Where to Find the Best Pasta Dishes in Rome, Italy | Eater

"A sturdy amatriciana built on sweet, singing guanciale combined with tomato and pecorino, all tossed through resilient bucatini for a gutsy, comforting dish that highlights the sauce-meets-pasta marriage." - Rachel Roddy

A wonderful, non-touristy spot for authentic Italian food. The dishes were excellent, and the staff was experienced, polite, and attentive. We left very satisfied with both the meal and the service. With lots of love from Lettonia.❤️

It was our first 5/5 experience in Rome. The staff is excellent, very well organized. The food was delicious, in particular the caneloni and the tiramisu were excellent. We thought the house wine was also delicious. We would definitely return in our next trip.

Every time I am in Rome I have to come to Perilli for the carbonara. Absolutely the best in the world. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Great food where the locals eat, not a tourist trap. Away from the busy downtown but worth the walk. Definitely recommend.

I’ve come to Perilli in two trips to Rome, it does disappoint one of the classics. Charming, incredible food and just an overall incredible experience. The carbonara is excellent, the amatriciana was divine and the everything else was perfect! You also must try the zuppa inglese a not so known Roman dessert.

Classic place with a lively atmosphere. The waiters were busy but attentive, and overall the service was nice. The food was excellent — we had the cannelloni and coda alla vaccinara, and the zabaglione for dessert was delicious. Great house white wine, and the prices were fair.

Excellent rigatoni carbonara. Came on a recommendation and its lof2 changing. Service was stellar extra friendly and the artichoke is a must. The staff was accommodating and suggested appetizers. Hands down 5 stars!

We booked a table using their online booking form for 8pm. When we arrived it was fairly quiet with only a handful of other couples. Very quickly though it became very busy and there was a family special occasion right opposite us which it felt a privilege to observe. The waiter was amazing. Incredibly friendly and attentive. My partner and I try and speak Italian where possible (we're very much beginners) but it seems to be appreciated. The food was excellent. I had rabbit with a side dish of chicory which was recommended by our waiter. We had a medium carafe of house white wine, both had desserts and then coffee and it was the least we've spent, though I definitely wouldn't have begrudged it costing more. A really perfect experience.

A local recommended the trattoria to us and suggested we try the carbonara, as it’s one of the best and most authentic in Rome. And he was absolutely right! The place was full, but the resourceful waiter quickly found a table for us and treated us like royalty. Excellent food, atmosphere, and warm staff.
