"The Ajika blend sold at a grocery chain is described as a convenient, pantry-friendly seasoning she uses alongside other condiments (like a rosy harissa, scallions and lime) to let everyone tailor a fast, rotisserie-chicken–based, pho-inspired soup—an easy shortcut for busy weeknight family dinners." - Ali Slagle

Heidi from the flower department was above and beyond amazing with assisting me today. I called ahead to make sure the flowers I wanted were still in stock and she answered on the first ring. When I arrived at the store she was quick to assist me making sure that I was taking home the freshest flowers. Even brought out boxes from the back with a smile on her face.Great to see an employee who loves what they are doing and isn’t miserable. She’s amazing.

The employees are really special and always have been. Today I mentioned my birthday at checkout and my cashier briefly stepped aside to say something to the manager, and suddenly they gave me a small bouquet of flowers. During COVID purchased several sympathy cards and they didn’t charge me., said it was on the house. Small store with a big heart!

Google
They have the most beautiful roses, only about $10! They smell beautiful and last a long time. The staff is also super welcoming.

5 Stars - Exceptional Service & Thoughtful Staff I absolutely love shopping at the Trader Joe’s in Florham Park—the fresh variety of food is always top-notch. But what really made my visit special was the kindness of the staff. As I was checking out, the cashier, Maria, must’ve sensed that something was weighing heavily on me. To my surprise and deep appreciation, she thoughtfully handed me a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. That small gesture meant the world. Then, to make the experience even more meaningful, Marie-Elaina kindly offered to walk me to my car and helped me with my groceries. Their compassion and care turned an ordinary grocery trip into a heartfelt moment I won’t forget. Thank you, Trader Joe’s, for going above and beyond.

Google
Everyone at this store are so amazing at work and just as people. I’ve had times where I didn’t have enough to pay and cashier payed for me. The other day D.J. At the front end worked tirelessly to help me find paperwork that is so important to me through its data network. It was like fishing done perfectly with a friendly soul. I will always do my shopping here.

Great place! I was here just accidentally one time, it was nice and clean store. Good products always. Big choice foods.

Trader Joe's Florham Park: Small, Sweet, and Super Staffed Trader Joe's is undeniably basic, but that's its charm. The smaller stores are always crowded, yet somehow, the employees are incredibly kind and keep everything running smoothly. Parking can be a challenge in busy strip malls, but the overall experience makes it worthwhile.

They say when you go to Olive Garden you are family, but really it is Trader Joe’s in Florham Park. I just want to give a huge shoutout to Alice, one of the cashiers at Trader Joe’s. She is always so sweet, kind, and genuinely caring. Every time I come in, I try to go to her checkout line because she’s consistently helpful, thoughtful, and brings such a warm, positive energy. It’s clear she really cares about the customers, and that makes a difference. Thank you, Alice, for being such a bright spot in our shopping experience.

Yelp
I love this store. As I often say, "the happiest place on earth is not Disney World. It is Trader Joe's!" Just want to say thank you to the kind staffer who helped me fine spicy, vegan pasta sauce. Can't wait to try it tomorrow with my Kaizen pasta and Tradet Joe's vegan meatless meatballs! Thank you!!!!

Yelp
Love Trader Joe's, but I don't understand why they can't source items from reliable vendors. When you only carry one item of a certain type, and you have trouble procuring this item, find a new vendor!

Yelp
PROS: very quaint Trader Joe's. They have good quality merchandise with a nice variety of stuff with friendly staff CONS: this is the smallest supermarket I've ever seen. No deli, seafood station, no food bar- other super markets are larger OVERALL: for simple shopping sprees I would come here but not for an overhaul

Yelp
Excellent cheese and cracker selection. I am also a huge fan of their salads, good price as well. I do struggle with the quality of the produce and expiration dates only being a few days and often goes bad even sooner. They have so many cash registers that check out is easy and painless. The parking lot is horrendous and always so busy. I just bought the frozen croissants which I'm excited to try!

Yelp
TJ's is a daily stop on my "to-do" list. It was my first time stopping in this location. I was not surprised by the large crowd as it was an unseasonably warm autumn Saturday afternoon. In comparison to other locations I've been to, it's not likely that I will go to this particular location again. But, I am glad that I had a chance to check it out. Highlight: the seasonal trio of truffle oils that greeted me a few steps after the entrance. Delicious!

Yelp
This store usually has what I am looking for and is organized. I would avoid Sundays as due to the location parking while available can be hectic. The reason for the 3 stars is I think that while the employees appear very friendly to some customers they are not that friendly to everyone.
google avatar

Yelp
My go to TJs! Everyone here is very friendly. When I was pregnant and had my other daughter at the time, my cashier offered to help me to my car- I declined because I knew it was busy there but thought it was super sweet! I think they are stocked well, the plus is the variety of flowers. My sister is an event planner so when she has particular events, this is her go to location because of their flowers.

Yelp
It's hit or miss with this location - sometimes the workers are so helpful and sometimes not. The food also, specifically the salad/packaged greens in the open-fridge section is most often than not in terrible condition and goes bad after a day. We purchased, cauliflower rice, shaved brussel sprouts, and lettuce here and when we got home saw already mushy brown areas and after a day in the fridge got soggy next day and had to throw out. Also bought mini orchids here and had to throw that out because when we got home mold stench was coming from the pot - took it out and the roots were wet and molded. The have the money back guarantee, but how am i supposed to keep these damaged things and bring it with me next time

Yelp
I just came back from the Florham Park store and have to commend the team, in the snow, for being full of life and eager to help. TJ at the front was out in the snow wiping carts and chatting up customers in such a welcoming and friendly way - it really started my experience on the right foot and immediately put me in a cheerful mood. In produce, I encountered Gwenda, who was just a rock star. She noticed I was looking for a bag, and without me saying anything or asking for help, ran into the back, and grabbed some paper bags. She explained the factory was backed up and bags were out everywhere and made sure to place a handful of bags in strategic places up and down the produce aisles. That type of strategic thinking and helpfulness is above and beyond. Finally, as I made my way to check out, Rob was my cashier - I noticed as he was pulling my groceries, he also had a strategic method of taking everything delicate and perishable first, setting gingerly inside the bag, and setting them to the side so nothing was bruised or damaged as the packed the rest of my items up. To top it off, my new BFF Gwenda was putting bananas away and noticed Rob bagging my things, so she came over to help finish the job and load up my cart. I have been a Trader Joe's loyalist for over a decade, as a California native, and I have to say this was the purest and most generous start-to-finish experiences I've had at any store. Whoever does your hiring and training at this store deserves as much kudos as the individuals on the floor. I work in HR, and I know all of these roles are so crucial to the entire shopper experience, and want to thank you and your team for taking care of employees to attract the best people for your stores.

Yelp
This is my favorite Trader Joe's in the area. They have a great selection and are always well-stocked. This location is rather spacious as compared to other ones, so I never feel like I'm navigating through a sea of people to get to the items I'm looking for. In true Trader Joe's fashion, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Every visit, at least one person asks me if I need help finding anything, which is rare in my other grocery shopping experiences. They monitor the amount of people going into the store and wipe your cart down for you, which is much appreciated. I just wish they better controlled the check-out lines as there's no system. Overall, this Trader Joe's provides a great shopping experience and I'll drive out of my way to come here!

Yelp
Love this TJ but my love for Trader Joe's is officially over!!! After decades ( from the west coast) of being the well informed's best kept secret... it's now a miniature WHOLE (RIP-OFF) FOODS! Prices are just sky rocketing every week you go back. So long Trader Joe's! You've gone from being a great treat to being an elitist mini mart!!!

Yelp
Ok is there anyplace better to shop at than Trader Joe's?? .. Rhetorical!! C'mon people this place has Everything wholesome and good for you, and some things that aren't so good for you but make you feel good so you buy'em anyway. Even their recycled shopping bags are cool and make you feel good. Service is beyond friendly here and everyone is so willing to help you find what you need it's ridiculous. I mean, I wish every store was like Trader Joe's it would be a much nicer world. Definitely would be a much better world to shop in that's for sure.
google avatar

Damian D.

Yelp
Reliable with typical T.J. strengths-the staff is ultra helpful. Who doesn't love it when they walk you to the merchandise instead of pointing in the general direction? It can get crowded though.

Patricia M.

Yelp
I want to shoutout to Trader Joe's Florham Park, NJ (604) management team and associates. I was in distress with back issues while shopping last night @ 6:30pm. The support & luv I received brought tears to my eyes. Love, love, love me some Trader Joe's!

Yelp
Definitely better stocked now that I have come back a few years later. They have a few more house branded (Trader Joe's) snacks and cheeses and a reasonably fresh set of spices (we were looking for basil) and fruits. Don't need to look for brands like Oreo here, you'll find a bit more international fare and while they have some odd selections (the frozen American-Chinese food), they have much of the snacks (Danish waffle cookies w/ caramel) that the family likes, too. And if you get a cashier that isn't too busy, they'll give the kids stickers. Uses paper bags, too, which is a nice touch - even the vegetable/fruit plastic bags are more biodegradable than other places.

Yelp
I'm upgrading my review, as I've become a regular customer for good reason. Their produce is always fresh, and far more reasonably priced than the competition. I'm still selective about their meats. Not a huge fan of their beef products, but their other meat selection has become consistently improved. They also have a nice selection of frozen seafood, while not as good as fresh, is a nice option for cooking at home in a pinch. You won't find many national brand items here. You will find "equivalents" that are competitively priced, and are often a healthier alternative to what you're seeking. It's TJ's own brand. Decent selection of gluten free baked goods (desserts, buns, breads, etc.) Not a huge fan of their coffees. None of it seems particularly fresh, as if it's been in the can for months if not years. Even the whole beans that I've ground at home come off as a bit stale. The check-out area is efficiently run. Most registers staff a 2 person team that will empty your cart, scan it and bag it for you. The bags are carefully arranged as well, so as not to damage your items. In fact the staff in general around the store is friendly, polite and super helpful. Most of them know where everything is in the store, as well as what items are or are not in stock, and what they carry in general. If they carry it, and you can't find it, they'll go to the back to make sure that they may not have gotten it restocked. Always ask. You'll be surprised.

Yelp
Always helpful, always cheerful & in this day and age it's refreshing! Love the Trader Joe's products but honestly continue to go because your employees make it a great shopping experience. Thank you for caring enough about your jobs to work with the customer.

Yelp
I liked this supermarket they have many options on organic fruits and vegetables, healthy meals and really good selection on plants and flowers and house decor. I liked the supermarket but I thought it was too chaotic, not organize and overly crowded. I love supermarkets don't take me wrong but I like places with an open concept and that are spacious maybe that is why Trader Joe's was not my cup of tea. Cute place I will definitely come back for dry fruit and nuts and I will try to come during a weekday maybe it will be less crowded.

Yelp
I love me some Trader Joe's! The staff in this store is very friendly, helpful and cheer My only complaint is that this location is small (no liquor lisc. Either) and sometimes the shelves aren't stocked...but that may be be because people are buying the awesome products off the shelf faster than the staff can keep up.

Yelp
Trader Joe's is the place to shop in the Florham Park area. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. When I walk it to the store I am greeted by the staff as if I am family- actually I see them more often than most of my family members! The food is delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. The sampling area gives shoppers great ideas for items to try before purchasing, preparation ideas and recipes too. Flowers are reasonably priced as are the fresh produce items. The refrigerated and frozen food sections have wonderful prepared items that serve one or two. The choices are plentiful and the nutritional content is good, many items are much lower in cholesterol and sodium than your standard prepared foods. I cannot begin to name my favorites as I would be here all day. Don't forget to look at cookies, pastries and coffee sections. Nuts, trail mix and healthy bars much better prices than elsewhere. Meats, fish and poultry available fresh or frozen, all accompanied with preparation ideas and guides. Try it if you haven't already, you will not be disappointed. If you can't find something, just ask..

Yelp
Love Trader Joe's - they always have reliable and high quality products - this includes foods, household products, and hoping to try some of their health, wellness, and beauty products soon. I love checking out their unique snacks - I am a big fan of the mochi rice nuggets that is only sold at Trader Joe's. I love the smell of their lavender scented products - ie, the dishwashing soap. Prices are very reasonable and possibly lower than your normal supermarket... and definitely much lower than Whole Foods. Every trip to Trader Joe's is a wholesome adventure!

Yelp
Super friendly and helpful staff My parents live a block away and they absolutely love it. I been to TJ's from jersey to California but this one is my first love The parking lot is a nightmare but not just bc of Trader Joe's.
google avatar

Marcus S.

Yelp
This Trader Joe's location was pretty good, clean, plenty of parking and of course free samples. I had hear that if you wanted to try something in the store that was packaged, all you have to do is ask one of the associates to help you and they'll let you sample the product. The workers here were all very friendly and one stopped what he was doing to go check if a product was in stock. I don't know of a whole lot of Trader Joe's and don't even frequent them that much but this one was a good example of what I would want my grocery shopping experience to be like.
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
As a California transplant (who lived in Seattle before it) I still chafe at the unfathomable New Jersey laws that prevent this Trader Joe's from abundantly stocking inexpensive and perfectly serviceable red wine. It's enough to make you question what your local representatives are doing with their time. Otherwise this is a great Trader Joe's. Big enough aisles to walk around, even when it's crowded; the complete collection of specially prepared foods; ample parking lot; easy to find; warm and bright. Get in and get out and go on with your day. My only other complaint is that it's across the street from the Starbucks, so I have to get back in my car to drive across and buy my coffee. But I recognize that that's just me.
google avatar

Debbie L.

Yelp
While I'm a big fan of Trader Joe's, I feel compelled to write this review in the hopes that management at this location and at TJ HQ will read and take action. Around 5pm today it wasn't too busy, I'd finished shopping and walked up to one of the cashiers with no line. I asked her if she was open, no response. I asked again a little louder in case she hadn't heard me...again no response. I tried one more time just for good measure and again, no response, and not so much as even a glance in my direction. She just stared at her register and punched buttons. Wow. This is a massive departure from my experience at all other TJ's I've been to in the Bay Area where cashiers are proactive about helping people pay and be on their way, and are happy and friendly. Racism and rudeness is not cool, people. We are all humans on this planet.

Yelp
The most dangerous time of the year for me to come here is during the fall because of all their pumpkin and holiday items! *As I'm checking out* Cashier: I'm going to guess that 6 out of these items are non-pumpkin related items *Rings me up* He's right! Spot on! LOL and I had about 30 items in my cart too. This is the closest TJ's to me so I'm always coming to this one for a quick pick me up (sometimes I'll spoil myself and go to the one in Westfield or Princeton because they have a decent selection of booze there.. can't beat Two-Buck Chuck!). Coming here always makes me so happy every time because the employees are fantastic - super helpful, sweet and they have great sense of humor. As much as I love TJ, it can be quite dangerous when I come here especially without a grocery list because I just want to try EVERYTHING! I suggest coming on a weekday because weekends can get super crazy. Try the free samples at the food station. But be careful, because you'll probably end up buying it! Especially when they make the hot foods, it gives me ideas of mixing items I never thought of doing. Thanks for the ideas TJ! I also really enjoy their cheese selection here too, they have a wide range of different cheeses that you wouldn't find at your normal supermarket even though TJ is much smaller (cheddar cheese with bacon.. what?! try it, it's delicious!). I love how there are a lot of healthy options here (natural and organic), it's nice not having to drive all the way to Whole Foods to get something tasty and organic. Salad prices here are also better than bigger supermarkets. I've also tried some of their natural beauty products and the quality is great for the price. Also if you are looking for an item and they don't have it, just let a staff member know and they will call you when it comes in stock :) I love how even when it's not crowded, the staff will open up more lines to speed up the process unlike other stores I've been to - you never have to wait forever at TJs. Oh and FYI, you can also use manufacturer's coupons here for the non-TJ brand items, duh lol. Highly recommend this store, just come here with a grocery shopping list or else you will make a big dent in your wallet, lol!

Yelp
The parking lot can be crowded and sometimes hard to find a spot. Upon entering the store is clean and well maintained. The shelves were well stocks and prices were clearly displayed. The employees were friendly and said hello as they walked past me. There is a large selection of organic produce and foods. The vegetables all looked fresh. They have a great selection of snacks and no matter your taste you are sure to find one you like. I have purchased their pre made pizza dough on more than one occasion and it has always been great. No alcohol at this location.

Yelp
Every time I hit Trader Joes I leave with $50 of snack food lol. Great friendly staffers and so many of them too, wish that every grocery store made it so easy to get help. And don't miss the free food at the sample stand in the back! The snacks are really quite good and surprisingly cheap. Every Cliff bar flavor, only a buck each. My family especially loves the chocolate-covered cookies, a bucket of those basically vaporize when they get home. :) I'm a fan of the salsa, the wasabi mayonnaise and the fruit-nut mixes. But it's not all just snacks, this store sells produce, cheese, raw meat, milk, olive oil and more. Even staples like laundry detergent. So you could actually shop here for a week and do just fine, just beware that snacking impulse.

Jenny S.

Yelp
Why three stars? Because the IDIOTS that OWN that strip mall have allowed like 7 RESTAURANTS to open in that strip with a small parking lot, where its dog eat dog to get a space! DO NOT GO AT LUNCH TIME! it really makes shopping there cringe-worthy. Every time I head there I get a bad feeling. One crazy woman actually backed into me while trying to escape the turmoil. SHEER LUNACY on the part of the owners! The PLUSES are nice staff. very helpful. Good prices and the Vanilla Ice cream is the BEST IN THE WORLD, better than in Paris or Rome! Decent breads, try the 6 carb tortillas and the vanilla cake. Good frozen foods like strawberry and blueberry bags at $2- each. The fresh produce goes BAD quick so buy it in limited quantities. Chicken Picatta makes a great fast dinner and the frozen mashed potatoes are great with it.

Kellie C.

Yelp
The cashier asked mom what her favorite color was. Mom said blue and the cashier said "you know what I'm going to do" then one of her coworkers came back with the most beautiful blue hydrangeas. It was such a beautiful gesture. One of the reasons this is such a huge deal not only because it is an extraordinary act of kindness but because my mom has Alzheimer's. She lost my dad, her husband of over 40 years and is now lost herself in the confusion of Alzheimer's. This stranger's kindness was completely out of blue. She did this just because she is kind. Thank you TraderJoe's for your amazing customer service as well as products. It was more than worth the trip from harrisburg Pa and the effort to maneuver my moms wheel chair around the crowded aisles for this moment. Thank you
google avatar

Yelp
I love this Trader Joe's! The selection is always abundant and the customer service is always above and beyond. Not only that but the prices are great and the food is the delicious.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
Can't beat their prices for fresh and organic food. The workers here are great and always friendly and helpful. This location gets tons of people from all the surrounding towns. Can run low on produce on Friday's and the weekends. I have spent many days looking for parking in their lot.

Yelp
My default location is in Westfield. But until they reopen that location, Millburn is my alternative, but a bit of a hassle. However, since there was someplace where I needed to be at in this area, and had extra time to spare, I came here to save a future trip to the Millburn location. This is an anchor of the Florham Park Plaza. I came here on a Saturday Morning. I was pleasantly surprised with this location. Unlike the Millburn location, all the aisles were spread out and not crammed to one another. You didn't have to worry about wandering through narrow aisles. I came here for some sunflower seeds and Virgil's Root Beer. I was able to locate the sunflower seeds without an issue, but I couldn't find the gourmet soda section. I asked a friendly worker for assistance, and he took me there without an issue. I thanked him and went my own way. The lines at the registers weren't very long (Saturday around 10:10 AM). They also moved at a reasonable speed (not too slow). The girl at the cash register had a pleasant attitude. Their credit card chip reader functioned properly. The parking area appeared to be tight. Truthfully, I didn't park here. The place where I needed to be at was in another strip mall. Because of this, I simply walked over to and from. As with any Trader Joe's, they carried your typical groceries (snacks, cereal, cookies, frozen items, gourmet sodas, nuts, raisins, chocolate, etc.). The only exception, however, is that they didn't sell any liquor. Overall, this was a flawless experience. I will only return if I'm back in the "Strip Mall Intersection" of Florham Park for another reason and need to get more groceries.

Yelp
Yay! I LOVE TRADER JOE'S! I love shopping here, despite how crowded it can get. I usually shop at my local grocery store (which is within biking distance of my house) but I will venture out to Trader Joe's to stock up on things like organic coconut oil (which is quite affordable at TJs) and organic veggie burgers and all that hippie-ish stuff. The parking lot is on the smaller side but I've never had trouble finding a spot. Check out is quick and painless (most of the time) and there are always free samples to snack on.

Vicki G.

Yelp
Great selection and staff! Wanted to write a review today after witnessing a customer give some staff members a hard time about wearing a mask. They dealt with her gracefully and calmly without causing a scene. Bravo!
google avatar

Gwen S.

Yelp
First off, what IDIOT allowed this strip mall to house EIGHT RESTAURANTS with limited parking? Seriously stupid decision and thats the drawback. You will have to HUNT FOR A SPACE if its near lunchtime 11-2 ish. great helpful staff makes shopping easier. where do they find these nice folk? the food is decent, some is low priced, some high when you look at the price per pound. I love the ready made meals such as stuffed peppers and chicken picatta. good frozen veggie and fresh veggie selections. Breads are decent, much of it is defrosted. try the low carb tortillas! great for sandwiches. Overall pleasing except for PARKING.

Yelp
I never been to a Trader Joe's I don't like. Staff is uber friendly and helpful. Cashiers are always fast and willing to open a lane to speed up the process. Paper bags are always offered, but come on now peeps lets go green and bring our own. Fresh flowers all the time, luv buying orchids here they are always priced so much better than anywhere else. N in case you forget to buy one they have cards for many occasions as well. There is a wide selection of everything totally good quality foods at a fair price.

Yelp
The only reason I'm writing this is because the Florham Park TJ's recently re-located across the street, and I just visited it for the first time today. I love TJ's for the same reasons set forth by the other posters. But I have to now pan this location because of this move. Yes, the store is slightly larger, but it's now in a strip mall with VERY, VERY LITTLE PARKING. This strip mall parking lot is shared by TJ's, McDonald's, a very popular Italian place (Nonna's), a Dunkin' Donuts, and several other stores. The problem is that the lot is so small that finding a parking space is virtually impossible, especially around lunchtime (which can last anywhere from 11:00 to 3:00). I ended up having to park across the street, near the OLD location, and cross James Street on foot (NOT recommended). Upon entering the store, I went straight to the customer service desk to voice my complaint about this, only to stand in line behind other customers voicing the same complaint. TJ's needs to have a serious talk with its site selection people.

Yelp
I love you. Don't say anything back, it doesn't matter. Just know that I love you. Oh my trusty Trader Joe's... you've been with me through some hard times. Like this summer when I went on an aggressive diet and visited you twice a week to buy: Cabot cottage cheese for breakfast, raspberry apple sauce, hummus and baby carrots by the truckloads, delicious honey roasted turkey, unsweetened kettle brewed black tea, almonds, cranberries.... I really need to stop. This place is the shit. I love the fact that the food is unique and I always look forward to sampling the new stuff. Four out of five times I buy it. Prices are reasonable for the most part except the fruit is kind of expensive. We only get our organic milk from here and I seriously love the iced tea. I'm really not sure what I did before TJs came to Florham Park... I shudder at the thought.

Yelp
100% the best Trader Joe's I've ever shopped at! I've been going to Trader Joes for about a dozen years now and I have to say that the customer service is highly commendable at this store. I've never had one problem with the staff as they are all very friendly. The turnaround seems to be great as well so there are always familiar faces and the selection of food has something for everyone at reasonable prices.
google avatar

Pasquale R.

Yelp
I wasn't overly impressed with Trader Joes. They do have very good prices but I found it to be lackluster in selection. They do have lots of organic options. Check out was quick. I would only return if I was in the area.

Rachita B.

Yelp
Parking here is tough, but that doesn't keep me from shopping at this location! They always have the best seasonal foods - including all the pumpkin items you could desire! The store is clean with nice and knowledgeable staff members. Lately, I have found them to be more helpful than usual, especially when searching for items that are in tough to find spots or popular items that get purchased off the racks quickly! You can also "reserve" popular items when they are out of stock or just call in everyday until they are in! It's pretty fabulous. I know all Trader Joe's are similar, but this one really is nice to shop at!

Yelp
The fruit/veggie section is a lot smaller than other trader joes. Also when I was trying to buy some berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries) they were all moldy. I bought Clementine's...only to discover they were all moldy in the middle. Don't go here for anything fresh.

Yelp
To use a well chosen phrase by Christian Bale "were #$%^^&* done professionally" I haven't bee to this location in quite a long while as I have been going to the one in Brooklyn and any location except this one. Friday afternoon I ventured out motivated mostly by the $40 remaining I had on a gift card (thanks mom!) what a freaking mess the aisles are so crowded with people there is literally no where to go and in some categories the shelves were bare. argh ugh. I have been hearing rumors about the old Barnes and Noble space on 6th ave in chelsea becoming a trader joes-space wise that would be more what they need but I contend they should have jumped on the virgin megastore space. Don't wait on line for a 19 cent banana its just not worth it.

Yelp
So nice to have one of these in my local area and across from my massage place. I haven't heard a bad thing from anybody about this place but if I have to say anything bad, it's the choice of vegetables and fruits....although you could find sliced up packaged ones for those who don't have time to prepare. Parking lot as this location is ample unlike some locations I know. My favorite items to buy are chicken apple sausage (these sell out quickly so we stock up a few), buffalo mozarella and pomegranate non-fat greek yogurt. Trader Joe's offers reasonable and unique food items. The mailer is immense with words and it's not your typical local grocery colorful store circular. Too bad they don't attach a coupon like 10% off your total order....oh...that's me talking marketing....I'm a marketer. I guess they are doing so well that they don't need to offer "marketing" deals. oh.. just discovered this at this store, if you have kids, the kids can ask for a free balloon of their color choice.

Yelp
When I first came to college I had a hard time finding reasonably priced organic and interesting food. I grew up with parents who only shopped at farmer's markets and Whole Foods but those places are so expensive. Trader Joe's is my happy medium. This Trader Joe's has a excellent selection. I can get all of my favorites like the jabanero hot sauce, banana chips, spicy tortilla chips, organic soda, and delicious pre-made salads. The prices are really good, similarly priced to a normal grocery store. The staff is also incredibly nice, especially the cashiers. It's always a pleasant surprise to have friendly cashiers. Yes, the parking isn't great and the selection is on the small side. I kept running into people with my cart and I had to wait a long time in certain sections while people made their selections but honestly it's worth it for me. I wouldn't go here if I were in a rush but if you're looking to try some new things, check it out.

Yelp
I love me some TJs. Everyone who works at this location is super nice - and I generally have a great experience - but the last few times I've been there they have been out of some staples that I go specifically to get there - like their Coconut Milk and Cookie Butter ! How you can be out of that? Other than that this place is great - but I hate whenever I leave there a bit unsatisfied.

Yelp
It's Trader Joe's. If you don't know about Trader Joes, ask anyone from California. Moderate prices, unique groceries and also a sort of anti-Walmart. Great selection of frozen food. Not so great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. And this being Jersey with the wacky alcohol licenses, so no two buck Chuck.

Yelp
I have to start off by saying, if I could give it 3.5 stars I would. Since my rating a place with 4 starts is like most people's 5's, you get the point. I find the choices to be plentiful. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. The lines usually move along nicely and I do like just jamming my cart next to the register without having to unload it. The prices for what they sell is mostly good, but be careful...you can actually get a few things cheaper at Whole Foods. Yes, I know that sounds nuts, but think about it. The Peanut Butter Panda Puffs that I buy for my kids sells a ton more at Whole Foods so they can keep their cost down. My two complaints are very specific to me. I wish they had more organic food. They have a lot, but they are less discriminant when it comes to this kind of stuff than other stores catering to the eco\health conscious consumer. Also, they need to stop offering plastic bags as an option for bagging. That said, I so really like it here.
