Love this Trader Joe’s location in North Brunswick! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and parking is very convenient, which makes shopping stress-free. One team member went out of their way to help me find specific items and even took the time to recommend the best whole milk for making homemade yogurt. That kind of genuine help really stands out. The store is well organized, well stocked, and has such a positive vibe. This is exactly why I enjoy shopping at Trader Joe’s—great products and even better people!😊

Now that my kids have moved out Trader Joe’s is the place to go being that I’m eating alone.. I’m a fan of EVERYTHING they’re selling! The Indian dishes are amazing! People may think they’re expensive but I don’t think so! My go to dishes are the Indian dishes and turkey burgers the best I’ve ever made.. My 3 favorite items right now are in the picture!

Love Trader Joe's the price's is not too bad the staff is great close to home and I love the non-toxic detergent / dish detergent

Great place! Very accessible for wheelchairs and other people with disabilities. The staff is always willing to help, and in some instances the customers. I thought a customer was a staff once and she helped me with my whole shopping and didn't tell me she wasn't a staff until the end. Very funny! Products are usually fresh, the prices are a little extra sometimes, especially if you're on a budget. But overall great place to shop.

Trader Joe's is a great place to shop, just remember it's not a full grocery store. They do have things that a grocery store don't carry like kringle. That is the best.

One of our favorite locations to shop organic grocery. They have the best staff, always willing to help and walk you through the isle if you are unable to find something. They also have samples of new stuff. Highly recommend to try different types of cheese from Trader Joe’s.They have organic and gluten-free, vegan, you name it. Nice selection of fruit and vegetables too.

Carelessly, although the freezer was full, they took away baladi bread from my wife, saying one bag of 5 thin bread for each customer..., this was the only unique product attracted us to buy from Trader Joe's.. Keep all the bread for you or sell it to who might know how to deal with you..??!! Not going there again, Definitely Walmart will get Baladi bread too.. Bye Joe's 👎

Learn how to pack groceries. Why would you put a boxed item on top of a loaf of bread. Zero common sense. In addition, waited at the cash register for the associate to help another employee with a price check instead of actually helping customers. Went to the customer service desk as I walked back to replace the bread and the manager is just like “thanks for your feedback”. No apology, no saying that the employee would be retrained, NOTHING. If you want damaged groceries and to be treated like a doormat, shop at this location.

This store is great. They have a lot of good and interesting food. I like going here for all of the seasonal stuff like the pumpkin ravioli for Halloween. They also have a great selection of dog treats and even some of them are single ingredient and/or have clean ingredients. The staff are always nice and the overall environment is nice.

Everyone is always so nice here. They never seem bothered when you ask them a question. The epitome of good customer service for sure. They're like the Disney of supermarkets. Produce is always fresh. Good selection of food and snacks. Always come to TJ for my charcuterie needs.

Like the variety of food items especially the semi prepared dishes. Servic is always friendly and helpful. Glad they are opening a store closer to me.

I am fairly new to shopping at Trader Joe's. TJ is in a good spot. Very accessible, easy to get to with ample parking. The majority of the staff are friendly. Now many of their items are pricey. But, my biggest problem is I love their TJ Spicy Chai Tea Latte mix. I don't mind paying the$4.99 for the so called 10oz can if it were filled. I will attach the new can I just opened. With absolutely no exaggeration it is filled to half way of the can. I suggest don't waste your $$, misleading. I've purchased 2 cans , once these are finished I won't be purchasing them any further.

I came on a Saturday morning and was surprised it was not too packed. This store was very organized and did not seem to run out of my favorite items. The aisles are also wide so you are not bumping into other shoppers. It was a nice change from my usual Westfield Trader Joe's.

This is my first time coming to this location for Trader Joe's. They have a big parking lot outside with lots of parking. Cleanliness: They did not have any hand sanitizer or wipes for customers. There were garbage such as used water bottles inside of the store near products. Staff: They do their job but some cashiers need better customer service since some of them have an attitude. One of my friends got yelled at because he was taking a picture for his mom. The staff member could have been more polite instead of being rude. Maybe they should rethink about their customer service skills. This store is pretty much easy to navigate to find items and they have a lot of products on sale. The only thing I am concerned about is that they do not limit the capacity of customers and no social distancing. Overall: This was an interesting experience during a pandemic. I am giving them a lower rating due to the rudeness of staff members and that social distancing is not enforced.

Good thing and the bad thing about this store is the same thing - you cannot plan your shopping list and enter this store, as you will find more and add more to your shopping cart. We literally went on a shopping experiment by not carrying a basket or pushing a cart with the sole aim of getting just one damn jalapeño sauce. But we ended up carrying almost 7 items, carrying them all in our bare hands. This store has a great atmosphere that you can just be in the store enjoying looking at the various items and colorful murals. They have assembled all the best and kind staff in town all at this TJ. Ask any staff where an item is and they will just drop everything they are doing and take you right there. The staff at the checkout are always smiling and warm too. They support local businesses at their store and it's only fair that we support this store being a local to the Brunswicks.

Combine a smallish footprint and exploding popularity and you have the building blocks of human gridlock. However, once inside, the place just works without feeling claustrophobic. Over the years I've become a fan simply because I've never been disappointed at TJ's Their products are of extremely high quality and reasonably priced - a combination that shuts me right up. One of these days I'll really get in the swing and learn to weave my own reusable grocery bag out of hemp and run my car on recycled vegetable oil but until that very green day, Trader Joe's takes me for who I am. Five stars.

With a grocery list on hand, I always leave this place with triple the stuff. I blame that on their eye-catching packaging, their unique products & welcoming layout. As I pass each aisle, I like to browse to see what items I haven't tried before. Ooooh, what's this?? And in it goes, into my shopping cart. I would like to mention three of my most favorite products to get here: 1. Belgian Waffles - they are so good that it took them 3 months last summer to restock. They taste like you just made them from a waffle iron. 2. British Style Crumpets - similar to a Thomas English Muffin, these are even more delicious. Just heat them up in your toaster oven and spread that loving margarine, butter, or jam and you will surely thank me. It's one of my son's favorite brekkie to have. Okay, mine too! 3. Mac & Cheese Balls - OMG, believe me when I tell you that you won't be able to eat just a couple. Everyone in your family will be fighting for that last one. So cheesy and makes for the perfect snack. Sales associates here are always super friendly! Case in point, a gentleman helped me by walking me to the aisle where the item I was looking for was. He also took the time to show me the choices on the shelf. Now, that's great customer service. Plenty of parking.

This review is for how wonderful of an experience I had while shopping at TJ's during this pandemic. I've been to this location a great amount of times, and this was actually one of my best experiences! They are being very responsible during these times to ensure the safety of their employees and customers. Only allowing a limited amount of patrons in at a time... so, even though you may have to wait in line for a bit before going in, it's worth it for the greater good. And, hey, if you happen to go on a nice day.. enjoy some Vitamin D and fresh air. Once inside, it's almost like you have the store to yourself.. very few people which makes for a limited amount of anxiety (which I grappled with for days before heading out to the store). Fully stocked and clean. And I love that they have a specific process during checkout which allows for a streamline process... every other line is open, barriers protecting the staff, patrons must wait by the window while their items are being scanned and bagged. I bought so much that I needed another cart and another staffer came and helped me take the cart to my car. Now, THAT is customer service. I've always been a great fan of TJ and now their stock with me has gone through the roof! Wishing all of TJ and their employees well during this crisis. We appreciate everyone of you! Stay safe.

Middlesex County's first Trader Joe's store (and NJ's 13th) opened today at 9 AM to much fanfare. Shoppers were greeted at the entrance by 29-cent mini-pumpkins and $4 mum bouquets. The flow of traffic inside the store is clockwise, starting with produce and floral. I stopped by the salad selection to grab a Salad Palette Turkey Harvest ($4.99), which included a delicious array of turkey meat, roasted brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, sunflower seeds, craisins, kale, and spinach with an apple vinaigrette before picking three other pumpkin-flavored items and heading to checkout. Plastic red shopping carts are stocked outside while red baskets are stacked inside. The sample station in the far back corner of the store offered samples of warm butternut squash parmigiana, which is available in the frozen foods section. Checkout aisles are each named after a local street like "Ryders" Ln and "Milltown Rd", and accept all major NFC/mobile payment methods! I actually recognized some employees here from the Westfield store, and after listening to conversations learned that several of the store associates have been with Trader Joe's for years. Parking in the North Village Shopping Center is plentiful, but because of the store's location at a corner across from Chili's, the four-way intersection by the store entrance will create much congestion for pedestrians and motorists alike. (I spotted a squad car patrolling the parking lot, so if you like the feeling of shopping with po-po nearby, go this week.)

TJs can do no wrong in my book. I have been hearing rumors of this location for years. I was beyond elated to see the sign go up. I was hoping to keep the Barnes and Noble to make the perfect afternoon but don't mind the trade. Don't judge them for the no alcohol. Apparently New Jersey only allowed TJs two liquor licenses for the whole state. Those have already been used. There is currently a petition to the state for more. Be sure to add your name to it if you feel as strongly as I do. As for the store... pretty much everything I have ever bought is worth it. I didn't like one or two things in the years I have been going. Standouts for purchase every visit include: Three layer hummus Paella Coconut creamer Bag salads Peanut butter cups Chocolate chip cookie sandwiches Mini ice cream cones Orange juice Greek yogurts Chocolate chip scones Veggie lasagna Sweet potato gnocchi Roasted potatoes Mannnnnn I can just keep going on and on. Great return policy.

I love this place. Pretty much where I do my weekly shopping. I love that they have the pre-made sandwiches, wraps, salads, meals, etc., for busy people like me. Staff is always accommodating. If you ask them a question, they don't just point to an item, they'll walk with you to show you where it is. Check out is always a breeze. I wish they didn't get rid of the paper bags though. NJ only banned the plastic bags. I always re-used the paper bags in my house and for various stuff. I so wish they'd open a location in Woodbridge though where the old Bed, Bath & Beyond used to be. But I heard there will be yet another useless store there. Oh, well.

I like Trader Joe's, there are very specific items that we like to purchase there. Trader Joe's has a pumpkin bread mix that is by far the best one. That pumpkin bread is a staple at the Thanksgiving for my family. The orange chicken and kung pao chicken kits are great, located in their frozen section these kits are super easy to make and come out delicious. Most other items can be found at your local supermarket. The selection of meats, cheeses and breads are good but the prices are definitely higher than what you will see at your standard supermarket. Unfortunately they do not sell wine and beer at this location. NJ has a ridiculous law on the books that prohibits chain stores for having more that 2 stores in the state that will sell alcohol.....absurd. Trader Joe's was made famous by 2 buck chuck which is their house wine "Charles Shaw" and it was pretty damn good. I know the Trader Joe's location on Staten Island sells it. I have also heard good things about their beer...in any case if you are in the area check it out. The employees who work at Trader Joe's take pride in their job and it shows, everyone is friendly and anxious to help.

Everytime I'm driving on Route 1 I sneak a glance to see if the store has opened yet since they were shooting for mid-october. I'm glad I stumbled today to find it bustling with a crowd of excited shoppers for the grand opening. It was packed but nevertheless the staff was very welcoming and helpful in directing people to the products they were searching for. I even got a free Trader Joe's reusable grocery bag from one of the nice staff. This is my favorite store for buying food to make some healthy meals. They have a great selection of frozen times, raw veggies, granolas, tea's, dairy item's and many more goodies! You can find local brands, organic, and gluten free items too! Some of my favorites are the Chicken samosa's, pizza's, stir fry veggies, mango sorbet, pecan maple granolas, and coconut snacks! And there floral selection is also wonderful with $4 mums, and an assortment of flower bouqets ranging from $4-$10. I love the vibe of this store and will be back for more grocery goodies once I run out. Definitely worth checking out but there will be a crowd since its opening weekend for them.

This Trader Joe's location is always a hit. I rarely have an issue finding anything unless it's something that is limited or a new Tik Tok craze. The staff is more than friendly and helpful and will direct you to substitutes if something is not available which is great! I need to truly generate a list when I go because winging it has caused me to spend more than I need to but whatever!

Happiness knows no limits when I shop at Trader Joe's!! (especially when ear buds are in & listening to The Pogues) Though I miss doing my 1 stop shop as I walk out like a boss with booze in hand--NJ continues to harsh my mellow with this liquor law. Anyway- TJ Green Salsa Sauce- if you have not tried- get it. It's good on eggs, burritos, taquitos, tacos, steak-- oh ya-- very good on steak!! it's not super spicy. I make Mini-Me her grilled cheese with sourdough bread, pepper jack cheese and she dunks it in the green sauce, it's very good. love the ice creme selections - perfect for sunny days or just when you want a quick treat from the freezer. I love the tea selection and the coffee as well, the dried fruit I grab a few bags to add to my smoothies at home. Few things I also love and pick up to stock my pantry, the smooth peanut butter, whipped honey, garlic olive oil, pasta sauce, tuna in oil and chocolate almonds. Not as close as the Shrewsbury location but since I was in the area, ya know I had to shop!

This TJ is super packed during last year especially at the height of covid-19. It takes 15-30 mins to wait on line to get inside the store as they limit the number of people entering and in the store. They have signs to require customers to wear a face covering or mask to enter the store. There are wipes at the entrance of the store. Staff wipe the carts so it was a very efficient process. There is a plastic shield attached to the counter between the customer and the cashier. The cashier also let you stand by the wall away from them when they scan and pack your grocery. It's for safety and I appreciate the check out process. One of my favorite items were the ube pancake mix and ube ice cream during this past summer. Unfortunately it's a limited edition and after the stores. It's usually very busy and often some customers don't practice social distance such as stand 6 ft apart which was annoying.

Ahhh! I am so happy that there's a TJ's less than 10 minutes from my house. They have very good customer service. If you don't like an item, you can bring it back for a refund. It gets very packed here during business hours as it's a popular spot! I recommend going early in the morning or during the weekdays if you're lucky to be off. I can usually spend $30-$75 here on groceries though I don't go every week. I like reading the Fearless Flyer for some inspiration on trying new products. My favorite recent finds are the pumpkin greek yogurt, pumpkin cream cheese, and hot cocoa toaster pastries (wanna be-but better than pop tarts). Don't forget your re-usable bags so you can be entered in the bag raffle!

I always love Trader Joe's and my experience here was no different! This store has a different feel and layout than I'm used to but still awesome, well-stocked, and I was able to get all my favorites. Friendly staff and the store was pretty busy but I was able to get in and out efficiently. Located right off Rt 1 in the shopping center with Bed Bath & Beyond, Panera, etc. I would def stop by again if I'm in the area although I do think this is a high traffic area on Rt 1 and this location seemed to be a particularly busy one.

Has all your Trader Joe staples except for alcohol. Overall large parking lot and friendly staff.

I'm happy to see another Trader Joe's open up in Middlesex county area. The store was very clean, well lit, and open. Standard selection of TJ's products (and some others). Great quantity of vegan/vegetarian food options for a low cost. The employees made the atmosphere a great place to shop. The location is very convenient off of route 1 next to Bed bath & beyond. Plenty of parking in the lot outside. The store is fairly large as well compare to their locations. Unfortunately, this Trader Joe's dow not offer alcohol which means I still have to drive down to their Princeton location. First a dry Costco, now a dry Trader Joe's in North Brunswick area!!!.

Can I just tell you how incredibly blessed I feel to live smack dap in the middle of two Trader Joes?! I was slightly let down when Barnes & Nobles closed, but then the signs for TJ went up, that feeling quickly faded into the darkness. I eagerly visited during their grand opening, but it was a madhouse so I scurried out without purchasing anything after seeing the chaos and the lines that wrapped around half the store. I was discouraged, but the last few times I've visited were so much better. The store is spacious and well organized. Very clean and needless to say has the same deliciously tasty foods. The staff members still seem to be trying to get the hang of it, but they're so courteous and polite which makes visiting pleasurable! If you've never shopped at TJ, you must gooo! Like right now! Loads of options, especially for vegetarians. Before I was exposed to TJ, I heard talk that it was overpriced... well let me debunk that for you, it is not. It's reasonably priced - I'd say the same spectrum as Stop & Shop/Shoprite/Wegmans, but unlike any of the aforementioned. Unique foods for every palette! This location would be complete if they start selling wine and liquor! To my understanding only two locations in NJ are granted permission to sell alcohol and Princeton and Westfield already have it.

Having heard so much about Trader Joe's, I was super excited about the opening in North Brunswick! They have a lot of fans and I can see why! This store has products that is one step above your local supermarket. They carry a lot of (quality) products under their own name and they have a good selection of organic and other healthy items at good prices. We saw a lot of of pumpkin themed and fall themed goodies. There was a demo station in the back with samples of butternut squash parmigiana, full size pumpkin sugar cookies and a coffee sample station. The medium/large sized pumpkins were priced at $3.99 in the North Brunswick store. (their website says the West coast stores are selling them for $2.99 each). Unfortunately, the store was so packed with people, I didn't feel like going through the trouble of struggling my way across to get a pumpkin, even with the good price. Most of our purchases were pre-packaged snacks that sounded interesting and looked to be healthier versions of those found in local supermarkets. We also found half baked bread which sounded like a great concept. The bread is only baked halfway; you finish baking it at home! We haven't tried it yet but it sounds like such a great idea. The yogurt covered pumpkin spiced mini cookies are so good! And the chocolate covered pretzels are a must have! This isn't a place to do your weekly grocery shopping though. There wasn't a big selection of fresh produce. I was hoping to find organic strawberries here but was surprised to only find the regular strawberries. For now, this will be more of a "stock up on treats" place. At least these treats feel healthier than the ones in the general supermarkets. I will back when it's less crowded when I can fully check out the place!

So glad this location opened up! Parking lot is a lot more crowded than it ever was when Barnes Noble was there, but that's to be expected. A lot more car traffic, even while entering the shopping center because cars are stopping for pedestrians or waiting for parking. A bit of a hold up if you're going during a peak hour, like a weekend. The produce/ prepared cold foods have the most space, so you can almost browse those sections with more ease and not constantly be fighting with others to get a look at something. When you go further towards the dry goods, or even aisles of frozen, packaged goodies, things get a bit cramped and crowded. Then through the dairy and breads, it's smooth sailing since no one seems to linger around there. Register lanes always had people waiting on line, but since I came on a weekday mid-afternoon, the small lines always moved quickly and I never had to wait close to 5 mins to get my things bagged. Very friendly cashiers who seemed happy to be there, which in turn made me happy to shop there. Some of the food I tried: Chicken cesar salad -- lot of the salads on the shelves had watery wilted greens so those were old. A woman was restocking new salads and I grabbed one off the cart and those romaine leaves were dry and fresh. $4.49, which is not bad per se, but after taking out the dressing, croutons, and container of parmesan cheese, there's maybe an inch of actual salad/chicken. A very small and pitiful salad for that price. I'm sure they could throw in a few more romaine leaves and it wouldn't hurt their bottom line. Chicken parm/marinara sauce - excellent quality, filling, satisfying and a meal that could rival something you'd order at a restaurant (with a huge mark-up). I could see myself getting a couple of these for those nights I'm too tired to cook dinner. Shrimp summer rolls -- large and packed with romaine, shrimp, with a spicy peanut sauce. Chicken with coconut red curry- creamy, flavorful, subtle hint of spice. Again, better than takeout. Pre-made burritos were large and plan to try that next time with a container of guac. Spied some dark chocolate peanut butter cups at the register....totally getting that next time.

I spend at least two months every year in North Brunswick, and I've always resented having to go all the way to Westfield, or later on, all the way down Rt. 1, to get to my beloved Trader Joe's. In Las Vegas, there are two of them within easy access. Now the time has come for Middlesex County and North Brunswick to have the joy of shopping TJ's without the schlep. What a great gift to have it open on my birthday, October 12th! I love Trader Joe, or Giotto, or José for all the fabulous items that are offered at prices that often can't be beat. Braving the crowds on opening day, I was shocked to hear a woman complaining about the high prices. HUH?? Well, maybe some of the produce might cost a little more than the local supermarket, but many other things are an outright bargain. And some frozen offerings, such as the quinoa melange or risotto, make my life in the kitchen (which, I admit, isn't a highlight of my night) so much easier. I love the varied selection of items (though just like at Costco, I hate when a favorite ups and disappears) Are you reading, TJ buyers? Bring back the Cranberry Gorgonzola salad dressing!). Everything Crackers; Chicken Jalapeño Sausages; Vanilla Coconut Yogurt; Spicy Corn Salsa...be still, my heart! The crowds were impassable on this first day, due to love or curiosity, and the checkout lines were long, stretching up every aisle. But every register was open, and the wait wasn't too bad. The checkers are quick and TJ always opens more registers when lines get too long. The crowds will thin, and TJ's will always be a great place to shop. Long may it prosper!

So, last year we visited the first TJ ever in Pasadena, CA. This year, we were at the opening of the latest TJ store in North Brunswick. I say it's about time the area has its own Trader Joe's! Dropped by on the opening night and it was insanely crowded so we visited again to a much lesser crowd the morning of the weekend after. Timing is everything LOL. Store organization is about the same as the other TJs such as the one in Princeton. The walls are adorned with murals of local attractions from Boyd Park to the NBT High School building and the annual carnival. Checkout lanes have names of local streets. The store doesn't serve alcoholic drinks, I think because of the rule governing the "vicinity" to the other TJ stores selling booze. Damn you, Princeton TJ! :-D

I am not from the area and went in to grab a quick protein bar and drink to snack on. Once I opened up the protein bar it was rock hard which made me take a look at the Best Buy date, 12/19/18. The after taste was terrible and o couldn't even take another bite. This should not happen when going to a grocery store to buy food. I'm so disappointed that instead of the business making sure that their food is still good, customers should be looking at Best Buy dates on ALL food if shopping here.

They've done a really great job during this pandemic of making sure customers are safe and comfortable. Super helpful staff who are willing to help if you can't find something. Overall positive experience!

Always great. Smaller selection that larger chain grocery stores but TJ's will have enough from their groceries to their snacks and their frozen selection. I prefer shopping at a small place, it's make for a quick and easy grocery trip. The employees are always kind and helpful. Even on busy days, the lines don't take too long. If you bring your own bag remember to ask for a raffle. Some cashiers will give it to and but sometimes they forget.

I just posted a review on their website for the North Brunswick location. Every time I've shopped at this location, I am beyond impressed with how incredibly personable, helpful, friendly and apparently happy the employees seem to be. I also feel that when the management treats their employees with respect and kindness, it encourages the staff to be that way to others. I WISH all stores left me feeling this way. Shopping errands would be so much more pleasant. So, thank you to all who work at this location!

Went out of my way to check this Trader Joe's out! Turns out to be the closest one in the area & I was craving omg their amazing everything but the bagel seasoning! Always loved their set up & amazing customer service, happy to know other establishments are just as friendly! Besides the seasonings, even got some affordable fruits and veggies. It's right off the highway & many other stores around it.

The store is always clean, food always fresh, and staff are always nice. I love that you can find foods you wouldnt find anywhere else. I lovvvee the sweet plantain chips! The vegetarian and vegan

Located in the old Barnes and Nobles location on Route 1 in New Brunswick, this TJ is very convenient for those of us who hate the traffic and confusing entrance to the next nearest in Princeton. With ample parking, easy entrance and exit onto Route 1 and a less congested layout I think this will be my go to for my admittedly limited needs at TJ. {I love their grapefruit scented body wash and salted butters}. Selection and prices is as you would expect and service is exceptional..... customers on the other hand are your typical mix of Millennials striving for their safe place, Dreadlocked retro hippies in search of some Irie bee pollen cosmetics and overburdened mothers with overindulged offspring debating the value of organic baby carrots over Filipino banana chips for after Karate class snacks. Trader Joe's is great if not only for their eclectic mix of wares but at the very least for very entertaining people watching. Try the Grapefruit body wash......It make you smell Irie!

Nothing less than 5 stars for this store makes sense. Customer service very helpful. They aim to please. If they don't have something you have seen from their and asked about, they will find out. Management helped me out today, with a small issue I had with something I bought weeks ago and took care of the problem without hesitation. This store is run very very good. Hence the positive reviews. This is why I travel 25 mins away to shop here.

I always like Trader Joe's. However, there are two things that bother me. 1). If I try one of their special items or seasonal items they are not there the next time I am in the store. 2) they are always moving things around in the store. If an item I regularly buy is in say, aisle 2; the next time I am there it's been moved to aisle 4. I think they do this to confuse me, more likely it makes me wonder the store and buy more items.

Lovely establishment. The minute you walk in you feel right at home. It's so quaint yet so relevant. There's so many east freezer dinner options - and plot twist: they're healthy yummy options! Cauliflower gnocchi is the talk of the town. The chicken lime burgers are great. Everything is so fresh, even the freezer door! And the cashiers were whole heartedly the friendliest people on earth! Such a happy place! Just don't go on sunday afternoon/nights when they're packed !!!

This Trader Joe's is absolutely fantastic. The staff is super friendly, and not in a forced "You better be friendly" way. The product selections are always interesting and I find myself trying things I never considered previously. The store is not huge (a good thing) and the aisles are roomy (a great thing; you never feel you're in someone's way while you're lingering over a product). The checkout is very efficient. I bring my own cloth bags (you should too, and you know why), and if you do you can fill out a ticket for a raffle. Go there, feel the good vibes and buy the great products.

I usually love this store but the cashier today really rubbed me the wrong way. My adorable 4 year old approached him to ask him for stickers (which every other cashier gives to her so why wouldn't she expect that?? Because he wasn't responding to her, she came closer and he goes - can you get her out of here this side is for staff only. My poor kid has no idea why he was so mean but I snatched the receipt from his hand and walked away. I understand it's annoying but she's a tiny kid- so sorry she stepped over the imaginary line. Rude!

I am literally here 1-2x a week, it's in a super convenient location for me and the grocery store is small enough for me to walk in and out in 15 min with everything i need and more. I love buying all the different types of food and i love seeing most of the food organic but super affordable. The worker's are really nice and helpful. The only downside to this store is the lack of wine/beer which is whatever and during the weekends this store is crazy busy. I will definitely go during the weekday when it isnt as busy as it get super crowded and uncomfortable in the aisles with the carts.

It's a Trader Joe's. What's more to say? The prices are excellent and if the staff was anymore friendly and helpful, I'd suspect it of being a cult. Then there's the things only Trader Joe's has like Teeny Tiny Avocados which are perfect for single servings, the almond butter that actually tastes like almonds rather than bad tahini, and the REAL boiled bagels for 3 for $2.99. The prices are also excellent. It's not the biggest grocery store, but I can do almost all of my shopping there. I like to think of their selection as "well curated". The smallish size makes the whole store less overwhelming and makes it easier to shop. As Trader Joe's go, the parking is ample. The checkout lines are fast and plentiful.l, and they don't even make you empty your cart to checkout - let alone bag. The downside: no booze, but that's New Jersey's fault. New Jersey only allows up to two locations to carry liquor, and Princeton and Westfield are the lucky two locations.

If you want to be a hipster, go to TJ's for your groceries. TJ brand snacks are incomparable with regard to taste and quality. Want to make a good impression at your next office party? Bring some chocolate covered espresso beans, or cookie butter ice cream (which is to die for), or organic popcorn with olive oil (for only $1.99!). They are known for their diverse assortment of interesting snacks, but they also have a wide produce selection. Though small, TJ'S has nearly everything that can be found in any other grocery store. Admittedly, the selection is limited, and unlike at Shoprite, you won't find twenty brands of toilet paper. But the store has a friendly and homey vibe, reminiscent of Doose's Market in Gilmore Girls. The staff is so exuberantly friendly and helpful. I am always able to effortlessly strike up a conversation with the cashiers. When I asked someone for help finding a specific item, she told me to keep on shopping and that she would come find me when she got the item.

While I'll admit Trader Joe's is a bit on the niche side when it comes to grocery shopping, I find I can do 90% of my grocery list here at a great price! For anyone not familiar with Trader Joe's, they (for the most part) only carry their own branded items. So if you're hoping to buy Oreos, Tropicana OJ or Cheerios, you'll be let down. BUT keep an open mind! Their own branded items are in a lot of cases better than the "name brands." Their products are the best price for the quality, so if you notice an item seems expensive, that's more than likely because it's very high quality for the price. Your choices tend to be limited for any item in the store but you'll soon realize that's completely fine, the choices they have are amazing! I also love how TJ's is innovative with their products, always coming up with new ideas/combinations (their latest being the cream cheese brioche in the freezer section - GET THESE, my sister loves them). They're also great with dietary restrictions. They are happy to offer you a list of what is vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. They're always making new products to cater to these diets as well! I'm really loving the gluten free egg noodles in the refrigerated section. Then there's the holiday limited edition items: they have a whole flier dedicated to everything pumpkin and everything peppermint. Check their Fearless Flyer so you can see what's new :) I love the fact I can go in with a grocery list and get in and out in under 15 minutes. The trick to this is to go either early when they first open or later in the day. It's not dead at those hours but you do not suffer the impassable mayhem. The aisles are organized and you can get from end to end very quickly. The store isn't very large so that has something to do with it. Employees are always super nice and helpful, everyone that works there seems happy to be there. Considering they do not have self check outs (gasp! they want human interaction) customer service now plays a stronger role. I've never dealt with a rude cashier or anyone with a chip on their shoulder. This rounds out the great experience! Only real downside is they do not carry liquor (Westfield and Princeton do) but that's minor. They're also limited in terms of non-foods so if you need paper goods and household cleaners you will need to go elsewhere (I believe they do have some options but you probably want the usual brands you buy). Their produce is also iffy. Minus the bananas I tend to just go to the farmer's market down the road. Bottom line: give TJ's a try! You'll end up enjoying their inexpensive innovative products!

I love Trader Joe's and was so excited when this location opened up! I've noticed that across Trader Joe's across the Northeast region, the workers are always super friendly and genuine and this store is no exception! I was grocery shopping on one busy Saturday and asked a worker if they had any more chicken dumplings in the back. The worker wasn't sure but made it a point to check and get back to me. He came looking for me TWICE after that during my shopping trip to give me updates of the status of those dumplings. Unfortunately they were out, but I truly appreciated his service! Among my usual items, I would definitely recommend: frozen chicken dumplings (clearly a hit per the story above), lemon & white elderflower soda, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, sweet potato crackers. Also love that they have fresh flowers at an affordable price point!

Finally! A Trader Joe's in the neighborhood and boy was it packed. If you are a TJ shopper you are just as excited as me. If not then run over and pick up anything your heart desires. A visit to TJ means you won't have to go to another supermarket or speciality store. Inexpensive, high quality items are located on every shelf in every department. Excellent customer service and bring your mailer so you can get your free reusable shopping bag. If you don't have it didn't get one I'm sure they'll be more than happy to give you one (wink wink). Please please buy these 2 items. You'll thank me later. Cinnamon broom ($3.99 large and .99 small) Maple leaf candy (a little bit of deliciousness - $1.99 for 4 divine pieces) this is so so good.

Nothing less than 5 stars for this blessing! I'm so so so so blessed to have Trader Joe's in the area now! Now everyone be grateful and show some love! Lol but ok a serious note - opening and the past week has been insane. Huge props to the staff. They've handled it amazingly and I've gotten too notch service. And yes I have already been there 4 times even though they only opened 6 days ago .... #blessup

So happy this finally opened close to home. The aisles are much more spacious compared to the one in Princeton. The only exception is that they do not sell alcohol which is fine with me as we don't drink anyhow. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Shelves have been fully stocked and they have a great selection to choose from. Excited to keep trying everything they have.
