Where Are Olives Grown in the U.S.? 9 Places to Taste Olive Oil - AFAR

"Set on a 40-acre estate with Tuscan-like valley views, this operation mills unfiltered extra-virgin olive oil using a seven-ton granite stone mill imported from Perugia paired with a modern hammer mill. The property features 10 acres of orchards with 22 varietals interplanted among vines, and visitors can sample estate-grown oils—including Meyer lemon, jalapeño, and lime infusions—during wine, olive oil, and food pairing meals in the cliffside mill." - Dawn Reiss

I am obsessed with their flavored olive oils. I have come to their property a few times and have always had a pleasant experience! I highly recommend doing their olive oil tasting, where you get to taste 10 olive oils and two balsamic. the views are amazing and the olive oils are fantastic, some of my personal favorite flavors are: Basil, Persian Lime, Rosemary, and Garlic. I was undoubtedly be back to buy more!

Absolutely the best wine club ever! Staff is helpful and the chef does a fantastic job. Whether you are interested in wine or oils, you will not be disappointed! In addition, you can't find a better view anywhere.

If you’re thinking about a weekend at Trattore Farms, go ahead and book it! I recently enjoyed an unforgettable girls’ weekend at The Barn, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The Barn was fully equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. We made homemade pasta for dinner in the well-stocked kitchen, enjoyed movies on a huge TV, and spent evenings on a deck that overlooks the stunning vineyards and Dry Creek Valley. The cozy bunk beds let us all stay in the same room, making late-night chats even more fun. For anyone visiting Trattore Farms, I highly recommend taking the tour with Edd. He’s not only hilarious and kind but also a wealth of knowledge about the wine and olive oil industry. He took us on an ATV ride through the property, where we learned about their sustainable composting and water treatment systems—seriously impressive engineering by Tim! Edd’s stories about the wine and olive oil business were fascinating, and did you know extra virgin olive oil is the most counterfeited product globally? Of course, the wine and olive oil tastings were phenomenal, but what truly made the experience unforgettable were the people, especially Edd, and the beautiful setting. Watching the sunset over Dry Creek Valley was the perfect end to our day. A 10/10 weekend experience—thank you, Trattore Farms!

Excellent wines and stunning views of Dry Creek Valley! Award winning olive oils and brick fired pizza. Very kind and accommodating hosts. You won't be disappointed by your adventure here.

Enjoyed a tasting with food pairing today. What a great experience! I’m a member so have been coming here for a while. The new food pairing is amazing with the wines! Loved it! Thank you!

A group of 8 of us went for an olive oil tasting and had an amazing time. We sat outside and ordered a few of the different flights of Olive oil, a bottle of Cab and the Stone Soup Blanc. We also got a few appetizers to share as well. Jude was great and offered some guidance on our bottles and provided gluten free options of bread and crackers for my wife for the olive oil tasting and sides. The Jalapeno, basil, lime and lemon were my favorites but we did end up getting a few oils off the menu that we hadn't tasted. The fig balsamic was also delicious! Thanks for a great time!

Google
What an amazing experience. Great wine, stunning facility and views and a staff that treats you like an old friend instead of a number. We were fortunate to have the GM Joe Padilla serve us. He was pleasant, fun, knowledgeable. One of those rare people you meet for an hour but will always remember. My 2 cents, you can go to Napa and fight the crowds with all the big name vineyards or you can go to Sonoma to gems like Trattore

Yelp
Was in the city for the 4th of July & took a mini road trip up to Sonoma Valley and visited with friends! About a hour and 40 mins from downtown San Francisco. Loved it, great service and even greater wine. Amazing views and scenery on the drive up.

Yelp
My favorite winery! Excellent wine, great food, lovely view and helpful, friendly staff. Olive oils are great too.

Yelp
Booked a weekends getaway trip for 8 adults and a baby and had a delightful time. All the food we snacks on was great, our server was so sweet and funny. The olive oil and vinegar flights were so fun to enjoy as a group! It was a lovely location on such a beautiful fall day

Yelp
My wife and I spent a quiet and relaxing lunch on their outdoor patio with amazing views of the valley below. The employees were super friendly and accommodating. We had their Cabernet, which was delicious, and their charcuterie board, which was also very good. The winery is beautiful, clean, and inviting. The outdoor patio is shaded, with some background music playing. It makes for a wonderful start to your afternoon. We had a great experience.

Yelp
It's hard putting into words how breathtakingly beautiful the view is. If you have family and friends visiting, THIS is the place to take them to. The olive oils are so delicious and unique ( their Meyer Lemon olive oil is my favorite), they have a wide variety of wine, and their food is incredible. This place is perfect for big or small groups, as well as wine and non-wine drinkers. I've been here for the olive oil and wine tastings, as well as for a private vow renewal event for my parents. Edd Lopez helped coordinate our event and did such a phenomenal job. He surprised us with many beautiful details, and was so patient and kind. I don't know how he did it, but he managed to put together the most perfect event in just under 2 weeks! Everything Chef Andrew prepared, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the perfectly cooked steaks and pasta was so delicious! If you're looking for a place to hold a private event for a special occasion or work, I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
We found this super family friendly winery by accident. We had intended to go to the Ferrari one down the street. But that one was 21+ only. This winery has a modernly decorated tasting space complete with displays that would fascinate kids. There is also an incredible (shaded) deck that overlook the valley. For kiddos, they offer fizzy drinks and bottomless sourdough bread!! (So necessary if the adults are to be able to enjoy their tastings!) Their flights are served on a platter in shot glasses so that you can take your time to pour without someone hanging around. I really liked this setup as I was able to share the tasting with my husband. We ordered two different flights enabling us to taste many wines. Staff was attentive and helpful. When he realized what we liked, he offered an additional wine to taste that was exactly what we were craving! Needless to say, we left with a case of wine.

Yelp
This time we added the popcorn and chocolate truffles and they were all amazing and paired super well with the wine!

Yelp
Rude! I arrived about 4:15 and they close at 5:00. No other customers were in the show room except for a couple friends and myself. No one greeted us, no one asked us if we needed any help but I knew what I wanted because I had been there for many years. I took my purchase of over $100 to the register and was rung up. She took my credit card gave me the receipt to sign and walked off, not giving me a receipt. I was not rude, I said hello, and smiled, handed her my items. To the right of me were three other employees behind the bar, already drinking their glass of wine and chatting and ignoring me. Fortunately, another employee stepped behind the bar and I asked her if I could have my receipt and she gave it to me with a smile. My sister spent over $200.00 in products and with the many other wineries that are now selling the olive oils, I think we will have to try them.

Yelp
I really love our experience here. Not only is the scenery, beautiful, but since my husband and daughter don't drink wine, they got to do a vinegar and olive oil tasting instead. Our server was knowledgeable, and the food was good to boot!

Yelp
We love this winery! This time we got to stay on the property and it was even better. Had a lovely tasting and pizzas from their pizza oven. The staff and chef always go out of their way to make sure we have an enjoyable time. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We came on a rainy day but we still enjoyed our time here. There is a gift shop area with a ton of gift options, obviously wine of course as well as wine accessories I'm sure at Christmas time you'll be able to make more then a few friends and family very happy with your gift choices. They have a great outdoor patio area with sweeping views of the vineyards and the perfect spot to do a wine tasting they have wine food here you can order with your tasting. The service was great and we all enjoyed the beautiful views and of course we enjoyed our tasting and we had a wonderful time here and we will be back very soon. Estate Geyserville Hours: Thursday through Monday from 11 am to 5 pm Downtown Healdsburg Hours: Everyday from 11 am to 6 Cheers all SYOY

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my time at Trattore Farms and Winery! We sat on the terrace and enjoyed delicious wines, vinegars, and olive oil. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about their wines! Spending the afternoon on this terrace, I felt spoiled by the beautiful scenery of the rolling vineyards and the great wines.

Yelp
Trattore Farms is truly one of a kind. My wife and I have been here on numerous occasions when visiting her mother who lives in the area. Every single visit is a slam dunk, so we make a point to stop in every time we're in town. At Trattore Farms, you not only get some of the best wine in Sonona County, but also a comforting environment, a welcoming staff, and an absolutely spectacular view. Be sure to ask for Edd when you drop in; he always makes us feel at home and has such a vast knowledge of wine and the wine country culture. He also happens to be a really fun and cool guy! He hosted the most beautiful rehearsal lunch here for our wedding a few weeks ago. So if you're looking for a place to throw an event; look no further, this is your spot. Thank you Edd and thank you Trattore for being one of our FAVORITE wineries to sip at in Sonoma County!

Yelp
We made the long drive through Dry Creek to reach this boutique winery perched high atop a hill With sweeping views of the valley that almost take your breath away. Trattore means "tractor" so look for the bright red one by the entrance as well as a couple for antique ones in the large and spacious tasting room. We had reservations for noon and were fortunate enough to visit on a Sunday when the wood fired pizza oven was being used (only sundays). To help spread the limited quantity available to as many guests as possible, there's a limit on how many of the delicious small crispy pizzas you can buy. We loved the slightly spicy salami with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of not so spicy jalapeño oil. In addition we had a charcuterie tray ($35) which along with the pizza made a nice lunch. We tasted around five wines -both whites and reds, along with a couple of their olive oils and a balsamic vinegar too. It was all made extra special by being outside with the amazing views from the large and airy patio smelling of jasmine. The patio and view alone are reason to visit as well as the tasty food and nice wines and oils. Do yourself a favor and make the drive. They do also have a tasting room on the square in Healdsburg but without the killer views

Yelp
I would rec this place for the Olive Oil and vinegar tasting room not. Our party did not have the best experience here. We were not greeted upon arrival. Once we were finally seated we sat for a while before anyone appeared to take our order. The server appeared to be new and not very knowledgeable. The ambiance however once you step outside is absolutely gorgeous. The winery is surrounded by Lucious green hills and plenty of places to get the ultimate photos. I will return in the spring to try the outdoors seating and pizza.

Yelp
If you are looking for amazing views of the Dry Creek Valley, the deck at Trattore Farms is AMAZING! We really enjoyed our experience and the staff were very welcoming and engaging. They have a collection of gourmet olive oils that we liked so much we left with three different kinds. Both their white and red wines were terrific. This winery is very worth checking out!

Yelp
We must have hit this spot at the wrong time and date. I've been once before for a group outing and it was great but honestly for that we were left on our own because we bought bottles and served ourselves, no one had to come help or serve tastings. Let's start with what can never be bad - the view!! Spectacular wine country location with amazing views on the tasting patio. I had a reservation at 2:30 for 4 for outside tasting. We arrived and checked in. Some one brought us to the table and then nothing. One person apparently came by while I was inside and said she'd be back, never came back. Another girl stopped by and asked if we'd been helped and because the other gal said she'd be back we told the other girl I think someone is coming back to help us. Problem is she never came back. We sat for at least 10 minutes without exaggeration before a guy came over and asked if we'd been helped. At this point we'd ruled out tasting flights since service was nonexistent to start and landed on a bottle. After some discussion he seemed to be bringing it back around and feeling like someone was seeing us and happy to help. He brought out a couple tastes so we could decide on a bottle, but then he disappeared and never came back to get the decided on bottle. Someone else stepped in and we finally were able to order a bottle. Honestly, I don't know why we didn't leave because by the time we finally got a bottle and glasses it was at least 1/2 hour from when our reservation was. I don't need instant gratification but at least some semblance to make me feel like you want me as a customer would be nice. It felt like we were begging for someone to notice us. Overall, after what was such a beautiful day it was a bummer note to end on. I hate feeling like I don't matter with regards to customer service. I was looking forward to trying some of the olive oils but at the end of it all I just wanted to settle up and get out of there. Not sure I'll rush back anytime soon. This doesn't happen too often in our neck of the woods so I feel like there are plenty of other options that don't leave me feeling disappointed with my experience. Very upsetting overall.

Yelp
Classic Sonoma still exists! No reservations needed, super friendly and knowledgeable, the family is often around. None of this squeezing your wallet at every bend and constantly plugging their club memberships. Crowd doesn't seem to be 99% bachelorette parties like half of the Sonoma wineries I used to love either. Excellent wines, including some unusual Rhone-style grapes like mersanne, rousanne and a really nice mix of the two, and *loved* Intertwined, which is a slightly blended cab. A beautiful family-run winery up on a hill with beautiful views in all directions. Solid food options and a spectacular terrace to sit on while sampling wines and snacking. Very highly recommended!

Yelp
Had the estate tour, wine and olive oil tasting with Ed today...absolutely amazing!!! Ed is an awesome host and incredibly informative and entertaining.

Yelp
Trattore is Italian for tractor! Hence the wine label and actual red tractor on display in the tasting room! This family-run, sustainability-focused winery and olive oil farm is a gem tucked up on a hill with breathtaking views of Dry Creek Valley. Make a reservation and enjoy an afternoon on their beautiful terrace (check out their @mugnainiovens pizza oven! Inquire about pizza Sundays when you reserve). Leave your worries behind as you taste through their beautiful wines - our favorites: -Estate Stone Soup (a blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre) -Estate Tractor Red (a blend of Zinfandel, Grenache, and Mourvèdre) -Estate Zinfandel -Estate Michelle's Rosé We also enjoy the Viognier, Sparkling Rosé, and Pinot Noir. Don't miss their olive oils! Highly recommend the basil and rosemary flavors, but all are delicious. We joined the wine club and took advantage of the Club's Get Your Boots Dirty Tour of their extensive property and facilities. Fun, educational, beautiful! We heart you Trattore!

Yelp
We met the owner. She could not have neen more friendly, informative on questions related to her wines, the upcoming harvest, the region... a truly lovely lady... we'll return. Oh, the view is spectacular spectacular spectacular To the owner from Kim & Barbie

Yelp
Some of the most stunning views in Sonoma County. The view offers pretty much everything you look for in a gorgeous view and there's plenty of patio seating available to enjoy the view. In a single gaze, one observes green trees, green fields, lovely hills, and manicured vines. The view is particularly lovely if you visit on a blue-sky day like we did. I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich and the family flight. The sandwich was a bit plain and overpriced, but I needed something more substantial in my stomach in reaction to a day of wine tastings. The wine was comparable to the others I've tried in the region. Overall, I would highly recommend Trattore Farms. The view is too beautiful to pass up.

Sophia ..

Yelp
My friends and I had an amazing time at Trattore Farms. Highly recommend the Get your boots dirty tour. We lucked out with an incredible sunset too!

Yelp
We belong to Trattore's wine club. It is a ways down Dry Creek Rd, but well worth the drive. I also love the fact they also have olive oil tasting. They offer up some of the best oils in the state (from what I heard, they won 10 of 14 best in state awards). Let's start with the setting. It's hard to imagine there's a more beautiful view in Sonoma County. The extensive patio overlooks the Dry Creek valley / hills. We were able to visit again yesterday (our first visit in about a year according to our large shipment we had to pick up...oops). Ed and others helped serve us. We sampled two whites, three reds and a rose'. We also sampled their whole array of olive oils, plus purchased a charcuterie plate. The wines we sampled were 2018 mR (white rhone blend), 2018 Alder Springs Viognier, a grenache, 2018 Pinot Noir, 2018 Syrah and their estate rose'. Everything was spectacular. You can't go wrong with a visit to Trattore. The wines do the region justice. The olive oil tasting is bonus. The views top it all off. Service is excellent. Enjoy the complete experience...can't forget their kitchen offerings as well.

Markus F.

Yelp
The wines are delightful and the pizza and charcuterie plate were excellent. The olive oil tasting is also worth exploring. Unfortunately we didn't get seating in the shade outside, with claims of those seats being reserved, but half the patio remained empty during the entire time we were there. Otherwise service was excellent.

Yelp
Love this place!! My family are members here and have been a few times over the last couple years. The olive oils are incredible and are great gifts for any occasion. The wine is fantastic and so are the views. In the summertime they even light up the pizza oven and bake incredible pizzas. Will be back in February and can't wait to bring my pup because they are dog friendly

Yelp
This winery was our second stop for the day after visiting chateau diana. Which I would recommend! The views are nice but the service not so much. After placing our order for food and wine....I'd say, we waiting 40 minutes. The wine came out after the food. The water was brought out AFTER the wine which we asked for 4 times. One the servicer spilled a tasting on me, my purse and it got in my hair. Did she apologize- nah Did they offer anything complementary -nah The food wasn't hot. A different server asked if we wanted to buy a bottle even though we hadn't tasting anything lol. Can't help but to laugh at that one. We couldn't split the bill. And before leaving... A lady appears out of no where that we hadn't seen during our visit to ask if we'd"taken care of the bill because she didn't see." You didn't see it because you NEVER came to our table. I'm pretty sure you can take a wild guess as to why OUR table was asked about the bill. I will never return and I will never recommend this place. I will also notify the other clubs that I'm a member to not recommend a place with bad customer and doesn't except all walks of live!

Yelp
***3.5 Stars*** Talk about gorgeous grounds! Trattore Farms has some of the most immaculate views that you'll find within Dry Creek Valley. The drive up the hill to their estate is a mini adventure all in itself. Once you reach their tasting room, the stunning views from their terrace will soothe your eyes. You'll be greeted with sweeping views of their vineyards and all of Dry Creek Valley and beyond. My friends and I came here for a tasting and really enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and the gorgeous views. Not only does Trattore produce wine; they also make vinegar and olive oil. We each did their family flight which also includes an olive oil and vinegar tasting. During the time of our visit, the tastings were pre-poured flights (not sure if they are still operating this way as of now). The flight consisted of 4 wine tastings: Elevation white blend, Roussanne, Mouvedre, and the Propiertor's Reserve red blend. I'm generally more of a red wine gal, but I've really come to enjoy white wines too. I wasn't really impressed with their reds, but I did enjoy both of their white wines. I've never been a huge fan of Roussane, but I was pleasantly surprised by how floral and citrusy it was. My experience in the past with Roussane is that it's usually too oaky and earthy for my taste. However, this one was really tasty. The Elevation white blend was my personal fave though. Loved the minerality and light fruity notes on this. The olive oils and vinegar were also pretty tasty. We all really enjoyed their meyer lemon olive oil the best. Since we were hungry, we also ordered a couple of panini sandwiches and a cheese and charcuterie board. Our sommelier was nice enough to customize the board so that the meat was separated from the cheese (for our pescatarian friend). The panini sandwiches were delicious but expensive at $16 each. Also pricey was their cheese and charcuterie board which had smaller portions than what we're used to. Everything tasted great but it was just super overpriced for what we received. As far as service goes, the entire staff was super kind and sweet. Our sommelier checked in with us a few times to see how we were doing, which we appreciated. However, we were missing that engagement piece that you receive when someone is pouring your wine and telling you a little bit about it. I totally understand the pre-poured flights due to COVID, but it would have been nice to at least hear more about the wines and olive oils that we were tasting, and maybe even a little history about Trattore Farms too. All in all, we had a nice time here but would have loved to have been more engaged in the actually wine tasting with our sommelier. But for a chill day relaxing while tasting wine and taking in some beautiful views; Trattore Farms fits the bill.

Yelp
We love trattore! Thumbs up to the new sparklers too which we were able to try this year! Since we were here in the 95 degree heat, the bubbly, rose and whites seemed extra good this year! Wow. What's not to like. This slightly off the path hidden gem will hopefully stay off the radar from the masses. The winding drive up to the winery leads to anticipation for the breathtaking views from the outdoor patio. This is a great place to sit, sip, and be amazed. To add to the wine experience, make sure to try their fresh paninis, charcuterie board, or if you are there on a Sunday, a wood fired pizza! Yum! In addition to their wonderful wines, they mill their own olive oil...extra virgin and pressed on the premises. Balsamic vinegar is tasty too!!! The best part of our trip was touring with Edd Lopez. Get your boots dirty! Just an amazing, down to earth genius. Lots of fun! Entertaining and educational. We also met Bev the wine club guru who happens to be from NJ. Tim Bucher and Mary Louise do a brilliant job with everything from wine and olive oil to the gorgeous tasting room and vineyard. The staff in the tasting room and in the kitchen are also friendly and go out of their way to make you feel special.

Yelp
Great place for a Sunday afternoon. We spent a few hours and really enjoyed the wine, food, and ambience. A classic.

Yelp
Stunning views and great wines! Visited here recently for a wine and olive oil tasting and we liked it so much that we ended up becoming members. The wines were all very approachable and I don't think there was a single one we didn't like. To be fair this was our third winery of the day so that might have something to do with our love for the place. . But the wines were good. I also loved the olive oils! They have an olive oil mill on site and they sell various infused olives which are amazing. I love the basil and jalapeño ones especially! We were there at the end of the day and the owners were enjoying some wine with friends on the patio too. They came over to us and shared about the winery and the membership benefits. We were sold! Definitely recommend this place - the views are unbeatable, the wines and oils are great, and the owners are such warm and kind people.

Yelp
After googling the best wineries with a view I decided to bring my friends here for a tasting. The view is spectacular, to say the least!! But, that's about the only positive thing I have to say about this place. We had a reservation at 1230. We were sat right away, only to see two other tables on the patio with us. It wasn't until 1:15 p that we received our tasting flights, which arrived AFTER our pizza, and after they tried to up sell us on buying a bottle of wine (wine that we haven't tasted mine you). We were told by our server they were short staffed, but we didn't see any other table with delayed service. Nonetheless, we had another reservation at 2p so we quickly finished our flights. Our server informed us that we couldn't spilt the bill so we provided her one card to charge and left her a cash tip. Mind you, we received water with no glasses, one of the flights she spilled on my friend's suede purse and almost cut her feet with the glass, and wasn't even consoled by manager/owner. As we're walking out a lady is following us, asking how we enjoyed our stay. I'm going to assume it was the manager or owner. We complimented the orange olive oil and proceeded out the door. She then yells across the tasting room, "was your bill taken care of?" I responded, yes it was. She the responded, "oh, because I didn't see it." These 4 minorities patronized your establishment, you didn't apologize for the delayed service, for the destruction of my friends purse, and you have the nerve to imply, LOUDLY, that we were trying to dine and dash?! Never again. Regardless of the color of my skin, my money is green and I will not be spending it here ever again.

Yelp
I stopped here on the way back from another winery in the area. I did not do a tasting so can't comment on their wines. But - their grounds and views are fantastic! Lovely large tasting room - they make olive oils too. And the views from the deck were incredible - almost a 360. I plan to come back with friends to taste the wines and enjoy their grounds - soon!

Yelp
This review is for the Healdsburg tasting room location. We went to the tasting room in Healdsburg on a very slow Tuesday afternoon. We were excited to go in and try the wines and olive oils. As locals, we enjoy trying new places and buying local wines. We should have known when we walked into the empty tasting room and were not greeted heartily by the associate that we should have left at that time. Unfortunately we did not. The service we received made it feel as if we were an inconvenience and the bread that came with our olive oil was stale and tasteless. When the wine was brought, with three of the wines in small carafe that we had to pour ourselves, there was no description of the vintages or what we should expect from the wine. We had to ask for the sparkling, that should have been served before the other wines that were on the menu. The associate had no interest in sharing information with us, and did not seem to have any knowledge of the wines or winery. At the end of the tasting, we were handed the credit card scanner and the iPad and had to figure out how to pay our bill! The server left us with the devices and went back behind the bar. The fact that we paid $90 for three tastings was absurd. We visit many local wineries, and almost always have a wonderful experience. This was the worst tasting experience we have ever had.

Yelp
Amazing views in a beautiful area! We were a little surprised that they only had one red wine (Grenache) available for tasting at first, but they then accommodated our red-wine drinking group nicely. It's not something that they normally do and they stated that they only did it for us because we're industry. Keep in mind that as of right now their tasting is primarily white wines even though the variety appears much greater online. We were hoping to hear more of their story and to get more information about their wines, but didn't get that. They served our tastings all at once and just let us taste through them without any explanation. We missed the interaction and information. The sandwich was good, the view phenomenal, the service lacking, unfortunately. It's a great setting if you're not looking for wine education/information but want to get together with friends and relax. Serious wine tasters...you might want to call ahead to see what is on the tasting menu before you make the trek.

Yelp
This was an incredible experience of wine tasting and small bites. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine and offered various pairing options. Excellent service! Ambiance was out of this world! We sat on the patio overlooking the valley, peaceful and relaxing time.

Yelp
4 1/2 stars. 3-year-old new wine/olive oil testing room with a kitchen & covered Terrance with a fountain overlooking the scenic Dry Creek Valley. Testing signature wines, housemade olive oils in popcorns or/and bread, dining & tours of vineyards/orchards/mill. Wonderful customer service. Of 3 local Dry Creek Wineries recommended by the hotel we were staying at, this was the only winery we got to stop by on our short visit to the area (worthy of more time there). Of the few reviews I quickly glanced through prior to selecting this winery, no one mentioned about the narrow steep drive/climb up to the testing room! (Only now I read about the steep hill vineyards on its owner page but not about the road up to the new testing room.) So be sure to have someone who is ok driving this type of road to reduce heart pounding moments! The main reason I chose to visit this family-owned/-operated winery was because my kids were with me & they loved bread. TF produces variety of olive oils, which I later realized they were the same ones on sale @ local shops (finally connect the dots). This is a kid-friendly winery to take well-mannered older children to with 2 huge shining tractors on display too (no climbing please) in their testing/merchandise room. We've been to some "grown-up" places with people working in hospitality field with attitudes. Not here. Bravo! Upon our arrival at the Bar, Andrew, the Testing Room manager, greeted us warmly, wasn't surprised to see kids, immediately picked up 2 bags of popcorn dripped with olive oils to my children then guided them to the other end of table to test the olive oils before giving me some wine testing. Of the few sips I took, I liked one kind of red called "Grenache" the most. Andrew also helped to taste their cheese/bread plate & showed us a map of the region to explore before leaving. His thoughtfulness was so appreciated! There were more visitors when we arrived that he had to tend others (people loved their wines & were buying up), so we tasted through olive oils & browsed their stuff on sale. Thanks to another female staff who talked with kids about the olive oils too! (Don't you agree it's usually the people who make a place, not the other way around?) We splurged buying 2 bottles of award-winning olive oils that kids approved ($25 for each small bottle! high-end indeed & seasonal).

Yelp
Fantastic Rhone style wines (and Pinots) best olive oils you have ever tasted, restaurant quality food (especially panini and burrata plates), a view that can't be compared, and the best staff in Sonoma wine country. We just held a rehearsal dinner and follow-up wine tasting at TF, and it was better than imagined. SO much fun, so well done, everyone left with a lifelong memory.

Yelp
My God! What a beautiful setting this winery has!!! We did not try their food as we came at 4 pm and their kitchen had already closed, but their wines were amazing and the experience overall was enchanting. We cannot wait to come back soon! We enjoyed taking photos all over the winery as we couldn't get over how gorgeous everything looked .

Yelp
We just got back from a wonderful visit to Trattore Farms. Mary Louise and the rest of the staff took terrific care of us as we were able to sample some delicious wines and olive oils. Our visit was topped off with a scrumptious panini lunch. Their take on a "PB&J" panini is a unique treat, and should not be missed. By the way, PB&J stands for Prosciutto, Brie, and Jam! The Roasted Red Pepper panini was also delicious. I will mention that while we were there, we did join the wine club. Unlike many other wineries, however, this was completely our idea as there was zero hard sell. Joining the club just made sense, and gives us the excuse to come back often, which we plan to do each season if only to take in the view from the lovely terrace.

Yelp
I love this winery! I became a wine member on my second visit (over year half ago) because of the Pinot, Viognier & Rosé but really in love with the Dry Creek Olive Oils/vinegars. I usually include them in my cclub and then some, I always have to get an extra chef size olive oil because I cook with it a lot. The location! The view of Dry Creek is just gorgeous, relaxing lounge chairs and very accommodating staff. Mary-Louise is the sweetest woman ever. I've talked to her at the wine club parties as well as in the tasting room on a sunny Sunday. You can really tell this family cares about their customers and the quality they instill in their wine, olive oil and service. The only things that could be a little more organized perhaps are the parties and some extra incentives on holidays/birthdays for club members. Other than the the ins & outs of this tasting room are wonderful!

Yelp
We signed up for the picnic tasting and found out when we arrived that it was a new offering. The setting was magical and it was a great way to be in the vineyard for a snack and wine. What made the experience great was the management's openness to feedback. We were able to share suggestions on this offering and what met and didn't meet our expectations. The experience then became exceptional when the vintner and manager extended exceptional customer service to us. In the end we walked away very happy, having had a unique experience, and having tasted great products (and took some home with us as well). Highly recommend.

Yelp
SO I am super conflicted to only give Trattore 3 stars as the location is beautiful and the wines (and Olive Oils) are so good! Which is why we joined! But they're just snobby. Like Napa big bus annoyingly snobby. Went today with friends, first stop; the tasting was two whites and two reds. I asked if i could just double on the whites and skip the reds and the woman said "no/ this is the list you have to have this or pay for a glass or bottle" I tried to explain we were members and I just didn't feel like reds because I love their whites (and actually it would be cheaper for them to just pour 2x whites vs the reds though didn't say that as didn't want to argue)... the woman just said "this is the list I can pour for each of you and if you don't want it that's fine but as you can plainly read here this is what you get" (oh and BTW members get complimentary tastings). "do you want the tasting?" I was super embarrassed! First stop in the area with friends who had never been and this woman started our day off on such a sour note. I honestly didn't know what to say. So in summary- views GREAT, wine very good, service super bad and inflexible. Just know what you're in for! Too bad as this winery could be amazing. Think we are going to quit our membership. :( so many great, friendly wineries in this area, so this isn't worth it. Hope someone from Trattore reads this and considers adjusting the service.
