D.C. Whole Foods Stays Open Even as Company Confirms Workers Have COVID-19 | Eater DC

"About half a mile from the Logan Circle store, a Trader Joe’s on 14th Street NW temporarily closed for deep cleaning after reporting an employee tested positive for COVID-19." - Gabe Hiatt

Google
My first time at a Trader Joe's and it did not disappoint. Got some goodies for the family, can't wait for them to try it. The flow through the store was also so obvious and I enjoyed going through it!

Milan Y.

Google
Already an amazing Trader Joe’s, but today on a busy Sunday Laj was absolutely fantastic. She genuinely connected with me during my check out while also packing my items so carefully but quickly. Truly made my Sunday

Lorien S.

Google
Back to Trader Joe’s for some lunch and snacks. Tried their Tabbouli Salad and it is super delicious, opted for a yoghurt to go along with it and had to get one more packet of the Peanut Butter Pillows to take home with me. Delicious!

Late evening walking back from The Spot! Well look who i spotted just chilling, offering up goods and services. It was ol pappy Trader Joe Lol. Plenty of beautiful people getting delicious food and treats and more. Clean Store Great Energy.

Google
One of my favorite locations. Really busy but clean store, friendly staff and everything’s full stocked. Wide variety of frozen items, wine, produce and flowers. Very quick and efficient check out process. Even with a +20 person check out line it moved really quickly

Google
Big place. Enjoyed walking inside and looking at the range of items. Bought a very delicious Kombucha drink. But interestingly, no more eggs.

Google
My first ever Trader Joe’s, would be a 5 star review but a lot of the shelves weren’t faced and a few employees seemed bothered when I asked where product was. Loved the selection!

Google
Very clean excellent location, Great customer service, full of all kinds of merchandise. Good thing this location is not very busy. Fresh bread lots of variety of vegetables and other items.

Yelp
No week is complete without making a stop to a TJ's. The pros of this location: 1) parking for 90 minutes 2) service with smiles 3) fresh fruits and vegetables 4) fresh flowers 5) endless supply of TJ snacks. The staff is constantly restocking the shelves. 6) need is I say more? Cons- none If you're on the band wagon of TJ bags, they currently have the mini coolers. Get them while you can. #ilovetj

Yelp
This TJ's has everything you need to survive - breakfast stuff like bagels, cream cheese, fruit and muffins - standard supplies like eggs, meat, cheese and spices - a handsome wine and liquor selection - a parking lot downstairs! Every Trader Joe's offers fun snacks and drinks but it's the customer service that sets this location apart. Harry was SO kind to my family and me. We asked many annoying questions and he answered every one, made helpful recommendations and was soo patient with my child. Thank you Harry and everyone at this location!

Yelp
As you enter you are welcomed by a beautiful array of flowers! I have to purchase a bouquet every time I stop in. I love that they offer them in small quantities and large so you are able to create your own bouquet. They last past the 7 days of freshness other store flowers seem to last. The variety of options within the store really tickle my fancy! I love slowly strolling through checking up and down every aisle. When I come to Trader Joe's I'm always much more patient than I am in other stores, must be something in the air!! I absolutely recommend everyone take a weekly trip into a Trader Joe's. Unfortunately for me I live in Waldorf, Md and have to travel at least 35 min to my nearest location. I wish we'd get a location near me.

Yelp
1st time shopping at Trader Joe's was here at this location in Washington D.C back in 2012. During this time, I spent several months living here in DC and working whilst finishing my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis. My experience here was surreal. I remember how staff were incredibly gracious, kind, and polite. I purchased several food items including a take home pizza, breakfast and dinner foods. In addition, I purchased a sturdy bag this way I could walk back to my apartment with all purchases. In conclusion, I find this specific location to have been clean, organized, and maintained by all store employees. Thank you Trader Joe's.

Yelp
The Monteli Pizza Crust Trader Joes used to carry has been discontinued. Put your John Hancock on this petition so we can get it back! https://chng.it/L2kQH2ctLS

Yelp
TJ's has yet to disappoint me, from the swift service to the quality of items in stock.
google avatar

Sharon C.

Yelp
Love shopping at TJ's!! The atmosphere is friendly, there are lots of organic choices, and the produce is fresh. The employees are always hopping -- keeping the store clean and well stocked. I especially appreciate that they let you return produce that is questionable once you open the package. It is our go-to grocery store!! Yummmm!!
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
About a 1-1.5: I wasn't a fan of this TJ's, as the staff seems to be a bit unfriendly, and the place gave off some super low energy vibes. Instead of trekking to my usual TJ location, I noticed that this particular location was nearby so I decided to do a quick grocery run - I did manage to find a few of the items I wanted/needed, but there were some items that were not available. Not as crowded as I thought, but I did go in the morning. There is an underground garage where you have up to 90 minutes of free parking - no validation needed. Just note that the spaces are a little narrow/tight. +unfriendly staff +free 90-minute underground garage parking available
google avatar

Leroy R.

Yelp
My new favorite obsession!!! This is so good and goes with everything. I like to pair it with the teriyaki or organs chicken from Trader Joe's. Please check this item out!
google avatar

Maya P.

Yelp
Just like most Trader Joe locations, this location has a great open floor plan. Fresh flowers, clean environment. Super friendly staff, and lots of great produce, and space to move around.
google avatar

Jack H.

Yelp
Everything is well stocked, clean, and they have plenty of registers to keep the line moving quickly even during an evening rush.
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
Trader Joe's is amazing, but this location is just ok. They are always well-staffed and the line goes quickly. The staff are usually not very friendly. Many will try to avoid ringing you up.
google avatar

Constance L.

Yelp
The most friendly staff!!!!! A really nice employee answered all our wine questions and gave us some great recommendations for our preferences and budget. Then everyone at the registers was so cool and made our night even better :) Disposable utensils by the exit.

Yelp
This is the first Trader Joe's store i visited when stayed in DC back in 2021. It is nice as any other their store. Usually crowded in late afternoon or evening.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an update. Trader Joe's is getting much better about carrying gluten free sweets. They have vanilla meringue cookies which I recommend to anyone. They have gluten free muffins which are outstanding.
google avatar

Shani H.

Yelp
Came here to grab a few snacks while staying with a friend. I grabbed a wrap and some truffle chips. It would be nice if they had a larger selection of prepared snacks but I was still happy with what I was able to grab.

Linda T.

Yelp
thank you, Trader Joes for the free parking, fresh flowers and plants, hard working stock and register staff, and both new and trusted favorites like wine options, peanut butter I use to dose Pup with meds, roasted garlic hummus, and almond cluster cereal.

Yelp
I love this place! Employees were very helpful! This is my second time coming here so I'm not very familiar with the store. I was kind of upset the discontinued the dried string beans, I told my picky eater there were chips. Nevertheless, it has pretty much everything you need. I also like how the freezers are opened like "coolers" rather than doors. It seems larger when because it has an open concept! Lots of wine . Also the prices weren't too bad. It's a very great store to visit. Also the have refrigerator sushi but it taste fresh. I would recommend this place for weekly shopping, lunch, and all of you grocery needs! Only downside was my cashier wasn't great he didn't greet me neither did the two people sitting behind the counter. But the floor sales team was super helpful! That's why i didn't give 5 stars!

Yelp
Love TJ's. We had lunch reservations at a restaurant nearby and decided to drop by TJ's since it was convenient. They have awesome quality ingredients. Great selections. Excellent prices. Neat and organized store. Free samples. Clean restrooms. Super friendly and helpful employees. The cashiers always do an amazing job bagging our goods neatly and holding a nice conversation with us.
google avatar

Jackie V.

Yelp
Solid Trader Joe's for a city. There is free parking in the garage and an elevator to bring your cart up and down. The store is tight and the line can wrap around the store but it moves quickly. Like any TJs there are unique food options and lots of options. My favorite things are the frozen meals - Mac & Cheese, Frozen lasagna, Orange Chicken & Pad Thai. The cashiers are fast and super friendly. During COVID they are keeping people in a safe distance before entering, giving everyone hand sanitizer, washing down carts and asking folks to bag their groceries outdoors (if they use their own bags). These precautions make me feel safer going into the grocery store.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
Recently moved to the area and decided to stop in. Love the layout easy to find everything and staff is super helpful and prompt. Line flows through the aisles you can still get your shop on when you're waiting in line. Fair warning just as any other grocery store the after work rush is real so be prepared to not be in and out when you stop in after work on a weekday.

Yelp
My 3rd times a charm visit & all that began well, ended well. With an unexpected relative coming into town, I knew that Brunch would be on the agenda, so I mentally game planned my TJ's run that would have me only a few blocks away from our restaurant. Off the Metro - Green Line & in the oh so popular U-Street Corridor, TJ's is located a few businesses down from the McDonald's. As an avid Metro rider, I can only imagine the parking quirks, hence seeing the many people in sneakers carrying their TJ's recyclable bags & pulling carts. Of the norm, I was surrounded by the floating Hawaiian T-Shirts worn by the most friendliness, outgoing & willing to help employees. The clutter free isles even with stocking in progress is always a plus & easy accessibility within the smaller layout, gets the 5 stars. The extra star for this location oppose to MD stores, you'll find a plentiful presence of wine, beer & champagne. Due to the process of getting in line to check out looks like a woven trail, the wait is not long at all. If I'm not mistaken one of the employees specifically serves as the market traffic controller. In addition to my normal pick up items, there were a few items I was in search of & truly appreciate the Customer Service deck accessing their handy computer system to check & double check on my behalf. Another fun benefit with this location is the tasting of vino. Not sure if it's a coincidence, however the colorful Celeste seems to be staged in the same place offering wine samples with each of my visits here. She knew her sampling stuff as while she was giving me a sip or two of the Wines of the Day (Disclaimer: I made that up, may not be a daily thing) she shared insight on the bubbly aspects as well. "Why spend a lot of money when you are mixing it with orange and grapefruit juices", was her engaging jest as she offered me a few selections to choose from. For the last minute "Shoot, I forgot to get" & a quick notion to an eagerly employee, will either get the item for you or seek someone to get it...amazing teamwork all day long. Regardless of the geo-location of my TJ's excursions, my shopping experience is always a positive. & I most certainly get internally tickled when I check out, as the abundance of goodies I am purchasing supersedes the amount deducted from my wallet aka Apple Pay.

Yelp
This is the first Trader Joe's I've ever entered, circa 2014. As someone who has spent the majority of their life in food deserts, my first time seeing a Trader Joe's consisted of me saying, "Oh yeah," and keeping it moving. Nowadays I shop at Trader Joe's but I have to cross a river to do so since there isn't near my parts but that's that. So, one night after leaving The Source I needed to grab some non dairy milk and some dairy yoghurt. True story. The trip was painless. The store was clean, everything was stocked and staff was so cool. I was literally out there in a matter of minutes. I can't see myself rating the store with 5 Stars since I didn't buy too much and I can't speak on much else. Well I will say that the Feta Spinach pizza was trash but everything else went well.

Maya W.

Yelp
This is an efficient Trader Joe's location. I tend to go during busy hours (Sunday midday) and I never have to wait for longer than 5 minutes in line. The staff members are also super friendly, and always put a smile on my face at checkout. The employee handing out the blueberry cheese samples today had great energy about her, and really sold me on the item! I hope this location finds my review so they can share this compliment with her.

Yelp
I usually make a quarterly trip to the TJ's to stock up on items that are hard to get at my neighborhood Harris Teeter. As everyone else has said, this place seems to be perpetually packed, although I can't ding the store for that. Despite the fact that the line usually wraps around at least two aisles, I'm always pleasantly surprised at how quickly the cashiers process everyone. My favorite thing about this location is that they're never out of anything! I typically come in for crumpets (because I'm secretly British), cereal bars, sugar and spices, and their frozen items (which are about the only food I ever eat that's not fresh...their frozen food is actually legit). Everyone is usually pretty friendly, especially considering that they serve 38738292 customers a day. When the Capitol Hill location is built, I'm sure I'll transition my business over there, but it's nice to be able to hop in here and get what I need.

Yelp
Parking security harasses you. Spent about 20 mins in Trader Joe's, bought about $60 worth of stuff put them in my trunk and picked up a coffee right outside before heading back to my car and as I'm pulling out of the garage, security walks out right in front of my vehicle. I roll down my window and the first thing he said to me is "do you have a Trader Joe's receipt?" No "Hi, good afternoon" or ANYTHING. He proceeded to say "this garage is for Trader Joe's customers." I told him I am a customer and just spent about 20 mins in there. He said "where is the receipt?" And I told him it is in the bag in the trunk. I opened the trunk to go get it and then he said "you don't need to show me the receipt". If I don't need to show you the receipt, what was the reason for you harassing me about one in the first place? Makes no sense. He then said "we get calls and messages about people who are not customers and are parked down here." So I said "did you get a call or message about me or my vehicle? Could you please show me?" He had nothing to show and condescendingly followed with "Look. I'm just telling you how this works. Bye". All of this makes me think twice about coming to this location. Purchase receipt posted for proof. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR SECURITY STAFF ON HOW TO APPROACH AND TALK TO PEOPLE.

Yelp
NIce, brand new store! friendly employees. Be careful of the parking garage as the turn coming into and out of the garage is very tight! Love having Trader Joe's closer to home!!

Yelp
It's a 3 because I know what a Trader Joe's is supposed to be like. And this location is just pretty lean. First, parking is non-existent. This is precisely why many D.C. Residents go to Virginia for Trader Joe's. Second, they didn't seem to have some items that are usually in all the Trader Joe's I've been to. Gorilla Munch, which happens to be gluten free and really good, is not stocked here. The employee had no idea what we were talking about. It's one of the first kid cereals that was really good that Trader Joe's stocked. What's up with that? A 3 is average and as a grocery store, this store is better overall than some grocery stores but not average for a Trader Joe's. Using a sophisticated calculation system, I've come to the conclusion that this location is "alright" but far from great. Final Words: Unfortunately, a bit disappointing.

Yelp
I love Trader Joe's and being close to this store was one of the reasons why I picked the place I stayed during my stay in DC. It is a great location being nearby U street train station. The employees are nice as usual and the asiles are spacious enough to shop comfortably. Off peak is the morning time during weekdays but the line goes fast even during the peak time.

Yelp
LOVE Trader Joe's!!! The team there is super nice, and they are super efficient in moving everyone through the long line... Excellent, affordable flowers and plants. I buy flowers every two weeks to make my own arrangements for under $10. Things I'd recommend: - low-salt organic soups - high-fiber bran flakes (and they have Weetabix!) - plantain chips - bags of organic apples - wine and beer isle (though they no longer carry a pinot noir that I bought once and loved) - pre-cut butternut squash - brussels sprouts stalks - bags of potatoes - sweet potatoes @$.70 - organic, crunchy Valencia peanut butter - frozen, chocolate bananas - dark chocolate coffee beans - their sponges and reusable, washable rag/towel Things I'd skip: - frozen single-serve Indian cuisine (better to order from Le Mirch) as it's like 5 small chunks of meat - the soy alternative cheese (I failed to read the back of the bag - it's not vegan because it contains milk! And it just tastes gross)... I'm not vegan, but I try my best to limit my consumption of milk as it's NOT natural for humans (specifically, Asians) and really isn't ever going to be a humane product

Yelp
LOVE this place with all my heart. I always come here. The staff is amazing, they ensure that you are receiving what you need and tell you when the item you want is coming next. With the Covid-19 situation, the store is doing a splendid job at keeping customers far apart with distance, and allowing only a certain amount into the store. They are also speedy with the process. So if you go and there's a line, you will not have to wait more than 20 mins. They are excellent at handling the situation during this difficult time.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this Trader Joe's! Not only is the food amazing and the prices low, but the people who work there are fantastic. Employees are very helpful and I can always count on one of them to grab me a bottle of Veuve Clicquot from the back (the perfect gift for any occasion at under $50, when wine stores are selling them for $75). I can also count on Trader Joe's for the best selection of frozen meals. The lamb vindaloo and frozen garlic naan are beyond delicious. Try to come early in the day or during your lunch break to avoid the rush. Sometimes at the end of the day, items can be out of stock. There is also free parking under the store, but the number of spaces are limited. Bring your own bag also! For each reusable bag you bring, they take 5 cents off your purchase!

Yelp
This review is solely regarding Trader Joe's floral department and specifically Mitzi and Stacy, the managers, who made my wedding flowers beautiful and affordable. A few weeks before the wedding, I called and spoke to Mitzi, telling her I was getting married and asking if she thought they would have white and pale blue flowers for the bouquets. She offered some suggestions and said she would order a few extra for me--just stop in the day before and they would be there. On that day they were there as promised and so was Stacy, who helped me pick out the flowers, blue and white hydrangeas, white tulips and blue irises (incidentally, my three favorite flowers!), the appropriate number of each and design the bouquets. She sought out the whitest, the palest blue and even searched in the back to find the perfect blooms. We both cried as we gathered a representative bouquet--they were so beautiful! Stacy gave me buckets to transport them home and advised me on proper care so they would look just as fresh for the wedding ceremony the next day. She checked me out ($68 for 5 wedding bouquets!!) and walked me to the door to wait for my Lyft. She even offered to help me load the car. Such service and such an asset to Trader Joe's! Mahalo Stacy!

Yelp
What's not to love about Trader Joe's?! I can find everything I need and also some surprise superb new items whenever I shop at TJs. With competitive prices, healthy food options, and helpful staff members, TJs is my primary spot for grocery shopping. Yes, the checkout line can get pretty long during peak hours, but don't dart out the store quite yet! They are VERY efficient with their checkout process at TJs, and the line moves surprisingly fast! I stop by this TJs weekly, and I have a positive experience every time.

Yelp
Trader Joe's is the kind of place that even if you intend not to buy something, 15 min later your month's groceries are resting precariously on your arms because you didn't think you'd need a basket or cart. That's where I found myself trying to push a wine bottle on the floor because my hands were so full. One of the employees bailed me out and brought me a basket. Came here one afternoon mid week and it wasn't packed. Just as wonderful inside as any other Trader Joe's I've been to. Got my typical pizza dough (A MUST TRY) which ended up being 10 cents cheaper than in NC. So cool! And of course got more stuff. I was with a friend and telling her all the different foods she should try and I realized HOW MUCH I've actually had at TJ. It's a LOT. But how can you not. It's so amazing!!! I have spent the last 2 years making this pizza and it has been a HIT among anyone who has tried it. It's time I share the recipe as a basic service to humanity. If anyone you make it for doesn't like it, please stop talking to them, walk away and never look back. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. TRY THIS RECIPE and PLEASE let me know what you think: (This can easily feed 3-4 individuals and sill have some left overs) 1. 1 bag Pizza dough (garlic herb or whole wheat are my faves. Only $1.19 EACH!!!!!!) 2. Pesto (the refrigerated one by the pizza doughs). Literally THE BEST pesto I've ever had 3. Jalapeno chicken sausage (any of their chicken sausage is delicious but last time I made the pizza I tried the jalapeno chicken sausage for the first time and it was delicious). I usually cook the sausage first so it doesn't have to go through the entire cooking process in the oven with the dough 4. You can also try their pepperoni, it's really good 5. Regular goat cheese 6. Mozzarella +/- whatever other cheeses you'd like (3 cheese blend perhaps) Following the baking instructions for the dough (and cooking the chicken sausage ahead of time), your pizza is ready in 10-15 min. Feel free to message me for specifics. But check out the pics too. They don't really do the pizza justice but I promise you you'll be the hit of the party AND it's cheap!! Next time I'm making it with gouda!

Yelp
One night, I was meeting up with someone for dinner at 7:30pm and they texted me at the last minute to bring some cheap wine and chicken stock. Luckily, this Trader Joe's was on the way. So I scootered over, strapped on my mask, went in. By the time, I got there it must have been after 7 already. Time was running out and mind you, I had never bought any of those things from TJ's before. Nonetheless, finding every item was so intuitive that I was able to find everything on the first try, hop in the line, call a Lyft to get me from there, and get checked out all with my bill less than $10. I showed up for dinner at 7:35pm with the goods in hand!

Yelp
Trader Joe's is one of my all time favorite grocery stores- the quality of food is usually great, there's a large variety of snacks for good prices, and the staff are friendly. While this TJ's is in a very busy location, don't get scared by the long lines- the employees are so quick that the line dies down quickly. I also love that you can sample some featured snacks, as well as wine (with ID of course). I love TJ's cheese selection, as well as the frozen foods - my favorites are the mac and cheese, farfalle, and mandarin chicken!

David W.

Yelp
So I askNew to DC. Invited the neighbors to stop for wine. I thought I would grab a few snacks and a couple bottles of wine so I tried Trader Joe's for the first time. Now I have two simple questions: 1. Why is the company even in business? 2. Who are the morons that pay a premium to shop there? Started by asking the produce guy if they had any pre-cut crudites? He and his co-worker said they never heard of crudites. When I explained they said why don't I cut my own. Proceeded to the cheese department. The selection was more limited than any generic super market I've been to in the last 20 years. When I asked if they had any chutney to serve with the cheese 3 different workers said they had no idea what chutney was. Went next to the bake goods where I hoped to but a crispy baguette to serve with the cheese. All of the bake goods were pre-packaged and soft and soggy. Last I tried the wine section. Couldn't find any premium wines priced at more than $20. So I ask: Why would anybody shop here? I'm not a great fan of Whole Foods or Fresh Market, but they are so much better. Oh, I forgot. The employees were nice even if they didn't know anything.

Yelp
Trader Joe's is a great store. I don't love this particular location, however, due to its very odd layout.
google avatar

Alexia H.

Yelp
I hate the grocery store but Trader Joe's on U st or TJ as I have grown to affectionately call it has changed my perspective. The people that work there make the experience so rewarding, always pleasant and friendly and willing to provide top notch customer service. I love that they'll let you sample ANYTHING in the store which helps with making decisions. The store brand items are always made with wholesome ingredients which makes me feel great about my purchase. The only complaint is that they get stupid busy on the weekends and some weekdays so expect a lot of people. The line always moves fast though.
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
My favorite grocery store in dc for the new and fun products they are always coming out with at extremely affordable prices. This one does get pretty busy with the line wrapping around multiple isles at peak hours. Everything is usually stocked except for Sunday when it seems like all of dc is grocery shopping for the upcoming week.
google avatar

DON C.

Yelp
It's amazing how much they pack into this store! I have been a huge fan of Trader Joe's and this has to be one of the best locations in the DC area. Trader Joe's is one of the few grocery stores in the city, where you can spend $50 bucks and actually have lots of food (something edible) in your purchase....other than seasonings, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and dishwashing liquid. I mean...have you ever gone to the grocery store, spent a $100 dollars, and left out of there with barely anything edible to last you for a week??!...lol...I have and would be scorned! Oops, sorry...I digress. At any rate, this is not the case at this grocery store. To be such a small store it is the most efficient grocery store that I have ever been to! It is always so well organized, fully stocked and the lines to check out move super fast!...A true time-saver and benchmark that other stores should follow if you ask me. It is like night and day, in comparison to a Giant or Safeway food store where one can be in the checkout lines forever! And, let's not talk about the "first of the month"....if you catch my drift. The customer service is on point, always friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable pretty much about all the products that are in the store. The produce is always fresh, the selection of items are well-stocked and the meats are quality cuts. Not to mention, the prepared dinners and meals in the frozen section are incredible and some of the best finds around when it comes to looking for a quick-fix to dinner. Honestly, this place has saved me many of nights coming home from work late and not having the time to cook something healthy. You name it...Marsala Chicken, vegetable-shrimp lol mein, duck confit, gourmet pizza, blackened salmon...and the list goes on and on. The place has it all...at prices unheard of for the quality. You are bound to find everything you need here and more. Also, I find that they go out of their way to check their stock or locate just about any item that you're interested in that is missing from the shelf. The only downside to this location, is the parking. The parking garage at this location can get really bad (tight) and on weekends somewhat congested to enter/exit. But in all, this is one of my favorite grocery chains and store locations to shop for groceries. Not to mention, the "Two Buck Chuck" wines (now $3.60) are the best deal around for keeping the wine cellar stocked for guest and friends popping over! Thanks Trader Joe's for keeping me on budget, great customer service, offering affordable organic food & groceries and most of all.....not costing me to spend a "WT#%!??...Whole Paycheck!" when I leave...like somewhere else I will not mention here! Five stars across-the-board!...because shopping for groceries and prepared dinner meals have never been easier!!

Yelp
This location is a mad house. I've been to a lot of chaotic Trader Joe's, but none like this. The only reason it's getting 4 stars is because the chaos finally becomes organized chaos once you get to the last aisle, which is where the checkout line forms. Fittingly, that's the same aisle where the booze is stacked. By the end of your shopping experience, you'll be driven to drink, so good marketing strategy here.

Yelp
I really have to give five stars to the always lovely and enthusiastic group of workers at Trader Joe's, especially in their dedication to service during the pre-snowstorm madness. I happened to be in the area during the surprise snow we had last Wednesday only to be met with a crazy amount of people in line to get in. Who knew that Trader Joe's was the hottest club in town? To ensure everyone knew what was going on, a man in a Hawaiian shirt stayed outside to direct traffic, open doors, and help people unload their grocery carts...in the freaking sub-zero weather. Once I got in the store, you basically shopped in a single line that filed in and out of the aisles until you reached the cash register. There were TJ employees spread around to answer the questions and while annoying, the general atmosphere in the store was cheerful -- most likely due to the organization of the store. I got to the front store and paid for my groceries without any problem. My only complaint was they were pretty much out of Charles Shaw, which they should have stocked up on if they knew a snowstorm was coming. :) As a parting gift, here is a list of my snowstorm essential grocery list from TJs: - Cookie Butter Ice Cream - Pita Chip Crisps - Tzatiki - Bananas (only 19 cents at TJ's) - TJ Nut Packets - Almond Milk (The TJ brand is my absolute favorite) - Pre-Marinated Carne Asada - A bag of Avocados - Red Onions - Eggs - Sourdough bread - Cookie Butter Cups ...basically anything you can find with the word cookie butter in it.

Yelp
Being here is like playing an irl game of frogger -- just when you think you've made it to the last bag of arugula you are knocked out by the barista from The Wydown. Go here at 9:30pm on a Sunday to avoid getting trampled on by a neighbor.

Yelp
Such a bad service. Went to Trader Joe's ruining my saturday morning. Everything was good until checking out. The cashier had a bad day or something. He threw the recipt and told me to take out the cart quickly. I even didnt have time to put groceries into my bag.

Yelp
Why is Trader Joe's the best grocery store? -The staff is almost always in a great mood and are very helpful, likely because TJ's cultivates a fun atmosphere AND (in general) they offer excellent pay and benefits. -No rewards club, BOGO offers or other discounts. They just have great prices year round on all items, and not searching for little discounts helps reduce information fatigue. -Tons of vegan, cruelty-free options with good labeling. -Great prices! -Lines move faster than other places because they don't weigh produce! -No intercoms. They use bells!

Yelp
The best place to do your grocery shopping! Very good products and produces too. Everything from the apples and eggplants to the canned and frozen food. You can find Indian, Chinese, Mexican products, local beer and a great deal of wine at very affordable price. I never buy wine anywhere else, always in Trader Joe's. The place is sometimes packed and the line super long but it is all around the store so you can get on the line at the beginning and start shopping from there. The people who work there are great and fun. It shows there is a nice place to work too. Highly recommended! PS: Mochis and macaroons!!!

Yelp
Don't let the length of the lines at trader Joes fool you, this place is nothing like FedEx field. The lines move quickly, the food is delicious, and the employees at TJs are unbelievably friendly! On top of all of this, if there's ever any confusion as to where the gargantuan long rush-hour line begins, trader Joes has one of their friendly employees holding a sign. This location has an underground parking garage in which I've never had to wait for a spot. The garage also boasts covered bike parking right next to the guard which takes the trouble and hassle out of biking there. Samples here are always pretty on point - who doesn't want to snack while waiting in line? Not only does TJs offer samples at their sample station, apparently you can request to sample anything non-frozen in the store! The quality to price ration at TJs far surpasses any other grocery store. To top their quality, TJs keeps a wide selection of seasonal goodies in rotation (see pumpkin spice caramels). They feature various lines of international foods of which many of the items are imported. The pear and Marzipan tart from France is a winner... Thanks Trader Jaques! Their direct from Italy wood oven Italian pizzas are better than delivery, or digiornos. Don't even think about stopping by TJs without checking out their frozen offerings! If you only pick up to things, get the sweet potato gnocchi and pie crusts. So why not five stars? This location in particular is often out of a lot of items and even with a fleet of stockers on the floor you can never seem to get quite everything on your shopping list.
