I stopped by the Trader Joe’s on 4th Street in San Francisco. It’s a bit tricky to find since it’s underground, but the store was well stocked. The layout felt more like a basement, and it was crowded during my visit. However, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Google
Conveniently, it's in downtown San Francisco, downstairs in the lower level. Great way to grab snacks and lunch on the go when heading to the Powell-Bart station. The only negative I have is, DO NOT COME ON SUNDAYS! The long line snakes around aisles. It's ridiculous. You're probably standing in line just to pay for more than 15 minutes! Other than that, the store is pretty well stocked and the staff are pretty chill.

Google
Love their snacks and fresh salads. Wish they would bring back the vegan rinds (porkless porkrinds).

May 2025 Traders at the financial district is a lot more busier than the California St outlet. The premises are thus a bit more busy esp with the addition of the tourist crowd. Most of the products are of their own branding giving TJ a distinct style of their own.

The checkout line was ridiculously long—I waited about 20 minutes, and there were at least 20-30 people ahead of me. Unfortunately, the cashier's behavior made the experience even worse. He was rude, unresponsive, and didn’t offer the usual friendly attitude I’ve come to expect from Trader Joe’s employees. When he asked if I wanted my items placed in the reusable bags I had brought, I explained that the bags were for gifts and I preferred to carry my items separately. Despite this, he ignored my request and folded my bags sharp. Many items were out of stock.

It’s a nice grocery supermarket at corner of the 4th street. I visit almost 5 to 6 times while I was in San Francisco.

Google
Trader Joe’s is, without a doubt, my favorite place in the United States. It’s probably one of the reasons I’ve returned here the last two times over the past couple of years. They offer convenient, ready-to-eat meals like butter chicken with rice, mashed potatoes in butter, breaded dishes, and a variety of fresh salad kits. These options are absolutely amazing and feel like a pinnacle of quality, especially compared to what other stores offer. Their meals require no prep time, are affordable, and taste great.

Google
My first time in any Trader Joe's. First impression: 1. Lots of varieties except for raw rice 2. The staffs are helpful and nice 3. There was a long queue (maybe because it was in the evening) And I got one of the orange chicken bowl (so good)

Yelp
I was surprised this Trader Joe's is bigger than I have imagined being at this busy downtown San Francisco location. They have a variety of drinks and foods. Trader Joe's has grown since the days of $2 Buck Chuck. This Trader Joe's is the best place to go on a liquor run in the downtown area because it beats the corner liquor stores prices. I was a little surprised they were giving free samples inside. This Trader Joe's is stocked with drink and food aisles, with different types of international drink and food styles

Yelp
As someone who doesn't have access to Trader Joes, I'm always enthralled by the selection, the curation of products, and the great service. For the normal Trader Joe aficionado, this place has all the regular stuff. Don't be surprised by the small entrance or escalator. The underground space will quickly put you in mind of the TJ's you know and love. As for visitors like us, we found this was a convenient spot for a quick stop on our comings and goings from our hotel in Union Square. Lots of options. Fresh, frozen, bottled, etc. Plenty of snacks and even a great selection of greeting cards and plants. Yay! Fast and helpful customer service.

Yelp
I usually don't write reviews for grocery stores but I should! Trader Joe's is always awesome. Their employees are always so friendly and open to helping customers looking for stuff. Their cashiers always greet and ask how you're doing + offer to bag your stuff if you have your own bag. They have great selections and always well stocked from salads, frozen Indian food, deli meats, dumplings, frozen fruits and vegetables, fresh produce, kombucha, teas, coffees, etc. I love that they carry Trader Joe's exclusive products so you can't get them anywhere else. They're constantly coming out with new products too so there's always stuff to try out! I'm only writing this review today to speak up about an unpleasant experience my co workers had today at this location. The cashier on register 5, name D. Michael (on the receipt) was being very rude to my co workers. They shared a cart because they didn't plan to buy too many things but you always end up buying too much at Trader Joe's lol. Anyway, they got to register 5 and mentioned that they're going to do 2 separate transactions. They were getting stuff out and the box of cherry tomatoes opened up so they had a hard time. I guess Michael got annoyed and gave attitude to them and said they should've got their own separate carts. He didn't even offer to buy their stuff for them and we had to bag it at the table at the end of the registers. I spoke up about this matter to their customer service desk and a very sweet lady helped us. I believe her name was Tanya? I do apologize if I don't have the correct name as it just happened quickly. I had mentioned the experience and she seemed like she was not surprised so I'm sure the cashier has been complained about before. My co workers also told me they have had bad experiences with him before also but left it. I told her I didn't t want to make it a big deal but just wanted to inform her. She said "no, it is a big deal and I'm sorry for the unpleasant experience." That was such a professional response. She offered us 2 bouquet of flowers to make up for it! Wow, she went above and beyond to address the problem on the spot. Thank you so much. It definitely made up for the unpleasant experience.

Yelp
This is the place to get all the things you've been looking for at other TJs. Everything is here. They are well stocked. Lots of yummy goodies. I was trying new things and found some yummy food. Cashiers are super fast. The plant based bulgogi is outstanding. It's so real and flavorful. The chocolate peanut butter is so smooth. I can eat the whole bag. It's too dangerous for me.

Yelp
When I am in my office in SF I visit traders joes for a quick snack. This location offers a great selection of many things. Provides a great service for everyone around...considering Whole Foods closed.

Michael V.

Yelp
All prices across these stores have increased tremendously, not any more the affordable and good quality TJ's we used to know. What happened to JUMBO eggs? they look the same as regular ones and way more expensive, maybe JUMBO hens went on strike or they're anemic? And BTW improve quality assurance on english muffins, there are little pits inside the dough that can hurt people's mouth and stomach. Not a good fish stock and extremely expensive. Better start to shop at costco or G Outlet bro! Don't get to greedy, GREEDIER JOE'S

Yelp
Very spacious UNDERGROUND location - that's right, underground! Enter off the street and take the escalator down (they also have an elevator). Very well stocked store with a great checkout set up - one line, and you then go to the next available associate. I love this and wish all locations would look into adopting this method.

Yelp
Went here during the last 10 minutes and managed to grab some last minute booze. I refuse to have a house deprived of booze when the bars close. Tonight will be a night of drinking and debauchery in San Francisco thank you Trader Joe's. The after party is on,

Yelp
Best grocery store in the city hands-down. Great Varieties of produce food ready to eat cheeses snacks fruits and vegetables drinks meats bread Everything you would need for a healthy meal. The service is always good the very busy supermarket so there's always a line but there is many cashiers who are very good with their job and very fast so you won't be there for too long the team here is great they will answer your questions and and they know a lot about their products. So don't be shy to ask if you need to it's a cute ambience not too big not too large chest right amount everything is organized properly I love the store!
google avatar

Yelp
This store has everything you could dream of: huge selection (healthy food, not-so-healthy food), highly efficient use of space (well stocked and well organized), friendly and smiling employees (unheard of!). Can Trader Joe's please please please come to Canada to replace our current hated grocery overlords Loblaws and co.? I am begging here.

Yelp
This is a nice Trader Joe's Only issue is some items out of stock It's a very busy location The line gets super long but don't get frustrated. The line does move quickly The employees make sure of that They move the people out quickly They're friendly & helpful but they keep in mind that there are ppl in line waiting I'm impressed with how the line is managed

Araceli F.

Yelp
Why changed the store hours? I get off at 8am from work and go straight to Trader . Now is open at 9am?
google avatar

Vinkin Ken T.

Yelp
I would try to avoid coming here in the late afternoon when people get off work. There's so many shoppers here and the line snakes in and around several aisles. I recently stopped by for a jar of pasta sauce and quickly got into the line. I had forgotten to get something else from the produce section but was afraid to step out of line. The line moved somewhat fast but it felt like I was shopping during major holidays.

Yelp
On Friday, July 21, I received excellent customer service from Trisha N. while grocery shopping at their store on 4th Street, San Francisco. Among my many food items, I had purchased a small container of raspberries. As Trisha was ringing them up, she noticed some of them were bad. She went back to the fruit section and got me a nice, ripe, fresh pack of raspberries. I greatly appreciate Trisha's attention to detail and her taking the extra effort to make it right.

Yelp
A great Trader Joe's, but most of them are. The staff were so friendly and helpful. My only feedback is that they could have better organized the line. It's a small store but the way people were lined up allowed a lot of aisles to be blocked unnecessarily and people were easily able to cut the line which, in a queue that long, felt frustrating. Otherwise, a great experience!

Yelp
i usually never review trader joe's, but i had such a positive experience i had to! i stopped by on a monday afternoon for a quick grocery run. this location is always busy, but the staff is quick and very friendly! patrick, specifically, was amazing!! he not only helped me with my items, but he also said i could pick out any bouquet i wanted :) the flowers made my day; thank you patrick!!!
google avatar

Binh P.

Yelp
My favorite Trader Joe's in the city. They always have everything in stock. And even though the line looks like it'll take forever with how it snakes through the aisles, their setup allows the cashiers to ring people up efficiently. Workers are always super nice as usual.

Yelp
They now have cheaper smaller orchids now they just need a better selection of less common succulents

Yelp
I like Trader Joe's but the only reason I am writing this review is that their is two products I recently came across never had it before but I warn you not to spend money on these two items chocolate bababka and potato salad disgusting really nasty and I probably spelled it wrong who cares just thinking about them makes me sick and disoriented please be warned and take care if you decide to try them.

Yelp
Today I watched as the Trader Joe's security guard kicked a homeless ladies bags into the street, dragged her suitcase a half a block away and threw her bike into the street and broke it. I'm sure there was context but the way the employees and security guard handled that situation was not okay. An employee was also yelling in her face. I'm not sure what the situation was but the way Trader Joe's management, employees, and security brutally handled that situation was absolutely inhumane. The security guard ended up cussing me out because I told him he shouldn't be tossing her bike and clothes into the street. I was verbally attacked and was not even being aggressive when I told him that. My heart goes out to that women who was treated that way.

Mike A.

Yelp
I was thinking of giving a 4 due to sometimes getting too into the crunchy health food-adjacent trends (e.g. all the bacon every time I've been here has been uncured and some of their store-brand sweets are dark chocolate when you would absolutely use some other kind of chocolate for that specific application). Can't be too picky, though. Especially since I used to go to Safeway and, for one, it's cheaper here for most things which is a bit terrifying if you think about it. Also, though the lines get VERY long, they have a ridiculous number of cashiers when they do and are well-organized (the paddles!) so it's still quick. Oh, and the store-brand stuff is generally great with the snack foods being unlike what you get elsewhere.

Edrian D.

Yelp
I frequent this location at least 2-3 times a week to do regular grocery shopping, but ehhhh, I would rather make a trek out to stonestown or 9th street. Not because of the service, the service is outstanding. It's because they are always out of everything. Like literally everything. The store is packed with duplicate walls of the same item, I mean why? Secondly, no matter what time or day I go the produce is only good for a day or two. Like how, does this location get its last pick of the produce? I guess I'll keep coming to this location because I live in the area, but geez, get the order on par.
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect timing to see this Trader Joe,s since we were walking around and we neded water and snacks. The service was amazing, as usual!! Prices were great too and even cheaper than Miami, where I come from.

Yelp
I'm not the biggest fan of Trader Joe's in general. The concept isn't for everyone and granted I've only been perhaps twice in 15yrs; I'm just saying how I feel. However, while on business in San Francisco everything was closed for the night and I needed a few items. This location is very close and very convenient to downtown hotels and if your need something quick like waters, juice, snacks, their one and only brand of toothpaste (literally one type of toothpaste) or any other essentials, I'm happy to say this Trader Joe's did its job well. There is heavy foot traffic and can be very crowded (I actually visited it nearly every night in town...I guess I'm loyal now?) but it's a fun experience and the staff is friendly. I recommend this location for daily shopping or if you need any essentials quickly while in downtown SF.

Yelp
This is the largest Trader Joe's I've ever been in, it's a supercenter! The display of beautiful flowers was eye-catching. The wall of Shaw wine was two dollars a bottle, but there was a nice selection of California wines, beers and liquor. So silly to buy coffee and muffins at our hotel when they're so expensive. A very nice selection of muffins and breakfast cakes as well as bottled coffee, water and creamers. A couple of blocks from Union Square and around the corner from Old Navy on the F line. We get charged to purchase bags; we didn't realize we needed to buy our own. Mike, our friendly cashier, gave us a San Francisco I left my heart in Trader Joe reusable shopping bag that I will cherish!

Yelp
While Trader Joe's overall is alright with some caveats, this one is especially mediocre. While it's conveniently located for any city dwellers, it is quite small. Normally, small wouldn't really be an issue if you use space efficiently and cut where needed, but this one feels like most Trader Joe's, but worse. Probably one of the smallest and least varied product and meat sections I've ever seen in a grocery store. Yet they still maintain a relatively oversized pre-prepared food section and booze section. I've already been mostly unsatisfied with the limited selection at most Trader Joe's, but this one's size exacerbates the issue, limiting the already limited choice even more. Not to mention it's right outside one of the most crowded and bustling parts of downtown, it's just overall not a great experience. Don't want to see it go and doubt it will with all its business, but if you have other choices, you could do better than this Trader Joe's.

Yelp

Yelp
I come here so often that the staff knows me by name. I love the options compared to New York. I come here to get the delicious salads and wraps. The prices have gone up but it's still worth it. I come here for Liquor due to NY doesn't have liquor in our Trader Joe's. The local wines are amazing, they even have a $2.00 wine. This place is always clean and the staff are so friendly. I look forward to coming back to this location.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food! Great low prices! VERY, VERY polite, respectful, courteous, considerate, responsible, and professional employees there, too! YAY!

Becky L.

Yelp
If you need to know when an item becomes available again, ask management. I came into the store last night looking for soy milk but the shelf was empty. I pointed it out to the employee restocking and ask them if they could check their inventory. I was told the soy milk was still in the pallet waiting to unload and that it would be on the shelf tomorrow. Came to find out from a different employee today that it would not be available for a month or two. Like dude, there's no reason to make something up! Just tell the truth. Ridiculous!
google avatar

Herman Y.

Yelp
Located in the San Francisco Union Square neighborhood, this is a nice and clean store. You can find the usual Trader Joe's branded snacks and food.

Yelp
Left home without a mask and realized it while walking over. I called the store to ask if they had any protocols in place for someone who forgot a mask. I was assured I could get a mask from the front desk of Trader Joe's and I should just check in there when I arrived. I covered my mouth and nose with a hooded sweatshirt and pinched it over my nose for a tight fit. I wish I could have met the kind employee who answered the phone. Not even ten minutes later when I arrived I Was briskly told they don't have masks and I need to go get one.l. They didn't seem to care that I called ten minutes prior to confirm it would be okay and that they had plenty of extra masks. Couldn't even pretend to care or be nice about a weak situation. Thanks a lot. I appreciate being told bad info by your employees and then being treated like I did some something wrong and having to walk all the way back home to get a mask but. Not being able to get home and get back in time. I'm all for masks and will gladly where one wherever I need to. I'm all for employees not giving bad Information and for employees being kind to long term customers. Oh well. Good times.

Yelp
This is the best Trader Joe's location in the city . There are rarely any lines and the checkout moves quickly. Great if you don't need a car and take public transit. The inside of the store is spacious, I'm never bumping carts unlike the other TJ locations in the city. There always seems to be many employees around to help and they sanitize everything well. This location also always has an amazing selection of cheap plants!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This Trader Joe's is located close to Union Square. It's in the basement but that doesn't stop people from coming in. It has all your favorites.

Yelp
Reason for coming here: LUNCH. I'm super lucky that I work nearby this Trader Joe's. This will be your best/cheapest option for lunch. This place sells healthy lunch options such as wraps, salads, sandwiches, soups (needs to be heated), cold pasta, veggie sushi, and spring rolls for like under $5! After a buddy and I were trying to find ways to do lunch on a budget nearby, we decided on buying 2 wraps, and 2 drinks. It came out to be around $13! That's like the same amount if I went and picked up lunch elsewhere by myself. Although Trader Joe's does not have a seating area to eat, you can just walk up a block over to the Yerba Buena Park where there are plenty of grass and benches to sit on and enjoy your food. Oh sure, I definitely come here for my regular grocery needs, too. Planning a last minute get together? They have a find selection of cheese and charcuteries, a lots of alcoholic beverages to chose from. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Oh and I appreciate that although this location is in pricey SF, the prices are the same as any other Trader Joe's stores. Oh and yes, the lines do get very long, but they go by very quickly as the staff are super efficient with lots of registers open. I love you so much, Trader Joe's.

Yelp
Date: 12/22/2017 Time: 4:30 PM. 55° Partly sunny After leaving the Marriott Marquis, I was surprised to see a Trader Joe's across the street at the Old Navy site. Well, there was no way I could be at the Ferry Terminal at 4:30 PM to board the ferry at the same time I was at Trader Joe's. The next ferry leaving the dock is scheduled to depart at 5:20 PM. Okay, I have some time on hand to browse and purchase a few items before taking that walk on Market Street to the ferry terminal. I found out from one of the employees (greeter at the front entrance) that this business has been opened since February 2017. I love Trader Joe's and what it has to offer to its customers. I have been to the ones in Alameda, Oakland (Lakeshore area) and Emeryville, but this one in the City takes the cake and is by far the best I have seen. It is very spacious and well lit. The aisles are not as narrow as other Trader Joe's. The produce section has an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, assorted prepared salads, plastic containers of cut up fruit (pineapple, apples, melons, mango chunks, etc.), berries, salad greens. Other food items include meats, poultry, seafood, cheeses, artisan breads, baked goods, cereals, snacks, beverages, frozen foods; paper products, cleaning supply, personal health products. I did a second check-in earlier to browse thoroughly. I had more time on hand to shop without rushing around. The check out line is long. However, the line does move quickly, as there are at least 10 to 12 cashiers serving the customers. Even though this is not the closest Trader Joe's to my home, there will be more visits to this part of Market Street for shopping, dining and pounding the pavement. Public transportation is so convenient (BART, AC Transit to the terminal for a Muni bus, Ferry Terminal and a hop on the F trolley, Muni buses #5, #6, #21) to this destination.

Yelp
Horrible service the "security" at the front door needs to fired immediately . He was so rude and disrespectful and the self proclaimed "manager" needs to reevaluated because when he did come up he just let the security keep yelling at us and didn't resolve the issue at all. I say self proclaimed because his name badge said crew/team member. So my sister and I went there yesterday and was immediately stopped at the door and told we weren't allowed in the store and when we asked why he said "we are not allowing teenagers into the store" and saying how we're banned for now and also we need a adult with us to shop. Mind you I am not a teenager I am eighteen years old I shouldn't need adult supervision to shop in the store. I still try to walk in the store so I can speak with a manager and he starts to get physical and starts pushing me. My sister and I are basically getting pushed around by the security for literally no reason at all. But when the "manager" finally came up with security he looked like he didn't want to help anyone. So we're explaining to the man we don't know why we're not allowed in the store we didn't do anything and I haven't been to the store in weeks then the manager starts saying to the security "yea I don't recognize these girls have you seen them?" and the security responds with "they all look the same I don't know" basically making me believe so the security is trying to keep a certain groups of girls out of the store which isn't me nor my sister bc she was just there by herself a couple of days ago. security very unprofessional and I will be calling the store today to speak with the real manager hopefully and get all their names.

Yelp
Trader Joe's is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. I am a fan of their stores as have been to several of them in CA, CO, & OR. While I feel Trader Joe's could be even better if they had a bulk section they still get the job done. This particular Trader Joe's in SoMa is a short walk away from the Powell St BART & is located in the basement of an Old Navy store. This Trader Joe's is huge & is the biggest Trader Joe's store I have been to. The store layout is wonderful as is very spacious & doesn't feel crowded at all. Some Trader Joe's stores I have been in sells most all of their produce packaged in prepackaged in plastic yet found here that the majority of their produce was loose & like it much better that way. The produce section here is super dialed & is probably the best produce section that I have seen at any Trader Joe's store. Check out here was interesting as the line was super long like crazy long as it reminded me of going to Disney World for the first time back in the day seeing the crazy long lines for the rides there like waiting on line to go on Pirates of the Caribbean....Go Raiders! So the line did move fairly fast as they have an interesting system here. There are 18 cashiers holding down 18 check out lines. There is no self check out here yet the system here works. Each cashier holds up a red & white racquetball racket w/ a numeral on it (e.g. check out line #9). When it is your turn in line you see the cashier holding up the number & proceed there for check out. I rather prefer to check out w/ a cashier as at other check out lines if you go to the self check out line there is usually always a case where a customer has trouble w/ the self check out system that will inevitably hold up the line. Besides that cashiers are more personable & smile. Here's to staying analog in a digital world. I will be sure to visit this Trader Joe's again sometime soon & definitely worth a visit here if in the SoMa.

Yelp
This place is amazing. They really need to open a store here in Honolulu! They have no idea how busy that store would be. PLEASE come to Honolulu!

Yelp
This is my go-to Trader Joe's and arguably one of the busiest locations. It's centrally located and great for popping in for quick needs or a full grocery haul! That said, it can get a little crowded but the store is larger than other Trader Joe's stores in the city and the staff does a great job of streamlining entry and check-out, with plenty of stations and a very organized line. This location is always very clean and pretty well-stocked! I can pick up all my usual buys and they generally get in new products quickly at this TJ's, too. I love that they offer some amazing name brand vegan products like Impossible Meat, Miyoko's Cream Cheese and Dr. Praeger's Veggie Burgers at much better prices than other big box stores. Some of my must-haves here are the Japanese Style Fried Rice, Spicy Lentil Wrap, Teeny-Tiny Avocados, Sunflower Seed Cups, Cashew Pieces, Crunchy Peanut Butter and the Salt & Vinegar Kettle Chips, but the list could go on and on! I always end up filling up my cart at this Trader Joe's and the price tag is never over around $100. You can't beat the prices and quality you'll find at TJ's, not to mention the upbeat and friendly customer service -- they're a staple for a reason!

Yelp
I'm excited we have a Trader Joe's within walking distance now, along with Target and Whole Foods - a great trio! TJs, as it's lovingly called, is a standard grocery store with two differences: (1) they mostly have their own branded items, and (2) they have way more instant, microwavable, and/or frozen meals. As part of that, they also have a ton of great appetizers and snacks, perfect for hosting parties. This location is a bit smaller than the one on 9th and Harrison, as it's just a small room downstairs below the GAP on 4th and Market, but it's great to have the location here. They are still open during COVID-19, and seemed to have pretty good precautionary measures in place - limiting the number of people, spraying down everyone's hands when they walk in, and providing disinfecting wipes for the carts,

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO DOGS - violates all health codes. Let me preface this by saying I'm a dog lover, even own one myself, but I do not bring her to places where it's against the health code to have animals. There is a sign clearly posted outside of the store saying service animals only, and yet, every time I go to this location (which is on average 4x a week after work), I see multiple dogs in here which are clearly not service animals (I can tell cause they're puppies, dogs sniffing the foods in the lower shelves, dogs are sitting in the food carts, etc - behavior not consistent with what service animals are trained for). There is a security guard standing by the door that just lets people walk in with dogs and doesn't say a word. I've seen staff inside the store chatting away with pet owners, PETTING the dogs. I sure hope the wash their hands before handling any of the stock in the store.

Yelp
Love TJ's. A biggie is that they take their Covid precautions seriously, as mentioned in several other posts. Another one is that they have these treats for homosapiens, like aisles of it, truly a wonder. I just scarfed the last container of fruit jellies in record time--which was a new find, I might add. I mean, I live by myself, but it does sort of feel like I have a roommate, 'I'm like, who ate it all? This ain't cool.' These jellies had real fruit juices in them so you can just imagine the intensity from each bite, and I know these are real because I eat fruits all the time. So I need to go back to the TJ's store but this time, me's getting two containers. Screw this going back and forth business, na-uh.

Yelp
A search for watermelon brought me to Trader Joe's. I eat a lot of candy (mainly gummy and sugary candies), but I decided to give all that up to coincide with Lent. (I'm not Catholic, but I wanted to test my will power.) To satisfy my sweet tooth, I stopped by on Wednesday, March 1st around 1:45pm. Now I've only been to a Trader Joe's about twice in my life prior to this visit, so I had no idea what they would have. I've heard their produce isn't that great. Luckily, one of the first things I saw when I walked in were mini watermelons! Score! I specifically wanted a whole small watermelon, so this was perfect. And only $3.29 each. (I hate precut melons as I think they are super overpriced.) I brought it back to work, cut it in half, grabbed a spoon, and ate the whole thing. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth and kept my gummy addition at bay. Glad there's finally a grocery store closer to work. Though I didn't explore TJs much, I see myself coming back to grab more things.

Yelp
OHHH my god! This is the BIGGEST Trader's Joe ever~!! I wish that all the TJ near me was this big, organized, well stocked and fast at the register. This location has 20 registers, so yes, once you are ready to check out the line is super intimidating, but have no fear, the line goes SUPER quick, all of the registers are open! This location is across from my hotel, which is amazinggggg! I picked up water and some snacks for my stay. Customer service was great, I had assistance with finding things, then later when I got rung up the sales associate was also very nice and friendly. Price: is reason, same as everywhere else Parking: unknown Interesting: they are located 'under ground'

Yelp
So happy Trader Joe's is now open in the Basement of Old Navy on 4th/near Market St. I can do whatever I want in SF, then shop at TJ before taking Bart back home. I didn't notice any freebies for opening day, they have the regular demo which has free samples, I didn't try any of the offerings there. You take the escalators down into the basement, they also have an elevator. I didn't check for bathrooms, will check next time I'm there. The store is pretty big inside, clean, lots of cashiers when you're ready to check out. Hrs: Daily 8am-9pm

Yelp
From an SF lunch perspective, this is the best bargain basement in town! Where else can you get a Greek salad for $2.99 around this area? It doesn't exist, except here! Granted you must go in adn wait in a massively long line to check-out. But good thing there are plenty of cashiers to move the queue along faster than all the other TJ's I've been to! The good thing about this TJ is that the prices are the same here as any other TJ in the Bay Area. I didn't see a price increast due to location location location. And it seems the shelves are stocked pretty well to keep shoppers happy. I guess I'll be back again!

Yelp
I love this Trader Joe's. Although it is always busy the checkout line goes really fast. The cashiers are always friend and never seemed rushed.
