"In downtown Phoenix’s Cityscape area, Trapper’s hits the spot pre- or post-game. It’s all-you-can-eat sushi menus are pretty hard to beat any time though. In fact, the stuff-your-face-silly offering has a menu so vast that it would be hard to hit all the items in one sitting." - Steven Totten, Stephanie Carter

Great location in Cityscape. Has an outside patio and inside seating. Take a jacket though since the windows are open between the two halves. Food was okay. Service was terrible. Server was pleasant but either the restaurant was understaffed or waiter had other duties. Another couple came in 15 minutes after us, was served and left before our sushi showed up. The sushi itself was good but not wildly better to make up for the service. Might be okay if you’re not attending an event and have a timeline. I planned for more than an hour and it definitely was that and then some. Follow up: The corporate office in Washington called to discuss the service issues and my experience. That was some excellent customer service. They gave me a credit to use at a later date. The person I spoke with was very responsive and hopefully they’ll be able to fix their issues.

Had an amazing waitress. Thank you for the green Tea. Dinner was wonderful. I love seaweed salad but when I got mine tonight I was a little surprised that it was sitting on top of cabbage. I know the next time I come in I'll ask you not to put the cabbage underneath my seaweed salad. I prefer just to eat the seaweed and not run into cabbage. Then the I think it was the crispy roll. You didn't excessive amount of the sauce on it, so it was really too spicy to actually taste the actual food and that was the disappointing part. Those are the two things that I would say shift away from but it's not my restaurant. I just know that I won't order the crispy roll because of how the spicy it was. Trust me I like spicy but I also like to taste my food.

Went to the downtown restaurant a little after 3 pm and missed lunch all you could eat, so we had dinner. As always, the food is delicious. The restaurant was not busy, and the gentleman making our sushi was nice, but I feel like he wanted to rush us. I heard there may be a Trappers built in Tempe, I am hoping.

Flavorful Sushi. Incredible Value. Unforgettable Experience. I eat sushi all over the country and Trapper's impressed me from start to finish. From the creative rolls to the amazing staff...we got a memorable experience that didn't come close to breaking the bank. Here are the rolls that I recommend: • Magnificent - spicy, explosion of flavor, best specialty roll on the menu by far. • Thrill - tangy, flavorful, mild spice • Spider Roll - Killer, Simple, the best long roll on the menu • Seared Tuna Nigiri - whatever you do...if you love tuna...get this and thank me later with a thumbs up. (Ask Annie to make it special and she'll hook you up 💯) Marty, Edwin, David, San Diego, and Annie gave my team such a great experience and I'm confident they'll treat you right when you make it out here. Very impressed all around and thank you all for an amazing dinner. Glad we made the stop!

This was out first visit and let me tell you this food was amazing. Our server Michael was great. We came before a game and was seated quickly. He got us water right away. He asked us about our likes and dislikes to give us some great recommendations ! The hornitos berry sunrise which was good and the Blueberry drop lemonade was my favorite. The shisito peppers were good very mild. The gyozas were good their dipping sauces was a little to sweet. We ordered the spicy tuna and the magnificent roll. The spicy tuna was typical just tuna nothing else. I was expecting more heat with the magnificent roll, but it was still really good. Theybdo carry the lower sodium soy sauce just have to ask for it. The shop tempura is the best I've ever had. It was nice and crispy and the shrimp cooked perfectly! They have happy our specials and all you can eat which includes rolls and appetizers. This is a family friendly place not some nightclub which we absolutely enjoyed. All of the staff we polite and even said good bye as we left. I wish we livedcloser so we could frequently eat here.

We made a reservation, didn't need one at all. Our waitress was NOT interested in us, spilled a drink on the back of my daughters chair. She clearly just left our food in the kitchen to sit because when I asked after 40 min she came right back with it. The food itself was very good. Won't go back I can get the same quality with better service elsewhere.

Great service, let's get that out of the way. From the liquor bar to the sushi bar, smiles and kindness all around. The food.... you can fault me for the lack of photos, but trust me, the food is good and the fish is fresh. I had the magnificent, the thrill, the spider roll and the squid salad. Nothing missed its mark. There was no wait... for now. Definitely check this place out, you'll be so happy you did.
