These guys cancelled from a 2bedroom condo to a one bedroom booked at Dolphins Cove in Anaheim and offered me a tiny room in Residence Inn with 2queens and 2twins. They downgraded 4hrs before my checkin time. I had to spend 90mins a no internet area when i must have been spending time with family. They offered a 2night certificate (I’m good with not getting it) as a compensation which is not worth it. Also, they charged the same price for the room at residence inn which has an ill equipped kitchen and the service here is bad too. I called them in the night at 12am to be told to deal with hotel. Residence Inn staff say that, their Marriott’s standards are a wobbly pan and 2 tiny pots. Overall, Extra Holidays messes up with your holiday plans and comes at the cost of your time, energy and peace of mind. Wish I had read reviews here. I will never book with Extra Holidays and you don’t do it either.

I have been trying to cancel my membership that I had JUST purchased. They do not answer the phones at ALL. Unfortunately they seem to make it sound so good and easy with flexibility of dates and locations of where you would like to book. That is not the case. The Locations are limited as well. They pressure you with making it sound so good. Hopefully I do get a response from someone to get my refund. Mr Edguardo from the Clearwater Wyndham location who sold me this Discovery deal, made it seem so easy. After the Sale you can register the account 10 days after. BUT you only have 10 days to cancel. So of course when you are able to register and see what it's all about you can't cancel because it's the 10th day. I am currently working on getting a refund, because it is truly unfair that they rip you off like this with their lies. Everything in the documents get highlighted but that part of the cancellation. I should have none that was a RED FLAG!! -Not a Happy customer-

The only reason it is not a 1 star is the property and a large percentage of the staff we encountered That being said, steer clear. They lie by ommission, stretch the truth, and make promises they have no intention of keeping, and the excuse for the last lie is, " I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding, let me give you (insert whatever no cost thing they offer) When we voiced our grievances, we were promised they would be addressed! We were promised a call that very night! That was 4 nights ago. So no they will not attempt to make anything right. Lesson learned. Travel and Leisure/Club Wyndham is not to be trusted.

I have thought long and hard about this review. I truly like the Wyndham brand. However, Wyndham destinations has been a huge disappointment. First of all, we purchased two vacations right off the bat. This is bad for the sales people for the first visit. We went in with an attitude that we could check out two different locations before deciding to purchase or not. The phone representative gave me horrible advise. I had the opportunity to stay at a beachfront location that was GORGEOUS, but she told me I would have to drive to the presentation. We had never been to Ft. Lauderdale before and that made me nervous, so we settled for the inland, not nearly as nice booking. The place we booked was less than we had expected with horrible service at the desk at check in and it didn't have a washer/dryer in the unit as stated. When we arrived we were told we would have to DRIVE to our presentation.... WHAT?/?/???? Then we were told we would be driving to the beautiful beachfront location that WE COULD HAVE ALREADY BOOKED. They refused to transfer our booking to the other property even though it still had rooms available. I was HOT! We did our presentation and were impressed. If the company/reps/front desk hadn't screwed up the trip so badly, we may have purchased. Since then, we had a representative named Wayne Brown that harassed us!!! He was RUDE and DRUNK at the time of the call. He called and left a threatening voicemail because we didn't book our next trip with him. I kept the voicemail and played it for a supervisor. Her name was Rebecca and she was HORRIFIED about the situation. She promised that when we were ready to book, she would take care of us. Evidently, she no longer works for the company, because we have not gotten a response. I called today and was told that to extend it from the 21st to the 24th of this month, I would have to pay $25. It's not about the money, it's about the fact that someone there should be doing anything they can to get us to another presentation and bending over backwards to make sure we have the property we should have originally had. LONG STORY SHORT- HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am a Wyndham owner and I was trying to rent a unit at Bonnet Creek. I called to cancel because I had not heard from them whether it was rented or not. They said it may or may not be fully rented and is definitely partially rented and for that reason, I can't cancel it. I emailed, I went on my dashboard on their website and no response. I called and waited until I talked to someone. She said that I won't be able to find out how many days were rented until 45 days until after the party checks out. At that time they will give me the breakdown of what they collected and then they will give me my share. There is no transparency and no help on the website. The only way to get answers is to wait on hold 20 minutes to hours. And the agent was apologizing all over about the lack of ability to find things out. Wyndham needs to fix this.

Google
Wouldn't it be nice if one of the hundreds of people that work in this building would take a moment to contact Google maps and correct the information on the page? It says Visit Orlando but doesn't say anything about Wyndham destinations at least on my Google maps page. But guess what it's the corporate office, not a Visit Orlando tourist information location. how about add the word corporate headquarters to the Google maps page and then I would know. What a waste of time taking the bus there. At least it was nice for a few photos.

Google
Club Wyndham is a fraud completely. They promised a gift then after the timeshare presentation they did not give us the gift. They are completely fraud people. Don't go for them.

Google
They charged us 3 random times for 250 when we were at one of the Disney parks. We were stuck there without money until I could get someone to cash app some. Then the following day they "required" both my wife and I to attend some bull shit meeting. We have kids they said the kids could come to this hour meeting. Then they said if we didn't all come they would remove benefits from our account. This place is without doubt one of the scummiest businesses I've ever worked with.

Hans F.

Yelp
My grandma once said, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. I wish I never signed up for that dumb gift and fake presentation. How do these sales people sleep at night? I will never stay at a WC resort ever again. Still toying with the idea of involving Nevada AG?

Yelp
I concur with the prior reviews. We were talked into attending a time share presentation after being told we could get a 4 night stay at a resort at Cape Cod. We attended so we would not lose our deposit. We told the initial sales person we had no interest after having gotten rid of a time share. She said she understood but we needed to listen to the presentation to get our gift. After we then had to endure two other sales agents trying to sell us on a purchase. After three hours we finally were able to leave. When we got out travel voucher, Cape Cod was not on the list. The travel voucher company is listed on the web as a scam. The dining card is a joke. The three hours we were there were a waste of our time. It was the worse time share presentation we ever attended.

Yelp
I am surprised that there are not more current reviews. As stated earlier by so many, if I could give a negative number to Wyndham Destinations I would. I have been almost driven to default by their deceptive sales techniques and now trying to deal with an elusive department named Wyndham Cares. It is obvious they do not. They told me to buy more points so that I could rent them, then sent me a cease and desist letter threatening to cancel rentals while people traveled. They told me I could refinance my loans to low interest loans. I even had a bank representative chuckle and tell me "no one will touch a timeshare loan" They managed to open 4 credit cards and max them out. Now "Wyndham Cares" has made it very difficult to contact them. I have to believe this is intentional. My story could go on and on with the list of lies, and the best part, buried deeep in their contract is a clause that says they are not responsible for the lies that THEIR sales people tell on a daily basis. Beware, the pittance they give you for enduring the sales sessions is not worth the damage that they can do to you if in a moment of weakness, you say yes. And folks remember, Its all legal, It ain't right, but it's legal. These people raise the proverbial "used car salesman" to absolute sainthood.

Yelp
This is a terrible, terrible company. I sent them a letter on May 1, 2024 cancelling my account as we had never once been able to book a property despite multiple attempts over years. We received no response. Worldmark continued to bill me. On July 5, 2024 i sent a second letter. They refused to respond and ignored the correspondence. In July they sent me to collections. i responded to collections letting them know that i had cancelled this account and the billing was disputed. There was no response from Worldmark. In October 2024 we received another harassing letter from a debt collection company. On November 20, 2024 I received a threatening letter once again from Worldmark demanding i pay them the money for the months since i cancelled this account. I then spent over 2 1/2 hours on the phone being treated in a terrible manner, being given the runaround between five different people, with each telling me conflicting and false statements, and with no resolution. Their position, apparently, is that they have a right ignore my written correspondence and because I did not call them, they have ignored my notice of cancellation. Now, they will not "allow" me to cancel unless and until I pay them for all the months they have insisted on billing. According to them I "should have known " that they have a policy that a person has to call them to be able to "exit" and they had no obligation to tell me that if I did not call. Keep in mind that the original "loan" has been paid off for years and we have never once been able to successfully book something. PLEASE be cautious. This company has cost us tens of thousands of dollars, never been able to successfully use it, and then pulls an outrageous stunt like this claiming they can ignore written communication and i "should have known" to call them instead. I will be filing complaints and am in the process of contacting both state and federal to file complaints with the appropriate regulatory agency.

Yelp
Never buy any kind of ownership into Wyndham Resorts. They take your money and do not give you what they promised. I should have known better! There are better companies out there with better properties, customer service, and locations.

Yelp
I made a reservation for budget car rental and was told that I was charged a deposit and the balance on Sept 28 I was sent a reminder and a confirmation Upon arrival at Orlando airport I had to wait for one hour and a half in line. The budget rental car associate spent 10 min pulling up the reservation and swiped my card to pay again he then said my reservation got booted out now I'd have to pay an extra $250.

Yelp
If I could give this a zero if I would do so. We learned the hard way that you cannot trust the salespeople. We were promised that certain things were the case; that there would be no increase in monthly fees; that there was an excellent travel store help us locate a place to stay; that there were Wyndham resorts in Europe and in various locations in cities throughout the United States. It was all false. In fact, their travel store was a joke--we did much better in 15 minutes than the hour it took to speak to them; when I attempted to reach them via numbers furnished by the company the numbers didn't work; the wait time for answer when finally I located the correct number was ridiculous. And I was transferred 3 times just to speak to someone about my contract. (On multiple occasions) The only thing I suggest is don't buy a time share. Ever. It's the one debt that is inheritable. You can't resell them for a reasonable price. And this company is terrible from a customer service standpoint. And, sorry to be redundant, they lied to us without consequence in selling us the timeshare. Buyer Beware!

Yelp
To Manager......I'm still waiting for the link to be contacted. The link provided a year ago is invalid & I have yet to get this issue resolved when I call. I'd like to be contacted.

Yelp
I would give this company a negative 100 if possible. These people lie thru their teeth to make a sale. They continue to badger you with more info, more numbers, then they throw 10 additional reps at you til you are so confused, you don't know which end is up. Good luck trying to actually reach a real human AFTER the purchase. I spent 1 1/2 hours on hold. Again, nothing but lies, and no follow thru on what they say they are going to do.

Heather N.

Yelp
I told this company my max was $250 per month period, they made one thing $250 per month, but maintenance and the bills for everything else it came to $600 per month. Not very happy with this company, everything they told us was half-truths. Sneaky salespeople and its across the board, We have several upgrades and those too did not come to fruition as described. I suggest you do your research and find someone else to invest in.

Yelp
I had stayed at a hotel owned by Wyndham, so I decided to sign up for their rewards program in November 2017. When I did, I was offered a "special deal" of four days & three nights for $179 at one of their resorts if I would sit through a two-hour sales pitch. I scheduled a trip to Wisconsin Dells, WI, in March 2018. Because of work, I had to change the reservation to April 17, 2018. On April 13, 2018, I received word that a dear friend of mine had died in North Carolina. The funeral would be the day I was supposed to return from Wisconsin. I immediately called Wyndham to reschedule. The customer service representative had a horrible headset. Everything sounded garbled and all I could hear was her breathing. I told her about it several times, but it never could get straightened out. I THOUGHT we rescheduled for May 1, 2018, at a hotel in Wisconsin Dells. Initially, I was told I would have to pay a $50 penalty fee because I was changing the reservation within the five-day window. When I told her I was rescheduling because of a death, she said she waived it (or at least I thought she did). Today is Sunday, April 29, 2018. Right before leaving on the 400+ mile drive, I searched for the reservation confirmation to print it out. When I couldn't find it, I called Reception at Wyndham Vacation Resorts in Wisconsin Dells. I was told that, according to the notes, the reservation for April 17th had been cancelled. No reservation had been made for May 1st.

Yelp
I would do a lot of research before ever buying with Wyndham. A lot of lies and misleading statements. If you are not a million point owner or top tier, even if your priority or gold as we are called you get the lesser of the picks of resorts and if your do get your resort your not given the preferred rooms. Also every time you check in to their resort you have to go to a counter after check in to get your parking pass and listen to the try to schedule you for a review of what's new"aka sales pitch". It's very annoying that it happens every time, even when we left a resort in one town and drove to a town 3 hours away they tried to sell us. Your points get you very little actually, you can join RCI direct and save a ton of money and get better choices in locations. The "maintenance" fees they charge every month forever always increase and you end up spending more for the first 10 years of your ownership than you probably would spend in 15 years of normal vacations. I would really look hard at reviews online if I had the opportunity to before buying. Hard to find a good one.

Yelp
Bought a reservation over the phone. Was told I had to do was cancel within seven days if I changed my mind. I called the same day I made the reservation and they told me they couldn't cancel over the phone. Very misleading. Customer Service is nonexistent. I'm sending my cancellation by certified mail with proof of delivery. If that doesn't work I have to involve my credit card company. Stay away from Windham destinations. I will tell everyone I know about my bad experience. Service is nonexistent. I'm sending my cancellation by certified mail with proof of delivery. Yelp
This company deserves 0 starts. Please protect your family and friends from this company . They are a complete scam and a resort filled with liars and cheats . My wife and I signed up for discovery program and no one told us that in order to take best advantage of your package you have to book 10-12 months in advance , after hearing that we requested a cancellation and a refund . This all happened within 2 days of signing up and now it's been 4 months and we still don't have any update on our refund or cancellation . The company has a policy that contracts can be cancelled in 10 days and we cancelled in 2 days . Whenever we can we are told that it's under review . How much can you review that the customer has not used the service and wants to cancel . 4 months and still waiting ...

Yelp
Wyndham equals YUCK! Properties operated by Wyndham at Valley Isle and Kihei, Maui are both moldy. Valley Isle is a literal death trap, water flowed through the bathroom light fixture, leaking from the unit above, and they gave us towels. Everything was filthy. The beds were damaged so badly that the unit was unlivable. Yet they still fail to fix it.

Jeff M.

Yelp
I am a senior citizen who was ALSO scammed by Wyndham. Their agents sell a pack of lies. I have gotten the Attorney General in Florida involved in my case and now the Boulder County District Attorney is looking at criminal action against them. I suffer from memory loss and have been diagnosed as bi-polar. My husband and I purchased a timeshare from Wyndham in Branson, MO in 2014 and it worked for a few years. In 2019 as my health deteriorated and our income dropped I began reaching out to Wyndham to try to get out of the time share and sent them a letter in March 2019. Instead of releasing me they kept calling me and in January 2020 the agent reached me on the phone and lied to me and said if I wanted to get out of my timeshare I needed to "upgrade" to qualify for the Ovation program. This was a blatant lie and I ended up with a $65,000 loan and new lifetime contract. They have stolen over $5000 from me and have told me that they are willing to work with me to consider swapping out the loan, but still want me to keep on paying the maintenance fees on this fraudulent contract. You will get what is coming to you Wyndham, in this life or the next!!!!!!!!

Yelp
This company, of which I have also reported to BBB, has made a very negative impact on our family as a whole, and their deplorable sales practices need to be considered prior to agreeing to purchase anything from this company (whether a special weekend stay to get you in the door or their vacation rentals point system ownership program) of which I will write down just a few that we experienced personally: not sticking to 90 minute sales presentation, not letting us know our rights that we don't have to attend or can leave at anytime, high pressure bullying type tactics, not responding or respecting our "no", not providing tickets of which we we were promised and asked to obtain for next day over and over again, lies wrapped in more lies about what they were selling and what we would receive, customer service via 1-800 number not helping either with providing info or letting us know our rights but instead making us feel it was our fault?! The list goes on. But when we recently reached out to them once again, they again tried to state it was somehow our fault, not their's. Shameful sales practices, shameful behavior, and very disheartening that they would neither help or take responsibility for their actions or that of their staff that mistreated us when we felt held captive. If I could give a ZERO I would in a heartbeat :(

Yelp
As a new owner with Wyndham, I am extremely disappointed. Since I purchased in December I have had nothing but headaches trying to rectify a mistake that they made on my contract. I have called owner care, Jessica Tello in owner care is one of the worse customer service representatives I have ever come across. When I told her that I was not satisfied and requested a supervisor, she told me that there's no level above her and refused to allow me to speak with someone who could assist. Her title is not CEO , therefore there is someone above her. In the mission statement they thank their customers yet treat them like shit. I have been deprived of the benefits of the program that I purchased which is morally and legally wrong. In all fairness, Jessica is not the only Wyndham employee who could care less about members... They pride themselves in customer service, how oxymoronic.

Yelp
Recently returned from spending a week at Wyndham Pagosa and am very disappointed. We had an A and B side to the Ptarmigan units and they were so dirty that we spent four hours cleaning when we arrived. Food particles in the refrigerator, silverware and utensil drawers, kitchen table and chairs were grimy and sticky, hairs on sheets in one of the beds, floors were so dirty that they turned a Clorox wipe black when wiped down. Complained to management and they told us they are having problems with their cleaning contractor. Such a sad way to start a vacation.

David D.

Yelp
My wife & I got suckered into one of their 90min presentations while at PCB,FL, 7 hours later we walked out spending $20,000 for 120,000 points and our home base would be Margaritaville in Puerto Rico. We soon realized that we made the worst mistake of our lives. Not only did they mislead us, everything they told us was a lie. The places we wanted to stay were never available or we didn't have enough points. We have only been able to use our points twice over the 2 plus years we've owned our timeshare (one of them was along weekend). While on our 1st and only trip to Puerto Rico we learned that the resort had an all inclusive option, figuring that since the wife and I are exclusive owners we would take advantage of this perk. I found out real quick that timeshare owners are excluded from the all inclusive option. I tried and tried to reason with them as I stood there with cash in hand. I mean what business turns down money? I finally decided to get rid of it while we where on our 2nd of only two trips. A young man at the front desk at Margaritaville in Pigeon Forge, informed me that they only have a few units that they allowed to reserve for owners, when I remarked about how long I had been trying to get a room there because we play in a baseball tournament there every year. This has to be their biggest con of all thousands of timeshare owners all trying to book the very few rooms available at each resort. They keep getting our Money each month, plus the majority of their rooms are available to the general public to rent

Dale C.

Yelp
If you're interested in having a good time on your vacations, Wyndham Vacation Owners is not the way to go. They make you feel like all they are interested in is taking as much of your money as they can no matter how much of your time it takes. Even if they ware you down, in 8+ hour meetings, and have you sign a contract, the next time they ware you down again to make you sign another contract taking more money. After they get you with the first contract they scare you into buying more by telling you your going to pay just as much money and not get anything more for it, if you don't buy more. Then the next time they use the same tactics to get you to buy even more and it doesn't end well for you. If you plan a 5 day vacation you only get 4 days because they keep you a hole day until you sign another contract with them. Then you realize that a lot of what they told you is not true, like how valuable their memberships are and how easy it is to sell should you want to get rid of it; and you will want to get rid of it. If you don't use your points, for what ever reason, in a year you loose them, money wasted. They tell you can sell them, good luck with that. The best way to deal with Wyndham is to not deal with them and avoid their sales traps.
