This is a cozy little place to dine in, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a nice choice for a relaxed meal. The restaurant has two floors, which adds a bit of character, and with the patio now open, it’s a great spot to enjoy some fresh air when the weather is nice. Just a heads-up—the tables are quite close to each other, so it’s worth being mindful of your conversations and movement, especially during busy times. The food menu is fairly limited, but the items offered are nicely prepared. Prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are decent—just enough for one person to feel satisfied without being overly full. It’s a solid pick if you’re in the mood for something simple and comforting. Our food did take a bit longer than expected to arrive, which was a slight downside, especially if you’re hungry or on a tighter schedule. That said, the overall experience was still pleasant. A special shout-out to Shariar, who was kind enough to treat us to a complimentary tiramisu—what a lovely surprise! He’s a former colleague of mine, so it was really nice to reconnect and see a familiar face. That thoughtful gesture definitely added a personal touch to our visit. All in all, it’s a good place to unwind over a meal, especially now that the patio is open. A few small adjustments could enhance the experience, but the cozy vibe and friendly gesture made the visit memorable.

Spend the morning in Yorkville and decided to go in a solo lunch. I’ve had this place on my bucket list and I’m glad I had the time. I walked in. It was busy, but I was greeted very quickly. When I said table for one she was really nice and placed me by the window perfect place to people watch. It was busy, but the waiter came rather quickly very warm and friendly service genuinely made me laugh. My ordered the mushroom pasta and a white sangria. I promise you not even 15 minutes later the food had came to the table. I guess it’s easier when you’re solo dining. The mafalde was delicious. Mushroom versus pasta was very proportionate and the flavours was exactly what I was anticipating. I definitely was full after a few bites, but I was very excited to take it home. I appreciate that I was given the space to enjoy my meal and I didn’t have the feeling of being rushed even though it was a busy Saturday. Thank you so much for a great experience.

I decided to treat myself today and check out Trattoria Nervosa and I was very pleased with my experience. The food was amazing; I think my favourite dish is their burrata appetizer. Who knew cherry mixed so well with burrata and pistachios. I had their risotto and the beef was so tender and delicious, as well as the mushroom risotto part of the dish. The only reason this review isn’t five stars is because I was disappointed in my dessert. They took way too long to come out to my table, and the service was a little confusing. I am a baker so I am very critical of desserts at restaurants. I love cannolis, so I got their cannoli dish. I loved the candied orange peels and the cannoli shells were nice and crispy, however the pistachio ricotta filling didn’t have any pistachio flavour, it was just ricotta, which is fine, if that was what the menu said. I was expecting a nice pungent pistachio flavour, but instead got ricotta that was died green. They were very gracious and my lovely server, Maria, fixed everything and removed my plate and allowed me to get their chocolate cake with pistachio gelato instead. When the dessert arrived, it looked great! The chocolate cake was alright, but the pistachio gelato stole the show! Finally a nice and strong pistachio flavour. I think all I needed was the gelato and I could do without the chocolate cake. I gotta say Maria was a superstar! One of the best servers I have ever had. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and really helped me decide what I wanted to get. The manager was also so kind when I told him about my wonderful experience. I will definitely be coming back for service and the great manager Sam (I believe his name was, or it may have been Max, my apologies for forgetting! You were so kind to me and I feel bad), and of course the good food! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who can afford it or is wanting to splurge on a special occasion.

Very classy feeling restaurant in the heart of Yorkville. The patio is wonderful. The meatballs are flavourful. Portion sizes are average, if you are really hungry you will need an app and an entree to fill up.

I am literally sitting On the patioat Trattoria Nirvosa, as I write this. My server was Chloe. She is absolutely lovely, attentive, and provided such brilliant personable service. I ordered their Caesar salad with a side of shrimp. It was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a half litre of wine, which was lovely. But I will say that Chloe was absolutely fantastic and she deserves to be recognized for her extraordinary service. Thank you for a great experience this Friday afternoon. I will be back.

Great Italian restaurant in the heart of Yorkville. Delicious dishes, reasonable prices (in that expensive part of town), very nice wine list - my glass of Barbaresco was fantastic. Very friendly and professional staff. Will definitely back.

For my 28th birthday this year, I went to Trattoria Nervosa after work with two of my best friends. The food was spectacular, and the company was just as wonderful! I had the Risotto Nervosa, and it was the best risotto I've ever eaten! The Chocolate Cake was very rich but quite tasty. 10/10 service and somewhere I'd most definitely recommend and return to. The interior is very old-school and rustic in my opinion which is a beautiful touch to how long this place has been around. They have a versatile menu if wonderful pizza and pasta dishes, with some meat and seafood throughout the menu. I most definitely recommend trying their Risotto Nervosa. I'm a Chef, and I've had Risotto from many different restaurants, but this one took the cake! It was beautifully orchestrated. Bravo!

Yelp
The Best Italian in Downtown Toronto Trattoria Nervosa is easily one of the highlights of downtown Toronto. The ambiance? Perfection. We were seated upstairs in a quiet, dimly lit area that set the perfect vibe for a relaxed meal. Our server was fantastic--knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. We had multiple staff members checking in on us, and the attention to detail was impressive. They kept the area clean and never missed a beat. Now, the food. Hands down, one of the best Italian meals I've had. We went all in and ordered a ton, and honestly, I would order everything again, but especially the meatballs, Mafalde Ai Funghi, and Short Rib Risotto. It's a must-try spot for anyone in Toronto. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I went here on a weekday for a farewell dinner for one of my coworkers and had a great time on the upstairs area. This place doesn't take reservations but we were able to walk right in at 5:30 pm on a weekday (but I have heard it can get pretty busy)! Service was very fast as it wasn't busy. The seating was beautiful and very comfortable yet spacious - we sat upstairs. We got the following: - Mafalde al funghi: A signature dish - very very mushroomy and super rich. I honestly think this is a must-have here. The noodle texture really soaks up the sauce and you get a truffle-y, umami goodness in every bite! 9/10 - Lasagna: Personally I found the portion/presentation a little lacklustre but there's not much more you can do with a piece of lasagna. I didn't try it but my coworker said it was delicious and, despite looking small, quite filling. 8/10 - Rigatoni bolognese: Looked and tasted absolutely amazing, a pretty standard, no-fail dish. Lots of meat and the pasta was cooked perfectly. 8/10 - Chocolate cake: Very rich and very decadent. Not my preferred type of dessert, but if you like this, then it is very well done. I really enjoyed the pistachio gelato though! 7/10 - Tiramisu: Absolutely delicious. It's thick, creamy, but also very light. The mascarpone was perfect and the portion was huge which was a great surprise. We all shared it between the 3 of us and we all had a good amount. 10/10 - Sunshine punch cocktail: We got 3 of these and they were a great pair to have with all of our dishes! 9/10 Overall this place is great to stop by if you are craving Italian food in the Yorkville area. Highly recommend but it may be hard to get a seat during busy hours!

Yelp
Yum! Having been to Italy twice, I would say this place is pretty comparable. Definitely one of my favourite Italian places and my go to for pizza/pasta in the GTA. We went around Monday afternoon (holiday) and got a table on the rooftop with no wait. Ordered the funghi pasta and Regina margarita pizza - both were *chefs kiss*! Funghi pasta 5/5 - the perfect al dente and every bite was so flavourful, loved the mushrooms as well. I'm not a fan of thick creamy pastas but this was perfect for me. Regina margarita pizza 5/5 - love love love in my mouth! The perfect thin crust, tomato sauced margarita pizza with roasted cherry tomatoes. Service was also fast and speedy, servers were very knowledgeable with menu items and gave us plenty recommendations. This has been my go to for Italian for the past few years and I can't wait to come back (again and again) for more. Thank you Trattoria Nervosa for bringing a piece of Italy here!

Yelp
The warm atmosphere and great food keeps bringing me back! My favourite dishes included their beef risotto, Mafalde Ai Funghi, or the lasagna. Their in house focaccia is a light shareable while you wait for the entrees, it's also paired with sourdough. The servers are all very knowledgeable and provide great recommendations whether that is drinks or food. This is a no reservation restaurant so it's first come first serve walk in. It'll be harder to get a table for a party for 6 or more. Average wait can be from 10 minutes to 30 minutes depending on how close you are to dinner time. Plenty of parking nearby in the garages or on the street. They have street patio and also roof top patio as well as 2 floors of indoor dining space in the house.

Yelp
By far and away, my favorite meal during my time in Toronto was at Trattoria Nervosa. Knowing it would be hard to get a seat, I arrived at 5:30 PM and was fortunate enough to secure a spot upstairs, overlooking the glitz and glamour of Yorkville Ave. The menu offered many wonderful options, but I knew I wanted to start with a charcuterie board and follow it up with their fresh pasta Bolognese. Both dishes exceeded my expectations. The pasta Bolognese was fresh, rich, and perfectly cooked, making it a truly memorable meal. Trattoria Nervosa provided an exceptional dining experience with its delicious food, great service, and vibrant atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto.

Yelp
Beautiful weather for Canada Day, took advantage of the ROM free admission. Decided to find a nice patio for dinner in Yorkville, I swear. every other car I saw was either a Lamborghini, Corvette or a luxury European model. Didn't see one Tesla, lol. I guess climate change/carbon taxes are the furthest from their minds. They have a second floor patio, beware, it can get hot when the sun is shining. Ordered the funghi pizza and beef carpaccio. Pizza was ok, crust could have been crispier and it needed additional seasoning. Beef carpaccio was good, meat was fresh and had clean beefy flavor profile. Service was excellent and efficient, our waiter was friendly and helpful. Would I go back, maybe. Need to try their pasta dishes to be fair, but I would stay away from their 2nd floor patio and go for their street level patio instead.

Yelp
Trattoria Nervosa THIS ITALIAN RESTAURANT in Toronto Canada was so good, I kind of want to go to Canada just for it THIS KALE salad is the only Kale salad I enjoy, Nduja Pizza Tomato sauce, fior di latte, smoked provalone, roasted peppers & wild flower honey. The pizza was outrageously tasty ! The flavors were all super rich and I loved the texture of the pastas here : Mafalde Ai Funghi Mushroom so good! ‍ 9/10 for me THE TIRAMISU was like a fluffy creamy delicious dream, strong and bold :) Follow me for more food vlogs - "LIVING WITH LUCI"

Yelp
Actually outstanding staff. Really friendly, super helpful. The resturant is very nice it's a bit odd because there are tables outside, downstairs and up on the patio, but still very spacious. Stopped in just for some light afternoon food but it was great would highly recommend. Awesome area to go any time of the day, does get a little busy toward the dinner rush.

Yelp
Trendy place with indoor seating or patio/rooftop seatings. Service was excellent and waiter was very attentive. The food was excellent. The fig burrata was amazing! Tried multiple pasta dishes as well and they were all good. Make sure to save room for the tiramisu dessert, it was the highlight of the meal! Would recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
We were seated for lunch on a Monday, and it was surprisingly busy. Taking the waiter's suggestion, we started with the kale salad which was quite refreshing and delicious. The pine nuts paired decadently with the lemon dressing. We then split both the risotto nervousa and the mafalde al funghi, which we were told were two of the best selling items. The mafalde al funghi has a delightful sauce, and the mushrooms were tender. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The risotto was very delicious, and the herbs allowed a lightness that isn't typically found in risotto. My one suggestion would be adding little more balsamic reduction to the dish. These dishes would have perhaps been more satisfying on a cold winter day, though we enjoyed them in the summer heat.

Yelp
We checked out Trattoria Nervosa in Yorkville, I was expecting nasty expensive prices but surprisingly it was pretty on par with places like Gusto Here's the verdict: Mafalde Al Funghi - I actually think this has the right amount of creaminess, I think Gusto's can be a bit too creamy. So this hits good in terms of creaminess, however, it could definitely be more tastier. There also wasn't enough mushrooms compared to Gusto. All in all, pretty decent Mushroom pasta & I would def have it again - lowkey a comfort food of mine Rigatoni Bolognese - huge portions, the usual expectation you can have for a bolognese dish, could have more sauce tho! Tiramisu - again, another huge plate! I'm loving the portions here, & you can actually taste the coffee taste They plenty of patio seating, we ended up in the rooftop, unfortunately the views were blocked by curtains as it was chilly that night. Def check it out at night when the lights are on, it's giving romance Food: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 8.5/10

Yelp
A few friends have told me that Nervosa is the best Italian in town, and I've been wanting to try it forever but they don't take reservations so you have to time things right. Turns out, Nervosa lives up to the hype. But what I didn't know is that they're owned by the same group as Gusto 101 and Gusto 501, so some of the dishes are the same, and the food is fantastic. We started with the margherita pizza, and it was everything you want in a great pizza - the perfectly charred crust, nice chew on the dough, and the sauce hit just right with the perfect amount of tang and sweetness. After that we got their classic truffle mushroom pasta and rigatoni bolognese which were both delicious. They also had some great bottles of lambrusco (sparkling red wine) which helped craft the perfect summer vibe on their patio. Overall it was an excellent meal, and I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Trattoria Nervosa in Yorkville is a culinary gem. We waited 15 minutes for a table for four without reservations, and it was well worth it. The charming ambiance and attentive staff set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. We ordered the kale salad (insalata di cavolo nero), mushroom pasta (mafalde ai funghi), eggplant pasta (norma), bolognese, and another pasta. Our favourite pasta was undoubtedly the mushroom pasta - impeccably cooked, rich in flavour, and true to authentic Italian roots. The kale salad was ok, and we could have done without it. The menu boasts an impressive selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes. Paired with an extensive alcohol menu, it's a haven for food and drink enthusiasts. The warm and inviting atmosphere creates a perfect setting for a memorable meal. Trattoria Nervosa is a culinary delight, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking delectable pasta and a delightful dining experience in the heart of Yorkville.

Yelp
Came here for dinner for 1 on a weekday after work. The place was relatively busy but service was still quick to sit and take my order. It had a very fun old Italian vibe and I'll probably be back to try other dishes. Have to keep it at 4 for now since I only had one thing but happy to update after the second meal. I had an aperol spritz which was an aperol spritz so no complaints there. I ordered the Mezzi Rigatoni Bolognese and what I got was nothing short of great. The pasta had a great bouncy texture and the sauce was rich and decadent. I threw on some hot pepper flakes and that elevated the bolognese even more. Will have to try more things but if it's anything like the bolognese, I'm excited to try!

Lisa C.

Yelp
This is the short rib risotto and a kale salad in the back. Both were delicious - I couldn't stop eating them both! Staff were attentive and friendly. I would recommend if in the area.

Yelp
Worst Italian food ever. Bread was dry, pasta had no ollive oil but melted cheese. Attitude of service - you took a bite so we cant cancel dry bread - is horrible

Yelp
This two-level Yorkville staple is a hoot, especially in the summer when they extend their patio along the side street. I have two words for you: mushroom pasta. For me, this main dish is a must order. I like to pair it with a light bodied red wine. The service here is very friendly. Definitely worth a go! Note: no reservations

Yelp
Came here unintentionally for a late night dinner and was absolutely not disappointed The atmosphere is gorg. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was FABULOUS. Wine was STUNNING. Everything was : Fresh! Flavourful! Authentic! We got the truffle/mushroom tagliatelle and the bolognese.10/10 Meatballs were gorg and the kale salad was also GREAT! Did not have time for photos because it was so delicious Definitely a must visit. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Long story short: Delicious spot for Italian eats in the middle of Yorkville! Long story long: We started with the polipo antipasti (grilled octopus) which was delicious. We ordered the Mediterranea pizza (Fiori di latte, anchovies, capers, oregano, olives, tomato sauce) and capellini (tomato pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese and basil). Both delicious and fresh! I was full, without feeling that draining carb overload. The service was fantastic and, surprisingly, it wasn't too busy when we went on a Friday night. The decor is lovely and comfortable. The atmosphere, especially on the bright patio along the closed road was nice. I'd like to try their patio on the upper floor as well. Check it out!

Yelp
Highly recommend! The people were friendly and attentive, the ambiance was quaint and welcoming, and the food was fast and delicious (I also ordered a tiramisu to-go and it was perfect!). I would recommend making a reservation in advance if you can; there aren't many tables, and you won't want to miss out!

Wai W.

Yelp
Food is average. Nothing to rave about, nothing too bad that I need to turn it back to the kitchen. Ambience is weird. We were seated on the 2/F, it doesn't feel much like a restaurant, it's a weird space with very quiet background music and very loud human voices/ noises. The light is flickering and the vibe is just so awkward. But food and ambience are not the reason why I gave a 1-star review. Read on...... I visited this "no reservation" restaurant in Jan 2024, and I didn't call in advance (because it says no reservation, why would I call?) and when I drove all the way from uptown to downtown, I saw a closure sign on the front door. I messaged the restaurant via IG and was told that they tried to update Google hours but somehow it didn't reflect the closure. They said they will make it up to me when I visit next time. OK so I messaged them on Apr 17, saying that I plan to visit on Apr 18. Since they don't take reservation, I don't bother to ask them if they can reserve a table for me. So I dine in on Apr 18, mentioned the case to the manager, and he told me "IG is managed by cooperate/ head office/ marketing team, we don't know about it. Let me take a picture of the IG conversation and I'll ask". We had our meal and when we asked for the bill, the manager came and explain to us that "since you didn't book in advance, we cannot do anything for you. If you do book in advance on IG, the marketing team would give us a promo code to give you an offer. Also, you didn't order dessert or espresso, so I cannot comp those for you." I was very put off by the way how the manager handle the case. 1) It's a no reservation restaurant, how the hell do I know I should make a reservation in order to get the compensation/ offer? 2) How would a customer know that there is no communication between the marketing team and the restaurant? It wasn't clearly stated that I must book through the IG marketing team in order to get the offer. 3) The manager could have offered us complimentary dessert and asked if we want it. The server only asked if we want dessert, but didn't mention it would be complimentary (and we don't really want dessert anyways) 4) Our bill is not small. We ordered a bottle of wine. We didn't order just 1 app and 1 main to share among 2 people. The manager could have just give us 10% off or comp an app (which is similar to the cost of a dessert) Keep saying that you are part of a big cooperation and that "nothing I can do" sounds very lame. I am not making things up, see the screen capture for more details. I rarely leave a 1-star comment, but I do think I have all the reasons to do so.

Yelp
We had a fabulous dinner here catching up with friends we hadn't seen in 25 years! Wonderful food, attentive and accommodating staff and a quiet cosy atmosphere. Will definitely return on our next visit to Toronto!

Would definitely go back here! It was a cozy spot to eat out with friends and enjoy a nice meal. The risotto, octopus, and lasagna were all must eats.

Yelp
Food: 4.5 Service: 5 (Jose was great!) Ambience: 4.5 They don't take reservations and there's usually a line. She said it might be 15 minutes for our party of 3 on a Monday summer night around 6pm, but it ended up being about 35 minutes. We sat upstairs in an open air patio underneath a rolling pergola canopy which they opened up once the sun moved. We ordered the kale and arugula salads which were good -- loved the kale salad! My branzino fish was excellent, moist and deboned. My sons seemed satisfied with their pizzas and bolognese with meatballs. Our server Jose was excellent -- efficient and on top of it. Overall, a great place to frequent for a meal and highly recommend if you are in Yorkville! Thank you!

Yelp
Was surprisingly busy for a Thursday night, my friend and I waited for 40 minutes to get a table and since it took us *6* minutes to get there (we were given 5 minutes to return after receiving a text), our table was given to someone else. Once we finally got a table, we got some food (as one does). I got the Mediterranean Pizza, which was fine and not very flavourful. I feel like I could have gotten something similar from Pi Co for less $. We also tried the Risotto Nervosa, which was small in size and quite unremarkable. I'm not a chef by any means, but I've cooked Mushroom Risotto that tasted similar. For dessert we got Tiramisu, which was pretty good. It was just sweet enough and I enjoyed the creamy part on top. We sat upstairs which was a bit crowded, but cozy. It is inevitable to have someone bump into you at least once while sitting. Overall, not a bad place for some Italian fare, but you will have to wait 30+ minutes to get a table and likely drop $40+ for a decent meal.

Yelp
I spent a nice evening here with my wife and daughter. The PROSCIUTTO E RUCOLA was superb . Just remember that the place can be busy in the evening and so you may need to wait outside (they put you on a waitlist and ask to stick around)

Yelp
Overrated. Always wanted to go here but nothing special. I don't get why it's so popular. Had the POLIPO (grilled octopus, lemon potatoes, chimichurri, tapenade, piquillo puree, arugula, fried capers) which was the highlight of the meal. Nicely cooked. CARPACCIO DI MANZO (beef tenderloin, truffled cannellini beans, pecorino, micro greens, truffled emulsion) was not good at all. Tasted poor. INSALATA DI CAVOLO NERO (lacinate kale, zante currants, toasted pine nuts, shaved pecorino, parmigiano, lemon vinaigrette) was recommend by the waiter as it is very popular. No big deal. Nice but not that impressive. RISOTTO NERVOSA (barolo braised beef short rib, local field and porcini mushrooms, truffle, fig balsamic reduction). Not that great. Supposedly one of their best dishes. Truffles were weak tasting. Short rib was done nicely though. Wife had spaghetti with meatballs. Was also unimpressed. Waiter was slow and took awhile to return. Was friendly but slow. One busboy crop dusted as he walked by and which was gross. Patio was nice though. Enjoyed the scenery and vibe of that.

Yelp
(These were taken from last year) Everything from the food to the staff is excellent. Whether inside or on the patio, it's a good time. I think the only think I was not super excited about was the pizza. It was good but wasn't great. I would literally return JUST for the tiramisu. Everything else was great. Personally I could come for just the appetizers and leave happy.

Yelp
Seared octopus was great and the mafalde ai funghi was deliciously creamy. The service was good as food got to the table quickly and I could get a spot on a busy day without much issue. The ambiance was also cozy. Not a lot of wiggle room between tables though...

Yelp
Trattoria Nervosa is a popular Italian spot in Yorkville. I have been here twice, so this was my third time back. The service was great in my past experiences, and they deserve a 5-star review, but this time I am not sure if it's because it was summer and they were busier with the patio opened, the young lady at the door was quite impatient, which was not a great look. When we were seated, our server was super friendly and welcoming. The decor is a bistro vibe, and it was very nice with the sun out. For the food, I always go for the truffle pasta, which is what they are known for, and it was just as delicious as my previous experiences. The pizza we ordered was also flavourful, and the little spice in it complemented the creamy bites of the pasta very well. One thing that took off another star is that since windows were opened during our meal, there was a bee flying around us and our food. This is not really the business's fault, but they could have done something about it. I recommend trying it if you haven't been because the food is very good, but there is room for improvement in other aspects for sure.

Nathalie R.

Yelp
Food was delicious however service was atrocious. The waiter was impatient and almost elbowed one of the guest at our table in the face while pouring her wine. At the end of our mail he basically refused to print a copy of each of our receipts instead presenting us with a POS machine. Call me old school but I like to see exactly what I'm paying for prior to paying. He told us I don't print receipt but will give you a receipt from the POS. He finally did what he was asked to do in the first place because one of my guest elevated the tone of her voice and pointed at each of us saying she needs her bill printed pointing at each guest. He said I will do it but I don't see the point. I could go on but my time is valuable. Again the food was good but the service very poor in our opinions

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time in September and after reading so much about it and hearing such great things, I was really excited to try it. I went with a friend for lunch and we decided to split the Cesare Nervosa which was so light and delicious. I really love the dressing and the fried capers. for my main I tried the famous Mafalde Au Funghi which was so creamy and also light. I was genuinely surprised. I really really loved it. We also got a couple of Aperol Spritz and ended off our meal with a shared Affogato al Caffe overall, it was a really great first experience and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Delicious food and not too fancy of an atmosphere. The pasta, pizza, etc are very tasty. Just be aware that they do not take reservations, so come early or do not be in a rush! Try the upstairs if you get a chance. It is a nice place to sit.

Yelp
One of the better Italian restaurants in Yorkville, A1 service and excellent food as far as ambiance it doesn't exist tables are cramped together and the decor is drab.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love Trattoria Nervosa. We first discovered it last summer and went back in the winter. The food is just as good as we remembered -- if not better! I got the Njuda Pizza which came with honey, peppers, and ground sausage. I don't typically eat pork, or meat for that matter, but this was definitely worth it. My boyfriend got the Funghi Pasta which I preferred out of the two dishes. It was creamy, robust, flavourful and perfectly cooked. And our drinks went perfectly with our meals. We tried the B.A.D. Boy and Must Be Nice (This drink was the best). I had to return the original drink I ordered which was Islington because it just didn't suit my palette. It's a small space and was a bit louder than expected but the service was fairly quick and the woman serving us was very helpful. If the staff at Trattoria see this ... PLEASE BRING BACK the Pantheon cocktail. It's the BEST drink I've ever had in my life!

Yelp
This was the first restaurant in Toronto to have wowed me with their food. I think it caters well to my own personal palette so this has easily become my favourite Italian restaurant in the city and I find every reason to come back when I can. Before I jump into the review I should premise by saying I love savoury, earthy, mushroomy flavours so if you're not a mushroom person you can easily disregard all of this and look at a different review. My favourite dish is the Risotto Nervosa, it's a creamy and mushroomy risotto with a gorgeous braised beef short rib that is so easy to just dig your fork into and you barely have to chew it. The Mafalde ai Funghi is a close second because the sauce on this dish is actually better than the risotto in my opinion but that braised beef really takes the cake it's a must try. The service is quite nice too, but it really depends on who you get to shape your experience. I've had some servers who are very lively and hands on and some that are more quiet and respectful but everyone there is definitely knowledgeable about food and wine recommendations.

Yelp
In all the years that I've lived in the Yorkville area I have to say this is definitely one of the go to places for a guaranteed tasty meal. There is a reason they are consistent... it's because they are consistent! Service is not above and beyond but it is always good. Cannot complain. The pasta though always come through.

Yelp
Went for a quick bite with a friend after shopping. Asked about portion sizes as it was between lunch and dinner so we didn't want a full meal. Server convinced us the salad options were too small to share. So we ordered 2 salads $16 each which were huge. Poor choice as we had to box the food due to server's lack of customer empathy and only concern with the check amount. No tip for that blunder do it was a lose lose for all !

Yelp
Services - Great service, very friendly and quick with service and what we needed. Price - The price is higher than most places but it isn't overly expensive. The cost for the food is pretty worth it bur you should decide that on your own. Food - The food was good for the most part. The Mafale ai Funghi was great, but the Risotto Nervosa was slightly undercooked and too salty... there were some grains that were extremely hard and every so often a bite would be very salty. Atmosphere - Very casual atmosphere, warm and cozy. We ate on the bottom floor which was more date night, where as the top has a more of aMafalde Ai Funghi comfortable homey vibe to it. I hope to be able to sit there during the summer time or on their outdoor patio.

Yelp
Has a great dinner with a friend last night at Trattoria. We started off with the tequila cocktail and a Paper Plane. Then we had the beef tenderloin starter with some bread and oil. We got a pizza recommended by our server, David, and the Nervosa Risotto to share. The pizza was super yummy and I wish I remember what it was called so I can order it again! It was a red pizza with a little bit of honey, provolone and I think sausage or chorizo(?) Regardless, definitely a smash and paired really well with the wine we ordered. Overall, we had a great time, the staff was attentive, the food and wine were *chef's kiss* and I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Upon arrival Trattoria Nervosa was quite busy, however we only had to wait around 10 minutes to receive a table. We were seated downstairs which was right next to the kitchen/ bar, and there was music playing, making the environment quite loud, and difficult to have a conversation in without raising your voice a considerable amount. A few staff members were talking at/ over the bar the entire time we were in the restaurant, and some were speaking with inappropriate language, which wasn't the most professional. When going to the washroom upstairs, we noticed there were more tables and it was a much quieter, more enjoyable environment. For an appetizer we got the house made bread, the focaccia was very good, the bread was fluffy and it was sprinkled with the perfect amount of rosemary and salt. However, the sourdough was very very dry. The bread was served with a small dish of good quality olive oil, and balsamic. Due to the style of the dish, I got no balsamic on my bread when it was dipped, but as stated, the olive oil was quality and tasted good on the focaccia. For the main, we got the Capellini and Mafalde Ai Funghi. If you love goat cheese, you'll enjoy the Capellini, the pasta was al dente and the sauce was good. In addition, my friend is not the biggest fan of goat cheese, therefore, she did not enjoy the dish. In my opinion, the goat cheese did overpowered the sun-dried tomato, however, I like goat cheese, so this was not an issue for me. The Madalde Ai Funghi was also cooked al dente, the sauce was creamy and has a strong mushroom flavour. Both pastas has lovely presentation, and we're very filling. Overall, they were delicious, and if we were to return, we would much rather be seated upstairs, away from the loud, sometimes unprofessional environment.

Yelp
This is my first time having lunch at this place. This restaurant is super closely. Both the grill octopus appetizer and the mushroom & truffle pasta smells extremely good. The biggest surprise is the Tiramisu, which on par with the Tiramisu I had at restaurant in Milan, Italy.

Yelp
The best food and service and management in the Yorkville area. There is nothing close to this fine Italian dining restaurant. Everyone is warm and welcoming

Yelp
Nervosa is a consistent, mid-high end Italian restaurant. You know exactly what you're going to get and it's going to be at the very least, decent. Considering it's location it would not be my first choice for Italian with other great Italian restaurants just down the street (hint: the best one is beside hemingways), but it's always a nice dining experience nonetheless. The kale Caesar salad is a go-to, pizza's are good, and the bolognese is a great pasta with a large portion. I would say nervosa is overhyped, but that's not to say its a bad restaurant by any means

Yelp
The location of this restaurant is perfect, they have both patios and kinda like a rooftop patio. No reservations so you gotta walk-in. The servers are nice and helpful with suggestions. The mushroom risotto was the best I have ever had. Cooked and seasoned to perfection! And then pizza was very fresh and delicious! Even though I am an American style fan, I loved this Italian style pizza! The cocktails were so good here I do suggest them!
