"Open for: Lunch and dinner Price range: $$ Uruguayan chef Juan Lema, who named Trattoria Mirta after his mother, puts his own spin on traditional northern Italian dishes. In winter, try the squash in saor, enriched with raisins and pine nuts. Better yet, stop by in warmer months for the cotolette in carpione, a vinegar-marinated variation on the cult classic Milanese. Best for: Sitting at a sidewalk table if the weather is nice." - Elizabeth De Filippo-Jones

The potato dish was absolutely delicious!!! I wasn’t a big fan of the pasta with anduja. It was good but wasn’t what I had hoped for considering I love sauces made with anduja. Maybe it could have been better with a different type of pasta. The chicken was good, nothing crazy. The meat was interesting and not my flavor but my family enjoyed it. Overall, an interesting place to eat for lunch.

Small, cozy and authentic with excellent food! Tried the bruschetta, ravioli, tuna and carpaccio. Can recommend everything. Excellent wine tip from the waiter. Book place in advance👍🏼

We arrived here straight from the airport, since we had a reservation and didn't want to be late. - I like the fact that the door is full of awards and mentions, it's a nice touch, but it raises the expectations a lot. Restaurant is typical italian, cramped with old tables and loud atmosphere, but this is why you go to Italy. - Table was still available and we were sat and promptly greeted by our server. We ordered some water and wine first - Appetizers were: bruschetta with some tomato sauce and prosciutto and the other one was some kind of thinly sliced Porchetta with a cabbage salad. Both were tasty - Mâine courses were: Pasta with ragu for me and another type of pasta, beautifully shaped with ricotta filling and some honey sauce on the bottom. Both were very delicious, especially with extra parmiggiano. - The desert however was not for my taste because the pistachio tiramisu came a bit warm...? I don't know if this is how it should have been or a mistake. Tasted ok, but I was expecting it cold. - Overall I do recommend this place, it's nice, welcoming, italian. The missing star is for the tiramisu and the portions that should be just A LITTLE BIT bigger.

Amazing place with great seasonable dishes that change each season. Traditional but with modern taste. Small portion so you can order many dishes. We had spicy cubed eggplant and caramelised onion with pear and gorgonzola on crostone bread as starter. Ravioli filled with walnut and gorgonzola with butter and honey, meat mascheroni as primo. Followed by tripa soup with fresh vegetables and beans (really amazing). Mascarpone served with rose and peperoncino sauce and fresh ricotta ice cream with fresh strawberry, whipped cream and meringue as deserts. Highly recommended.

One starter, two main dishes and a couple of bottles of water = 40€. The food was amazing, really good quality with a lot of taste 10/10, also the service of the waiters was really good. As a bad point I do not understan to pay 2€ for a bottle of tap/filtered water, it is common in Milan but I dont understand it.

Great cosy restaurant in nolo/cittastudi. The atmosphere is very homely and warm. Dishes are varied and really tasty. We tried meatballs, zola's creme, pate', galletto and tartare. Very nice presentation and great taste. Didn't have wine, but you can see a varied assortments of bottles around the restaurant and can be bought by bottle or glass. Highly endorsed for his informal vibe and for a night with friends. will definitely come back when in milan next time.

This place is cozy and beautiful,it reminds me greek small taverns! The food is really good and the staff is friendly and willing to help! The only problem is that there is no menu in english so we had to use google lens and personnel's help.

Yelp
This homey restaurant served one of the best dinner i ate throughout my trip in Milan. I didn't really do the ordering for the table since there were 9 of us, i just followed along with the group. HOWEVER, one item really left an impression: the beef tongue salad! We ordered a second round of that. I remember the chicken dish was also tasty. The service was great. I think they're not used to the sight of seeing 9 asian tourists visiting so they were a little taken aback, alas, they tried their best to communicate with us and made sure we had everything we needed.

Yelp
This place was recommended on two different lists my wife and I found, and then again in a "where we spend our time" list that was included in the menu at Ratana (another restaurant we recommend). All three suggested Trattoria Mirta was the place for "classic" northern Italian dishes, and it did not disappoint! We had an amazing classic bean soup, then a perfectly balanced taleggio and radicchio ravioli, followed by a highly recommended smoked chicken dish; all were awesome! The staff was very helpful, making wine recommendations, splitting dishes, etc. Please come!
