The 19 Best Restaurants In Milan - Milan - The Infatuation

"Via Fiori Chiari is one of the few streets in Milan that feels like a tourist trap. But Trattoria Del Ciumbia is a new, refreshing departure. It just might be the only place in the city where you’ll find braised frog legs, foie gras lasagna, and fried trippa on the same menu (though there are fresh pastas, too, for the less adventurous). While the dishes may be old-world, the theatrical energy is extremely fresh—modern chromatic interiors conjure the House of Gucci with deep reds, tans, and various dark shades of green. If you can, leave room for a slice of panettone for dessert." - elizabeth de filippo jones

The Best New Restaurants in the World: 2024 Hot List

"Sèm chì! We are here! Ciumbia is a very Milanese exclamation, akin to wow in the local dialect. And indeed, the food at this restaurant in the Brera district is a triumph of hyperlocal dishes."

We went to this place for lunch and I can confirm: food, ambience and music was a 10! - Service was very attentive at all time BUT was arrogant and unfriendly sometimes. + Would be nice if you start treating your guests with kindness and smile more! That costs nothing and makes the experience way much better. Just a quick reminder: “a great man is one who can be humble even when he is the master.”

The vibes were great! Angelo was so hospitable and his recommendations were top notch. It’s a great spot to check out! My favorite dish was the Ricordo di una zuppa pavese.

10/10. Decided to have a random girl’s dinner here on a Sunday. Booked through the platform, got our table. From the first seconds the service was very welcoming, attentive and fast. For antipasti we took vitello tonnato and tonno di coniglio. For secondi: salmerino, lasagnetta and scaloppina di vitello. For dolce: barbajada and torta di rose. A bottle of wine and cocktails: branca colada, piña dorada and ciumbia che paloma. The food was splendid! As well as cocktails. The dolce were good; tho the barbajada was not as expressive in taste as in its looks and in the torta di rose we didn’t feel any sophisticated taste as described; but both were tasty anyway. The place has a disco room downstairs which is opened in the cold months (so now it is closed but out waiter was kind to let us have a look 👀). We would definitely come back to try other dishes and feel the atmosphere. The prices are high enough but you definitely pay for the service, effort, excellent food and the location of the restaurant ✨

We had a wonderful evening at this place, our second dinner here. We visited nearly a year ago and were blown away by the amazing food - on the menu you can find both Milanese classics and dishes with a modern/creative twist; all of them executed to perfection. The restaurant itself is exceptionally beautiful - looking at it you’d expect it to be totally style over content (and possibly a blogger heaven) but the food really is fantastic and our fellow diners ranged from other tourists to the Milanese fashion set and even a couple of families with children. We felt that the waiters could have been significantly more attentive, but nonetheless they were kind and we were able to ask for everything we needed. The bus staff were incredibly sweet, and a special mention to the wonderful lady who tirelessly takes great care of the restrooms.

We tried this place 2 weeks ago because there was so much hype about this place during the design week and the fashion week. Well, the restaurant is definitely chic, and filled with equally chic people. The service was excellent, attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. I didn’t understand why everything was served on a big lump of mash potato. Serving size was rather generous, unfortunately the taste was pedestrian. However, I must the osso bucco on the classic Milanese risotto was on point! So either we didn't order well, or they only had one shining dish. Unsure. The food didn't look appetizing as it was all bath in brown gravy when served. Very unnecessary, I think. Come for a chic tete-a-tete but don't expect much on the food. Will not come back, unless I'm not eating and you're an excellent company!

Really average, for a well above average price. Polite service but you automatically get charged a service fee, which is not normal in Europe or Italy. Just ask them to remove it if the service wasn’t amazing. Risotto Milanese had way too much saffron.

The place is beautiful, the mix of colors and fabrics/materials used is very elevated and modern/cool. The food was really good, the agnolotti was amazing and so was the risotto alla milanese. My friends ordered the fish and said ist was really really good as well, cooked perfectly and with a crispy skin. As for desert we ordered tbe gelatto that came with 3 toppings, but it would have been perfect if there was one with a chocolate sauce or something like it. Definitiely coming back

I recently visited this place and was immediately drawn to its unique blend of old-school charm and modern flair – definitely not your typical Italian joint. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff adding to the pleasant vibe. The food? Delicious and served in hearty portions, with prices that won’t break the bank. However, there was a bit of a head-scratcher with the wine selection. Most bottles seemed to come with a hefty price tag, which caught me off guard considering what I’d seen online. Maybe I missed something, but it left me puzzled. Despite this, it’s still a lovely spot worth checking out for its ambiance and tasty dishes.
