We went to this restaurant for the first time on Saturday 8/19 and I had an amazing time. The food was awesome. The Service was great. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on wine . I definitely recommend this place.

First time visit: My wife and I made reservations here for our Valentine’s dinner. We’re so glad we did. I ordered the chicken Milanese, and my wife ordered a daily fish special called “Branzino.” Both dishes were delicious. Our absolute favorite dish of the night, however, was the calamari we ordered as an appetizer. The sauces on it were awesome! Our waitress was very attentive, and the atmosphere was very nice. We plan to return in the future.

First time here and absolutely loved it. The food was phenomenal, our server Aaron was awesome, and eating on the patio during sunset was amazing ! Great food, drinks, and service. We will definitely be going back to try different items on the menu.

Even though we are relatively new to the area we've tried quite a few restaurants. We haven't found one that has Italian food as good as this place. Always outstanding and innovativethis is our go-to in the Augusta area.

Fruit fly landed in my salad. Filet was ordered medium and was definitely medium well to well. Chicken parm was tough and not well seasoned. Waitress was attentive.

I made a reservation and arrived on time and was seated promptly upon arrival. The waitress took our order and provided beverages. That's where the positives end. After waiting exactly 1 hour I asked the waitress for the status of our entrée's. She said she would ask the manager. 10 minutes later the manager strolls by our table, taps on it and say" yours is the next out" and keeps walking. 10 minutes later, we are presented with what I can only describe as burnt breaded meat slabs. Not slightly overcooked but burnt. I told the waitress and expressed our displeasure at having to wait nearly an hour and a half to be presented with burnt food. This was two of the three dishes we ordered. She apologized and said it would be removed from the bill which goes without saying. The part that really upset me about this entire experience is the managers nonchalant attitude. While waiting for the member of our party that did receive consumable food to finish, I called the manager over because the trash that was supposed to be taken away was still sitting on the table. She comes over, I show her the food, she comments " The waitress tols me. Yeah, it is a little dark" and apologies. So not only did she know about the fact that she had a dissatisfied party in her establishment and did nothing to acknowledge or address it until I called her over. She then downplayed the state of the dishes as "a little dark." It was by far one of the worst dining experiences I've endured in a very long time. I would not recommend this establishment.

Some dishes were too salty or not enough salt. Very overpriced for the quality of the food. The waiter didn't really check on us throughout the meal as well. It seemed way to loud for the amount of spacing between the tables and dividers as well. Indoor or outdoor seating available. Paper tables with crayons were given to us even though there were no children in our party.

Yelp
Wife and I had passed this place a few times and said we were going to try it out. Ended up making this our weekly post-church dinner with our kids. Food: Excellent we all had different delicious pasta dishes , my wife and son had the Chicken Alla Limone, our daughter had the Spaghetti Bolognese, and I had old faithful Chicken Parmesan. All of our meals were great. We ended our dinner with some of the best cheesecake we've had in a while! First choice was Tiramisu but it was sold out, we will be back for that. Service: Excellent, we were greeted as we arrived by a host at a reception type desk, he and our waitress Courtney were equally friendly and polite. Our waitress told us she was also a manager and her customer service and recommendations were helpful and she was so attentive. Ambiance: Welcoming environment, with a laid back feel. Modern diner vibes, full bar, booth seating and outdoor dining. Good for a date night or family meal. This place checked all marks!

Yelp
For the cost of the food, it was disappointing. Out of 6 people, only 2 of the entrees were good. The chicken Marsala was basically overcooked baked chicken on top of a mound of linguine and mushrooms with Marsala sauce. The pasta and mushrooms were good, but the chicken was not. The chicken melenese was great, and the risotto was also good. Service was a bit slow, but it didn't bother us. If you go in expecting a slower experience, it's fine. The ambience was fine. The inside seating was comfortable, but not large. They have a large outdoor covered patio, but only a few fans so I'd recommend eating outside when the temperature is comfortable. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Average cost was $50 to $60 per person. Pricey for the quality of food served.

Yelp
A new favorite! Trattoria Polipo delivers on all fronts--warm, welcoming service, cozy atmosphere, and seriously delicious food. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the hostess was absolutely amazing--made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. The cacio e pepe? Incredible. Simple, classic, and done perfectly. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Bucatini Amatricana was so very overly spiced it was inedible. This is coming from a kimchi lover. New cook in the kitchen, perhaps with no idea how much heat to add? Trout was just covered in stuff- the opposite of Italian simplicity. Rye bread was served with olive oil and drinks?!?!

Yelp
Trattoria Polipo located on Walton Way Augusta, GA Food: We ordered the chicken and waffles with chicken cracklen... "oh my god" it was amazing. The waffles were delicious! Crispy on the outside soft on the inside, the sprinkle sugar and pre-poured syrup put it all together. It came with a strip of "real" thick cut bacon fried crispy... simply delicious! Service: We were greeted as soon as we walked into the establishment, warm and friendly smiles are always appreciated. Service was excellent. Ambience: Nice ambience, clean and orderly with some cool wall art.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Augusta. Generous drinks, well mixed and interesting. My husband had the best wagyu steak he's ever had. They always do nice finishing touches, like the focaccia bread, the souvenir matchsticks, the crayons for the table. Service is great. This is our go-to date night spot. Also of mention, there's no comparison between trattoria and the other Italian restaurants in town. None.

Yelp
Con 1. As seen in the picture the bread was undercooked, I got a salad with my meal and specifically said I cannot have anchovies, and they brought out anchovy salad dressing, main course was cold, husbands was luke warm, sent mine back to be heated. After all of that, no desert needed. Pro- Italian soda was great, old fashion drink was amazing. Overall meal was $94 with no appetizers or deserts, not worth it.

Yelp
I have been here once before, when it first opened and we enjoyed the visit. The only gripe we had was that it was very loud. We talked up the restaurant to our friends and were looking forward to coming back. We had friends come in from out of town and thought this was the perfect opportunity to revisit. Big mistake. We ordered mozzarella sticks, which came with the smallest drizzle of red sauce I've ever seen. The flavor was decent, but so dry. I asked for extra sauce, and none came. I Asked two more times, and by the time I got it, the appetizer was cold. Strike one. I ordered chicken parmigiana and subbed the spaghetti for a penne style noodle. The food was pretty bland. They didn't tenderize the cutlets, and the breading was on the burned side. Strike 2. When the bill arrived, they overcharged us for the chicken. Charged $5 to switch the noodles, charged $17 for a glass of the house cab, and a whopping $23 for a Manhattan. Strike 3. To be honest, the service was subpar. The food was just ok. It was so loud that we could not talk to each other comfortably, and the prices were outrageous. The one positive thing I have to say about the experience is that the gentleman at the host stand was very pleasant and quick to smile. Thank you for that. The icing on the cake however, is the next morning I was violently ill. My husband seemed ok, so I thought it was just me until my friend messaged me and said his wife, who got the same dish except with veal instead of chicken, was also very sick all morning. I will not be returning.

Yelp
Ambience. C (acoustics inside VERY LOUD) Service. A+ Food. B Price. B Found in back of strip mall off Walton way extension. Lots of private car parking. Has covered outdoor seating as well as inside seating. Clean and nice ambient lighting. My only con was the acoustics and echoing is Extremely LOUD inside restaurant. Needs noise buffers to absorb sound. Service was very friendly. And helpful describing menus and items. Full bar. Wine was good and priced by glass or bottle. NOW the food to me was Hit and miss. Presentation was gorgeous and large amounts of food for platings as lots of main dishes were $25 and Up. I liked they make their own pasta. It would be interesting to see if I cold actually order my pasta more al dente. I like my pasta on chewier side than in the mushy side. My friends bolognese bucatini was nicely flavored with hints of chili flake powder I sauce. This gave a nice lite spicy. I still thought the dish needed a little more acid. Wey meaty and very large pieces tomato with chunks of ground beef. It's my friends favorite and orders all the time. I thought OK. My other friend ordered the once thick pork chop grilled a lovely medium. Over risotto (which I thought the pork and risotto needed more seasoning. Another friend had the fish. And beautiful presentation. Just a tad overcooked and dry in areas but he enjoyed it anyway. I had the fried stuffed pasta with bolognese. No flavor. Had to get salt and pepper and even add lemon to give some flavor to dish. The crab appetizer was crabby portion. Albeit came out barely warm. So asked for some additional warmer sauce to dip into and definitely needed lemon. The side salads?! Hmm. Small and drenched in oil and green herb...but no flavor. Asked for pepper and salt. And lemon. Thank goodness for condiments. I did have to dress up all the dishes to give some flavor tonight. I'll try again. And try something different. I want to give this place some hope. Lovely service and the wines and drinks And clean bathrooms. Today was lots of misses with mainly food. I shall go back to give another chance for food. NOT a FaN ... yet. .

Yelp
Salty food. 50 mins waiting for the food. There were no more plates as they said they ran out! So we ate our food in the serving plates and no plate for the bread! It was hilarious! Will not come back! It's over rated even the salad was salty!

Yelp
We came here in on Thursday night, seated right away! Our hostess and server were very nice! They get 5 stars. Started with a latte...very good! The salad was too bitter, something was off, I couldn't eat it, and stuck with the table bread. Our appetizer, the stuffed fried pacherri was good. If nothing else the pasta here is some of the best in the CRSA! I had the lasagna and my husband had the steak. My only complaint was the bolognese had no salt. I thought it was me, had my husband try it, he agreed. Having this dish many times over, it was probably an oversight this time. Still, the best, lightest and thinnest lasagna noodles in the CRSA, and this is coming from someone who went to a predominantly catholic Italian school in the heart of Brooklyn NY whose cafeteria was staffed by Italian grannies! Of course we will be back

Yelp
I had an amazing experience with the customer service for my to-go order. Ordering the meal was pleasant and efficient. It was my first time going to this place and the restaurant was very easy to spot. There's and outside patio with plenty of seating and the inside is warm and inviting. There's a bar with a lot of seating. The employees were friendly, clean, and well dressed. And that's before I get to the food. The food was amazing! I got the bolognese 10 layer lasagna. I'm usually not a fan of lasagna if I didn't make it and I was extremely impressed. I didn't get any pictures unfortunately but it was appetizing to see as it was to eat lol. I'm excited to try something new on my next visit.

Yelp
It's kind of hidden at the back of a shopping center, but this is a large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn't busy at the early dinnertime I arrived, but did pick up even though I was there on a Monday, so reservations might be wise for peak times. They had a happy hour special on arancini, and ordering these was a good decision. Delightfully crisp, they came with peas and mushrooms on top and an abundance of sauce and cheese. A side salad with arugula and fennel added needed flavor contrast and some fiber, while my traditional spaghetti dish was covered with thinly layered cheese and was even tastier with some crushed red pepper requested on the side. I imagine the desserts are nice, but I had no room, particular after two helpings of complimentary bread and olive oil. This is not the kind of place that has much for people who are avoiding wheat or dairy, and the vegetarian options are carb heavy, but given these relatively typical limitations the quality of food and the service were what I'd hoped for my celebratory dinner.

Yelp
Trattoria Polipo will now be in the rotation for date nights! Service was outstanding throughout our entire meal. Nicole made sure we didn't want for anything and was excellent at recommending dishes to try for our first visit. We ordered the grilled octopus for our appetizer and it was cooked perfectly. However, I didn't really understand the dish. It was served in a pomodoro sauce with potatoes, olives, mushrooms and sausage which seemed a bit strange. The Chicken Milanese was divine! Perfect amount of crunch on the chicken served with a lemon and caper sauced pasta. My fiancé ordered their chicken Parmesan which is probably the best we've had in Augusta thus far. My only complaint is some of the staff were in T-shirts and other customers were dressed extremely casual (Jean shorts and crop tops) For the price of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant I would expect a nicer dress code to be enforced. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and can't wait to return.

Yelp
I came here with some friends for dinner and I loved the food they have here. They have a fairly extensive menu but everything tasted amazing. I apologize I don't remember the exact names, but I'll do my best to describe it. Their salad, that they give before the appetizers come out, was fresh and pretty delicious. In addition to the leafy veggies, it has chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, and a slice of mozzarella cheese. For appetizers, we got the fried cauliflower. It's the second time I got this and it's delicious both times. It's not too greasy and pairs really well with the tomato sauce under. I got the carbonara pasta and the pasta was cooked very well and the sauce was good as well. My only complaint is that it was a tad on the saltier side. For dessert, I got the tiramisu and it's one of the best tiramisu I've had in Augusta! The coffee is super smooth and there was a good ratio of all the layers.

Yelp
Sadly headed downhill. A couple visits were fantastic - tonight, taking a new friend to the place what a sad act disappointment. Some dishes were Ok after a long, long wait. One had cold pasta. The worse thing though was they clearly do not know how to make Veal Parmigiana. It was terrible - a slab of tough meat, not in a light coating but a sticky mess of cheese and goop. And Burnt at edges and bottom, We won't ever go back again - and we did have a really great impression a year ago. This does seem to be a general thing with Augusta restaurants though. Great at first - terrible later on.

Yelp
Not worth the price in my opinion. Food is not bad but it's nothing special. Staff is nice and the space is cute for a date night.

Yelp
I've been patiently waiting for this place to open for what seems like an entire year! Happy to report that my patience was rewarded with good food and good service. First, the ambiance and vibes: We ate at the bar but were welcomed and seated quickly. There is a giant octopus mural that aligns with the polipo name. Loved it. Food: My family is from NYC so I've had better Italian food, but I haven't had better Italian food in Augusta. Our house salads had a good amount of dressing--not too wet and even throughout, fresh mozz, good mix of veg. Our first course was a bit of a mixup. The direct translation of the bolded text was fried cauliflower. Underneath where you'd expect ingredients it says "Ricotta dip with calabrian chili oil." We thought we were ordering the second part so we were surprised when we got large pieces of fried cauliflower on top of marinara with no ricotta in sight. Was the cauliflower dipped in ricotta before frying? Who knows. It was good regardless but this should be clarified a bit. Our pasta dishes were delicious. Large portions, good prices. We'll definitely return and happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Yelp
I went during the week the outside seating was nice and we chose to sit outside. Our waiter was nice. I love Italian food as Italians know you must have bread with your meal . Bread that we were given was good but only 2 small shaves of a loaf . I asked for more and got 1 1/2 shaved pcs . We waited 45 minutes for our dinner to be served but I have to say the food was very good and I'm from NY so I know good Italian! Just wished it came out faster and I could get a loaf of bread with my meal . Not sure if I'd go back

Yelp
Trattoria Polipo is owned by local restauranteur Kevin Goldsmith, the former owner of TakoSushi. I moved to Augusta two years ago and was excited to see the sign for Polipo on Walton Way Ext, but figured it had once been open and recently closed. After visiting last week, I was glad to know it was just a long-term project. The dining room is nicely decorated with an Old Italian vibe and the large patio is just right for summer evenings. I arrived in the parking lot around 4:30pm and Kevin met me as I walked up to the door. Mind you, I didn't know Kevin, it's just the type of host he is. I walked in and sat at the bar and engaged in some good conversation with Kevin and the bartender. I ordered an Old Fashioned (quite delicious) and two appetizers. The Stuffed Paccheri (House Made Pasta Stuffed with Bolognese, House Made Mozzarella, Ricotta and Pomodero Sauce) and the Zucchini Roulades (Ricotta Cheese, Herbs Fines, Marinara and the produce comes from a local farm owned by one of Kevin's friends). Both were excellent. The sauces were quite divine and supported the amazing stuffing in both dishes. Chef Nate Lindsay is quite talented. I spent about an hour at Polipo and by the time I left there were approximately 25 diners in the building. I am truly looking forward to my next visit during which I'll be eating a full dinner and trying some different wines. They're not advertising, but if you're in the area, stop in and say hi. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
So much food! It was all delicious. I especially enjoyed the bucatini all amatriciana. And our server, Casandra, was amazing!

Yelp
On a business trip in Augusta, GA. Decided to grab dinner here to go. Decided to stay and have dinner at the bar. The service here was lovely and the food was even better. The restaurant is upscale and a perfect place for a romantic date. I had the Octopus and Escargot it was absolutely delicious. It was served with bread and olive oil. I had a lemon drop margarita with sugar rum and it was soo good. I can't recall the name of the pasta I had but it also was delicious. The bartender Chad had excellent recommendations. He sparked up conversation and even had a few anime recommendations. I look forward to visiting again!

Yelp
Visiting here. Hence first time here. Manager or owner greeted me. He was kind and attentive. I like the fact that he is very involved and leading. Drink is refreshing to the palate ( Cioccolato) you can taste a hint of chocolate smooth gin and vermouth. The Bartender made the combination very well. I ordered the Coccio e Pepe. It was tubular pasta shape With Parmesan cheese. It tasted like Mac and cheese with butter to me. It was delicious. I did miss eating Mac and cheese. I had a soup of the day. Which was bean soup. I did not enjoy that one very well. Because it was not soupy. It was over cooked and bland. Other than that everything else was delicious. It is a quaint place. Very family orientated. I do like the ambience. It was a clean place. Staff was nice and helpful.

Yelp
Great ambience. We went on a Saturday night. Our server Cassandra was lovely and very attentive. The food was delicious and worth the wait for the main entree, but next time I'd like you to go during the week. I'll definitely go back.

Yelp
Great dinner date location. Food was some of the best I've had in the Augusta area. Wait staff was very attentive and provided a good wine suggestion. I can't wait to go again.

Yelp
We found this little gem just by doing a Yelp search. Plus after reading some of the reviews we thought that we would try it. Nice little restaurant sitting back off the road and plenty of parking. If you're in the outdoor seating they do have that. When we first entered I will admit the ambience is a little loud. But that's because of how the acoustics in the room are. High ceilings and nothing to really buffer out any of the noise. But let's face it I'm there to eat. I'll go to the service. First of all great service from the moment we entered throughout the entire meal! Wonderful, wonderful service! Our waitress helped us understand a little bit about the history of the restaurant. We did eat a few appetizers. I tried their escargot and my husband had the escargot and octopus. Both are utterly delicious! I like the butter that they put the escargot in as it's not as greasy but has a very nice flavor. We also had the fried calamari with our dinner meal. Normally I'm not a calamari fan because most people do not know how to make it and it is usually rubbery. This was amazing! Truly one of the best fried calamari I have ever had! I love the red sauce that they had also with the calamari. Adds a little spice and delicious and the aioli was delicious! We decided to split the lasagna and a salad came with it. The 10 layer lasagna and we had it with the Bolognese was absolutely delicious. I love the cheese they had as there was a fair amount of it and The Bolognese was probably some of the best I think I've ever had. We have already told our friends about it and we will be bringing them back!

Yelp
I had been eyeing this place for a while as several people recommended it. As it opened not too long ago, decided to wait a little while before trying it out. Reservations are made by email request or calling Thankfully...or maybe not...they were able to get our group of 3 in for that evening. Restaurant was fairly crowded so didn't mind that they put us outside in the covered deck with the heater, it was quieter outside. Only issue was, I think we were forgotten out there. Service was super slow so it took 30 mins to get our wine we ordered when we sat down. They did give a generous pour of wine. Our little cups of water hadn't been refilled at this point and we asked for a bottle to be set at our table but it never came. I seriously considered taking the one from the table next to us after that party left but went inside and asked for one at the bar. The salad was yummy. Took an hour to get our food out to us. I got the shrimp scampi which was pretty good but nothing to write home about...it was a little saucy-er than I am used to but the flavors were there and the pasta was cooked al dente. Hubby got the steak which was tender and cooked how he ordered (medium) but was too salty... and I am someone who loves salt. Risotto was undercooked but tolerable so we didn't send it back. The veggies had a strong citrus flavor that didn't really go well with them. It tasted like they just dumped a lemon flavoring on the Risotto and veggies. Overall...ambiance was nice outside, food prices weren't too extravagant, service was terrible (in fact this was the lowest I've ever tipped anyone...I usually tip 20+ percent), food was subpar to okay with the salad and bread probably the best part of the meal, and wine was decent. I was just ready to go by almost 2 hours and just gave the waitress my card without waiting on her to produce the check since I didn't know how long that would take. I don't even think I will be back to let them redeem themselves any time soon. I think I'll just go to Olive Garden or Carrabas next time. So disappointed as I was rooting for this place. it really should be 2.5 starts but since there's no half starts...guess I'll round up to 3.

Yelp
Found this little gem this weekend! Had no idea this place was hiding in Augusta! Next time I will try some cocktails everything looked so good! Homemade bread, pasta and desserts. Probably the best pasta I have ever had! Service was also excellent, we went early and didn't have reservations but I would recommend reservations seems like most people had one. You could also sit at the bar and they had a nice outside seating area. We will for sure be back! Enjoy!

Yelp
So I didn't even know this place existed until my daughter put me on. Glad she did. This place is really good and truthfully, we need more restaurants in the area, away from typical chain spots. This place was very welcoming and accommodating for a decent sized party. We got here late so we chose to forgo the apps, but next time they will be a must have. Forget have a lot of specials which helps to keep it fresh. However, we damn near mandated that they keep the mushroom dish on their menu. It was very delicious and flavorful. About half of the part of 8 got it and there were no complaints to be had. I I had the lasagne which was very good. Their wine selection is pretty extensive with great choices. The wait staff was very polite and helped us in our decision making process and they were spot on. Ultimately, enjoyed our meal and the experience. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Ordered Risotto and it's the best risotto I've ever had. Being a risotto fan, I'd order it every Italian restaurant I went to, tried many places in the States and Asia, but this place is the best one! Food just take a while to come out but worth it! Luckily we came early otherwise it's crowded.

Yelp
Are there on Dec 27, 2024. Food and service was very good however it is highly overpriced. There are others equally as good that are a better value for the money.

Yelp
Wow, we went here for the first time and it is definitely our new favorite Italian place in the city! Firstly, I don't think I have ever seen faster service- everything we ordered came out in under 5 minutes, and everything was fantastic! I got the lemon pasta and my boyfriend got the lasagna, and they were both perfectly cheesy while still being flavorful. Their cheesecake was also amazing! I did take one star off due to the fact that when we went, there was a spill on the floor that had not been cleaned up so the floor was very slippery and I did trip on it. However they were apologetic about it, so I don't blame them at all. I definitely will be returning!

Yelp
Really enjoyed this new restaurant on Walton Way... Food was good and our waitress Nicole was awesome and very attentive. My only complaint is they don't have listed anywhere on website that you have to make reservations. The options were to sit at bar or on the patio. Our meal choices we all enjoyed.

Kerry L.

Yelp
Food was so good! Complimentary bread and oil and our entrees came with a house salad. We started with the calamari which was delicious. Our entrees were the Fungi di Tartufi and the Carbonara, generous sized portions. I got the drink on special- an orange gin fizz. We got the Tiramisu for dessert. Service was awesome, Haley was a great server!

Yelp
Couldn't wait for this restaurant to open & I'm 100% happy it has. The inside is simple & clean w/ an outdoor patio seating available. Our server alize...she was very pleasant and gave her recommendations when I asked. The food is phenomenal. You can taste the freshness in the herbs & the hints of citrus in the olives..the pure perfection of pasta & housemate sausage. I highly recommend this delicious restaurant. For appetizers we had the escargot & octopus (entrambi) which was cooked in a seasoned butter w/ breadcrumbs or panko. The zucchini roulades were a perfect tender w/ ricotta. The fresh olives had a delicious citrus to them. The salads were very tasty & fresh. Our dinner was the fettuccini al limone with the most delicious fresh lemon flavor & capers & I indulged in the Bucatini Amatriciana, the house made sausage is phenomenal & there is so much in the portion. The bucatini was perfectly cooked. A nice touch of spice from the Calabria pepper. We even did dessert. The chocolate tort w/ vanilla gelato was nicely made w/ some of the sweetest Blueberries . Overall a definite A+. I can't wait to come back to try all the other dishes that caught my eye. Great date night.

Yelp
Upset at the amount of people I saw here Saturday night that did not bother to write a review for a new locally owned restaurant- so here I go. Went here for an date night and I'll start by saying the welcome was lovely. The inside of the restaurant has a very nice vibe. A lot of seating available and a bar. Customer service was great, I believe the owner even came around and spoke to us for a minute to ask how everything was. Drinks- I ordered a Giardiano and a cosmo, both were delicious. My boyfriend ordered an old fashioned and the agave paloma and said they were also good. Starters- We started with the entrambi escargot and octopus which was SO good! The octopus was up there with some of the best I have ever had! The house salad that came with our meals was also very good. I'm not sure what dressing it was tossed in but it was perfect! Entrées- I had the entrambi scampi. Flavor and portions were very good however I wish it had been a little less liquidy. My boyfriend got the chicken parmesan and had absolutely no complaints! He said the sauce was delicious and that the chicken had been perfectly fried. We did not have room for dessert after all of the delicious food that we'd already indulged in but I heard something about a homemade tiramisu that I will have to check out next time!

Yelp
Overall we had a good experience here. We ordered a vodka gimlet, arancini, beef bolognese and chicken Marsala. The service was great, the food was really good, but I did not like vodka gimlet. The entrees were pretty large, after eating our appetizers and the house salad it comes with we brought leftovers home. We've tried other Italian restaurants in the area and haven't liked any of them besides maybe Cucina 503. I would say this place is the best Italian in the area.

Yelp
Very welcoming environment, good food, excellent customer service and ambiance. They honored our request for a quiet table. It was a very pleasant experience.

Yelp
I have been to Italy 5 times. You know you are in a descent Italian restaurant of the server pronounces bruschetta correctly. They do and that means a lot.

Yelp
Service slow, unless they were collecting dishes, whether completed or not. Wait staff was very pleasant though. Food was meh - chicken Milano barely registered any lemon, and it was dry. Chicken was breaded and cooked perfectly, though. Wine list was fairly good but pretty high. The restaurant was so noisy it was hard to have a conversation- ceiling is bare corrugated steel, so no surprise there.

Yelp
Went with some friends for dinner last night and was pretty disappointed with the service (especially after reading so many positive reviews). My friend made reservations for 730 and we were seated right on time. We were seated outside in their covered patio that had a heater. Our drink orders were taken pretty quickly but took maybe 30 to 45 minutes before we got our drinks. By the time I got my glass of wine (it was a generous portion) I had long finished my glass of water which had not been refilled nor did our table get a bottle to refill our water ourselves. I enjoyed the bread (nice crustiness to it) and the salad that came with the meal. The salad was unique...it had celery and chickpeas. The salad was probably my favorite thing I ate. I ordered the pork loin marsala. The pork and marsala was decent. The veggies that came with it looked great but didn't taste great....some bites were way too salty while others had this odd citrus taste. There was also risotto which I was excited to try but it was a touch underdone. Tried a bit of my friend's shrimp scampi...it was okay but nothing special...it was very saucy. Service was slow....we had to ask another server to tell our waitress to bring the check and boxes but when our waitress came back she had neither. I did visit the restroom during my visit. The floors were a bit wet and dirty. Will maybe give them one more chance but probably not anytime soon.

Yelp
We came in once and it was delicious. The drinks were well balanced and the food was great. We recommended them to everyone we knew. We came in a second time and I was really disappointed. I ordered the mushroom pasta they had on special and became violently ill not even 20 minutes after dinner. Discussing food allergies is my go to if I'm not asked and I let the server know I have a beef and pork allergy. I assume the mushrooms were cooked in a beef stock. I was really unhappy afterwards.

Yelp
Holy Smoke. We had dinner here Friday night, impromptu, and we chose to sit at the bar since there was a 45 minute wait for a table. Ambiance, food, service were all top notch. Expensive for us (hey, we're educators) but worth it. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Some friends and I dined at Trattoria Polipo on a Wednesday at 6:30. I HIGHLY recommend reservations. We didn't have one and we were the last walk-in table they accepted. The rest of the restaurant was booked up pretty much! The inside of the restaurant was chic and sleek, with nice lighting, and nice Italian music to set the tone. Leaving 3 stars for the staff and staff alone otherwise it'd be 2; they were so fun, friendly and kind. They let us enjoy their patio outside after our meal because it was empty. We stayed quite a while and they were more than pleasured to let us do so. The were very sociable and let us relish our time outside. Seating was a little odd inside, we were put in a corner behind a wall blocking our view of the entire restaurant. They offer bread which was good the first time or two but then progressively got colder and harder. We couldn't agree on an appetizer so none for us but the stuffed paccheri sounded delicious! They ordered two cocktails which were strong and just on a rock, with no presentation whatsoever. We ordered the cacio e pepe, beef bolognese, and the leftover lasagna. All came in big portions (which explains the prices I assume) and the dishes all had good flavor. The cacio e pepe got cold very quickly & was hard to eat because the noodle used in the dish is long with a small hollowed middle making it hard to slurp up the noodles. Overall I probably won't go back, everything left me feeling apathetic.

Yelp
We have been to this restaurant five times. The service has always been the very best. The first three times we thought the food was as good as the five star Italian restaurants we were used to in NYC. Slight decline the forth time. Last week we were disappointed. Marginally better then good pizzeria at about twice the price. The place has a nice ambiance till it gets crowded. The metal ceiling amplifies the noise.

Yelp
Enjoyed our food. It was a quiet day so we had a lot of attention. Clean and professional.

Yelp
Amazing food. It is a little loud so not something for an intimate date night, but incredible food. I had the burrata peach salad, lasagna with meat sauce and deconstructed cannoli. This is a hidden gem

Yelp
The food was amazing, service was fast and drink selection was very good. We had the tiramisu and chocolate torte for dessert and were very happy with it

Yelp
The ambiance and service is that of a fine dining restaurant. The food is to die for and consistent each visit. It is all freshly made and delicious!! After this visit we took our family and there wasn't a dish that we did not love. Then we move to the check. Simply put, they could charge much more (although, I'm glad they do not). We leave here with fresh food, that we feel good eating, better service, and it's still cheaper than Olive Garden, where the food doesn't even begin to compare. I am so happy that we have such an amazing restaurant nearby! Well done, Trattoria Polipo!
