Trattoria del Pesce

Very authentic fish restaurant with delicious fresh selection and elegant presentation. It was my first time there and had an unforgettable lunch. I will definitely go there when I visit Rome again

I ate the grilled octopus as antipasto but it was not really fresh more like rubber. Then I had the Cavatiello with seafood but it was covered with too much tomato sauce so there was very little seafood flavor. On the menu it said small tomatoes but actually the pasta had sugo added. Net result very average. I ate much better last night at Eden Ristorante here in Monteverde where the seafood and seafood pasta is excellent.

Really enjoyed the cozy chic atmosphere, the nice, friendly service and the good food. Very good raw fish, super fresh daily catch, beautiful mise en place, good wine selection. A bit pricey, but all in all it deserves a visit.

The food is good , service is definitely not the best

It was such a surprise finding this restaurant Stellar service, fresh fish, good wine selection, I can't possibly find anything less than five stars for this place I personally recommend raw fish as a starter, it was quite a treat If in Rome and want to spoil yourself try these guys: they definitely know how to do it

Awful service,spicy food for kids..and when i asked a watermelon slice i had just the very end part. May be we didn't ordered to many dishes as the table on our right.... They run out with tiramisu arlund 9.30 and also they don't have a option for vegetarian...not even one

Amazing restaurant. Super super fresch fish. I went there with my son and daughther. Excellent menu. What a lovely discovery. 10/10.

Very good seafood, crudi, is a focus. They took great care to help guests avoid allergens and the staff was quite efficient and amiable.

I like everything about this place, even reading the menu was love at first sight. You can tell by the options that the chef was inspired to bring creativity to Italian classics, but without the redundant sophistication of more upscale establishments. I strongly recommend the octopus entree, the result of a laborious process aimed at keeping it soft inside and crispy outside. For a more decadent experience, the parmigiana of "pesce bandiera" is an absolute must, a bold choice vs. the more common pairing with tuna. If undecided, go for the grandiose appetizer tasting, a high-tea-esque tiered display of several different cold and hot delicacies. The main course items are all exquisite, with pastas hearkening back to the Neapolitan tradition (the scialatielli are excellent). I would also recommend the fried calamari, with shrimp and anchovies - this is how the dish should taste and look like, an almost invisible batter that enhances the flavor instead of covering it. If this is not a 5 star restaurant, I don't know what is. The ambience is nice, the service is friendly and attentive, the pricing is reasonable (but no Amex folks), even when you throw in the wine. For a night, forget the steaks and enjoy seafood in its most mouth-watering form.
