A Guide to the Best and Worst Vegan Ice Creams | Eater

"The Strawberry Non-Dairy Oat Frozen Dessert with almond brittle and candied strawberries has a smooth, creamy texture punctuated by small mix-in nubs, but it lacks bold strawberry flavor and would benefit from chunkier brittle for more textural contrast." - Rebecca Flint Marx

The Best Trader Joe’s Frozen Foods | Eater

"Renowned for a broad, affordable, and consistently good freezer selection, this grocery makes it possible to feed yourself entirely from frozen meals, sides, snacks, and desserts. Standouts include the Thai Vegetable Gyoza—stuffed with cabbage, chives, carrots, green onions, ginger, radishes, and other crunchy, flavorful fillings—that fans will travel for and stock up on in bulk; frozen gnocchi, praised as an endlessly adaptable “workhorse” that can be simmered in its sauce, dressed up, or roasted with vegetables; and a convenient tray-ready savory snack that bakes in about 30 minutes (filling the house with sweet, jammy onion and buttery, flaky pastry) and can be swapped onto a serving platter for entertaining. The frozen spanakopita balances salty cheeses like feta and mizithra with onions and leeks and keeps its phyllo flakiness from the freezer, while the kung pao tempura cauliflower arrives pre-coated with a sauce packet (or can be tossed in Buffalo or barbecue sauce after crisping in an air fryer or oven). The 5 Cheese Greek Spiral—made with Gouda, kasseri, kefalotyri, blue cheese, and a hard cheese blend—is versatile, enjoying sweet jam as a counterpoint, and the slender, full-length frozen green beans hold snap and flavor and make an elegant five-minute side when steamed with butter, garlic, and salt. Staff favorites and practical packaging (like included aluminum baking trays) make many of these items go-to solutions for quick dinners and last-minute entertaining." - Rebecca Flint Marx

It is always so quick and accessible. This time I bought the Angus Beef Homestyle meatballs!!! Paired with the Basil tomato sauce. Delish and easy to make! Plus Flowers!

Google
Trader Joe's is good...mostly. If you DON'T care about eating clean, no seed oils, no preservatives, pasture raised, grass fed and that sort of thing, you will find some really tasty heat and serve frozen stuff. But...if healthy and clean food is a priority you won't be buying too much here.

Google
Although all Trader Joe’s are pretty good, this one ranks as “great” in my book. Thank you Manuel for treating me, an out of town customer so nicely by taking me all around the store to find very specific items! Such wonderful customer service and of course Trader Joe’s food selection etc is the best!

Google
Great store as most are, parking can be tricky as this parking lot is quite busy. I find this store typically has what I am looking for in stock. Also a great place to order flowers if you need a large quantity.

Andrew Ballard

Google
Placed an order for our wedding flowers for March pickup with Stacy back in mid-February, and we called the day before pickup to confirm and spoke with Amy. Seemed a bit nervous for some reason, but was told everything was in order. Showed up for pickup the next day and voila, no one knew anything about our pickup order for 500+ flowers and was never placed. Stacy was there and continued to try to find who else to blame the ENTIRE time, while the only people apologizing were the employees just trying their best to help the situation and had nothing to do with it. Our wedding and the entire day beforehand was put on the ropes because of this, and yet we still paid full price for whatever they DID happen to have in stock ($350+) because we were so angry and just wanted to leave the situation to find the rest of the flowers somewhere else ASAP. Not once did the people actually responsible even apologize. For others reading, do yourself a favor and place your flower orders somewhere else. We got absolutely screwed the day before our wedding.

Google
This place is really great and it's packed with good food! We are vegiterian and this has a lot of options for us! Including meat substitutes made of soy. Also a little fun for the kids, if you find a black stuffed bear ( named Teddy Joe) go to the free sample section and tell them where it is, the will give the kids a free lollipop! I definitely recommend going here!

Google
Shocking changes in the wine dept, what happened? This store used to have the best wines and plenty of fantastic inventory, now it looks like an anemic flea market. There is NOTHING to chose from with the TJ brands now. Very disappointing. I will not be back again. Costco is #1 for wine now.

Taty Mota

Google
When I go to Trader Joe’s, it’s like I’m entering my personal private type of Heaven, I love it, and I love all the variations they offer. The selection of fresh avocados I can only compare them to the avocados from Costco, you want to find better avocados, and creamy anywhere else.

Yelp
It isn't hard to love Trader Joe's and this location is no exception. They have the best snacks and great groceries (while the selection is limited for traditional grocery items). The staff are always so lovely and helpful. Florals at such a great price. I love so many of the frozen foods. They also have a such great seasonal selection. We have so many TJ's staples at our house and always a freezer packed with our favorites. Parking is always a mad house, but it is worth it.

Yelp
Nothing better than to shop at Trader Joe's during the holidays. So many great choices and timesavers. All cultures are observed. I love it so.

Yelp
What can I say? I'm addicted to trader Joe's. It's now the fall season, and trader Joe's does not disappoint in terms of the number of fall/pumpkin oriented food items. But I come here a year round so it's hard to limit all of the good qualities that come with shopping here. I love that I can pick up fresh fruit dinner and flowers for home, all in one trip. But the key... is locking in on some of their seasonal products, whether it be jams and jelly's or soups and dips. And let us not forget the sweets for the sweet. As with most locations, the stores are petite and fully stopped. With just about everything you can need in terms of grocery items. They are Always bustling with patrons and the crew is always around to help.

Yelp
I love me some TJs! This location was great as most are. It was very busy when I went. But the staff is friendly and helpful. I love the large selection at such a small store. Great pre packaged food and fresh produce.
google avatar

Tamika M.

Yelp
Love love love this place! My 1st time here Kim gave me a bag and ring the bell. There was so many different foods to choose from. Everybody was busy look at the different options of products to pick from. Ambiance was busy. There were so many different things I wasted to purchase but I had 2.5 hour drive back home. I have to come back up and this time I'll bring a cooler. Lol
google avatar

Yelp
Hard to find items. So many busy people stacking inventory. I still think it's a good grocery store with lots of variety. That's why I gave it four stars! This one star is lacking because some of their food items are not quite as represented as pictured on the box. For example, coconut, shrimp pictures, real coconut in the breading, however, after frying it up, there was no coconut. This could have been just the exception, or it might have been miss print produced? But I did not want to try another box. a manager gladly gave me my money back. Therefore, I think four stars is deserving of the store. The other picture are of the potato pancakes, which were the delicious small, but delicious! I will definitely return to Trader Joe's as it is one of my favorite stores.

Yelp
I finally drop by Trader Joe's after 6 years have gone by. This place has not changed one bit. Still exceptional service, even the one located in Santa Clara, California too! Walked in and felt like home. Bought some organic herbs to grow for cooking. Healthy cleaning products to use at home. International food to enjoy munching when I relax. My goal is to eventually eat like a Vegan or at least vegetarian. When you get older, you know you can't be eating the way you did when you were young. When I went to check out, the cashier said the baby broccoli that I bought totally smelled wrong, lol. She asked someone in the store to exchange it for me. How nice is that?! Bottom line, I really appreciate people who care about our world and want to make it better. Trader Joe has always been that way to me, even before the epidemic. They have always been totally awesome, ever since the store was established in the Bay Area. The customers who shopped here were totally nice too. Thank you for your smiles, because you make our world a better place everyday.

Yelp
Best place to shop for groceries you can trust! I could not be more thrilled with the selection and the quality! I've been a customer for many years. Each store is a bit different, my favorite, in order, Sandy Springs , Woodstock (92) and Pine Straw ( Johnson Ferry / Roswell Rd). Customer service is incredible. You still may have to hit Publix for cat food, etc, but it's so worth it. The floral selections and price, alone , is astounding. So many meal choices, premade or make your own with products that are healthful!

Yelp
This is the place you come to for specific items you won't get elsewhere. Saturdays are always crowdedI always end up buying something new to try.

Yelp
This my local Trader Joe's in Roswell. We first started shopping at Trader Joe's over 15 years ago in Southern California. Before Trader Joe's came to Georgia, I would bring products back in my suit case each time I returned to California. One of the things that I love about Trader Joe's is that they offer great quality products at reasonable prices. I love their deli meats, cheeses, fresh produce and peanut butter pretzels. The store in Roswell is staffed with friendly, helpful team members. Each time I ask where to find a product, they always walk me over to the product. I also appreciate the quick check out process. Whenever there are too many people in one line, they quickly open another register. This is greatly appreciated.

Charles ..

Yelp
The best small market ever. You can get everything you need and the prices are far better than the chain supermarkets. The quality is better than most brands.

Yelp
Trader Joe's has done an outstanding job with safety precautions for Covid-19. Customers are required to wear a mask. Their entire staff wears masks and gloves. They only allow a certain amount of people in at a time and have laid out social distancing markers throughout the store as well as outside. They've added plexiglass shields at their registers. Use of shopping carts are encouraged to further enforce social distancing. There are no baskets in sight. Carts are sanitized after each customer, and hand sanitizers are provided outside and inside, right by the entrance. This isn't my usual Trader Joe's, so the layout throws me off. My usual TJ's has produce right by the entrance and alcohol in the back. This location is the opposite. Their shelves are well stocked for the most part, but I have noticed that they run out quickly or are just out of certain products other TJs have. What's consistent with this and other TJs is the excellent customer service! The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I can't believe there is not one in the John's Creek/ Buford/ Flowery Branch area. You are losing a lot of sales. Sprouts is everywhere! Please build one here.

Jason P.

Yelp
Not enough staff. Breads, fruits and vegetables often become rotted or molded within 24-48 hours of purchase. Prices outrageous. Returns difficult. Managers not helpful. Absolutely last place I would shop.

Yelp
Ohh, Trader Joe's... how I love you. And missed you. I moved to Woodstock mid-pandemic and hadn't been to a Trader Joe's in 7 or 8 months. I didn't realize how much I had missed it until I came back two weeks ago. And then returned with my daughter a week ago. And will now be making the 25 minute trek again in the next day or two. One of the major pros of this location is immediately apparent -- the parking lot. I had shopped a few times at the East Cobb location in the spring, and prior to East Cobb, lived in Pittsburgh, PA and frequented two different TJ's there. Well every Trader Joe's location that I've ever been to has had the biggest disaster of a parking lot. Good news, everyone, this store actually has a convenient, accessible, and available parking lot. It's magical! The sales associates, of course, are also magical. I would expect nothing less from this company, but I do enjoy having this fact confirmed with every visit. And the food -- oh the food. I have many years of favorites but my most recent discovery has been the Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa. More of that please!

Yelp
I love trader joes. It has just about every snack you need without having to go to multiple stores to get what you want. My mother recently bought a lily from our local trader joe'd and it looks gorgeous. Definitely recommend for my fellow foodies, you will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Yelp
I love this chain! Regardless of location -- Roswell GA or NYC -- the prices are consistent. And fair! There are things I buy here that I don't find elsewhere: cauliflower gnocchi. 330 calories for the whole bag! (I sauté them in olive oil with a sprinkling of shaved parmesan. Okay, forget the 330.) Try their chicken lime burgers! Oh, and their Asian dumplings @ $2.99 a bag for either chicken or pork. Cheaper than Buford Highway. I don't love 'two buck chuck', but for a few dollars more, you can get some really tasty wine. The people who work here must have to pass a niceness test, since everyone is so darned pleasant and helpful. Dig this: I mentioned a grain that I bought there, and didn't like. I didn't have the product with me, and I wasn't looking for anything. I was merely chatting with the cashier. And son-of-gun, she refunded the price! As I said, I love this chain!
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
We have been to many TJ stores and this one is really well stocked. People were also nice and courteous.
google avatar

Cynthia B.

Yelp
This is my favorite Trader Joe's location. Why you may ask...well, for starters they are VERY organized and everything is always looking so nice when I come in. Staff is always helpful and saying good morning. It's the little things that I think make the difference. There are essentials I always buy here and are better priced that anywhere else 1. Organic eggs -$3.49 dozen for large 2. Organic milk- $5.49 gallon 3. 100% recycled toilet paper- +\- $4
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful Trader Joe's with a fantastic selection of products. The produce looks fresh and they move the line quickly (still have to line up outdoors due to COVID capacity limits). This is a brief review, because otherwise it's your typical Trader Joe's (the best grocery store ever!)
google avatar

Phoebe T.

Yelp
This is your typical Trader Joe's.. and who doesn't love Trader Joe's? Only thing that confused me is that the layout of the store seems like it starts out in the wine section and then ends in the produce section. Maybe we were just distracted by the wine . Overall, we liked that the carts were being sanitized after use and the sanitized carts were being held under a tent in case of rain. Nice touch Trader Joe's!
google avatar

Kischa J.

Yelp
I absolutely love this store and this particular location. It is always clean, stocked well, and has the best employees. The produce is always fresh, with organic options and good prices. These people really love their jobs. My absolute favorite thing here is the FLOWERS. I buy a bunch for the house and one for my office every 2 weeks because they're that amazing and actually last the entire time. I've received a lot of great recommendations with the offer to bring it back if I don't love it. I haven't brought a single thing back.
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
My first question is when can we get one of these in the Savannah area??? Like organic, cheap, healthy goods I feel great about buying! Products on the shelf are things that are in season and look so yummy with good ingredients! Y'all this is where you're supposed to shop! There's so many organic options and I find them at an extremely reasonable price. Every time I come home I make sure I load up. Also everything tastes so yummy! Great produce, samples, the frozen aisle is also my fav precooked healthy meals!!!
google avatar

Melissa K.

Yelp
I. Love. Trader. Joe's. I'll keep it sweet and simple for this review because that's all it takes to sum up this amazing place: Customer service - on point. Their flowers - on point. Bread - on point. Cheeses - on point. Snacks - on point. Frozen foods - on point. Wine - ON. POINT. (And cheap!) The only downfall is that I don't have one closer! *hint hint* *nudge nudge*

Amy N.

Yelp
Everything at this Trader Joe's is on point! I'll drive 45 minutes with a cooler to stock up on all the affordable deliciousness that is Trader Joe's! The seasonal pumpkin cookies by the register is a don't mess! They won't make it home.

Maureen H.

Yelp
Great quality of food. Actually ended up buying more than what I came in to purchase. People are very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Mel E.

Yelp
I love Trader Joe's! The food is so incredible & they also have healthy options!! Once you try their peanut butter, you will never be able to eat a commercial brand's again! Trader Joe's is so good and peanut like, while the commercial's is practically just sugar! The only reason I can't give them 5 stars, is the prices... Things are pretty expensive here for me (a college student), so I don't shop here too often.
google avatar

Barbara C.

Yelp
Best grocery store experience I've had in a long time! Limited selections but all excellent! Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff! Try the potato pancakes in the frozen food section!
google avatar

Lilly C.

Yelp
This is the original and the best friendliest in the city. The place is filled with long time employees and the place is always super clean. I come here every week for their cat food which is low in magnesium and ash for my cat that get urinary tract infections. It has no by product and its only $.79 a can. I also love their coffee selection.. its inexpensive and high quality. You can't go wrong with Trader Joe's. This Trader is located off of Highway 92/W.Crossville Rd/Holcomb Bridge Road (the name changes according to where you are even though its the same road) There is a Petsmart, and an Arby's nearby. Outback Steak House is a couple of doors down as well as Office Max, Cakes by Darcy, Honey Bakes Ham and El Torero Mexican Restaurant
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
It's almost painful to give a Trader Joe's a mere "A-OK" rating. I'm a true blue fan of this particular grocery chain, to the point that I used to take a cooler, drive an hour to my nearest store, and load up a couple of times a month. Trader Joe's has pretty much cornered the market on a wide variety of natural and organic foods that are also affordable (be careful, though, they sell plenty of stuff that's definitely more 'treat' than not!) and I absolutely love the company. My complaints are specific to this particular location. The parking lot is a mess, and getting in and out can be a downright dangerous proposition. The store itself is always neat and orderly, and the employees are friendly. I am a big fan of their tasting station, and it's very effective - more often than not, I end up buying something just because I've tried it there. The last few times I've gone, though, I've noticed a disturbing pattern. Well, disturbing to me, anyway. The baggers seem to be receiving RIDICULOUS training on how to bag groceries. To begin with, they stuff as much as they possibly can into one bag, making them so heavy you have to carry them from the bottom to avoid the handles ripping off and the bag hitting the ground. I realized this the hard way a couple of weeks ago.
google avatar

Yelp
Bless the suburbs. I live near Midtown and that is where I do my usual Trader Joe's shopping. I shop there close to closing to avoid the insane crowds! I was at this Roswell store around 8pm on a Friday night - very easy to park and the store was not crowded. Thank you! This trip was quick and easy since I was just picking up wine. It was easy to find the wine section since it was right up front. I picked up my moscato and headed to check out where there was no line. What?! Cashier was quite friendly. Btw the moscato I chose was fantastic!

Yelp
I arrived late to the party by almost a year before discovering that a Trader Joe's had opened on Hwy. 92 in Roswell. Since I work in Roswell and live in Woodstock, the store is easily located for a quick shop on my way home. I have never been to another TJ's, so I cannot compare to other locations. The people at this store are super friendly and sincerely want to help you. They may break into song at any time. I think it is great that people apparently enjoy working for a business so much. It's infectious. You leave feeling good. There is always one or two things to sample in the store. I have not seen the same thing twice in going there now for about two months. I bought a few of the items that I sampled. The prices cannot be beat. I buy at least a gallon of milk a week. Their milk is $0.70 cheaper a gallon than at Publix and is of the same quality. If you like carrot juice, their brand is sweeter and cheaper than the brands offered at Publix, such as Bolthouse. They have an amazing canned wild smoked salmon. I can't even find canned smoked salmon at Publix or Kroger. I can often make a meal with the salmon and a salad. I did get a bag of salad once that had turned even though I opened it when I got home. I just told them the next time and had my receipt and they refunded the money and were really sorry that I had the experience. They have a great selection of energy bars. I especially like Larabars, and theirs are far cheaper than at Kroger, although the selection is not as big. I can't even find this brand at Publix. They encourage you to recycle paper grocery bags by giving you sturdy ones with handles to start. If you recycle them, they will put your name in a drawing for prizes. A few of their food products come from China. I don't buy food from China for fear of safety now. Just look at the label. If it is from another country, it is label clearly on the label. Overall, this is my market of choice now. I still have to shop Publix for a few items since TJ's is a smaller market, but I buy the bulk of my groceries at TJs. Since the store is smaller and less crowded, I am in and out in about 20 minutes.
google avatar

Cheryl H.

Yelp
Oh, the things you miss when you move! While living in Atlanta for 10 years, we went to TJ's several times a month for unique and tasty foods. We've been in Savannah for 1.5 years and I miss it all the time. I could not resist the chance to stop by my favorite store last weekend and stock up on some much missed favorites - veggie fried rice, everyday seasoning grinders, lavender & chamomile hand soap, TJ's mayo (seriously the best on the planet), ginger turmeric tea and so much more. I filled up my cooler and drove south, wishing for a location near me! Until next time TJ's!
google avatar

Rox R.

Yelp
I love Trader Joe's I have several must haves that I buy here. It's a huge deal for us since its so far away but always worth it. The only downside is that 1-3 things area are always not in stock. I'm from TJ's land of CA so I understand that they don't always have everything here in GA. It's a GA bummer that I usually end up doing my shopping on Sunday's and have to ignore the lovely beer/wine selection. Staff is super friendly- got compliments on my funky keen shoes, glad she ignored my camo mountain bike shorts.
google avatar

Aimee C.

Yelp
The best!! I can't say I haven't been to a trader Joe's I didn't love!! They were celebrating there 50th anniversary and had amazing specials and ice cream Sundays for us. Omg, is the Carmel sauce good. Everything is guaranteed that you like it or you can bring it back. It's great!!

Victoria D.

Yelp
Every time I shop here, my day gets a little brighter. The options are great, so many unique products one can only find here and the staff is always extremely happy and helpful!
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
This place was pretty busy when we strolled in for a few items today. There were customers and employees everywhere. I guess that's the busy Sunday errands day vibe? The employees that interacted with us were cordial and friendly. The store looked neat and orderly. One thing I found interesting was that you can mix and match the beer. Or at least that's what the sign said. lol. Oh. And by the way, this location usually runs out of Coconut Water super quick since I heard it was cheap here. I don't drink this stuff, but I heard it was cheaper here than elsewhere. The down side is that they're usually out of stock. Parking was pretty plentiful since this was in a super huge complex. Trader Joe's was more towards the right side of the complex near PetSmart.
google avatar

Selena T.

Yelp
I love to buy my grocery from trader joe than everywhere! I used to buy grocery from fresh market and whole food but the fresh market foods quality are going down! Now I will go to trader joe when I need it. I love the wines, cookies , Italian bread etc.... Highly recommended to buy your grocery from trader joe!
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Love Trader Joe's! Parking lot is very small... Building is a bit small but they have everything you need
google avatar

Tori B.

Yelp
Five star service!! My toddler and I were doing a quick grocery run & my daughter was telling me she was cold. I let her know we would be done with the cold stuff soon, and one of the employees (Patrice) overheard her and offered her jacket!! I couldn't believe it. Such a kind woman and I was able to finish my shopping without listening to a whining toddler!! This is why TJ will always be our favorite!!!
google avatar

Wagner L.

Yelp
Visited a Trader Joe's in Ponte Vedra, FL and we need one in Chattanooga, TN stat! So many healthy and interesting options! Love it!
google avatar

Kellie M.

Yelp
Trader Joe's is super freakin awesome! I NEED ONE IN TOWNE LAKE! Sorry for the rant.... Everytime I make the trip down good ol 92 I make sure to stop in! First of all the produce as well as prices on produce is amazing! The have organic as well as non organic items to choose from. My next trip is down the frozen section. I always pick up edamame, frozen dumplings and these super awesome things I found called Edamame Tofu Bites. Oh LORD try these!!!! After stopping by the tasting area for whatever they are giving out (because it's always fantastic and I'm always hungry) I peruse the cheeses. THEN - what I have been waiting for - THE WINE SECTION! Guys, if you have never bought wine from TJ you really must! Now, I'm not talking about the Two Buck Chuck, I'm talking about all of the other great selections that they have to offer. This go round I left with two bottles of a red blend. If you have yet to shop here, you really must make the trip!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not giving this Trader Joe's 5 stars like the one I usually go to because its only open until 830. The one in midtown is open until 10pm, 7 days a week. :) The rest of the review is the same: I LOVE Trader Joe's. I think most people who give Trader Joe's poor reviews miss the point of the store. In my opinion, Trader Joe's is meant to supplement, not necessarily replace, Kroger, Publix, or Whole Foods. 1) They do not stock many national brands. You will not find Coca-Cola beverages, Frito-Lay snacks or Sara Lee anything. TJ's carries many of the same items as any supermarket, but many times its only with Trader Joe's own brand plus maybe 1-2 smaller companies' offerings. 2) Trader Joe's carries a lot more organic meats and vegetables than a Kroger or Publix and at much better prices. However, the selection is still lacking compared to someplace like Whole Foods or Fresh Market. Also, the selection of non-organic meats and vegetables is not as great as Kroger or Publix, but prices are competitive and the produce is, more often than not, much higher quality at Trader Joe's. 3) Trader Joe's has a lot of frozen entrees for sale, mostly their own brand, but these are almost all of superior quality to anything you can get at the big chains. My favorites are: - Mandarin Orange Chicken - Vegetarian potato and vegetable skillet - Any of their varieties of pot stickers/dumplings/gyoza - Any variety of frozen pizzas. - Frozen pepper melange ($1.29 for a 1-lb bag of frozen chopped green, red and yellow bell peppers... a steal!) I could go on and on. Every person who raves about Trader Joe's has their own list of 6-7 products they absolutely love. Now YOU should go to Trader Joe's, and find the things you'll love. I guarantee you will find those half-dozen things you can't live without and will be hooked like the rest of us! But at least you won't have to spend your whole paycheck!
google avatar

Yelp
First of all I want whatever the employees of Trader Joe's are on! I just love how upbeat everyone is from the time you step into the door until checkout. Just overall an awesome staff...and that goes for every location that I've ever been to. Second, Trader Joe's has the most beautiful, fresh flowers of any grocery chain in the area. And not only are they gorgeous but they're cheap too! No matter how well you take care of them, the flowers always live for at least a week. Lastly, even though it's a small section, they provide some of the freshest produce. They consistently have the best avocados. Oh yea and who can beat $36 for a case of wine...red, white or a mix of both!

Yelp
Trader Joe's is one of those places that I have wanted to go for so long, even before they opened in Atlanta. And then I finally went on Sunday. The feel of the store is like an old market place, with fresh fruits and flowers and cute little packaged things. (at least at this location it is like that). Also, what I found so cute and old fashion was that instead of paging a manager or someone to come to the front where the cashiers are, they have bells that they ring. I started out in the produce section and everything looked amazingly fresh and neat. Most everything in the store is organic. Trader Joe's makes a lot of their own snacks, frozen foods etc. So I got a little of each. I had heard about their frozen Indian foods. Now I am Indian and thought to myself, what does Trader Joe's know about Indian Food? But I thought I would give it a try. I picked up their version of Chicken Vindaloo which was approx. $3.00. AND to my surprise it was delicious. I mean dee-lee-cious! I was very surprised. They make all their food with no preservatives or artificial flavorings. They also have a little sample bar, where I tried a cucumber dill dip with veggies. Now this cucumber dill that is made by Trader Joe's had actual slices of cucumber. I have never seen that. Needless to say it was delicious. They also had some tangerine/oranges which were so sweet! I am so happy to finally go to a grocery store where I can afford to buy all natural foods. Rock on Trader Joe's!

Yelp
Trader Joe's. I really don't know where to start. I first fell in love during the brief stint in California. How relieved I was when I found out they were opening several stores in Atlanta. They would have been something I really missed about Cali. I live in the V-Hi., so I usually frequent the T.J. on Monroe which has great variety. I'm used to the selection they have, so I know exactly what to put on my list. Frozen veg, soymilk, jasmine rice, wine!, and snacky foods. The BF and I recently took an adventure OTP to the Trader Joe's on Roswell. They have a much larger selection of snack foods. Veggie chips, popcorn, cheesy poofs, and some stuff I didn't recognize. In the end, location doesn't matter. Trader Joe's rocks!

Yelp
This is a pretty solid Trader Joes. One of the things I've noticed about TJs is the incredible amount of unique items that they pack into small stores. However, in the smaller stores such as this one you won't always find all of the items that you could in a larger location, and popular items like orange chicken will sometimes sell out. Having said that, the customer service here is everything you have come to know and love about Trader Joes. The employees will jump to help you or make recommendations, and they know their products. Everyone seems to have their favorite specialty items from TJs. Some items are a great value, while others lag behind a little bit. Some of the best prices compared to other stores are the wine, coffee, some produce, and especially flowers, but you can very easily be burned on meat or snack foods. All in all, this is a great store and a great location. They also have plenty of parking which can be tricky in some locations. Definitely worth a stop.

Yelp
Whats not to love about Trader Joes? I mean seriously. This place has all sorts of cool, unique organic, natural products, 2-buck chuck, crazy awesome beers, ready to cook meals, a selection of cheese that's out of this world and free fruit water while you're walking around aimlessly looking for that next cool thing you want to cook with. My wife also swears they have the best flowers in the city. I don't know how thats possible, but I wouldn't put it past TJ's. The store is always clean, organised, well stocked and full of energy. You know what I'm talking about. Most grocery stores seem boring, the people are just going through the paces and no one seems to be excited to be vertical. Well not here. The place just has an energy about it. Perhaps they pump something into the air. Who knows, and who cares. Either way JT's is the place to go for great food options, cheap wine and fruit water.

Yelp
I have a hard time rating this location any higher because of how small it is, limited product selection, and proximity to other stores that can deliver. I used to love Trader Joe's because it offered more whole foods, organics, and environmentally friendly options than other stores. In fact, you really couldn't find it anywhere else. But with the pervasiveness of Whole Foods, Publix and Kroger embracing the organic and sustainable movements, and highly prepared nature of products at this particular Trader Joes, it's not worth my patronage. Part of my frustration comes from not being able to shop completely here. Their produce and fresh meat selections are extremely small. Remaining products are either frozen or pre-packaged... not exactly what I am after. It was a godsend when it opened, now an inconvenience and frustration for its small selection and limited availability.
