Loved this old school family styled space. Felt like I was back in Italy. The lemon sorbet was the best! The staff was kind enough to make a me fettuccine pasta that wasn’t on the menu. Highly recommend this place for authentic Italian :)

Food was subpar, the best part of our meal was the chocolate mousse. We started our meal with their caesar salad and fried calamari, then continued our meal with their linguine with clams white wine sauce, and linguine de scoglio. It was lacking flavor and the linguine with the clams was undercooked, making it harder to chew. The linguine was cooked perfectly for the scoglio pasta dish, however I didn’t really enjoy the sauce much. We ended our meal with their chocolate mousse which was a big hit for both of us. We might return but we’re not sure. P.S. they did not have moscato on their wine menu in case that’s what you enjoy too.

You don't need a large space or fancy decor to enjoy a marvelous meal. All you need is this old-time small Italian restaurant. Once you walk in you'll be greated by a smile and the great vibes generated by the experienced staff. Once your food starts to arrive it will become apparent that you made a wonderful decision. The Lobster Tail Fra Diavolo was devoured before I could even take a picture of it. The Pesto Ravioli and Calamari came next and were just as tasty. Nonetheless, for me the absolute winners were the Meatballs and the Baked Clams. So good they reminded me of my mother's cooking and nothing will ever match her cooking.

We totally loved this place! Their foods were nice, service was flawless, and the vibe was also very romantic. My company tried risotto and he fell in love with the dish. He kept talking about that one.. i tried shrimp oil pasta and that one was so great too. I would definitely go back if i got a chance. There are lots of options for your pasta, so if you want, you could choose whatever type of your pasta. The entrance of the restaurant is beautiful.

I’ve been going here for years. The owner and his family are beautiful people and serve the best Italian food in the city. It’s small, quaint, personal and just overall a family. Love this place

I went to this restaurant with another person and there was a 20% tip already on the bill without our knowledge (which is only mandatory for parties of 6 or more; in this case, there was only a party of 2). Additionally a bottle of water cost $15 which was not told to us at the beginning. The server simply offered us two choices of water without saying a word. The food was not the best you could definitely find a better place around and for 2 people the bill came out to $84. Do not recommend this place perhaps go somewhere else.

Loved this place! Ambience was cozy and the pasta we ordered had a great classic Italian taste. The sauce was phenomenal, as if your nonna had prepared it in her own kitchen in Italy! It tasted like an old family secret recipe! Will definitely be returning!

We randomly wandered in here for lunch and were so pleased with the experience from start to finish. The food was affordable, fantastic, and the service was great. Such a cute, hole in the wall place. Very romantic too!

Came here to eat a pie and down a couple bottles of wine. The staff here is great, the pizza is amazing, and the location is ideal. I have yet to be inside, but you can tell families are having a great time inside. Definitely swing by here if you need a bite before painting the town red

Wandered in after the line for John's of Bleecker was down the street. Satisfied with bold flavors and the menu had a solid selection of offerings, but there were only names with dishes and no description. Example: ordered the Fettuccine Maremonte and had no clue there were mushrooms in the dish. Also, slightly disappointed that there were very few shrimp pieces in the dish that came with a healthy portion of fettuccine.

Started out with a delicious house salad. I got the chicken Parm. It left me wanting more. I got served one cutlet of chicken Parm having my wife got the lobster ravioli, which is absolutely the best lobster ravioli in New York City. My mother-in-law got the chicken piccata. We finished with a delicious slice of their chocolate mousse cake. Trattoria is truly a taste treat. I will definitely be back.

Second time dinning here. The ambiance is classic Italian. Service was excellent. Both times , the owner himself greated us and helped us with suggestions on what to order. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive. I will definitely be back.

We ordered the meatball appetizer. It was good. The meatball was really big, but it honestly was not the best meatball I've ever had. It came out super fast. The service is great and everyone was super friendly. The restaurant is also decorated so nicely it just feels like you're not in the city anymore. It feels like you're in Italy. I wish the meatball was a little bit smaller because it was too big and lacked flavor

I love this place. Their fish is excellent. And their lobster seafood special is also excellent. Was disappointed one time and then linguine and clams. It was just large chopped up clams not my cuppa tea. But otherwise this is one of my go to.

My husband and I come here about once a month and this place never disappoints. The food, the service and the overall ambiance is phenomenal. We stopped by on Saturday after seeing a play and this is what we had: Appetizer to share: From the daily specials - Burrata, prosciutto, roasted red peppers and arugula - Delicious Entree 1: Lasagna bolognese - Amazing, never fails. Entre 2: Chicken parm with a side of spaghetti bolognese. Get the spaghetti bolognese, it's one of the best! Drinks: Montepulciano wine and Pellegrino Dessert: Two espressos with biscotti and Sambuca

I ordered over 80.00 worth of food ( take-out on Uber Eats) & I was still hungry after all was said & done. The Pasta portion, that came with our meals were minuscule. They were portions that you would serve kids maybe? Asked for bread ( and got none) Overall, portions were smaller from past orders here, nicely covered up with copious amounts of tomatoe sauce. Skimflation anyone?

This is an excellent restaurant. The fish is great. It's fresh, and the sauces have a lot of flavor. The waiters are very nice. The vibe is casual and friendly.

I requested delivery for the lobster ravioli. It came fast! I did pay the rush charge. The dish is delicious. The portion is good. It's not a ton of food for the price but the price is fair. The quality is delicious. The sauce was flavorful and the ravioli was packed with lobster. It came with Parmesan cheese on the side. It would be nice to have bread but overall very good and will be getting again! I received delivery so I cannot speak to the ambiance but it was packed well and warm upon delivery. I reheated it which made it exceptional.

Solid long time neighborhood italian restaurant that, not surprisingly, focuses on fish and pasta. I had the antipasta della casa, which was pretty good although much healthier than you might think (no cured meats, many vegetables/beans). For entrees, my entire group got lobster ravioli as it was recommended. It was pretty good, though it wasn't memorable enough to recommend or try again. It was a bit fishier tasting than other versions I've had. We walked in 630pm on a Tuesday and had no problem getting a table. There are some outdoor seats as well.

Met a work colleague here for dinner. Service is quick and efficient. Did not have reservations, was seated immediately. Menu has a lot of different options, the person I was eating with is vegan and had no problems ordering. The decor is understated, leaning towards dimly lit. Consequently, the cost of dining here is not outrageous or overinflated, and is quite reasonable for Manhattan standards. Now, on to the food? Each dish, was dare I say, "perfectly" prepared. From appetizers to main course, to dessert: all delicious. Not 1 complaint. Will absolutely remember this place, and return.

Humble old-school Italian in the West Village. Many simple and traditional dishes. Excellent pasta e fagioli. A very good shellfish special for $35-it's really hard to complain that the lobster tails were frozen when you get two of them.

I absolutely loved this place. It has very hole-in-the-wall and family-owned business vibes. Sadly, this place was absolutely deserted around 5-6pm on a Friday so come support if you can. We were the only table here until after 6 when we left, another party came in. Servers here are super attentive. The bread here is good, as well as the oil to dip. We ordered the fagioli soup (bean soup) to try and I wasn't expecting much, but it was delectable. It was so, so savory and delicious. Never had a bean soup in my life this flavorful. We also got the calamari and shrimp linguini. As well as the squid ink pasta. The calamari and shrimp linguini was in a very bright, slightly tart red tomato sauce. If you like sharper tomato sauces and seafood, this is the dish for you. The squid ink pasta had a jet black sauce and it was pretty creamy, with pieces of garlic in it. I enjoyed both. But I wouldn't recommend the squid ink pasta for a first date LOL unless you want black sauce around your mouth. Prices have gone up recently, but totally understandable. Still a great meal and I would return.

Lasagna #1! We don't eat at the same restaurants very often. NYC has so many that we usually opt to try new. But when I want lasagne this is my go to. It's so rich and creamy. I try not to eat much throughout the day so I can actually finish this huge portion. Also, I just love the small intimate atmosphere. Great service, classic NYC.

Overpriced and deeply mediocre Italian. Ordered the salmon, which was cooked decently well but overpowered by a gallon of bland lemon butter sauce. I ordered it with a side of broccoli and received about six small florets. Pretty disappointing for $28. And the server was pretty rude. He acted like we were an inconvenience, even though the place was completely empty when we got there. Wonder why!

Pesce Pasta is what dreams are made of. Delicious fresh fish and perfectly al dente pasta. What more can a girl ask for? My boyfriend and I walked by on a Saturday night and found a table pretty quickly. Staff was always friendly and attentive. We got two glasses of Cabernet and the stuffed artichoke to start. The artichoke was delicious, flavorful and fresh. I went with the salmon special which has a mustard sauce and that sold me right away. My boyfriend got the striped bass in a lemon caper sauce with leeks. Both dishes were incredible. Two generous portions of fresh decadent fish, both in great sauces. We both opted for a side of spaghetti with tradition marinara. The sauce was incredible, so fresh and light but so so flavorful. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente. It's just such a simple dish that speaks for itself. Perfect accompaniment to the fish. Overall, just a fantastic meal. Can't recommend this place enough.

We didn't realize a lot of the Italian restaurants in this area require a reservation, so the place we had originally wanted to eat didn't work out. We got sat down right away so we chose to give this place a try. The food was good, just good, I have had a lot better Italian before and the service was good, just good. The only thing that stood out to me about this place was how hot it was, I was sweating the entire time I ate. I don't know if I would specifically recommend this place

I've dined at Trattoria Pesce Pasta several times and never had a bad meal here. The food is always fresh and tastes delicious. I highly recommend the Tiramisu for dessert.

The food is excellent. Service is attentive. We liked the low key feel of the place as well. We had linguini with clams, lasagna and shared a Caesar salad. For dessert we had cheesecake. We loved the food! They really balanced the flavors. We would recommend to friends and we would eat here again.

Came back here after four years, the customers have slow down quite a lot and each item has gone up by $4-5 bucks, but in this economy, it is expected. service: immediately greeted by the hostess and the server and they were very attentive and helpful. Cheese salt pepper were added. Food: I had a black ink pasta and a seafood pasta. Both were really delicious. It's located near NYU and WA Square park.

This place has some solid Italian fare right in the heart of the village on Bleecker Street. If you are craving for some rustic Italian dishes look no further, this place is for you. We were craving for some Italian food for once and among many Italian restaurants listed in the area we randomly decided to give Trattoria Pesce Pasta a try. A tiny restaurant indeed, yet tables are set to give guests some privacy. We came without reservation but were seated right away, I guess because it was just before dinner peak hour. The wine list and menu are both small and easy to understand. We started with a bottle of Valpolicella and bread with vinaigrette and olive oil, oh how I missed Italian food! . We then ordered calamari friti that is delicious and crispy. As per my main dish I was kind of looking for something else that was not on menu our server suggested lobster tail fra diavolo special it tasted real good and the portions ideal for sharing. The chicken parmigiana was delicious too and we cleaned the plates! This place is a must try, good for date nights and family dinner of 4, we will definitely come back!

I have now gone to this restaurant about once a month for almost 3 years now (it will be 3 years this Halloween!) and I have to say it is my comfort place. The staff is so quick to serve, the ambiance is cozy, and the food is so good every single time. I was raised in an Italian American household and each time I come it feels like a piece of home. Love it here! Officially me, my husband, and my best friend's go to "Italian spot"

Walked around to find something to eat before a show and came upon this restaurant. Was hesitant because it was pretty crowded and wasn't sure we had enough time to eat and get to the show. Definitely was happy to stay as we got seated within 15 minutes, ordered appetizer and our meals and ate it in time to make the 8pm show. Food was delicious, from the fried calamari to the veal marsala and the linguine with calamari ink. Will be visiting again when we come to NYC!

I loved everything about my experience here! I ordered the sausage, broccoli rabe orecchiette. It was DELICIOUS!! It was a really big portion too! I also got the chocolate mousse and it was sooooooo good! I wanted to order more slices, lol! The vibe of the restaurant is chill, quaint, European-like. It was low lighting and so relaxing! The servers were so nice too! I'll definitely come back again!

Came for an outdoor dinner on a Sunday evening. It was divine. The wait staff feels so settled into the establishment, as if they came with the building. It has a very classic NY Italian feeling, like what you imagine in the movies. I had lobster, mussel & clam fra diavolo- absolutely delicious. Seafood was not overcooked and the spice was just right. I look forward to returning.

On a Saturday night there was a line down the block for John's with both dining rooms packed so the wait time was hours. Meanwhile a block away is Trattoria Pesce Pasta with no wait and good food. So avoid the tourists and duck into this quiet Italian restaurant for a good meal. Veal Marsala was spot on though they wouldn't substitute angel hair (my preference) for spaghetti. Service was attentive and the floor manager was hands on. Thumps up!

What happened to Pesce Pasta? Used to be one of my all-time favorite restaurants- dark and cozy ambience with wonderful food. Like old-world New York. I'd trek into the city and meet my nephew here for dinner once a week for more than 10 years. They'd play our favorites by Dean Martin and Sinatra and we'd share huge plates of pasta with enough garlic to ward off any vampire in this life or the next. Great times! Our pal Guiliani was the best maitre d in the city- so welcoming and professional and he'd make sure that the chef got your order just right. Unfortunately, Guiliani hasn't been around since the pandemic, and the chefs seem to have changed as well. Now everything is like run-of-the mill Italian food that you could get in a million other places. All the niceties are gone and the servers don't even pretend to care. What made this place special was the friendly, personalized treatment that you'd get, but that seems to have disappeared when Guiliani left. Breaks my heart to say it but there's really no reason for us to return here anymore aside from sentimentality.

Ordered delivery via Uber Eats. I got the Lasagna Bolognese ($20). Super tasty and filling. I was very impressed, especially since I ordered it to be delivered and it usually comes destroyed. There's a possibility that it will be cheaper if you don't use delivery apps.

This is a quaint restaurant in Greenwich Village worth trying. Nothing to envy restaurants in any city in Italy. Delicious soups, both minestrone and pasta fagioli, pasta dishes with abundant shrimp and calamari. Last but not least is the coffee and dessert, delicious tiramisu. The service is attentive and professional. A place to come back to.

We visited here a few years back as part of a food tour and never forgot about it. We recently came back on vacation and made it a point to revisit. Just as we remembered, the food was phenomenal, the ambience out of an old movie, and the service exceptional. What a delicious find in the neighborhood!

Bland, flavorless food. Does the chef know about salt? Pepper? Ordered the stuffed artichoke for the antipasti... meh. Flavorless. Ordered the penne and the gnocchi for entrées. Gnocchi was decent. Not great. Decent. Like out the box mac-n-cheese decent. Penne was bland. Again, no salt? Then me and my partner were wondering why we weren't offered Parmesan or fresh cracked pepper for entrée or given any bread during our meal .... and maybe I thought they didn't do that here. But on my way to the bathroom I noticed almost every table around us had a bread basket and almost every around was being offered fresh grown Parmesan with their entrees. I've been to Italy a couple times and I've never had bland food. I don't know what's going on here but I would avoid this place if I were you. There are plenty of other trattoria up and down the street in the West Village.

I've been coming to this restaurant for 20 years. The food is consistently awesome and authentic Italian. Due to the fact that this is an old family restaurant, you want see much on social media. But, take my word, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing food! Perfectly cooked clam linguini al dente and a delicious lasagna, so compliments to the chef! Rita and Larry work there and they are fantastic. Enjoy this gem on Bleecker!

There's a lot of places to get Italian food in NYC but for me, no one beats their lasagna. A small family-run restaurant like this is such a treat to experience right in the heart of the village. Bravo!

We were in the mood for old school Italian food and ran into this cute neighborhood gem while walking in the Village. Wonderful cozy and homey atmosphere with classic American Italian music hits playing. The food was outstanding old school American style Italian. We ordered Orecchiette with broccoli de rabe, sausage in garlic and oil sauce along with Eggplant rollatini as entrees. We started with an arugula and radicchio salad which was fantastic. It was crisp and cold and perfectly dressed with a tasty balsamic and oil dressing. The Orecchiette dish was amazing. Everything was done to perfection and the flavors were well balanced. Pasta cooked to a perfect al dente. Broccoli de rabe was crisp and tender. The sausage was delicious. Italian comfort food at its best. Perfect execution. The eggplant rotallini dish consisted of rigatoni pasta with sauteed eggplant in red sauce topped with cubes of fresh mozzarella. Everything was tasty and the sauce was old school grandma style. A flawless dish. Service was attentive and professional. This is a perfect location if you're seeking old school style Italian American cuisine in the Village area. Prices are reasonable for the area as well. It's a hidden gem in the village.

I would give this place a 5-star if it weren't for the rude waiter. He returned the check holder and said the amount doesn't cover the "service fee". I gave him 20% and he wants more! I find it vulgar to people who demand more tips than they deserve. I know service work isn't easy and they work for tips, but don't demand it

My family has been coming here for years for family events (celebrations, get togethers, etc) and we love it! The food is always spectacular, and they offer gluten free options that are still great. Service is not super fast, but that's part of the appeal. Sit back and enjoy your pasta and the company.

I have been going to Trattoria Pesce Pasta for over 18 years. This says a lot about this restaurant. Any restaurant that can stay in business for over 18 years in NYC must be doing something right. The staff is still the same and the head waiter and I were talking about how long we have known each other, he's been there as long as we have been going there. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in my Queens neighborhood but none of them are as good as Trattoria Pesce Pasta, so when we are in the mood for Italian cooking we drive into the city. My original review below is still valid, I just had to comment on their quality and longevity. If you find yourself in Greenwich Village stop in to Trattoria Pesce Pasta and try some of the best Italian food in NYC. Mangia!

As good as ever! Prices have not changed in over 2 years! Quality of the food is spot on! They have been at this location for years and years! This is unheard of this day and age, especially in Manhattan. When we want Italian food, traveling from Queens is not a big deal because we know Trattoria Pesce and Pasta will not let us down

Cinco the mayo Day, everywhere else were crowded. Soo, walked around this area, and this little classic place gain my interest. No waiting, even for Saturday night, and we get quite big tables. These two facts make me happy already (restaurants in new york usually has 30 min line, and for 2 pax usually i get small table with tiny space from table beside). Their speciality is in fish, and if we order fish we get pasta (tomato or garlic sauce). The taste, umm, mamamia lezatos! And for 22 bucks i get fish and pasta. Anddd, wine is only $7/glass. Woof, pretty cheap for this area! This is the place you come not for social media pic, but for the food.
