NYC Grocery Stores Trader Joe’s, Morton Williams Attract Criticism for Easing Mask Requirements | Eater NY

"Fully vaccinated customers at Trader Joe’s will no longer be required to wear masks in accordance with the CDC guidance; employees will not ask for proof of vaccination and the company is implementing an honor system while hoping unvaccinated customers will still wear masks. Workers are still required to wear masks for the duration of their shifts, and spokesperson Kenya Friend-Daniel said, 'We are trusting our customers to follow CDC guidelines.'" - Erika Adams

Croque Madam was delicious! You could taste the quality ingredients from the bread to the ham to the cheeses. Amazing coffee and Latte. I love when you can really taste the coffee. We will return to try some of the amazing looking pastries. Great service and quiet atmosphere. Good prices.

Another amazing location. One of my favourite grocery stores when we cross the boarder. Plenty of high quality products sold there. Most of the stuff are unique including the wines there which most of them are bottles for them exclusively. Also many spices and products sourced by them and private labeled for them. A must visit.

Your cereal is bad, I’ve never had that awful cereal in my life. It tastes like a cardboard and the milk gets worse when I add your cereal. Please stop producing that cereal, thank you, everybody deserves a second chance! You can apologize by sending me a good one, better than that imitation of cereal.

First time going to Trader Joe's and I was very impressed. Store is well organized and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait until the new location in Hamden Ct opens. I would recommend this store to all my friends and family.

I’ve been a loyal shopper at this grocery store for years, consistently choosing it as my go-to place for all my grocery needs. However, I’ve noticed a concerning decline in the quality of the products lately. Just yesterday, 07/5. I picked up a pack of black berries that I had to throw in the trash, I’ve encountered similar issues multiple times in recent months. It gets me really upset to invest my hard-earned money into products that don’t meet expectations.I believe that customer loyalty should be met with consistent quality, and I’m starting to feel frustrated with the frequent disappointments. I hope the store takes steps to address this issue because I would love to continue shopping here without the worry of throwing my money away.

I was very disappointed in a recent experience with Trader Joe’s and their customer service team. My wife purchased a chocolate bar and found two foreign objects embedded in it while chewing it which nearly broke one of her teeth. The foreign object could have been a serious choking or injury hazard. She immediately contacted Trader Joe’s, provided clear photos and a full description of what she found. While they did respond and admitted that is was likely pieces of plastic from processing, the resolution for us was underwhelming at best and felt extremely dismissive of the seriousness of the situation: a $10 gift card and generic apology. Really??? Does it take someone getting injured or worse before someone elevates this type of issue? I expected more accountability and a more meaningful gesture — not just for me, but to demonstrate that they take food safety seriously. I hope they do a more thorough investigation and improve their response to customer concerns in the future. If this is how they respond to someone letting them know of a product issue, maybe people should take their business to a company that truly cares about what they sell and the valued customers they serve.
