Lovely afternoon tasting on the patio. Our wine expert B was really informative and easy to talk to.about any questions we had about their wine and vineyards. 5 stars. We will be back and bring more friends.

We were lost! If you've not been to Tranche you'll need to make sure to ask how to get to the tasting room. They have TWO addresses. The most common address (705 Berney Dr) will take you to their exit gate. Don't stop there.. keep going up the road until you come upon the entrance. From there the long driveway to the tasting room might make you feel unsure (keep going). There's parking in a field... don't park there unless the parking area at the tasting room is full (or if you want to). The tasting room feels a bit like a wall until you get inside and find a lovely seat out on the patio. Elizabeth was super understanding of our way finding exercise and promptly supplied us with rosé. She was amazing and so fun to talk to. We enjoyed our experience, the views, and the wine.

Beautiful location and perfect setting for a Friday family fun night on a hot summer day. They had a fun Latin jazz musical group and many people showed up to enjoy the special dishes of food trucks and Tranche’s wine. If you are visiting Walla Walla I would put it on your top 5 things to do in the Walla Walla Valley.

One of the most beautiful venues in Walla Walla to experience live music, great conversations, friendly staff, lovely wines, alcohol free drinks, Fantastic food trucks, Beautiful sunsets and a large bonfire for cooler evenings. Simply a wonderful experience every time!❣️

Absolutely stunning location! Tom was great. Incredibly knowledgeable and a great guide through. 3/5 joined the wine club. Literally love every wine we tasted. Amazing experience. Didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful property down a gorgeous gravel road. We sat downstairs on the patio which I believe is more casual experience.

A fabulous winery! We sampled a small lineup of the wines available and I’m happy to say all of them were fantastic! Marilyn was wonderful and knowledgeable about the wines and the region. The tasting room os large and opens to the patio outside where you can take in the vine covered hills and sip your wine away.

Great wine and friendly staff. Tasting fee is $15 a little steep. At closing the staff opened the wine cellar. It was a great place for pictures and understanding the fermentation process.

Fantastic winery! This was my second time here and I loved it both times! Loved the wine and the tasting room. I'll be back!

White wine was good. Saw a band and sat outside on the lawn. Good music, lovely weather and 4 different food trucks, meat, veg, cheese/crackers.

TAKE THE ATV TOUR!! Tranche is in a gorgeous location on the outskirts of Walla Walla in rolling hills and surrounded by 200 acres of vineyards. If (no, when!) you visit, you'll be met in their swank and hip tasting room by smiling and happy employees that give you a glass of excellent Rose' and then tour you through their impressive and modern production facility as you make your way to the 6 seat ATV. Next, you'll be expertly (and gently) driven through the acres of vineyards, making several stops to sample the white and red wines in the exact locations the grapes that they were made from originated. All while taking in the spectacular scenery in 360 degrees. And then back to the tasting room to revisit any wines that took your fancy in the open air. Reservations are required and worth it.

Lovely vineyard and venue. Friendly waitstaff. If you're in Walla Walla make this your stop. Sit out on the patio and enjoy a tasting, a glass, or a bottle of vino. Or all three. They have grape vines so close you can reach out and have a taste. ; )

Great everything, the view!!! I went on a Saturday and they have a food trucks and live music, so relaxing seating on the lawn while enjoying the music and a glass of wine, the best part is free parking.

Went here with a group of 10 people, we did a tasting of the 2018 Chardonnay, 2019 Pape, 2019 Syrah, and the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. All of the tasting were pretty amazing, the guy that served us educated us pretty well. We left knowing more about wine than ever. We ended up buying a case. The ambiance, live music, and excellent service made the experience very enjoyable.

Tranche means slice and yes, this winery is a slice of heaven. The setting, the service and the wines are all divine. Their rose and Syrah especially but you cant go wrong with any of their options. This is such a beautiful place- if you only have time for one stop be sure it's here.

This place is not very close to down town. But it's well worth the drive. The landscape is beautiful. On a nice day the outdoor seating lets you take it all in. There are places to have wine away from the crowds or you can hang back and have a tasting. We saw a couple buy a bottle and enjoy a little picnic on the grass. It was an ideal spot. The wine and the service is also fantastic. It was hot and sunny so we bought a bottle of the rose but the reds were also excellent.

A must visit if you're in Walla Walla. We had a glass of their red at dinner on our first night and decided to add them to our tasting stops. Beautiful vineyard outside of town. We did a tasting flight (personable/knowledgeable young college students were manning the tasting room) and then got glasses to share as we sat on a covered patio area and wandered the vines closed to the building. We left with a few bottles and will definitely be back on our next trip. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to sit and enjoy the wine and atmosphere!

Very neat, modern tasting room. The grounds are gorgeous. Wine was good, but didn't blow me away. I do recommend though!

The vineyard! The wine! The sheep! That tasting room though.... I would just say go there and you won't be disappointed, but yelp says the people like an elaborate review, so here's the deets: You have to drive a little bit away from downtown Walla Walla, but it's really like 10min max. You drive up on the vineyard like a scene out of wine heaven. Very Napa-like in aesthetics, but definitely Washington in attitude. Meaning they're super cool. You get to see the blue mountain grapes as they grow before you try the wine. The tastings they offer vary depending on season and you don't necessarily have to have a reservation. You can also buy a bottle and have a little wine picnic out in the vineyard near the sheep, with the shade of some really great trees and a picturesque background. I've always loved Tranche wines, but I'm now even more obsessed since I saw how beautiful the vineyard and tasting room was!

This was our first stop of our wine-tasting weekend. We paid for a flight and got: 2014 Chardonnay 2013 Cab Franc 2013 Cab Sauv 2013 Syrah Bonus barrel wine, not to be released until end of 2019. I enjoyed all the wines and did not actually have a favorite. I am not a wine snob, so my pallet is not refined enough to say that any were better than the others, because I thoroughly enjoyed them all. The grounds and landscaping is absolutely beautiful, so we took quite a few group photos outside. I also loved the architecture and the old school Hollywood prints in the tasting room. Bar far, this was one of the lovelier vineyards in the area. And I am a snob about that so that is not a stretch.

The outdoor patio is a lovely option because the indoor space is fairly small. The patio has a number of seating options for groups of different sizes and is a great place to enjoy a tasting or a glass of wine. Everyone was very knowledgeable and the wines are delicious.

We two stopped by on a weekday during COVID-19 Phase 2 restrictions. Reservations were required. WINE: 3.0. We didn't purchase a bottle to take home, which is unusual for us. AMBIANCE: 3.5. We were on the covered outside patio. Though bearable, the ventilation equipment was nearby and slightly noisy, making the low-volume music almost irrelevant. There is a stage located below the patio for performances, and a shaded area with picnic tables further down. The tasting area lies among vineyards, which was nice. The signs inside the vineyard directing one to the tasting room are difficult to read, as they are basically small dark words etched into weathered dark wood; easy to miss, and one must look closely to see the small direction arrows. SERVICE: 3.0. Sincere young man who appeared to have an interest in wine-making.

Lovely views and excellent wines. I really enjoyed the live music out on the grounds. And you are able to bring your own food.

I came in on a Saturday, was hotter than hell and I was not in a good mood. I slipped into the backroom and air conditioning. There was a gent doing a sound check for his performance, I had a glass and had to scoot to a meeting but Tranche is on another level when it comes to wineries and tasting rooms, the grounds and staff are just outstanding and their wines are superb.

Setting is really pretty and the building / tasting room is legit. The customer service is lacking attention to detail, we weren't given water, our cheese board and we're talked down at the whole time. We won't be returning.

Another gorgeous, modern tasting room lured us in but we stayed for the wine! Tranche offered fantastic wines and a generous tasting. We had a very attentive server that spent a lot of time explaining the region, the history of the vineyards, and recommendations for restaurants during our visit. We had a great tasting and left with a bottle of Syrah!

Love the Cab Franc. We bought a bottle. Enjoyed the wine. They waive tasting with bottle purchase.

My husband and I came in yesterday, Friday, and I suppose just missed the tasting menu. We got there before the rush luckily, because at 6 live music begins. We decided to get a bottle of white wine, the roses were sold out that I wanted to try. The vineyard and setting was spectacular and the live music a surprise, but the type of music was not what I would want at a vineyard it was a cover band and did hits of rock and roll new music. We didn't end up staying much past 6 because the music was too much. Such a gorgeous vineyard!

Our group stopped here on a wine trip to Walla Walla. I definitely recommend this spot. The views are awesome. We were all able to sit outside around the fire pit and the whole tasting was very relaxed. Our driver also went and got sandwiches while we were tasting which we were able to enjoy on the patio. I liked all of the wines but I really liked the Cab France and the Pape. A lot of people in our group enjoyed the pink pape. Everyone here was very friendly and it was a warm and welcoming winery.

We loved our time at Tranche... sadly it was 100 degrees out and we couldn't enjoy the outside grounds! The property was amazing and wines delicious. The 2 gals serving were very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We loved our conversations and the wines!

I just love this winery. The vibe, the atmosphere, the staff. Came here a few times on my rotation last year, but now that I'll be here for a full year I am pretty excited to experience the live music and their wines more. A must go to in Walla!

Beautiful property. Ok wine. And terrible customer service. We continually had to flag down the server to give us more tastings. Although it was a hour appointment, plan on 2.5. The woman working told us if we bought a bottle of wine all of our six tasting fees would be waived. As we were walking out we were flagged down, told that we did not pay for all of the tastings.

Unique tasting room with great seating indoor and outdoor! The staff is super nice and knowledgeable as well! Highly recommend a stop here!

Good wines, beautiful setting, and a great upgrade to the building since we were last here 4 years ago. Staff warmed up a bit as we spoke with them; still, the place had a bit of a pretentious air about it. Enjoyed it fine, but not sure it was worth the price.

Tranche had a very nice, modern vibe to it. The tasting was a little expensive given only five tastings, but the outdoor space was expansive, comfortable, and dog friendly (which is #2 for us, next to the wine!). The wine was good, but not my absolute favorite. In the future I think we would've liked a little more to the pour or one extra tasting - but unfortunately didn't get either!

The venue and wine are incredible. They have miniature donkeys and Jackasses disgused as staff. We weren't greeted when we walked in and not one person smiled or made our group feel welcome. Customer service here could use SERIOUS improvement.

upscale and a really pretty space. the tasting room is pretty small, but nicely done. next door, there was an outdoor seating area in a much bigger space. it was smoking hot outside, so we didn't really want to leave the inside area. thought the staff was pretty friendly and was pretty patient with us when one of our party broke a glass. we were early in our trip and none of us purchased any of the wines. i wasn't really familiar with tranche, but there were a few interesting offerings.

Fabulous wine. Tried 207 Blanc Pape & Pape. 2016 syrah & cab franc. Wine won't disappoint!! Not a clunker in the list!!

This was our first stop of the morning. We didn't care for any of the wines, however the views are amazing and the person helping us was very very nice. She gave us helpful suggestions on where to go next and unlike there's didn't seem offended when we didn't purchase anything but the tasting.

Horrible customer service. Had a tasting and had to ask for our pours because the servers were too busy chatting amongst themselves. Everyone was seating outside and no one was inside but they wouldn't come out to serve. Had a wonderful experience the first time but would recommend other places instead who care about customer service

The best thing about the Tranche winery is their outdoor patio, with tables and couches near a show vineyard. You can do your wine tasting there, though you'll need to walk inside for next pours. Tranche wines, although perfectly adequate, are not the best that Walla Walla offers.

Reflecting on a day of winery visits, both my wife and I concluded that Tranche was our favorite. Most importantly, we really enjoyed the wines we tasted--our favorite wine of the day was here. Next to that, the staff in the tasting room was great. They were friendly and knowledgable. The grounds are quite picturesque and the patio is a comfortable place to enjoy your wine. Will put this on top of the recommendation list for all visiting the area!

It's the perfect outdoor setting to enjoy their amazing Rose on a sunny day. Their other wines are great but it's the best Rose we tasted in walla walla. The tasting room is clean and modern setting with a beautiful outdoor patio and were serenaded by the donkey next door.

Researching our first visit to the Walla Walla area, we had noticed this was one of the top 5 wineries to visit in the northwest. I'm not sure why no one has reviewed this winery but we had a good experience and purchased some good wine. The sister winery to Corliss Estates, Tranche was extremely busy with production while we were there. They also had three different construction projects ongoing: 1) double production capacity; 2) build a formal tasting room; 3) build an Arbor on a hill overlooking the entire winery for special events/picnics. Foregoing all the future driven activity, it still comes dow to the wine; and the wine was good. I recommend adding this location to your visit list.

Rhone series tasting was amazing! This is our second trip to purchase 2016 Pink Pape Rose, the ultimate breakfast wine.

Lovely, fairly affordable wine in a beautiful area! Not a great experience dealing with who I'm pretty sure is the wine tasting manager, (woman in her 50s?). Coming in as a young, 20-something wine club member, she's not super accommodating. The other tasting room associates are welcoming, fun and helpful. One cool dude opened up a Tempranillo for us and helped us with a case purchase.

The wines are awesome. Affordable and taste far more expensive than the price point. The wine club options need to expand. It's between a bottle three times a year and three cases three times a year.
