Trattoria Fasano

The food was really amazing! A couple waiters were a bit stuffy but the Maître d’ was quite attentive and helpful. Kudos to him. Go with the staff’s food and wine recommendations, you will not be let down.

Had a business lunch with clients. First thing they hit you with is a R$40 cover charge per person for 5 pieces of sad looking grissini for the table. I guess you get butter with that, so that’s a nice touch. We were seated in fairly short order, but waitstaff don’t provide menus unless you ask for them. They also don’t seem to come around to take your order even if everyone at the table has their menu closed. Very strange service given the price. Food was uninspired - I ordered the cacio e Pepe and the tagliatta di manzo. Cacio e Pepe - looks like they add cream or some thickening agent. Not nearly enough “pepe” nor do they appear to toast the pepper before integrating it into the dish. Way too much sauce (due to added thickener) and taste is just off. They don’t use pecorino romano, either. Tagliatta di manzo - probably one of the worst cuts of meat I’ve ever had. Paper thin, cooked on an insufficiently hot pan (almost no crust) and boiled all the way through - almost as if it had been crowded in a pan. Way too salty. Would not go back (but probably will due to being located near BTG Pactual).

I usually don't give bad reviews. But due to the high price of the established I feel that I must. I had a Caprese Salad - the tomatoes were tired and looked like they were cut one day ago. I ordered a Salad for main - for the price of 100$. Half of the leaves were rotten, and all of them looked tired. Overall the quality of ingredients and the freshness felt like someone went to the supermarket and picked stuff from the far corner of the shelf. Same for Pasta in tomato sauce - it felt as if came from a precooked caned sauce. Overall, below the average food for a higher than average price. I really feel that an establishment like this one should take more care of the ingredients, if they want to charge this prices. For the fairness - atmosphere here and service are great.

Nice place for a lunch-salad. Menu is a bit overpriced

Excellent service. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. Some may feel like the food too expensive for what it is. I would recommend the creme brulee for dessert if you are looking for something light... Especially after eating the Gnocchi that was a little too buttery for my liking.

Incredible italian food as always, with many classic options to choose from.

Amazing ambiance, food and service.

I was craving Italian food after eating Asian food for 2-3 meals before this one and this place was within walking distance from my hotel. The food and the service at this place is excellent. The ambiance is pretty good and shows that this is a high-end joint. I got Minestrone soup and Spaghetti with burrata cheese and both were nice. I deducted 1 star because they duped me into paying for this breadstick with butter by offering it to me as if it were complimentary. They did serve complimentary bread later but I only realized that this was pais when I got the bill.

The most trendy and cool hotel in SP. High-end, classy, large rooms, nice neighborhood. If you can afford it, a great choice. As a foreigner, it will still have some of the imperfections of most Brazilian hotels, i.e. below average gym, some "lost-in-translation" with the staff and a tendency to overcharge for bottled water ;) When in SP, if I want a cool rooftop, I stay at Hotel Unique, but for a more luxurious experience, Fasano is the best.

Hands down one of the coolest, best, most delicious and trendy Italian places in São Paulo. Love the feel, the people and the service. Everything on the menu is delicious. Can't go wrong

Love love love this hotel. We had the top floor suite and it was understated and very comfortable. The concierge service is the best in São Paulo. They hooked us up with the best guide in South America. The best food in Brazil. So happy with this hotel!
