The Best Bars and Restaurants in Saint-Henri | Eater Montreal

"Tran Cantine Vietnamienne may be the only Vietnamese restaurant in the neighbourhood — but it certainly leaves little to be desired. The pho, banh mi sandwiches, and spring rolls are always fresh and flavourful. Be sure to pick up a Vietnamese iced coffee to wash it all down." - Eater Staff

The Best Vietnamese Restaurants for Pho in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"St-Henri’s relatively young Vietnamese snack bar serves a chicken broth soup with rare beef, flank, chicken or bean curd. With a family connection to Pho Tay Ho near Beaubien metro, the place uses quality ingredients, meaning it won’t be the cheaper MSG-hit you might expect (and crave) — but it’ll still be delicious."

The Best Food Events and Deals at Montréal en Lumière 2020 | Eater Montreal

"For Nuit Gourmande (February 22), this casual Vietnamese restaurant will join forces with St-Henri pizzeria Adamo. The result? A positively intriguing “pho pizza”, for just $6.50." - Tim Forster

The Best Montreal Vietnamese Restaurants for Pho and More | Eater Montreal

"The St-Henri newcomer offers upmarket versions of Vietnamese classics like pho and banh mi in a decidedly chic and minimal dining room. While it has only been open a little over a year, it’s already made a name for itself."

The best pho I have ever had & not to be missed. Their chicken, beef and pork are incredibly flavorful in both their Banh Mi’s and their bowls. They have a vegetarian option as well with their homemade tofu. The service is top-notch too. Definitely a spot to check out if you're craving some awesome Vietnamese food!

We were a rather large group of 7 who came to try it for the first time. The place is very airy modern looking and clean but with limited seating. Luckily they have a big table to accommodate our party of 7. Their chicken pho broth is excellent. I didn't need to add any condiments to enhance it which is very rare. I also tried their beef vermicelli salad. Yummy with fresh ingredients. It was so large that I had to take home the leftovers. The staff is very accommodating and friendly.

I think this is a slept on pho spot. You wouldn’t know from outside that this is a LEGIT spot for PHO and Banh Mi It doesn’t look like much, the decor is really simple and bare. But they sure do know how to do their thing! They also have pho broth and mini pho if you’ve got a small appetite and just want to try some stuff out. !really good! It has become one of my go to in the

One of the best viet restaurant in the St henri. Banh mi is a must. It's grilled meat and not cold cuts. Prices are more than fair and portion are pretty generous. There's a few tables to seat but most people take out. Strongly recommend.

Delicious food, good portions, chill ambiance. The pho was flavourful, but 21$ for a bowl of pho was surprising; hinders us from going here as often as we would like. The chicken salad was a favourite.

My go to Vietnamese place. Been going to it since it opened and it’s always amazing! My favourite items on the menu are the rare beef pho and the spring rolls. The ingredients are super fresh and the broths have nice rich flavours. I’d you want delicious Vietnamese food this is your place!

Damn.... THE BEST BANH MI I'VE EVER TASTED (grilled pork flavor only). Wow. And I've eaten thousands I'm sure. It was my first time at this resto and I asked the very helpful staff what were their top two best dishes. He stressed the grilled pork banh mi and mixed beef pho. I was happy to take his advice. Also I did indoor dining rather than take out/delivery to ensure I get the food (and its textures) in the best state possible. First off, the amazing news. The grilled pork banh mi was mindblowing (10/10!!). The higher than average price ($15.00) was more than warranted. I've never tasted a banh mi more savory! Of course the regular staples are there: pickled veggies, cucumber, cilantro, mayo, maggi-ish sauce. It's the pork itself that's an absolute standout. (Can't wait to try the grilled chicken and beef from this place) PERFECTLY charred meat with perfect seasoning. It wasn't overly salty, thank god, but mouthwatering to the point that I can easily say I can eat one of these a day and never get bored. We shall see.... The pho, on the other hand, was slightly above average (7.1/10). The broth was tasty but lacking in personality. I forget how it tastes now other than it was "good but not great." I will provide additional updates with much more experience in the coming months. Can't wait! UPDATE: I went back the following day to get the Grilled Beef Banh Mi (7.0/10) Gotta say, although quite tasty, is a relative disappointment to the pork version. The beef is cut too thick and you really don't get the crispy char texture you get with the pork, which is much thinner sliced with much much better texture. Tomorrow, I shall try the grilled chicken.

Wow. We’re still here but couldn’t wait to give this place all the stars. My half Vietnamese husband is a very tough critic and he said it’s one of the best banh mi he’s ever had. The chicken vermicelli salad was pricey but huge and so fresh and delicious. Strawberry lemonades were the perfect refreshing accompaniment. Loved.
