
google avatar

Scott W.

Yelp
I have gone here several times with good friends. Staff is very friendly and I think one of the bartenders came from the now defunct Eagle. When it's not cold out they have bar service on the patio.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
This is a great LGBT leather bar locally owned and operated love this place! The staff is friendly and fun make you feel at home had a great time.

Timmy P.

Yelp
So I originally gave them a 5 star rating but after getting charged on my card twice and having no resolution from them I contacted my bank and they refund me I bought two drinks settled my tab but when the bill came in they charged my card twice two different amounts and I explained I did one tab there and it was the larger amount I don't have a clue about the smaller amount
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
A very body positive gay bar! The clientele is a bit on the bearish side, along with folks inclined to a kink or two. The staff are to a man charming people!
google avatar

Bart R.

Yelp
This place has upped its game in the last year or so. I love the new patio area and the fact they can open up the fence into the parking lot for bigger events like pride, holidays, beer busts etc. Underwear night on Thursday is off the hook sometimes. The negative is the space is pretty small so not enough cruising in winter because the patio is not enclosed (outside heaters but chilly). Bartenders are friendly and most love their jobs there. Music is pretty good with live dj's most of the time on busy nights. This is a bar for mostly bear, otter, leather, puppy, DILF, gay crowd but anyone is welcomed. So expect it to be dark and seedy and not some high end fancy preppy gay bar :) The only issue I always have for years is the beers in a bottle are not super cold. It is time to get a new cooler or ice the beers before people arrive. Also when it is a big special night sometimes they are not prepared with enough bartenders or beer stations to make the lines go by fast. All in all a great place to be single and mingle..or just mingle hehe! Beer busts are good on Saturday and some Sundays. Also some great events Friday and Saturday. Reasonable prices, decent location with another gay bar across the street.

Yelp
Great new look , friendly staff, amazing patio and plenty of parking . Let's drink !!

Yelp
Great new leather/levi bar for Denver! Friendly staff, great space developing, and owners that care about the community. I look forward to spending a lot of time there!

Yelp
Came to visit Denver after two years away. What a gem. How I wish this was my 'Cheers' when I lived here! All the guys that work here are so personable and pour a mean draaank!

Clinton C.

Yelp
First off, let's get the best part of this bar mentioned -- Cliff, the bartender. My partner and I had two friends visiting from Michigan over the 4th of July holiday, and we hit up a few of Denver's traditional gay bars. We'd heard about Trade, and decided to give them a try. Stopping in for a drink and then moving on turned into nearly three hours there. The infused boozes were YUMMY, and the Cliff was the consummate bartender. The drinks were stiff, and he was a delight to chat with. We got a tour of the bar, and he gave us a great background on the place, and what they had to offer. We felt warm and welcomed the entire time we were there. And, one of the best parts -- we were able to order food from the Black Sky Brewery, and bring it back to Trade. We highly recommend it!

William A.

Yelp
I just had one of the worst experiences I've ever had in Denver. A few of us went here for "brunch." Turned out it was like a church basement dinner with paper plates and plastic flatware. The food was in very old chafing dishes. No sign of anything like coffee. The good tasted OK but there was no ambiance at all. The music was incredibly loud. None of us could talk to each other. Then they started to show a movie at 11:30. It was louder than when my grandmother was in a nursing home and everyone was deaf. I mean it was so loud that you couldn't make out the dialogue. There were no real tables, only high-top round tables which we tried to put together. There was a pool table, apparently some sort of outdoor space (but too chilly to eat out there). I needed to use the toilet and there was hardly ANY light. If I hadn't been with a small group (and was the driver) I would have turned right around and left.
