I'll be generous & make my 2 a 2-1/2. I live near this WeHo store & have shopped here since it first opened. (I remember when this TJ's used to be WeHo City Hall). I used to walk there sometimes a couple times a day. However as the quality began to slip, I started shopping at Pavillions again, also on S.M. Blvd, but their prices have gotten seriously out of control. (Pavillions even started raising the prices on their backroom discount shelves!) May sound funny. but it's true. I could give you countess other examples of Pavillions overpriced stuff, but why bother? So I more recently introduced myself to Smart & Final for the 1st time, (also on S.M. Blvd in WeHo) & am very excited about both their products & their prices. And the prices of their fresh bakery goods are excellent. (Pavillion's prices for baked pies went from $8.99 to 9.99 to 10.99 to 11.99 to 12.99 & I think $13.99 now). I think TJ's frozen rice dishes have gone steadily downhill & not only taste from funny to bad, but the vegetables in the rice dishes, after heating, are tasteless & rubbery. Their "Peruvian" rice dish I tried recently was the worst yet. I've tried so many of their frozen dishes that are so bad that I threw them out, so I don't bother to "try" any of them anymore. So now I go to TJ's to buy my wines & their hard liquor when I need it. love their chocolate milk - it's the next best thing to a chocolate shake, & their fresh fruit & vegetables, cartoned juices, eggs, pasta sauce, some salad dressings, potato chips, some boxed cookies, English toffee, flowers & most importantly, doggie treats. So there's plenty for me to still drop by TJ's for, but they're no longer my first choice, which S&F has now become, even tho by default. But I can see that TJ's is still doing big biz at "my" location, so they're obviously doing very well without my reduced number of visits.
