I love the paper, but hate those stickers they put over the front page story

Good coverage of local events. Very political and often single out political figures for attack based on their policies but versed in their integrity. Much better the last couple years with moderate level of neutrality.

I will always remember in 1976 when I went with family for the summer and harvest strawberries. Man I loved it there and hope someday to go and visit.

People like to criticize them, but they are a decent paper for the area. Not all this extreme opinion nonsense you see with other news outlets these days.

Very friendly and effective team — a pleasure to work with them.

Historic place!

The operations manager, Kevin Cook was completely arrogant and disrespectful as I tried to make a complaint about one of his early morning delivery drivers. He was dismissive and rude to me, an upstanding citizen. The driver is driving around in the middle of the stillness and quiet of the night, waking people up out of a deep sleep. Some of us cannot get back to sleep. My complaint to Kevin Cook involves a loud muffler that needs repair. Mr. Cook has no regard for the well being of the citizens of the community he serves he smugly said: " anything else? ". The problem has not been addressed and still persists. Next I will be contacting the publisher.

A total waste of newsprint and ink. Totally biased and limited reporting. If you eliminate the AP articles, the would be just be one page. They drool over anything liberal and slam anything conservative. The website is absolutely worthless. You end up paying for nothing. They will not be missed when they go bankrupt.

The Record Eagle is a small town paper owned by a big conglomerate that seems to be perfectly willing to allow it to rot on the vine. Features like commenting on articles are noticeably absent from its website that appears to have been designed in 1998. A year ago the paper decided to restrict online content to paid subscribers, further diminishing the usefulness of this rag. Not that there's much content worth reading in it anyway. Most of it's stories are just reprints from the Associated Press. The editorial board just regurgitates the typical mainstream liberal perspective. The small amount of local news coverage seems to be primarily devoted to sports. Rather than being the community resource it could be, the Record Eagle stands as a pathetic testament to how to waste an opportunity.
