Best Breweries and Taprooms in Bucks County | Eater Philly

"Nestled inside The Fuge in Warminster you’ll find Tranquility Brewing Company. Stop by for a light malt lager or robust chocolate stout and pair your pint of choice with a starter or entree from the brewpub menu, including tempting options such as the stuffed cherry peppers wrapped in bacon or a juicy all-beef burger on a brioche bun." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Pretty awful experience. Arrived 5 minutes after open and the bartender/waitress was not there. Had only 2-3 and two others were basic domestic beers. We were served half beer/ half foam. At one point the son of the bartender came up to our dog and just started petting him. He did not even ask. Luckily he is well behaved. During this nothing was said. It was a bad brewery experience. No beer, bad pours and unacceptable behavior.

Went back to Tranquility again so updating review below. Still a very cool place to go. The beer selection is varied but not overwhelming. The Hazy Space Monkey is a solid Hazy IPA. Similarly, food selection is very good. They have a new menu and Chef Nate took time to explain the new offerings and how they are prepared. We had an Antipasto Platter, Cobb Salad and a Traditional Pizza with Mushrooms, Onions and Spinach. All very good. To top is off, service was excellent. Out bartender (Kylee) couldn’t be nicer or more attentive. ********* Have gone to Tranquility 2 times so far. Located at the former Naval Air Station and in the same building that houses the centrifuge that all the Apollo astronauts trained on makes it a really cool space. They have done a good job with the atmosphere preserving that important time in US history. Beers were very good. Bartenders are vey nice. What also sets Tranquility apart is that they have a real kitchen and full menu. (They don’t rely upon a food truck). Food is good. During our two visits we had: Pizza, Onion Rings, Buffalo Wings, Crab Cake sandwich and Cheese Steak. Recommend going there just to check it out. They give tours of the centriFUGE on Sundays.

The food and beers were delicious. Our service was great, and they are dog friendly, inside and out!

Google
Love the vibes, wings were amazing, and the cosmo with agave was epic! The server was sweet! Live music was engaging and so happy to know dogs are allowed inside and outside! Baby Yoda even fell asleep, he loved it so much! Truly a gem! Check this place out!

My partner and I recently went to Tranquility for dinner, but unfortunately left a little disappointed with our service and meal. We were sat quickly, and had our drink and app order taken quickly as well. The beer and pretzel were very good. After our pretzel came, our table was not approached to have our order taken for another 15 minutes. They only had two waitresses working for the bar, inside and outside eating area. The bar only had two patrons, and the other tables inside had already finished up their meals when we arrived. They may have been understaffed, but we felt forgotten about. My partner and I both ordered the shrimp tacos that came in orders of three for $15. They came rather quickly, but the tortillas were cold to the touch, not that they were room temperature and cooled down, but as if they came directly from the fridge a minute ago. Our leftovers were probably warmer when we left than when they were served to us. Each appeared to have four quarter sized shrimp to them, but the first one I had I think only had 2. It was hard to tell because they were so filled with coleslaw, that they should have been called coleslaw tacos. Giving 3/5 as the pretzel and beer were very good, and other menu options (pizza, burgers, sandwiches) are likely better. I’d just avoid the coleslaw (shrimp) tacos

Google
Great local brewery with food options available. 9 offerings on tap. 7 beers and 2 ciders. Hazy space monkey was my favorite. They do a car show monthly, and tours of the historic centrifuge on Sundays at 1 and 3.

Google
Came here for just beers. Beer was okay, my wife loved her Belgian Blonde but my flight of ipa’s and a stout were meh to okay. Service was super friendly and efficient and the atmosphere, for a space nerd, was kinda cool. Will definitely return if in the area.

Google
Sirius beer, friendly staff, and awesome food. Trifecta for what you want in a brewery! You can also catch a tour of the centrifuge on the weekends if you’re a history buff. Great place to land for launch or dinner to fill that void in your system!

Yelp
My Chem Engineer friend came up again for a visit two weekends ago, and yet again,... where did we go?... ...why, Tranquility Brewing, of course! the ONLY reason that I rated THIS last visit "good" instead of "great" was, b/c they were out of a few beers and at least one food item. I get it; it's understood that a microbrewery can kick an ENTIRE tank, b/c it's NOT like your regular bar where you can swap out a: 1/6, 1/4, or 1/2 keg... NO! It's a tank that's empty, but, sadly, there were a few that were kicked. The wings were great, again. I only wish that they could make a mild, or hot garlic version.... toss the wings in the sauce of your liking and then sprinkle minced garlic on them as well. Oh, and this time, they didn't sprinkle the shaved parm on top, but a garlic parm sauce on the side.

Yelp
Home for the holidays and the family told me about a brewery at the old NADC/NATC. They have gluten-free options! Yes let's go! I got a flight of the 3 GF beverages that the make in house: a pear seltzer, a cinnamon whiskey spiked cider (Syzygy), and an apple pie cider. They were all great, but really liked the Sygyzy. I followed those with a pumpkin spiced old fashioned. All the coctails are made with liquor distilled in PA. Very nice, with a hint of vanilla. Mom and Dad got beers. For food, I got a gluten free (cauliflower crust) pizza, and mom got the gluten-ful version of the same...plain basic pie. They offer toppings, but none really interested me. Dad got the garlic parmesan wings, which he really liked! 10 per order. For the gluten free pizza, I confirmed before ordering that they don't place it on the pans with other pizza. It is cooked on its own disposable tray. A day later and I'm not sick! So for GF food options, that's all there is. But it was good! When I grew up around here, this building was part of a military research and training center. Eventually the government decommissioned it and gave us a brewery! There's more to it but if you go on a Sunday, they have tours of the whole "Fuge" (centrifuge) building that give you all the stories and history. I'm hearing it secondhand, but it sounds cool.

Yelp
Have to tell you, we were both impressed with food and beer! Stephanie who waited on us was exceptional! Back to my hometown and was not expecting to be blown away with the beer quality and finish and taste! #174 brewery I have been to, and wow, tripping down memory lane where I saw the Blue Angels and the centrifuge in the same building as Tranquility! All the details of names and decor of the place and beer was just a Moon Shot! I will be taking some of my guys here! Decor was great as long as you know the history of 1969, if not, the learn! I enjoyed every splashdown of beer going down and my wife loved the pumpkin, I did too!, and I don't like pumpkin beers! I mean. Come on People! I have to say the brewer must be accomplished, I tasted 4 beers, they were awesome! Will be back!

Yelp
Ooof what a weird experience. So we heard this brew pub had some good eats so we wanted to try. Right away things weren't off to a good start, we walked in and the band that was playing was so loud it was disconcerting. The space really isn't that big and they were playing like it was an arena. So anyway we sat down and ordered drinks. My wife got a flight and I had the New Zealand IPA these were pretty good- the IPA was actually great I'd say. And in the flight we had two ciders which were good. Then I tried the Irish red- it tasted like fish - not good. So anyway we sat there for 45 minutes listening to the worst live music and the waitress never came back to take our order after giving us menus. We tried to get her attention but to no avail. We sat there with empty glasses and no food until we couldn't take the screeching band anymore and had to leave. I'll have to try this spot again and see if this was just an anomaly. I hope my next trip is much better (it can't be any worse).

Yelp
First time visiting this brewery. Nice space inside and friendly servers. Tried their pumpkin ale and it was tasty. Hazy Space Monkey was good too. We ordered one of their pizzas. The crust was great and it had a generous amount of fresh mozzarella and nice tomato sauce. The fish and chips was a real disappointment. The menu described this as 3 pieces of batter dipped cod. The entree was $17.00 we received 3 fish strips which was about enough to feed a ten year old and a pile of french fries. I would not order that again.

Yelp
It's been a long time since I first went there, but I've been there many times since, and I will be giving a review of my first time there. I went there in august with a few friends to celebrate a life event. They sat us out side in an area where a small band was playing. The service was SO good and the drinks were great. We had just a little food, but what we had was good. The main reason for this reviews was the server who went above and beyond to accommodate us - I believe her name was Anne or Anna. She went out of her way to bring out a beer that wasn't even on tap yet (because she heard me say it was a special event and I love that beer style). She came out with a sample for all of us and brought the brewer out as well. I have been back multiple times sines based just on this night. Thank you again!

Yelp
Great roast beef and beer special. Service with a smile and NASA inspired decor. This place was once the training location for astronauts. Have to see the centrifuge.

Yelp
Just had the beer. The brew was good. The setting was quaint. It was an old garage turned into a bar. Nothing bad to say.

Yelp
Mission Control to Yelp: I actually visited prior to "launch", and despite not getting the full experience, I liked it enough to give it an early 5 star review. Tranquility Brewing is a part of The Fuge venue. The Fuge is named for its large centrifuge in the building as it was an astronaut training facility in years past. This is why the brewery has an outer space theme, and makes for a very cool experience. For awhile I was the only patronaut in the bar as it was a week prior to the official opening. The owners were very personable and sat down and told me the history of the building. Their beers weren't ready yet, but they let me sample the Caramel Apple Pie cider and Mango Wheat straight from the vats. They were both cosmically good! They kitchen was running in full g-force and their menu was quite large, which is unusual as most local breweries just have food trucks orbiting them. I got the Tranquility Chilli and it was stellar. There is a nice outside patio and the owners plan on a having a lot of bands play there. It likes to be a great summer hangout spot. I look forward to coming back for the grand opening and full beer menu soon.

Yelp
Awesome new brewery!! Located inside the Fuge which is an amazing building!! The brewery does offer tours of the building so definitely inquire about that prior to coming!! Great beer selection. Awesome food. They also have signature cocktails for those that do not drink beer. They have live music. Their patio is very nice and comfortable. They also have an escape room inside the Fuge. You can make a very fun day!! The best part is they are dog friendly!! I definitely recommend this brewery.

Yelp
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we visited Tranquility Brewing Co. it was a chilly evening but decided to sit outside next to one of their portable heat towers. The service was excellent and all the employees we came in contact with were very friendly. We started with a Happy Hour beer flight and the stuffed cherry pepper appetizer. All the beers were delicious and different, and I would order the stuffed cherry peppers again. We tried 2 of their sandwiches which came with an ample serving of crispy, hot fries. My husband ordered the Big French Dip and I ordered the Philly Pork. Choose your bread and your cheese and enjoy! The sandwiches were hot, hearty, and delicious! The French Dip was especially flavorful. No room for dessert this time around. But the icing on our date night cake was the live entertainment. Herb and his female singer were fun and extremely talented. They played R&B, Motown, and some great music from the 60's to present top hits. I definitely recommend Tranquility Brewing Co, and our next visit maybe we'll try the pizza! It looked delicious!

Yelp
Our first visit here... My husband loved his beer (I had a Pepsi). We both had outstanding dinners...mine was a perfectly cooked burger with a deliciously perfect fried egg on top and his was a fried chicken sandwich. Their fries are awesome, too. Service was great despite the fact that about 20 people walked in right after we did. Great staff, very pleasant. We will be back!

Yelp
We went last night after this place was recommended for its beer and food. We took two friends with us last night. The food WAS good and our friends enjoyed the crab cakes and fish and chips. My salad was also delicious. But...the noise was too much for me. A fellow came in right after us with a booming voice that reverberated throughout the place. It was just plain old very loud...we could barely chat with our friends. THEN the music started...the singer was good but we had to leave because it was TOO loud in the place. We would happily go back when sound sound deadening was put in.

Yelp
Good beer selection and really good food for brewery. Really need location in the Fuge.

Amy C.

Yelp
Great food. Beer, not so good. We visited tonight and there were only four beers available. Others were listed on the menu as "brewing" or sold out. This left 2 IPA's, a brown ale and a wheat beer. Not being IPA fans, we ordered the other 2. The raspberry wheat was almost a sour. Not very raspberry tasting and had a very strange finish taste/aftertaste. The brown ale was good. The food, though, was outstanding! Really good hot roast beef and the fries were perfection!! The pizza looked very good, too.

Yelp
Came for an all-day corporate retreat and couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The staff was incredibly accommodating, anticipating our needs before we even had them and going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Though the restaurant doesn't open until 3, the chef came in to prepare lunch for our team of 7 and the food was FABULOUS!! We had a few apps (the fried pickles were yummy), salads, the pork sandwich, and the fig pizza, and everyone loved their choice. Then we had the beignets (DEFINITELY order the beignets!) and a sampling of their homemade ice cream. The banana chocolate chip tasted just like a fresh banana split, and the salted caramel chocolate covered pretzel was heavenly. We didn't drink the beer at our work lunch, but we've had it at an on-site party, so we already know that's amazing. Go for the food and drink, and definitely stay for the ice cream! We did a full Fuge tour and one of the escape rooms afterwards (got out with 2 minutes to spare). It really was a perfect day!

Yelp
Hidden gem! Beer and food were both good. Definitely worth a visit. Off the beaten path.
