We went for lunch and had a really great experience. Everything we tried was delicious, including the desserts. The lasagna was amazing—so good that we ordered a second one. Service was friendly and the whole place felt cozy and authentic. Overall, a really enjoyable meal, and I’d definitely recommend it. Reservation is a good idea, especially if you don’t want to risk waiting.

We found this place by simply walking by, and wow, we didn't know you could find heaven tucked away in Ferrara. A Michelin Star dining experience was a welcome surprise! Every dish we had was better than the one before the last...save room for dessert and drink the house red - it is perfecto!

We had a fantastic lunch here! Just a heads up, you’ll need a reservation because it seems to be a popular spot all year round. The service charge includes the bread basket, which was really good. We even got to try some local bread from Ferrara. The starter of fried zucchini with mozzarella was a must-try - it was fresh, crunchy, and delicious. The food was great, and the staff were super friendly and professional. The prices were also reasonable. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

The restaurant was busy, as expected. The food was good, but what was listed as breaded lamb turned out to be breaded veal.

Chef Maria Cristina continues her mother, Noemi's, legacy in this traditional Ferrara restaurant tucked down a medieval cobbled alley. Food is fresh and seasonal, featuring ingredients like wild mushrooms, truffles and pumpkin flowers in autumn. As well as local specialties like 'polpette' made from chickpeas, a dish from Ferrara's large Jewish community. Delicate egg pasta is made fresh daily, the wine list is good and the service, led by Maria Cristina's son Luca, is friendly and helpful.

This place is really the real deal. Authentic, Ferrara cuisine that is made with love is something worth seeking out. We had eaten here 15 years ago and stumbled upon it again. This time, there is a Michelin sign up, but that wasn't the motivation to go. It was because we remembered the pumpkin ravioli with sage and amaretto cookie, the fresh pasta with black truffle, and the wonderful, authentic vibe of this place. It's a busy place, and the elegance is just enough when paired with the working class traditional cuisine. It's a special place. And, it is tucked away in the cute medieval quarter of Ferrara. Transport yourself back and eat the way it was meant to be. Wonderful.

Wonderful traditional local food. I haven't found a place I like more! Wonderful and quaint location and friendly staff. Italian and English menus. I love the pinzini and cappellacci alla panna. Great house vino as well. Prices are comparable to the area.
