Excellent shop. Very big. With a large selection of food and other produce. The queue/line here can get very long and wrap around the whole shop! They sell canvas bags here! Staff are so helpful and friendly. It is worth doing some shopping while you wait in the line!! There are elevators, escalators and stairs !

Oh my favorite trader Joes in New York. Great selection, lovely freezer section too and a nice variety of chocolates and sandwiches Very clean and spacious store with really helpful staff. Good selection of produce and more!

The perfect grocery store, unless you want a name brand thing only. Extremely large underground store with possibly everything you need at low prices, very helpful staff, great quality with a guarantee (if you don't like they will take it back and give a refund). 97% of things I have brought from trader Joe's I have loved and I still have hundreds left to try and they bring out new things every week too. The only other issue is they sometimes stop selling some things to let new products come in, so if you really love something, you may need to stockpile it.

I typically enjoy shopping at Trader Joe’s, but I had a concerning experience with the store manager, Shavana. She repeatedly contacted me outside the store without my consent, despite me leaving the store. I have never gave away my number as well. It's disturbing. I explained that my dogs are emotional support animals, yet she dismissed my requests, singled me out, and unfairly criticized my well-behaved toy Shih Tzus as untrained. Additionally, she smirked privately while I explained my mental health conditions, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Her actions made me feel harassed and violated my privacy. Many members of my community have shared similar experiences with her. I hope Trader Joe’s addresses this serious breach of professional conduct and reinforces the importance of respecting customer boundaries, privacy, and sensitivity toward mental health. I spoke to the other manager Diego who was astonished about her actions and he seemed a little helpful. I will be reporting this to corporate should she ever harass me again. No one should be discriminated or mocked due to their disability! It's unacceptable.

Best variety and selection in most categories plus the best staff. While maintaining a nice level of professionalism they are very knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and above all FRIENDLY! 😍

This is generally an OK store, but I spent more time in line to the register than shopping, not good. They have like 10 registers without employees, while we line up for 30 minutes, and no self check out, something basic

Love my local Trader Joe’s! Come here several times a week. The store is clean, salacious, and has very helpful and friendly staff. Even when the checkout line gets long during peak hours it always moves quickly thanks to the several checkout registers. Amazing floral section, too. Only minor flaws are that what’s in stock can sometimes vary and there’s no cell service in the store since it’s underground - so definitely have a list of what you want to get before you go in.

Always great visiting Trader Joe's. Their selection of cheeses and dairy products is phenomenal. I also like their food options, like their noodle bowls, etc. Since Stuytown closed the regular grocery store, this is the best option in the East Village.

I shopping at Trader Joe's, cheap and great options here. It could be expensive too depending what you buy but definitely great price. I love the gala apples,crisp n sweet. I get baby spinach the most, carrots and garlic hummus.

This is one of the larger subterranean TJ locations. It is across the street from the 1 Av (L) train station and is usually pretty well stocked. On the few occasions where they don't have what I need, I can walk a few avenues over to the USQ TJ location as a backup. Overall, a solid place to shop for groceries in the area.

It was good for a frozen lasagna. Something that I was surprised off. It also has good amount of sauce but still need more and also layers of the pasta. Nothing like my wiife cooking but for a frozen lasagna it has a good impression but of course I put more type of topping to it thanks to my wife she tweaked it up but yea it's good and something to try

Trader Joe's frozen meals are single-handedly keeping me alive in NYC. $4.99 for a Shrimp Sriracha Bowl? $3.99 for the Cuban Style Citrus Garlic bowl?! Both pack flavor and an ample amount of food for a big dawg like myself. Every meal I eat out I have begun to price in Shrimp Sriracha bowls. "Damn this bowl from Sweetgreen costs 3 Shrimp bowls..." I also had no idea until just now it's spelled "sriracha" as opposed to "siracha". The more you know. Don't even get me started on the Mango Cream Bars that are only 110 calories each. They come in packs of 6 and it is a constant war with myself every night to only have one. "It's only 110 calories... but if I eat another one then I only have 4 left, I need to think of future me" the hero battles with himself...

We were just a few blocks from here this morning, so it was a good chance to pick up several items. We had to speak to someone at the Information Desk regarding something, and the guy was really friendly & helpful. Also, the check-out clerk was very friendly and he had a great sense of humor.

A great supermarket! not only is the food cheaper than your average target or stop&shop. They have healthier and better alternative's with friendly and helpful staff that are at your disposal. I've been shopping there for over 5 years and i've never once been disappointed!

Trader Joe's 426 East 14 Street happened to be handy one day when I was visiting the Lower East Side. I'm not a fan of the stores when I need to take the escalator or stairs. I'm usually carrying a basket full of items. This day was a couple bags of nuts so I didn't mind. I'm sure the people living in this neighborhood are happy to have it close by. It's still a hike for me to get to a TJ's. Maybe someday they'll open in East Harlem! Are you listening TJ?

I simply love this Trader Joe's location. They have so many options. You will always find the staff diligently working to stock the shelves, and they are so absolutely wonderful & kind. The staff will help you find what you're looking for. They seem very happy at this location, I assume they must have great management & leaders. A few doors down Trader Joe's, has an entire store dedicated to wine. This review is on my fall favorites at the food location. If you have an opportunity pickup the pumpkin bread, it is great for French toast, the maple butter Oh to the MG, yes that good! Also try the cinnamon bun spread, the pumpkin bagels, & cinnamon rolls. The pumpkin butter is my least favorite, it is not bad at all. I just have to find what is best to pair it with. Go get some pumpkin everything & welcome the taste of fall at Trader Joe's. Btw Trader Joe's prices are so economical. It is a food gem in this expensive city.

Convenient location but tired of watching staff let dogs in who end up sniffing and licking food. Employees don't do anything to stop it. Even saw one cashier playing with a dog and then handled the next person's food items without washing. Gross!!!

I will definitely pay more attention to the cashier's name..I did some quick shopping and she was very friendly attentive oh now that I look at my receipt it says MacKenzie R. Anyhow the store has wide aisles and was very clean. I enjoyed looking at all of the new holiday items especially the 12 days of beauty advent calendar This was my second visit to this location..if I need anything else I will be back

I used to love this Trader Joe's, however it's changed, the last two times I've gone to this location the checkout person has either been literally throwing my groceries to the area behind the counter where they store the empty/folded bags. This time the check out person Harley was very rude to me and gave me attitude. I almost started laughing cause I thought there was no way she was being that mean. But she was serious. ‍

I am very excited to have a new Trader Joe's nearby and the space is bigger than the one in Union Square and another huge bonus don't have to deal with the NYU students to do shopping. The place was very clean, the staff overly helpful and courteous and overall a great experience coming here. Did I mention they have also tasting stand too! The exit is kinda jenky but if your are of able body the stairs won't kill you but the lift is there too and if you keep going you can go up the escalator. I'm so happy though this they finally open here!

Generally this is a decent TJ location, but they get a lot of new cashiers that don't seem to get proper training. Had a cashier today insist on bagging his way (where he unloads the entire cart onto the counter before bagging anything, so things get rung up multiple times), so i said sure do your thing man. he proceeds to stick raw chicken breast into my bag without bagging it in a compostable produce bag as per protocol. I get home and lo and behold, the chicken package is leaking and there's raw chicken juice all over EVERYTHING else in the bag. i doubt posting a yelp review will help at all, but in case any managers see this, PLEASE train your cashiers to bag things properly.

I have always wanted to shop here. I have heard nothing but great things about this place. I was so happy to be able to finally get in here. The only thing that stopped me from coming here in the past was the long lines to get into the supermarket. Because of Covid they really restrict the amount people who can be in the store at a time. I have been to a lot of different supermarkets but I was a bit surprised that this place was smaller than I expected it to be. It really had a lot of organic and their name brand products plus great prices. I ended up buying some cheese and crackers. They have some very interesting frozen foods but I will definitely get some the next time I am around in the area with a cooler bag.

Not a big fan, but it is the closest grocery store. Some brands are pretty bad (peanut butter, bread, cake,etc). Prefer name brands. They seem to have limited selections of products. (One or two flavors or kinds). Very good fruit and other produce. Check out is quick and the cashiers are very nice. I prefer an all purpose supermarket. Must go elsewhere for paper goods.,

Clean and conveniently located Trader Joe's. The L train is 2 buildings away and a small Target store is on the next córner. This location has an escalator, stairs ase and elevator that take you to the downstairs shopping floor. The store is clean well stocked and the staff is way friendlier than the Union sq location - also seems less busy. I always leave with more than I intend to when shopping at TJ's because they have some easy to make and pre-made foods. Some of my faves include Buffalo wings, orange chicken, assorted cheeses and yep, skin/body care.

This is one of the better TJ locations. The produce is fresh and affordable and abundant. Their shelves are stocked with a variety of their classics and new goodies. It's a bit farther out so it's not as crowded as other TJ locations like Union Square or Chelsea. So if you're a TJ's fan and you want to shop in relative peace, this is the TJ's spot for you!

Trader Joe's is always great, but this is not one of the best ones. Security is a little weird, the cashiers can be a little rude, as far as the people stocking -- you don't exist. Compared to most of the stores in the neighborhood it's still a winner, but within the Trader Joe's family they have work to do. The design is really weird. to get to the up escalator -- in other words to leave w/o walking up stairs w your bags or waiting for the elevator -- you have to walk back into the store. No one wears masks but they usually have cleaning wipes by the carts.

I love Trader Joe's in general, but the store is a stand-out amongst its peers. That is because of the staff who are all polite, pleasant and go out their way to be super-helpful. They always make me feel like a valued customer and not someone who is just getting their way until it's time to leave and go home. It really does make a huge difference to my shopping experience. I am sure that this is not ways easy to do, given some of the customers they get in the store. Hats off to whoever does their customer care training.

This location is usually very congested and high volume. But in light of current circumstances the store has adapted, and has been making an effort to keep their staff and customers safe from what I saw. There is a wait to get into to the store to control the flux of customers, staggered 6ft of course. All the team members wore face coverings, and at the registers there are plexiglass shields. You as a customer are also required to wear a face covering to enter the store as well. I also noted them sanitizing carts after each use. It was well stocked for a Friday afternoon, sans all purpose, and whole wheat flour as the Whole Foods up the street. But I managed to score an unsuspecting find, instant yeast! Which is hard to come by out here in Queens, or really anywhere at the moment. They'll be extending their hours starting May 11 till 9PM. As far as the wine shop next door, expect the line to be a little longer. ;)

Love this location and workers. The store workers are very helpful every time I go there. It makes me smiling from workers they have a great energy. although there's a very long line, it moves so quickly. All of them are very affordable price. I love worker's aroha T-shirt so much!!

I just can't bring myself to give this place a positive review. The staff, who all hail from the Land of Misfit Toys, literally act like they're in high school, no matter how old or young. Customers are not the priority here...AT ALL.

I live the fact that TJ FINALLY made it to this location. Gawd knows I carried I don't know HOW many bags all the way from the Un. Sq, location to Stuyvesant Town (near 20th no less). So great. I don't have to weather the craziness & the freaking huge crowds at the Un. Sq, one any more (with the line going all the way around to the entrance door a lot of times). This is the same as I'm sure most TJ's. Well stocked (usually), great prices (on most items.. if you want a sweet - especially chocolate, well... you're just going to have to bite the bullet & accept paying regular - or more than regular- prices...). The place is kept well for the most part. It's bright & nice. Usually I'm lucky with the check-out clerks. I usually am able to strike up a nice conversation, & they usually know how to pack the grocery bags. Not today. Richard S. wasn't having it. I had to pack my own bags (that I brought in) & he even dropped something. After he apologized, he allowed me to continue packing my own bags. Nice. I thought they did really great training of their employees at TJ's, but apparently they're either not caring as much what their employees are doing out on the floor, or they've let the training go altogether. Anyway, I'm stuck with this TJ's, cause there ain't NO way I'm going back to the Un. Sq. location! That's fine though. This place is great for the most part. The occasional unprofessional cashier/newbie(?)/non-packer I'll just deal with, as I cannot live without my $2.89 Genova pesto & ready-made egg salad! No-way, no-how.... :)

Great stores. Full of organic section. Great selections. Close to subway. Nice to have in the neighborhood

No service since it is underground. Everything is spread out but small walkways so it can be difficult to move around during a rush. The line wrapped around but moved pretty quickly. The cashier was sweet and go me in and out!

Awesome location. Super friendly and they play great music, lots of hard rock from the 70's. Love this place

What an upsetting experience at Trader Joe's today. I'm still pretty shaken about it and don't see myself feeling comfortable returning to the store anytime soon. An employee backed into me several times while moving goods so my boyfriend asked him whether he was going right or left and he first flipped out at my boyfriend: getting close to his face and asking him what the f*** was wrong with him, and then followed us around the store leering and repeatedly asking what's wrong with us. Finally a manager came over but didn't really do anything so we quickly checked out. Sad because Trader Joe's traditionally has nice employees, although I just moved here so maybe the 14th street store is an exception.

Loved my experience at Trader Joe's. They have a variety of items to select from. Although they're lines are a a little long, they go by quick.

This is my local Trader Joe's and I love it (just as I love almost every Trader Joe's I've been too). Always a good selection of new items and old favorites. Line can get long but moves fairly quickly when it does. Staff are so incredibly helpful and kind. It is underground so there's no internet/cell phone reception.

This is a very dangerous place because you might wanna buy more things then originally listed on your shopping list. I enjoy coming here and the lines Are actually fast pace even though they could be long. I still am Unable to find some things here that I used to get at the other trader Joe's on third Avenue. I do recommend coming here for they are very comprehensive fruit selection.

Cheap prices, but a limited selection. If you only need basics it does the job, but if you want the slightest bit of variety, I'd recommend another location. Still three stars due to the great prices and nice staff.

Absolutely LOVE Trader Joe's! Great prices, fresh meat and produce. Staff is always kind and courteous. They go out of the way to get what you need.

This is by far my favorite place to go get my groceries. Besides their good food, products and prices their employees are super duper friendly and helpful. Plus next door is their wine store BTW I really enjoy coming here whenever I need to stock up my pantry. Pay attention to the limited edition holiday depending upon the season. I really love their pumpkin pancakes mix. Their newest addition is the everything but bagel sesame blend. THE BEST get yours before is gone if you haven't been here please made yourself a favorite and go check it out.

As a resident in this neighborhood, I come here quite often for my groceries. I've always loved coming to Trader Joe's and my visits have always been pleasant. However, during my recent visit on 9/13 I was shocked at the nasty service provided by the cashier, Krystal S. She was so rude, she acted like I was invisible by not giving me one bit of eye contact. Even when she asked me for how many bags, she sounded super annoyed and she proceeded to yell at me saying, "How many bags did you want?!" I did not appreciate this rude and unfriendly service one bit. I understand that people may have bad days, but it shouldn't impact how you treat others, especially at work.

What can I say other than I love Joe! The 14th Street location also has a wine store next door and it's really one of the easiest to shop wine stores in the city, everything I've ever purchased there was completely drinkable, and of course the prices make this a destination from almost anywhere in the city.

I came to this Trader Joe's for the first time today and it was amazing. Pauline's kindness and amazing customer service skills made my day!!!!

Usually have exceptional service but today M, Robbie (as shown on my receipt) took care of me today and went above and beyond! Thank you for your wonderful customer service!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Trader Joe's!!! Their customer service is exceptional and the food they offer is so freaking good!!! So many faves!!! Macarons, vegetable bird's nest, Teriyaki Chicken, vegetable fried rice, focaccia bread, gluten free bagels, and their cheese selection is through the roof!!! Oh can't forget, I love their beer and wine selection. Their almond sparkling wine is always on my shopping list.

I am a long standing Trader Joe's customer. I usually have a wonderful experience, however today was different.. While shopping at the Trader Joe's on 14th Street I was engaged by an employee named Walter who was absolutely rude and not customer friendly. The associate helping me at check out could stop apologizing for his rude behavior.. Walter does NOT exemplify the service that Trader Joe's normally provides their customers..

This Trader Joe's really took care of business this week, the week of the corona virus outbreak when everyone was panicking and hoarding food. Two staff people were so kind and calm, continuing to help customers and keep people in order. It was a pleasure and the management should be commended.

Trader Joe's was okay, not better than the Trader Joe's in Long Island where they don't allow customers to put their carts back without disinfecting them first. Not bad just not the great. All in all I would definitely go back.

Great products and staff downstairs. Popular items are usually gone by evening hours. I cannot stand the security guard (old lady with glasses). Power tripping, uptight, looks you up and down and as much as she can in your shopping bag. Sometimes shes either talking to herself or is on the phone using an earbud. If the latter, so much for being 100% present on the job.

I'm not sure if the staff are just generally too new to know customer service, etiquette, and manners, BUT I felt awkward coming here. The exit is strange, they want you to climb back upstairs to exit but the "Up" escalators are all the way around the bend back where you came in. Also, the lady barked at me when I went to pay (there were ten cashiers free, and she yelled at me to wait my turn until she called me, and to step behind the line when I was the only customer in the line??). Also, there was an African American gentleman following me out the door until I exited (profiling of some sort). Very strange TJ's in my opinion. Will not return.

This is my favorite Trader Joe's. Staff is friendly and helpful, store is clean, and pretty well-stocked most of the time.

Praise the LORD this Trader Joe's opened!!! I live blocks from another location, and as close as it is - I can't stand how cramped it is. I usually go to the grocery store with my toddler in a stroller and managing those aisles is rough, even early morning on a weekday. Anyway. This new location is awesomely spacious, has a ton more goods, everyone is super friendly (as they generally are all of the locations). Definitely worth the extra few minutes to go to this new location. For the other parents with strollers out there - easy elevator access right when you walk in to go down, and no issues navigating the aisles!
