Not like how trader Joes used to be... employees are more...unfriendly and don't seem to care about the experience anymore. Still love my trader joes items but the crew can step up a bit.

A nice atmosphere that gives you the feeling of experiencing both the market and the bazaar together. Employees who show you where the products are (one employee didn't dismiss them by saying, "Check the aisle or they're out of stock"), a nice variety of products. I liked shopping here.

I really like this store, but I’m giving one star because of a bad customer service moment. I was in the middle of a conversation with my girlfriend when an employee suddenly interrupted in a rude way. I’m still not sure why. After that, they laughed and told another worker to stay clear, which just made the whole situation feel awkward and uncomfortable. I will say the manager was great and took the time to apologise, which I appreciated. Still, no one should feel uneasy just trying to do their grocery shopping.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are always willing to accommodate your questions and requests. We like the variety of products. The only issues are the crowded ailes and sometimes certain products are difficult to keep stocked on the shelves. I usually get the "it's on the truck and it will be here tonight answer". But that's ok because overall it's a great experience in the store.

Healthy food options. Well stocked, friendly staff and reasonable prices. I love this place! I spent a good 45 minutes walking down all the isles looking for what I needed. Still getting used to the different food packaging than I’m used to at the larger supermarkets.

A great spot for grocery shopping with reasonable prices. Going there is always a delightful experience! It's like stepping into Trader Joe's charm every time, with the staff being so warm and friendly.

Had an incredibly pleasant experience at this Trader Joe’s. Gus was very helpful, kind, and patient. I will be returning soon.

Can a business get better and better every year? Absolutely. This is my third 5 star review and tribute of/to this Trader Joe's location in 6 years. I have been a sporadic customer in the last 3. I call them old and dear friends now. I have known these employees( some) since 2018 and when I walked in 20 days ago and saw the terrific Teresa by the produce section, we caught up on our families and life as she was putting out the salads. Gigi ( the G pronounced like in Give) was 15 feet away and I got a big hug and we talked about working out and our diets. Steve spotted me with Gigi and came over and wished me. There are smiles everywhere and a fun atmosphere as the new employees saw this and fed off the energy and the tone. My namesake Ray also hugged me and asked about my Mom. Elena the Manager is the absolute best - she personally catered( from her pocket) a meal for homeless Veterans in NY in 2023. The products are amazing- yes. The variety and quality is tremendous We all know that. The prices are awesome. The managers and team in this store are the X factor and any newbie dropped into this environment of Veteran employees in the para above are going to rise to the top. I love that they keep moving the greeting card rack. Love that sampling is back.( waiting for the coffee). Love bringing in my out of state TJ bags and entering the $25 raffle. Their avocados are the best. The flowers last. So does their love and care- it stays!

5 stars for the Danmark bread and customer service. I only buy EU bread because of simple original ingredients. This Danmark bread I found at TJ is fabulous! The other EU bread I find amazing are German made and Swedish made at LIDL. Prices even beat TJ's. Customer service has been known the best among all supermarkets. You can ask for sampling any food in the store. They always gladly do so! The store brand omega3 rich eggs are great too.

Convenient location in Plainview Shopping Centre for Trader Joe's with free parking shared across all the stores. Take a shopping cart before entering the store or pick up a shopping basket. This store is smaller than to others that I've been to but has most of the items when I need to get them here. Came here on a weekend and surprisingly not as crowded on a rainy day as normally is. Vegetables fruits and all as you enter. Aisles are marked so it's easy to find what you need, Came to pick up a organic carrots which are always .99/lb. Staff is friendly and helpful if you are looking to find something in particular. TJ's also sells their own reusable bags and re-usable cooler bags too, which comes in handy to keep food cool especially in the summer. Checkout is fairly quick with plenty of cashiers, friendly and helpful. They don't charge for paper bags here like they do in the city, which is a plus.

I LOVE Trader Joe's - they have such unique foods and easy to prepare frozen meals too- ranging from whole lunch and dinner options to desserts. Service is so fast and efficient- all of the workers i've interacted with thus far at this location have been pleasant and helpful. I also really appreciate that they not only provide paper bags for the groceries but also pack them for the customer!! Inside of the store, it can get tight sometimes with the number of customers and tightly packed aisles. Overall though, it has a cute feel in there with the decor!

This Trader Joe's is well stocked, well staffed, and well organized. On my most recent visit, I came in during lunch time on a weekday to pick up a few snacks. I was delighted to find a great selection of sunscreen and lotion in addition to my food. I also grabbed some refrigerated drinks and spices. Trader Joe's is also a great stop for frozen meals (sometimes you need it!), and the veggies, Indian food, and cheese spiral are some of my favs. There is a lot of parking in this shopping center. There are a lot of cashiers, although things can get pretty busy at peak times.

Some of my favorite items here are: (1) coffee bean ice cream, (2) Aussie chocolate cookie, (3) honey roasted peanuts, (4) grass-fed organic whole milk, just to name a few. I'm definitely a loyal customer of this store!

Great food, reasonable prices, good variety of products to make shopping pleasurable. Love their pastries, the chocolate covered almonds and great to even pick up a plant or two. I really enjoy this supermarket!

They have crutch holders I love Trader Joe's but this was the icing on the cake! . Everyone is so nice there. I usually go to thr westbury location but it's ALWAYS so crowded. But not here!

I like how you can go in and out at this Trader Joe's within 30 mins or less. They have holiday items in stock but sometimes run low on basic groceries, such as flour. The staff can put your name on a call list and when your item comes back in stock, they will call you and set it aside so it doesn't run out before you are able to make it back to the store. I appreciate this courtesy as it is disappointing to make 2-3 trips to Trader Joe's for an item and leave empty handed.

Thanks Covid for f'ng up our world. Lady at the door HANDING people wipes that she touched. Not sure of that but their trying So no thanks but thank you. Plainview is a Nassau hub and it shows. Lines out the door but not for me. I haven't been here since Feb. Today got here early 9 ish when back up island. No lines. Thought it was improving. When done saw outside the lines had formed. Our covid breadlines. Thanks TJs and employees for being part of the supply chain. Reliable for my mothers favorite mixed color organic carrots and for my good friends dark Belgian chocolate. Some small ciabatta roll. Nothing really needed. But was glad to see the inside of a Trader Joe's again.

We love stopping at this Trader Joe's on our way east to stock up up on food essentials. Plus there are always new, tasty and novel items to try and buy. Be sure to stop by the sample booth in the rear corner of the store to try the featured item of the day and to grab a small cup of the coffee du jour. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh. In our cart you will always find: Bananas for 19¢ and Fuji Apples for 69¢ ea. Milk from TJ's will usually outlast what we would normally get at our neighborhood supermarket, sometimes as long as 2 weeks. I like many of the unusual snacks they stock that aren't normally sold at regular stores. Most items are Trader Joe's branded and exclusive to TJ's. Their fresh flowers are always stocked and priced very reasonably. I like that they do not price gouge on special holidays like Valentines or Mothers Day, so you can still get a bunch of roses for your honey or your mommy and not break the bank. They also have potted plants in the Spring and orchids almost year round. Even during busy times, the checkout lines move pretty fast, so you can get in and out quickly. The huge parking lot is also a plus, so it's always a pleasure to drive out here. Don't forget to bring your reusable shopping bags and to enter the weekly drawing for the TJ's gift card!

I would give the meat lasagna 3 stars . Foodie says 3 1/2 stars. Let's go with 4 stars I don't know how to give half a star. Everything about this lasagna was delicious. We only can compare it with BJ's where you get two trays of lasagna. Foodie votes for Trader Joe's as the best. I find BJ's equal. Foodie does the food shopping these days. Yelpers I enjoyed the meal and took a photo to share.

This store is always busy, but the service is always fast. This Trader Joe's is a neighborhood grocery store with unusual food and liquids from all over the world. They provide quality of foods rather than just ordinary. I must admit I always found something unusual that draws me to the store.

This is a much smaller TJ's and it's way too crowded in the store. People are wearing masks but not social distancing! We waited outside in the heat but they weren't controlling how many people were in the store so 3 stars.

I went here on a busy Sunday expecting to wait in long lines and not get everything I needed. However, I was surprised by the workers' efficiency, considering there were huge lines. I came out of Trader Joe's with everything I needed and more. The food bagger at the register was so kind and helpful when handing me my groceries. I love going to Trader Joe's because their food is delectable, affordable, and healthy. The store itself was very clean and well-decorated. I enjoy the wood features throughout the establishment. For groceries, I recommend going here!

Always the best sales help. Plainview Trader Joe's is always clean and well stocked. Lines move quick and the sales associates are always eager to be helpful.

This place brings me genuine joy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and will quite literally stop what they're doing to help you. If you ask where something is, an employee will walk you over to the item to ensure you know where it is and help you find it. It's also always clean and organized.

Trader Joes are around in different locations. This one is off of South Oysterbay Road not far from Woodbury Road in Plainview. They do have some specific things and, they have changed some things around. I like the frozen vegetable selections, I note for those who are Vegan there is a fairly good selection as well. The cold box cereals have been narrowed down to smaller selections. Not sure if it is a sign of the times, the weather or corporate decision. Yet there were still a few to choose from. I like the efforts from the company view of workers. They seem to focus on being friendly and helpful, not only for the customers but efforts from the employees to the employees. (granting the fact that different people have different personalities) What I saw last time was rather nice. A young man asked the cashiers what kind of music they like. (there is piped in music through the speakers) . I thought that was nice that he made the effort to ask as well as to learn what they do like. Ok, so it was a small thing and maybe, I am making more of it then it is, But, I thought it was nice. The cashiers have always been pleasant and helpful to me. They will bag things and seem pleased if I choose not to use bags or have my own. Something else - that I came across the last two times I was there, (see pix) Seems they have combined efforts with a company which has an app one can download. I asked in more detail what it is and how it works. One young lady assisted me to put it on my phone. Ok, and what is its purpose I asked. It seems, for autistic or sensitive people, they can get an idea of what is inside the store and prepare themselves before coming. Its called magnuscards. and orange square face companion and guide in everyday living. (see pix) Upon entering, one sees a chalk board from Trader Joes that notes they are pleased to announce a partnership with Magnusmode. It notes that it is a free app. "dedicated to making the world more accessible for people with intellectual and cognitive disabilities." One downloads the app and then creates an account. I find it interesting that they reach out through such a network to perhaps assist further with those in need. It does seem to follow their good customer relations policy as well.

I have a lot of Hispanic family and friends that shop here but this nothing against this specific store but does anyone putting this stuff out ever think wow this is wild racist. Or it's just a matter of not giving a fuck about offending people?

Less magical then all the other Trader Joe's. All Trader Joe's deserve 5 starts bc their food is so good and they offer a lot of organic and non processed foods, but I cannot because many popular items are out of stock each time I go. The other main reason is they did away with their penguin (I heard since Covid) for my kids to find and it brings so much joy to my kids each time at Trader Joe's. Bring back the hiding animal for the kids to enjoy!

This is the only Tj's we go to - forget the horribly busy Garden City location - not worth the aggravation! We usually go early Saturdays and there's plentiful parking and it's never crowded inside. The store is on the smaller side but they have everything you're used to getting with a TJ. Service is to be as expected - always efficient and courteous - the trademark of Trader Joe's. 4 Stars is excellent and not a 5 here because that's for exceptional and this is a good TJ's but nothing different or special per se.

My favorite Trader Joe's. Probably the biggest store and nice size parking lot easy to get in and out especially on a week night. During the day it does get crowded. Not the closest one to me but I always stop in when I'm in the area and pick up my favorite items. The Indian meals and Naan are great. Stuffed grape leaves are the best store bought grape leaves and only $2.99 made in Greece. Good salsas and hot sauces. Lot's of quality frozen dinners. I do avoid the baked goods since I had several bad experiences with moldy breads after one or 2 days. They also have a good selection of soy products and real meat sausages. One thing that bothers me lately is where some of this stuff is made. They have a bad habit just printing distributed by Trader Joe and listing their corporate address. When I see that I assume the product is made in China and not for me. The grape leaves clearly show made in Greece. Same with the India products clearly state Made in India. If you don't mind pesticides and rocket fuel in your food then go ahead and buy the Chinese made food products.

I really never try and point out the negativity of sales clerks but I'm really getting tired of the negativity of a particular female employee at the plainview location who I would say has too much free time on her hands while the rest of staff is working hard filling shelves . She is not there too help people but too criticize customers . She is a older women with brown curly shoulder length hair, who every week when I shop there she is complaining or nosing around what others are doing . So that just says too me if you don't like your job then quit ...she should be working and focusing on the store needs rather then what others are doing and asking why there masks are slipping under there nose...

What isn't there to love about Trader Joe's! It's like a foodie's Christmas morning every time I walk through the doors! The staff in my local store are always super friendly and even give me recs which have become some of new favorites! Their fresh flowers and plants section is always updates and I love picking up or even making my own flower arrangements with their individual selections. Moving onto fresh fruits, veggies etc. Great quality and definitely falls in the middle price wise between big chain grocery stores but definitely not as exorbitant as Whole Foods. I love their selections and they are always fresh and tasty! I've never picked up a bad fruit or veggie here...... Ever. Cheese, dips, snacks, cereals are reasonably priced and there are select items that always end up in my cart during the TJ's shopping trip! Maybe I'll make a second review with all my favorites?!? Yay or nay?! The meat section is decent, and can sometimes be a bit overpriced but generally is good for the quality, but maybe not the quantity. I will say, again, it is super fresh, but their selection may be slightly limited compare to other bigger stores. Lastly, the frozen foods, and baked good sections. This is where I would love to live. I am not particularly a processed foods/frozen foods girl. But I honestly cannot tell a huge difference! They do a great job and when unfrozen tastes like it just came off the stove or out of the oven! They do a great job curating the products in this section and for those days you just can't bring yourself to cook, these are perfect! They even have some amazing vegetarian and vegan products that I sometimes buy for friends and family who do not eat meat (like myself). Great selection and always end up finding new gems! Come for the delicious food, stay for the adventure and discovery of new product finds! 5/5 would recommend. 5/5 likely need help for my TJ's obsession.

I'm so upset my favorite food store is lacking fresh quality foods lately. I have been shopping here for years but lately I've seen a decrease in quality. I bought avocados, bananas and pears last week and all three looked like they were ripe on the outside but once you cut into them , the bananas were rotten , the pears were not ripe in the center and pears were not ripe in the center but rotten on the exterior . This would usually happen if a fruit was frozen at one point , are they holding these items in the cold? This has happened to me lately each week I go there . I think it's time to move on a shop somewhere else .

I was shocked at how fast the check out process was at the trader Joe's. This felt like a hidden, undiscovered Trader Joe's. Most Trader Joe's in NYC/LI are incredibly busy. This location had a handful of people there, and we were able to be in and out with everything we need, right before the crazy thunderstorm hit. That's a feat, with two toddlers constantly grabbing for things in the isles lol. This place is like a wonderland to them. And my 3yr old is always on the hunt for the infamous Koala. We didn't find him this time. Some of the sections here are not as big as some of the other Trader Joe's. Which led me to think maybe this is a smaller store, even though it didn't seem that way to me. Nonetheless, everyone was super nice, super helpful, and I had the same great experience that I have at every Trader Joe's, just faster. They really are the best grocery store around.

Have always loved this supermarket. Speciality supermarket is actually what I would call it. I love that it's right around the block from my house. Very convenient location...for me anyway! Trader Joe's carries all different types of food to fit your diet/lifestyle. Gluten free, dairy free, soy free, vegan, vegetarian, etc...whatever your diet needs are you can absolutely find something here! Everything is absolutely delicious! You can also SAMPLE ANYTHING in the store FOR FREE as long as it isn't frozen. So if you aren't sure if you will like something you can absolutely try before you buy! All the staff is always so friendly and smiling when I shop here. They are all helpful and will help you find what you are looking for. Sometimes things get moved to another part of the store. But there's always a friendly employee that will help me find what I'm looking for. If something I'm looking for isn't in stock they will tell me when their next delivery is so that I can come in. Sometimes things get discontinued due to low sales or low interest in the product...so don't be surprised if your favorite item can never be found again. Prices are pretty reasonable. Parking is meh. The parking lot is always crowded and people never put their shopping carts back. So on a windy day carts are "free and wild" and sometimes hit parked cars.

After finding out some crazy news I was on an official witch hunt. My local TJ's was already out of the item I wanted and I was ready to search high and low for my fix. Wanna hear about the said item witch hunt... keep reading. Turns out on my second to last trip? Maybe even third to last trip to TJ's of Lake Grove I found out my Wasabi Mayo was discontinued for the 2nd time around. When I heard this... I was devastated. I make certain things with it. Like chicken salad, tuna salad, tuna steaks just to name a few. So my original plan was while I was in Mineola for the YEE I'd go to my other TJ's in Westbury. Fortunately/Unfortunately I was not able to make it to that TJ's in time as the YEE wrapped up later than expected. So I was ready for my witch hunt to call other stores since I needed my fix. Lucky for me they had it in Plainview and I kindly asked if they'd hold two jars of this stuff which they did. Man when I was working in Garden City do you know how many times I cut down S. Oyster Bay Road to get to Old Country Road or vice versa to get closer on the NSP or LIE?! Countless of times. Why have I never stopped in here before or after work is truly beyond me. I know I love Trader Joe's. I don't have a favorite location as of yet. I do love that Lake Grove is approximately 10 minutes from me. But I did love the fact that this store seemed a little bigger and I found new goodies to try on top of purchasing the wasabi mayo. Writing this review now is reminding me to contact customer service to tell them to bring back Wasabi Mayo. If you love it too contact them. I was told that's why they brought it back the second time because people in droves were so upset it was gone. Anyway... would I come back to this store if I'm in the area?! You betcha!!! There's something for everyone at Trader Joe's!

Love Trader Joe's.!!! You name it they have it. Good quality food and delicious. **They alway have complimentary Coffee and Samplers** I Always buy what they are advertising, they just know how to put good tasting products together. They have Organic produce and always fresh flowers, bouquets as low as $3,I get one every week for the house to make it feel a little less winterishhh. Body and hair products. Love the atmosphere chill with no rush. The employees are friendly and welcoming. A true cozy convenient Store. Deft my to go when in need!!! Oh and the cilantro, garlic and all fresh produce tend to last in pretty good condition for a reasonable time. I get my garlic, peppers, Brussels sprout, cilantro, avocados (always good and ready to eat) Lemons, bruschetta sauce, potatoes chips soo good crispy till the end) the frozen food is top notch quality I like the eggplant cutlets, the hash-browns and the And 21 seasoning salute are my favorites. This place is great. It's not overly crowded and the workers are very nice and friendly. It's easy to find parking. On the weekends you might have to circle around once but you'll usually find something within a few minutes. Updated: Still love this place.

I normally like Trader Joe's and their stuff but this was such a grotesque experience I had to share. I was eating the mini beef tacos, I will include a picture below, and I bit into one and it was hard so I spit it out and it was a literal artery like a mini tube it was so disguising I wanted to vomit. I wanted to take a picture to include here but if I looked at it any longer I would've vomited, not kidding. I still can't get the image out of my head and my stomach is queasy thinking about it. Sorry to scare you but don't get this, don't take the chance.

Best market in America! Great and healthy food at much lower prices than supermarkets!

One of the earliest Trader Joe's stores. It's much smaller compared to the other TJ locations. Inside needs a little updating. I felt the selections were very limited and I couldn't find organic grapes. Maybe they ran out of stock? Overall still decent, the employees are still nice and helpful but then most TJ employees are. I only would come to this location if I'm around the area.

Fresh fruits and vegetables. Easy to find what I need. Staffs are friendly and the atmosphere is good.

It's very crowded in a Sunday and u have been waiting over 30 minutes to pay and cashier talk talk talk so in considerate and of course customer didn't shut up ether never on a Sunday

I love coming here but the parking is absolutely terrible they have great organic selection and seafood as well as fresh vegetables stop by here if your in the area...good luck finding a parking spot!

One of the best option for organic food products. The store is not mega size which help save time by getting what you need and pay. The Trader Joe's organic cold press green juice is amazing value. A 32oz bottle cost $5.99 USD which is less than what it would be to juice it yourself without all the cleaning and time consuming work. Plenty of cash registers for your convenience. The stocks are fresh. Is a little congested to move around during prime hours. Plan your trip if you enjoy taking your time to look around which you should because there are many unique products available. Early morning weekdays hours seem the best time to beat the crowds. The price is fair to slightly pricey but not outrageous.

One of the original specialty food stores. Before Fairway, Uncle G's etc. They have a flyer to tempt you with such things as Honey Fig Walnut cream cheese and Goat cheese with apple and cinnamon. MMM just sit me down with a spoon and keep the paramedics number handy it's worth it. Great place to walk around and find unusual food items.

Great TJs location. Clean, well organized with friendly staff and very short waits to get in and out. Go to this location, you won't be disappointed.

What's not to love about Trader Joe's? I especially love this location as it never seems as crowded as the others I have frequented - The foods are always incredibly fresh and they have a great take out Sushi area. The usual TJ's items are available but it is the lack of crowds that makes this location excellent.

My first trip in was a few years ago looking for specific item and then my world view of TJ's changed. Across the way is a Shoprite, (they have their own strengths). I've been a fan TJ's ever since and been to many locations, each having a good vibe. For a relative tiny store compared to the box store supermarkets or clubs, I found their unique style charming and kind of a little different most trips. Inventory rotation is great here, the staff is friendly and helpful to a person I'd say 99% of the time, the odd ball who isn't once in awhile is usually easy to overlook. For good eats and good size of items this store will win you over. If you're only a bulk type and not into the looking at things yourself probably not your cup of tea. Healthy eats or junkie its your call, glad they cater to both! Clean lay out, expanded foot print, usually fresh veg and produce, great baked good selection, frozens, and new things and snacks you couldn't have thought of all rolled into one store. Let your imagination go and enjoy it all. Yes they have TJ household items, vitamins etc. Sweets, desserts, candies, too...all of it incredible. If you never tried a TJ gotta go. This one is a favorite so gets my review, but honestly all LI locations are super, Westbury is a zoo relatively speaking, but so are all stores there.

What a well run company and location. Fresh food. Helpful staff. Happy staff! Clean, plenty of carts. Parking is rough as the shopping center is expanding, but that will pass. Prices are even good. Keto can get expensive. Love it!

Trader Joe's is a great supermarket and they sell high quality food at very reasonable prices. Everything their bakery sells is delicious but so is everything else in general. Everyday they offer free coffee and a sample of food to their customers. It's a lovely, quaint little market to shop in and you'll find some true gems everywhere from skincare to ethnic foods to your everday staple foods.

Who doesn't love Trader Joe's? They have everything natural and/or organic that you could ever possibly need! The prices are also VERY fair which is why I prefer TJ's over Whole Foods. This location isn't large, by any means, but it remains very organized and the staff is helpful. I personally love the tasting station in the back. They usually have their seasonal products out there for you to try for free. They also have an excellent cheese selection as well as a hummus selection. Their store brand naan is also delicious. And buy one of the TJ's bags so they can just use that to pack up your groceries. They're lighter, keep things cold, and you're saving the environment (sort of).

Location is smaller compared the other ones like the city. Lines can be long but they move pretty fast. Picking a shorter line at the registers might not neccesarily mean that it will go faster. They should have everyone wait in one big line and go to the next register thats free, it's only fair. Items on the weekends are sometimes not in stock or have not been restocked yet. Parking can be hard to find during busy times like the weekends.

Visited this Trader Joe's today (the day after Christmas) and I have been here many times before. The shopping center is crowded and bustling which makes it sometimes hard to park. The store is smaller than the one that I normally frequent in Tampa, but it is nice for the area. The shelves were well stocked and everything was very fresh. The beer selection is very limited and they do not sell wine. The lines were long, but well managed and the cashiers were both efficient and friendly.
