Absolutely loved this place and loved we got in on live music/open mic night. A total gem and it was hard not to bring back 5+ whiskeys to enjoy at home. The Cherry Whiskey was an absolute unique winner for me and the Rye… I don’t typically like it but I got a bottle. Loved the interior and exterior seating and the bartenders were super helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Traverse City Whiskey Stillhouse is a charming craft cocktail bar right in the heart of Traverse City. If you’re a fan of old fashioneds and similar classic drinks, this spot is a must-visit. The bartenders are friendly, and there’s also a shop where you can purchase merchandise and spirits crafted at the Traverse City Distillery. Our group of five all agreed—this is definitely a place we’d return to in the near future.

Loved our short visit to Traverse City Whiskey Co. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great whiskey. We tried a flight and enjoyed all that we selected. Only drawback for our group was we had such limited time to stay. Highly recommend a stop!

The drinks were unique and delicious. The atmosphere was perfect with outdoor sitting, fireplace, and ample tables. Lastly the service was on point, a truly wonderful crew.

First time here, and I left with a great impression and will stop in whenever Im in TC. Inviting an intimate area where you can really relax. The staff was friendly/fun, and my drink(s) were awesomely good! Love this place!

Stopped in while riding on the Boardman Lake trail. Self serve water readily available The blackberry smash cocktail is by far the most perfect measure/mixed cocktail for me to date (that’s comparing with The Monarch in Detroit and Two James Distillery Corktown for my favorite crafted cocktails). I could taste all ingredients, without the lemon too forward! These bartenders are crafters for sure 👌 My husband had the cherry old fashioned which was also great.

Have been wanting to come here for so long and finally was able to. I wanted to try the bonfire old fashioned before it went away and it was really good. Staff was extremely friendly.

Excellent product and a lovely space to enjoy it on site. TC Whiskey has been a fave since we first visited. They have a variety of offerings and incorporate Michigan nicely into their lineup. Their standard tasting flight includes (1) straight bourbon, (2) barrel proof bourbon, (3) a rye, (4) a cherry flavored whiskey, and (5) a green apple flavored whiskey. Enjoy the tasting out on their patio or atop the CONEX box deck. For a twist, try one of their handmade cocktails. Location is convenient to downtown TC and has parking on site.

Been eyeing this place for awhile. Mainly because they sell the cocktail called Painkiller. It's my favorite drink to order. So, naturally we had to come just to order that. It did not disappoint. It was 10000/10. They use fresh shaved nutmeg too. *chefs kiss* My husband go the sour cherry and I blinked and he was finished with it haha. Next drinks we got a Gin Fizz (a classic) 1000/10. My husband got a whiskey margarita We came an hour before they closed on a Monday. It was relaxing and quiet and only a few other guest out here with us on the patio. They got a fire pit going in the evening which was nice, or sit on the upper deck patio to watch the sunset. I'd love to come earlier in the day and get a whiskey flight and try the whitefish pate and sit on the upper deck patio.

Super fun tasting room! Order inside and then can take items and sit wherever you want inside or outside. High tables, tables, a deck above a seating space. Adirondack chair around a fire pit. Nice garden patio vibe. A food truck in parking lot if interested with limited hours. The flight was perfect and my Cherry sour was delicious! We ordered a cheese dip. A little surprised it was just served with a sleeve of ritz crackers but dip flavor and freshness (from a local place) was delicious.

We were in town for the weekend and stopped in for a nightcap. There was a musician in the courtyard so we sat outside and enjoyed his music. I ordered an old fashioned and my wife a bees knees. Both drinks were outstanding! After the musician was done we decided to go sit at the bar and have one more drink. Someone out by the fire pit was saying how amazing the NY Sour was, so I ordered one. He was right. It was excellent. My wife ordered another bees knees. The bar tender was super nice and we chatted about different restaurants and wineries to try out. An off duty bar tender told us to come back for brunch in the morning, so we did. There is a French food truck there that served up a very nice breakfast! I got a Belgian waffle with Nutella and bananas, my wife the eggs Benedict and we shared an order of beignets. I decided to try the TCWC espresso martini too. It's different, but in a good way. It's an old fashioned with espresso and the TCWC Bourbon Cream. I liked it so well that I bought the kit to make at home. All were outstanding and will go back on our next trip into town. TCWC is a great

Made multiple stops here throughout the summer. It's off the main strip of restaraurants and shops which we loved! It was nice to get away from all the busy places. The "rooftop" seats were nice to just hang out and the fire pit is perfect for the cooler days. LOVED the slushies! We talked about doing one of the cocktail classes next time we're up that way!

I have been coming to Traverse City Whiskey Company for the past 10 years. I felt lucky to be able to celebrate their ten year anniversary at the Stillhouse yesterday. Traverse City Whiskey Company is owned and run by some of the best down to earth people you'll ever meet, and they make some amazing whiskey. Award winning whiskey. You'll always be met with a smile and warm welcome when coming here. Excellent cocktails from the best bartenders in Traverse City. I keep coming back not just because they have excellent products but because the service is top notch. The Stillhouse is a small, cosy spot to grab a cocktail and relax. The outdoor area is nice too with plenty of seating and dog friendly. Highly recommend you make Traverse City Whiskey Company a priority if you're coming to TC.

Cute small bar, great service and fried oh staff with amazing drinks. The barrel thief I believe is called, is amazing. They have a setting area inside and a nice patio/lounge outside great from enjoying nice weather.

Full disclosure I have not been to this business yet but have used their products in my home bar for many years. This review is centered solely on their cocktail cherries which I consider the best you can buy regardless of price point to include the industry standard Luxardo cherries. Their cherries are much more than a garnish that you add to your cocktail but impart a subtle cherry note that is very noticeable when you make a cocktail, in particular an Old Fashion, that adds a nice degree of complexity and takes the flavor profile to the next level. Also as a tip, I suggest putting a little bit of the syrup in your cocktail as well to get a more noticeable cherry note and a tinge of added sweetness to the drink. Nice, nice, nice!!! If you have not tried these cocktail Cherries yet you owe it to your self to buy a bottle especially if you are a bit discerning when it comes to well made cocktails as I am. You will definately not be disappointed and will become a fan for life as I am where this is my go to cocktail Cherry all day long and twice on Sunday's (:. Additionally being a Michigan company with a product that's this good absolutely deserves our support being Michiganders. Five stars in my book!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a drink for my birthday. So glad we did. The porch area is adorable, and the staff was very friendly. They have some great bartenders that know how to make an exceptional drink. Can't wait to go back.

Our bartender was incredibly kind and chatty--just the kind of warm, welcoming energy that makes an experience memorable (and exactly what I love!). My cherry Coke whiskey slushy was absolutely phenomenal--so refreshing with the perfect kick. My husband had the blackberry peach bourbon smash and couldn't stop raving about it. Great drinks, great vibes, and even better service. Highly recommend!

Very expensive for chicken sandwich that came with very small pieces of chicken that didn't even fit the bun. My wife had the brisket sandwich and it had so much fat that she could only eat half of the sandwich. Very disappointed in the food and the price was not worth it.

Stopped in for a drink on our way to the airport and had a really good experience. Great little tasting room with a friendly staff. Wish we had more time to spend there.

What a fun bar type atmosphere. I expected an uncomfortable tasting room offering samples of whiskey. This is a fun place to hangout and have a couple of drinks. They make great drinks! There's indoor seating at the bar and a few scattered tables throughout the building. The patio has a fire pit with comfortable outdoor seating along with a few tables and chairs. They have live music on the weekends and there's table service so you don't have to go inside to get a drink. Parking could get tricky but if you don't mind parking a block away you'll be fine.

Whiskey was amazing here! Had a great old fashioned. Evening was beautiful and we sat outside on their large and aesthetically pleasing patio. Was perfect for a fall evening. Guys in there were super awesome and quick. Wish we had one in our hometown.

This was a great place to stop while visiting Traverse City. Indoor and outdoor seating while trying some smooth and flavorful whiskey. We bought a flight and sat outside to enjoy the nice August air in Michigan. We enjoyed all five whiskeys and would definitely be back if in the area. Fast and friendly service makes this a five-star experience for sure.

Still a favorite and a standout in TVC after multiple visits over the years. I love the selection, ambiance and they make a solid cocktail! Their cherries are also great--different from a luxardo but still distinct and high quality.

My husband and I were driving around on a Sunday and came across Traverse City Whiskey Co. They have flights that you can try, which was awesome! The setting is very laid-back and very warm and inviting. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and they made great suggestions. It was a really nice relaxing and fun experience. It was a very cold and snowy weekend when we went, but they still had the fire pits lit outside, which was great. We opted to stay inside, but it was really nice that they were keeping it clear of snow and ice while keeping the fire going outside to leave plenty of options for people for seating. We had a great time and would love to come back to try more of their menu!

What an absolute surprise this place turned out to be! It's a stop we will have to make every time we're here. While we were here it was very empty so we chatted with the bar tender and she made some great recommendations. I got a cherry sour that was delicious. They have all fresh squeezed juices and don't use any sour mixes. My wife got a cherry whiskey slushee and she's not a whiskey person by any means, but she loved this! Definitely worth your time! It's located in the middle of a quaint neighborhood and I'm envious of the folks that live nearby.

TCWC is a must when coming to Traverse City. Friendly staff, nice selection of cocktails, dog friendly, and cozy seating. Really great place to stop before or after dinner. I would like to see bigger /larger portion cocktails but they're made really well. Definitely take some bottles to go!

Traverse City is one of our favorite long weekend destinations for local whiskey tasting. We stop by Traverse City Whiskey Co. whenever we're in town visiting. This most recent time we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and stopping in for a nightcap...okay, two night caps. The distillery has an undeniable charm. It highlights a rustic interior featuring plenty of exposed wood and metal. The space feels warm and inviting with the right amount of dark ambient. My favorite element of their tasting room is their wall of whiskey barrels, all emblazoned with the company's logo. They take their craft seriously and this attention to detail is reflected in every aspect of their business. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you're in the presence of some true whiskey experts. The tasting room is on the smaller size, but it only adds to the dark ambient charm. Traverse City Whiskey Co. was founded by three friends. Chris, Jared, and Moti, were inspired by Chris's great-grandfather's old patents for distilling whiskey on the family's cherry farm. They set out to create a small-batch brand that would pay homage to their roots and become a staple of Traverse City's spirit scene over the next few decades. They have clearly succeeded! Their whiskey is some of the best we've tasted and admittedly, we've tasted a lot. We always make sure to stock up on a bottle (or two) to take home with us and always keep some on reserve for hosting company! But it's not just the whiskey selection that's amazing - their cocktail menu is fantastic as well. My personal favorite is the Cherry Sour, which is made with their own cherry-infused whiskey. It's sweet, tart and perfectly balanced. Traverse City Whiskey Co. also has some of the coolest merch and unique we've ever seen. From t-shirts, to hats, to flasks, they've got everything you need to show off your love for this classic distillery. We always end up leaving with a bag full of gear and whiskey to take home with us. When I can shop and sport local gear, I do! Traverse City Whiskey Co is the perfect place to relax, sip on some delicious whiskey, and soak up the amazing atmosphere.

Outdoor patio was beautiful on a fall day! It was rainy but still nice with the fire rolling. Drinks were fabulous! We wished there was a little more seating indoors but it was already pretty small and cozy inside.

Pretty spectacular distillery to stop by. I have had their bourbon before, enjoyed it, and had to stop by for a drink while we were in town. I ordered their flight of bourbon, while my wife had a whiskey sour. My very much enjoyed her beverage while I was quite impressed with their bourbons. My personal favorites was the rye. The straight bourbon and barrel proof were very good as well. The cherry and apple were a little lower ranked for me as I'm a little more of a traditionalist and don't go for the flavored bourbons. After this, we split a peach pit, a bourbon cocktail that was outstanding and despite several efforts I haven't been able to reproduce at home. This is a place that we really enjoy, and will definitely return to any time we are in the area.

A quite nice establishment to warm your belly or spirits with Spirits! It's a surprisingly cozy, trendy, cool- vibe place with chill people just waiting to serve you. I tried a Hot Buttered Rum on this brisk day with whipped cream spilling over the top & it's just what the Dr. Ordered! Ky, with her beautiful red hair & sweet disposition, greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. She reminds me of a shy, Irish Lass. The place is quiet today but it's just the beginning of a Northern Michigan, color-filled season. The Stones play in the background & I soon feel my worries melt away. Yes, with friends, family, or alone, this is your downtown "take a breather, relax, chill, catch up" place. The drinks are killer. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I'd definitely come here again in a New York Minute!

We recently visited twice while on a trip to TC. Really nice distillery. I'd had the cherry whiskey before (not a big fan of it neat, but it would probably mix really well). The rye is outstanding, and all the mixed drinks we had were good. The staff was friendly and made great recommendations. They have a great outdoor space, and the location is in town but away from major roads, so the traffic noise is not an issue. Will definitely be back!

I do not like whiskey but came here for my husband who loves a good old fashioned. Needless to say.. we came back two days in a row because it was so good and I actually loved the drinks I tried! I got the seasonal drink and the whiskey rita YUM

In the middle of a residential area, on a shady street corner, is TC Whiskey Co. We were on bicycles and happy to see that they had bike racks to lock up. The parking lot is small but so is the building. You walk in the doors, to a space that is for a large group. Continue through the hallway to the bar in the back of the house. You will see large whiskey stills behind glass, along with shelves of touristy stuff for purchase. Whiskey, drinking items, and TC swag are available. The menu is on the wall, so grab a seat while you decide, but don't dismiss their outdoor patio. You get to it from the door behind the bar. A little odd at first but they are friendly and reassuring that using that door is the proper thing to do. When bright and sunny, the inside is dark, then go out to the patio, it's partially shaded on stones, which was perfect. I ordered a whiskey flight and snacks for the group. We all tried different things and the snacks were amazing! White fish dip, and others with crackers were just perfect with the whiskey. I usually really enjoy straight Bourbons but I wasn't fancy on any of them in the flight, so we didn't take a bottle home, but we did pick up a jar of the Manhattan cherries. Great little spot to try some interesting whiskeys. Not too far from downtown, to find while we were biking around. Loved it.

We stopped by this place last August with my kids and we loved it. They had a full bar area and outside seating. Outside they had a live band which was great. We ordered a few drinks and tastings. All were delightful. We had wonderful service and we ended picking up a few bottles of whiskey and hand sanitizers to go home with. It was definitely a great place to spend some time in. Make sure to try the Whiskey Flight. It gives you lots of options to decide. Staff here were very friendly and nice. They were all very covid compliant with wearing masks and making sure we were wearing them too. Lots fo hand sanitizers available for use too.

The drinks are the bomb here....the skinny dip a refreshing citrus/low alcohol beverage that I tried and fell in love with. The vegetarian pizza not so much. Stay with burgers/basics and go for the innovative drinks.

My favorite whiskey bar. Never knew I was so into whiskey until I came to this place. I love their peach and cherry whiskey so much that every time I go I end up with a big bottle of peach whiskey in my luggage. Can't wait to go back to try some more drinks

Let's say this hidden gem is a must try when visiting Traverse City. Deonte was phenomenal! He ensured we were served quickly and no detail went unnoticed. He's a total asset to the place! My wife and I stopped here while visiting the west side of Michigan (we live in Detroit). I've always enjoyed their whiskey so it was exciting to stop into their tasting room. We went mid day during the week so it was not very busy. We ordered our mixed drinks quickly and they were delicious. They have multiple liquors to choose from including whiskey and gin. We tried both (I tried gin based, my wife tried whiskey base). They were awesome. I wish they had a location in Detroit. The environment was laid back, chill, but clean and modern. We will definitely try and return on our next west side adventure.
