Travinia catered our wedding and we’ve returned to the restaurant for dinner. Amazing food, atmosphere, and prices. Best bruschetta I’ve had anywhere, and the short rib rigatoni is incredible. Bob MacDonald is the BEST person for coordinating wedding catering and you know you’ll be taken care of with him!

Google
Honestly not sure why this place isn’t at least a 4.8. The food is of the highest quality, the atmosphere is great and the menu is expansive. I tried the short rib rigatoni last time I went which was spectacular. I mean it was easily some of the best pasta I’ve ever had… and part of my family is Italian, so I know pasta well lol. The Chicken Piccata is really, really good as well.

We went to this restaurant 2times in one month. Must try item: ZUCCHINI FRITTE - they serve this item with excellent sauce. They were so kind enough that they even customize the beef item with chicken. Lively environment with live music at dinner time.

My husband and I have been to travinia more than 15 times. This is our go-to date night, holidays, special occasion place! We are always satisfied with the food and service. Staff is always very friendly and the food is always delicious. We typically go on Wednesdays because the happy hour can't be beat! My husband and I love the kamikazeberry & blood orange martini. If you're looking for something a little stronger, they have a delicious blackberry bramble! My husband almost always gets their veal piccata or the short rib rigatoni. I am a huge fan of the fettuccini and the Creme Brulee. On Wednesday, they offer martinis half off all night. The happy hour menu never disappoints. The menu price point isn't exorbitant either, which just overall adds to the appeal! If you're looking for a cozy place to sit, they have an adorable outdoor area with fire tables. The village leesburg also allows you to walk around with your alcoholic beverages, which is pretty nice. If you don't finish your beverage at the table, ask your waiter for a to go cup! **Update 5/1** Went to Travinia last night for a late night drink and had a great time. My peach Sangria was delicious. Service was fast, staff was kind, & we will definitely be back!

Google
The location is beautiful! The server are very nice and fast, the food is just bad , it’s like chili’s you just pay more, seafood is defrosted, meat is definitely on the lower cost one , the side order was just bad BUT the people are nice and the restaurant bathroom is VERY clean, and against obvious that the staff is trying , the restaurant is a great experience the food is bad ,

If you're looking for a place to indulge in some delicious Italian cuisine, Travania is the perfect spot for you! It's is our go-to place to satisfy your Italian cravings. The exceptional service and consistently delightful food will leave you both content and happy. A must-try on the menu are the spaghetti and halibut dishes, which are always perfectly cooked—highly recommended for anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience.

This place is absolutely delicious!! Service is amazing as well!! The food is so good, highly recommend the calamari, pine nut encrusted salmon. The tiramisu as well as the lemon ricotta cheesecake were to die for !😩😩😩 Couldn’t get a pic of the desserts cuz we demolished it.

Loved the taste of the food. Their blackened chicken burger was great. The shrimp and chicken spring roll was okay.

Yelp
Been coming since opening. Bob the owner and Jessica the Manager are top notch and do their best to make Travinias the best restaurant in Leesburg. We love coming and seeing the staff. The food is amazing.

Yelp
Parking: the restaurant is located in a town center, so parking is not right out front. There is free parking around the town center, you just may need to walk around a little. I personally enjoy walking around, especially after eating, so it's not a far walk. They also have parallel parking near the restaurant, but it's usually full. Seating: there is a ton of seating at this restaurant (booths and tables). If you have a large party or are going during peak hours, I would recommend making a reservation. There is also a bar area. Food: I've had four dishes here and all 4 were delicious! My favorite is the shrimp & lobster alla vodka, but it's the chef's features (so it's not always available). Bathroom: the bathrooms are located in the back near the kitchen area. The women's bathroom had only 2 stalls. Price: it is more on the expensive & fancy side. The ambiance is nice and romantic. So perfect for a nice sit down date! Service: our server was very friendly and sweet! Once it became peak dinner hours, they definitely got busy, so you may have to do a little more waiting. However, they will come to your table eventually.

Yelp
Very good food that needs some detail work to bring out the fifth star. Caprese salad needs better tomatoes, cut thicker. Meatballs were tasty but not packed tightly. Fell apart in the sauce. Eggplant parm was delicious, even with the dollops of ricotta cheese on top. Chicken dish was a bit dry, but perfect sauce. Big restaurant, but excellent service and a nice setting. We'll be back to try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
The food is amazing! The servings are the perfect portion and the service is impeccable.

Yelp
Came here yesterday night for dinner and had Jordan as our server. Jordan was so attentive and made the experience so amazing for my boyfriend and I--extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you Jordan! My boyfriend and I ordered the Garlic Knots and Italian Nachos for appetizer. The Garlic Knots were perfect, soft, fluffy and with the right amount of seasoning on them. The Italian nachos were lightly fried wontons topped with banana peppers, olives, Italian sausage, and Asiago cheese. I loved how light the chips were, I definitely wished there would be more cheese and toppings to it (majority of the time I felt like I was just eating wontons chips vs all the toppings that should be on it), overall still a interesting and nice twist to traditional nachos. For entree my boyfriend got the Short Rib Rigatoni, which had slowed braised beef, roasted garlic, and mascarpone. Very good dish, pasta was cooked perfectly, nice creamy sauce. (I have to say, the short rib was a nice touch, but would have preferred it to be Italian sausage versus the short rib in this dish, the slow braised beef just didn't blend well with the flavors of the pasta sauce). I ordered the Lobster & Crab Ravioli, perfect dish. The ravioli had the right amount of filling, and the brandy cream sauce was was on point. For dessert we went with our favorite, creme brûlée. The creme brûlée was right amount of vanilla flavoring, custard had the perfect density to it.

Yelp
WIne is fairly priced. Service is EXTRAORDINARY. Food is above average, with a lot of choices, all excellent. Decor is above average: qualifies as a date restaurant. Go there. Enjoy.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Risotto is a pile of rice. Calamari Is bland, sea bass is over cooked. Carbonara is ok. Not the best. Best part is the jazz. Avoid

Rachel L.

Yelp
not sure why this place doesn't have higher reviews since so many different people recommended it to me. this is going to be my new go to italian place! the mussels appetizer is to die for, the sauce is so delicious. every single thing our table ordered was so good - jumbo scallops, mussels, short rib rigatoni, bruschetta, italian salad. I will absolutely come back here the restaurant being in a cute area with shops where you can walk around and hang out is also a plus.. love the area!

Yelp
This restaurant deserved the "Best of Loudoun" designation as one of the county's best restaurants. Ambience is classy without being ostentatious. The food is the best. Tastes of the best family eateries of Boston's North End or New York's Little Italy! The chicken parm is crispy coated yet fork tender, bathed in a supreme Pomodoro sauce that is rich with tomato flavor. (Pomodoro sauce is completely smooth but thicker in nature than marinara because it cooks down over time.) In addition to that I tried the tomato bisque which was thick, creamy and rice with fresh tomato and basil flavor. They do offer a smaller lunch menu including mix and match of half sandwich, soup, Ceasar salad and other items. And frankly. I prefer going for lunch whether to enjoy their lunch or dinner menu. It is much less crowded and enjoyable. It is easily one of my top 10 "highly recommended" 5 star establishments.

Yelp
Not from the area but figured we would try this place out. Experience went okay until the check came. I don't know what is up with the management but they have some serious attitude and don't apologize to their customers. I ordered the lunch combo (sandwich and soup $13) where the menu does say it's an up charge for steak and cheese which is fine. I specifically asked our server if I could get the crab bisque soup with my steak and cheese as part of the lunch combo and she said yes. There was no mention of an up charge for the soup on the menu or from the server. Check comes out, I bring up the extra charge with the soup on the check and she goes to consult with the manager. Why am I hearing their whole conversation where the manager is speaking extremely loudly explaining why the soup is extra and in a very condescending tone? At the end he says to the server "if you're scared, I can go tell them," and then chuckles. Not very smart to speak like this in front of your customers, they knew I was in hearing distance. So right then, a lady who seems to be another manger comes up and asks who was asking about the soup. I tell her it was me and she proceeds to say "well it's crab soup, crab is expensive so of course it'll be an up charge." And I told her that the server did not tell me this and that I specifically asked the server if I can get the crab soup with the combo and she said yes. Smartass lady says "well of course you CAN get it, it's just extra." At this point it wasn't even about the money, it was the lack of courtesy for your customer and their tone/rudeness. I don't even blame the server anymore, it was truly management who should know how to handle the situation better. There was no apology from her and as a business, it's smart to take accountability for mistakes in favor of the customer. Discarding the up charge (literally just $3) because it was never mentioned seems like an easy thing to do for your customer, but these people decided to be rude and stingy. Ruined my experience here and to be honest, my day. Don't come if you don't want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth.

Yelp
We went Thursday 4/18 knowing we were going to order the Chilean Sea Bass . We first ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna . Tuna was not good , in fact it didn't make the top 10 of places with good to great tuna . Then the chilean sea bass came out . Weird texture but good taste . The fish should be flakey ,these were far from it . The only saving grace was the rissoto . We might come back if in the area but will not make a special trip like this visit and definitely will not order a fish meal .

Yelp
I am a frequent customer of Travinia. I am usually not disappointed when coming. My last visit I had the spaghetti with Bolognese... waiter asked if I would like a meatball or two to add. I went ahead and got Four. Again not disappointed. Delicious sauce, pasta and meatballs. I will probably go with 1-2 meatballs next time as it was more than I expected - but very delish. Our drinks stayed filled and our waiter was polite and continued to check on us throughout the meal. Highly recommend this place for dinner.

Rob H.

Yelp
Love their spaghetti bolognese and service is always good. I visit at least once weekly when I'm in town.

Yelp
Really upset to hear that this restaurant treated my niece and her fellow homecoming friends very badly. They made a reservation like any regular guest. They arrived on time for their reservation and they paid "money" just like a regular guest. Why would the service be sub par? Why would their server treat these teens so rudely? While she bussed the table and one of the teens was not finished, this server actually said "why don't you just lick the plate?" What kind of management staff allow their servers to treat paying guests this way? Prom season is coming up and Loudoun County has lots of affluent families who trust that their children will be treated with respect like any other guest. Food has been consistent when my family visits. That's the reason why we chose this restaurant for a homecoming meal. Obviously we made a mistake.

Yelp
Very nice, lowkey birthday dinner with family. We were going to go to an Italian restaurant in D.C. but it wasn't worth the hassle dealing with parking, etc midweek. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Gris and a few cocktails, which were presented well for such a family restaurant. The wine was amazing and we finished it even though we didn't think we would. The service was good but not overly attentive. I was fine with it because I didn't want a lot of fuss. For a Wednesday, it was fairly busy with large parties. I opted for the chef's special linguine carbonara in the cheese wheel but I added shrimp. It was very good and filled me up. My family members all liked their dishes but one said the salmon lacked flavor. We also got the creme brûlée and lemon ricotta cheesecake for dessert. They were good but not amazing. I look forward to returning and trying other dishes and cocktails.

Gigi W.

Yelp
Excellent service, best location, friendly staff Primo! Not too loud so you can talk to friends instead of shouting at them

Rome T.

Yelp
This is the only Italian restaurant I can truly recommend after 11 years in northern Virginia. Try the carbonara, try the fettuccini, try the appetizers but most importantly, try the chocolate cake. This cake is the most unexpected thing. I'm talking Dave Portnoy giving a 9.8. Can I get some fried mozzarella on a non-special night? Look at my review!

Yelp
In the area and unsure where to eat so we happened upon Travinia. Saw the 'voted best in Loudoun' sign which gave us high hopes. Restaurant has a nice vibe. Live music trio playing in the entry was enjoyable. Lots of empty tables yet we were quoted 10-15 minute wait which turned into 25. Our party of 3 was sandwiched in between other tables even though there were open tables all over the restaurant. Our server was nice and a bit slow. Seemed like she was fairly new to the service industry but we're patient people. Ordered garlic knots as an appetizer. We were a little surprised when 4 knots showed up for $6. Little pricey for the amount you get. Ordered flatbread and sausage and peppers rustica. Food was slow to come out. Pasta dishes were quite hearty... could have used a bit more flavor but still enjoyable. Flatbread (Cousin Jimmy's Favorite) was ok. Presentation was average.. reminded my son of school lunch pizza. It tasted fine.. nothing super special. Server told us at 8:20 they were out of tea. Never had that happen before. Ordered dessert.. tiramisu and apple crostata. Tiramisu was ok. The apple crostata was SO DELICIOUS!! By far the best part of the meal. We felt like this place had so much potential. If we're in the area again we would probably give it another shot and see if our experience changes.

Yelp
Loveddd my little lunch date by myself on their patio! I got the chicken Alfredo, sweet tea, and their complimentary bread. Everything was delicious. The pasta was creamy and not oily. The staff were kind and had perfect timing. I enjoyed a Monday (holiday) lunch at 12:30 pm I'll have to go during a more popular time for dinner and order something more complex next time. From my experience so far, I'd recommend it! There's parking available in front of and tons of garages. The prices were affordable the pasta was only $13

Jon S.

Yelp
Always go here but tonight was off. People in bar loud and acting like fools and manager sitting with them doing the same. Food was not hot and overcooked. They need to get there shit together.

Robert M.

Yelp
Always great service and delicious food! Bob the manager provided outstanding guidance for my wife's bday dinner for 18 people!

Charlotte B.

Yelp
I love Travinia! Mussels and meatballs and zucchini fritters on the starter menu are my absolute favs!! Staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Gets crowded and noisy. So get there early

Yelp
What a delightful evening!!! Had gone years ago with previous owner/mgmt. and hated everything--poor service, bland/stale/unimpressive food & menu, rude/bored staff, and uninspired mgmt. A friend inspired us to try again under new ownership, staff & mgmt and what a wonderful & complete metamorphosis! The menu is traditional Italian with a few Nuevo twists! The hostess (Taylor) SOOOO sweet, kind, and sincere, mgr. checked in on us! Kristine (server) is beyond excellent & helpful!!! Had roasted beet/pear salad with a scrumptious dressing, bread service, lobster ravioli (to die for!), and salted caramel cheesecake with a perfect cappuccino to finish. Yummm!!! Definitely 5 star service for a very reasonable price.

Leinani S.

Yelp
Came for a Friday birthday lunch. The restaurant is bright and nicely decorated with comfortable seating options including booths and tables to accommodate small or large groups. Our server was friendly and helpful with suggestions and customizations for our special dietary needs (one KETO and one lactose intolerant). Food came out quickly and was very tasty. Protein portions were a little small for the price. We had gristle in one piece of chicken. Accompanying pasta was overdone (slimy) for one of our party. That's why they only got four stars. They have an extensive wine and cocktail menu although we didn't try any since it was lunch. Solid interpretations of classic American-Italian dishes.

Mario R.

Yelp
There were not many people around 3 PM on a Saturday when we arrived; however, food and service are excellent in this place! We ordered: mussels, Margaretha flat bread, Sinatra Chicken (too sweet for my taste, delicious for my girlfriend), veal piccata, and Tiramisu. All well prepared and delicious Tiramisu was almost as good as the one at Italy (maybe a little less sugar, and more alcohol) I highly recommend this place and will come back

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here early one weekday evening, and were seated without a reservation. Attractive space. Not too noisy because the bar area is separated from the dining room by a wall, and tables are nicely spaced. We had five dishes between us (one app, one salad, two entrees, one dessert) and four of the five were winners. Spaghetti bolognese was our favorite. Found the spinach salad to be way too sweet - although there's nothing in the menu description to suggest that the dressing would be sweet at all. Michael C. was our server. Friendly and attentive without hovering.

Hope S.

Yelp
Travinia catered my son's wedding last weekend....do NOT hesitate to have them do the same for you. Both the cocktail hour appetizers, and the plated dinner they provided were top notch - EVERYone raved about the food! The owner, Bob, was hands-on from day one....from planning to execution. His staff the day of the wedding were also top-notch. Helpful, professional...and very personable. We couldn't have been more pleased. I happen to work for a catering company out of state, so I know what I'm talking about here......again, do not hesitate to hire Travinia!!

Caroline B.

Yelp
We used to come here quite often years ago, but after having a couple of poor experiences, we stopped going. We just went again yesterday to give it another shot, but it was disappointing again. We ordered an appetizer that came out after the main dishes were served, they brought us a wrong dish and we had to wait a wvery long to get the correct one. The veal saltimbocca came drenched in so much oil, it was literally swimming in it. The worst was the risotto, it was dry and undercooked and without any flavor. They explained it was their version of risotto, but that is nothing like a risotto. Risotto is supposed to be creamy and rich. This was anything but. We are not planning on going back.

Dr Foodie G.

Yelp
I order from Travinia regularly. The Bolognese is delicious. I strongly recommend them for lunch and dinner. The food generally well prepared and takeout still serves healthy portions.

Shaina J.

Yelp
Delicious food, great customer service. Glad we came here and will definitely be back again! Took my dad here for his birthday because he was craving Italian food. The photos and options of food sounded like a must try. Thank you for the great experience.

Michael S.

Yelp
Dropped in for an early dinner with the wife. Beautiful decor, bar. Very friendly server named Robin. She gets 5 stars for service, wine knowledge and generally being very attentive. First with the Pros: service and ambiance, as mentioned above, terrific. Also 4 stars for the prosciutto and fig flat bread - went well with our wine! Now the Cons: I posted photos of the food. Looks good, right? Since this was our first time we went for basic Italian - ciappino and pasta bolognese, though I was persuaded to add meatballs to the pasta as well (why not, right?). Verdict? Bland, and a lack of substance. No doctoring could help the ciappino. How could it look so good and lack so much? Worse was the pasta bolognese. Tasted like someone opened a can of diced tomatoes and sprinkled some ground beef and big chunks of carrots into it. (Carrots?) Guess they thought I'd mistake the carrots for meat. Basically pasta in watery soup - it had not simmered AT ALL. At least the $4 meatballs gave me something to eat - pretty much left all of the pasta. So did the wife with her ciappino. The bread wasn't much to talk about either. How about upgrading to some hard crusted ITALIAN bread? Overall a disappointment. I'll keep the place in my hip pocket as a nice place for drinks and an appetizer, but if they failed at the basics, where do they go with the complicated stuff?

Ashita S.

Yelp
Very poor communication from the hosts for seating and lack of kindness when we asked a menu. The food was subpar and very greasy pasta with lots of cheese. Not the greatest quality.

Cari G.

Yelp
We walked next-door to this place, as a previous reservation at a next door restaurant did not work out. The hostess was professional and friendly and she was able to seat us promptly. We ordered our food and everything came out perfectly on time, and was absolutely delicious. Our server, Sophia, was delightful and professional, attended to drink refills, checked in with us to make sure everything was good. She is one of the best servers we've had in a long time. It was a wonderful way to spend our 17th anniversary. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

S H.

Yelp
First time visit and have mixed reviews. Hostess staff were semi friendly, but when we were well past the 30 minute wait time they had told us, I went back up to check our name and it was marked off already. They didn't believe me that this was my name and I said well it's been me for my entire life. They couldn't explain what happened and became flustered, but then seated us immediately. Wait staff was very good and food was excellent. Bathrooms were a hot mess and there was no soap in any of the dispensers.

Ivy U.

Yelp
I was on my way to have dinner next door, but decided to stop in here instead. The family style setting, open kitchen, and very appealing food seen through the windows was all I needed to change my mind. I had the Short Rib Rigatoni was everything. It was perfect because I had been craving short ribs all week. Our waiter literally looked like Captain America too lol. My coworker and I both enjoyed our wine selections. Dinner was perfect in a nutshell. And we didn't have to wait for a table, despite it appearing to be quite busy inside! Win!

Anne G.

Yelp
Just ordered from Travinia after some time. Less than great meals there over the last couple of years. Fantastic Pasta Nonna! It is not the restaurant but the cook! Delicious plate of food. Cook should be commended and kept!

Rob C.

Yelp
Wow, extremely impressed! Had dinner with my teenage daughter and somewhat picky parents...all of us loved this place! We had the Jumbo Seared Scallops with risotto appetizer which everyone thought was great. The short rib rigatoni was excellent and my daughter loved her chicken piccata (and the two bites I had were really good). My parents had the chicken scaloppine and shrimp messina and they both really enjoyed their meals and had enough leftover take some home. Finished the meal with one piece of cheesecake to share. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were, everything feels overpriced lately but not this place. The service was great as well. We will be return for dinner sometime in the near future. I highly recommend Travinia.

Andy A.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed a great night out. The zucchini frittes appetizer was awesome, as usual, and the short rib rigatoni and veal saltimbucca were flavorful and prepared nicely. Our evening started with a minor hiccup when we arrived and our reservation took almost 20 minutes to be sat. Our waiter, Brad, was attentive and had a great personality that allowed the evening to recover perfectly. Support this local restaurant.

Harriet H.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant. My husband loves the short ribs and rigatoni.

Robert S.

Yelp
This place sucks it's like wonder bread for Italian food I asked the waitress if she had light beer and she said she doesn't know how to weigh it, so she called over help and that one said we have some you can see through who waste their money on this kind of shit

Megan M.

Yelp
We had our rehearsal dinner here for our wedding. This was the smoothest part of our whole weekend! Bob was helpful from the get-go. There were beverages waiting for us when we got there, everything was set up, everything came out hot if it was supposed to be hot and chilled if it was supposed to be chilled. Service was great (thank you Brad and Nina!) and we loved it all. Thank you everyone! We can't wait to be back!

Tara M.

Yelp
- do not get this!!! It's poisonous(not actually)and does not taste good at all!!! Save your money and your taste buds$$$ but the bread is bussin and the mussels

William A.

Yelp
Good Food, nice ambiance, great location, good service. Appetizers are delicious. Entrees even better.

Ariel O.

Yelp
**3.5 stars** We were going to go to ChefScape but they were closed (apparently they are closed on Tuesdays), so we walked around to find another restaurant to eat dinner while we were in Leesburg. We looked at the menu outside the restaurant and quickly glanced at Yelp to decide on Travinia. The reason why I'm giving this restaurant 3(.5) stars is because of the atrocious service, not necessarily the food, though I was a bit underwhelmed. We walked in at approx. 8:15pm and were seated. There were a couple people at the bar and 3 other tables occupied. The ambiance was good - as my husband said, "a cruise ship Italian restaurant" (not a bad thing). We were greeted by our waiter, who promptly told us that the kitchen was closing in 15-20 minutes so we had to choose quickly because the "kitchen guys will start to clean up." We were caught off guard because we checked the hours - on Yelp and Google, it said that they closed at 10, and that we had plenty of time. I ordered a homemade lemonade and the spaghetti bolognese (that I added meatballs to) and my husband ordered the wild mushroom ravioli. I was asked how many meatballs I wanted and he recommended 2 when I asked. We got our drinks and the lemonade tasted kind of like Simply Lemonade. We waited for quite some time for our food, despite having to order quickly. I thought we were going to get bread since there was olive oil on the table, but we didn't. I thought maybe they didn't do that but I think they do according to what I heard (see below). What was concerning was the following: -hostess not at the stand and not telling the kitchen was closing soon (we would have not sat down if they didn't want us to dine there) -hurrying to order, yet our food taking a little over 30 minutes to get to us -kitchen staff already cleaning everything up (floor mats, ovens, etc.) while we were just seated -manager giving cash tips out in front of guests and saying people can leave, while there were other tables not done eating -manager/server bringing a pick-up order in the kitchen and yelling "Who wants ________" and workers calling dibs on the food (restaurant wasn't even closed yet and guests shouldn't be seeing this behavior) -kitchen staff giving out pasta, salad, etc. and making "piles" for employees to take home, while we waited for food for a while -employees vacuuming, sanitizing, etc. around our table, making us feel inconvenient and uncomfortable -kitchen staff yelling, "WHO WANTS BREAD?" to other staff (this is how I figured out they probably have bread, but we didn't get any) Onto the FOOD. My bolognese was good, but the meatballs were definitely made ahead of time and just "grilled" because they had a crispy bottom that was a little burnt. I had to add pepper to it as well. I asked for cheese on top and my waiter took a while because they had started packing away items in the kitchen. I've had better spaghetti and meatballs, but I've also had much worse. I got the rest in a box to go and it tasted the same warmed up, which I don't know if that's good or bad. My husband said the mushroom ravioli was very good and the pasta tasted fresh. Our waiter was very kind and attentive -- he was NOT part of the reason I gave this restaurant 3(.5) stars. He tried his best and even asked us if we wanted dessert (though we doubted the kitchen would honor it). We went next door to The Conche to get some chocolates instead and he chased us down because we forgot our card! Overall, I'm not sure it's worth going again. Maybe we will try an earlier dinner or a lunch, but it was a tiny bit spendy for most of the staff to treat us like we inconvenienced them. I just left with a bitter taste in my mouth. My husband wasn't as annoyed as I was though so we might come back.

Yelp
This was much better experience than my last visit. Party of four and everything was pretty good. The calamari was cooked and breaded perfectly and the garlic rolls were delicious. Caesar salad was a nice portion and perfectly dressed. The short rib rigatoni was 10/10 as usual. I opted for the linguine carbonara plated tableside in a parmesan wheel. It was good (7/10) but I would not pay extra for the tableside presentation in the future. We had a great dining experience this time and the food and service were solid.

Yelp
Ambiance-9/10 The restaurant itself is very well engineered from a aesthetic point of view. It has an appropriate modern ambience that you would expect from a Leesburg based venue and it is one of the few places I have been recently that had a live jazz musician, which was an unexpected treat for a Tuesday evening. The lighting was dim enough to create the feeling of an intimate gathering but also bright enough where you could still see each other and navigate the restaurant without issue. Table spacing was also appropriate giving parties adequate separation and privacy so as not to disturb each other. Very well executed indeed Service 7/10 The hostess was friendly, attentive and acknowledged my entrance which was not lost on me. I had a seat at the bar near the band so I could watch the happenings within the whole area. The bartender seemed to take quite a while to notice I had arrived however once he did he was extremely friendly and was quick to get my order in. Throughout the rest of the evening he did a good job and I enjoyed talking with him. The only issue I had with service is really only a personal preference specific to me which was when I ordered my second glass of wine the bar tender poured the end of 1 bottle, and then opened a new bottle to finish my pour. I didn't like that I had two different bottles of wine in one glass, but again, personal preference. Wine list - 8/10 I loved the Oberon Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, very good wine relative to its price. The wine list is reasonably priced as a whole considering it's diversity. This wine list should be able to accommodate all pallets for a restaurant at this price point. Well done Food Presentation/Taste - 5/10 (To be fair, this is an Italian restaurant and both dishes I ordered were not traditional, rustic Italian dishes. Would likely have been better to stick with a classic pasta dish, but I digress) I ordered a steak with broccoli and garlic butter prepared medium. When the server brought me my food I couldn't help but notice that they did not wait for me to check the center of my steak to ensure it was cooked properly, and unfortunately, it was not. The inside was blue and I immediately sent it back. I will say however, the presentation on the plate itself seemed well thought out, and was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Immediately after I sent the steak back, the restaurant owner himself came over and apologized to me directly, and it was clear that he cared deeply about my dining experience which also did not go unnoticed. He offered to cook me a brand new steak to specification, however I requested the pan roasted chicken with brussels sprouts and broccoli with garlic butter instead. He said, "no problem whatsoever I'll get that right out to you, and again you have my sincerest apology." And I believe he was being sincere, it was clear he was actually concerned. When the chicken came out I was surprised to find that it was actually a whole half of a chicken, bones and all. This presentation was not good if I'm being honest and I did not enjoy spending half of the meal dissecting and carving around the bones of my meal. Also, I had some issues with the seasoning of the chicken itself. There was a lot of fresh rosemary still on top of the chicken that I had to remove prior to eating, and the taste of the chicken itself was bland and not at all what I expected when I ordered it. The broccoli also didn't seem to have any garlic butter on it which was also disappointing. The owner again checked on me a few more times throughout the meal, and to avoid being a difficult customer, I said everything was fine and finished my meal and left. The restaurant is beautiful, and this is absolutely the type of place I would bring a lady to, however I certainly would order a pasta-based dish in the event that I did. Overall, even with the food mishaps, I enjoyed being there. The sincerity of the owner is enough for me to give them another chance, and I will soon.

Yelp
I'd give it zero stars if I could... never been treated so rudely by "management" in my life... Also don't order fish if you want your meal out to you in less than 35 min... I was told ordering fish is what held up our soup and salads, when several other tables (sat after us) had their meals entirely... I'm not upset with the waiter to be clear, but I think some better communication is key... we told him we were kind of in a hurry, but nothing came in a hurry... ordered lunch specials, no drinks and one appetizer... got the appetizer after 20 min waiting so I knew this wasn't going well... we had been in the restaurant over 45 min with water and bruschetta... I wasn't as upset until I was talked to like a child by the manager... never one apology given... I suggest you don't argue with your guests next time because you lost our business... the hostess was so sweet, maybe she should be promoted... lesson learned to not tell a wait staff we are in a hurry that was our fault I suppose , however if you can't accommodate that you should let the customer know

Yelp
Ordered thru doordash. First time trying this restaurant. Ordered calamari app and pollo Isabella to split with friend...Huge portions of both. Calamari is small pieces, alot of the tentacles, not a lot of chewy calamari though...Chicken dish reminded me of macaroni grill's chicken Milano which was my jam..I needed to add a little salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and Parm to Jazz it up. Definitely recommend. Was good and looking forward to trying other options next time.

Yelp
Was invited by my friend Jen here for HHR a couple weeks ago but the covid kept me away---glad I gave it a second chance. So, this Friday, July 24, we bravely checked in early and we got a corner table in the outdoor seating well socially distanced and because it was early it was not yet crowded. We were greeted warmly and the outdoor umbrellas were being set for it was a warm day. For a start we ordered the Michelle Brut for moi and the Riondo Sparkling Rosé for hubby and both were perfect and refreshing for the weather. We then ordered the Calamari, Caesar, Mussels and Scallops. First, the calamari was very surprisingly not your typical commercial rings; instead it included the tentacles which was fresh and sweet! Second, the mussels were perfectly doused with a creamy but not buttery sweet sauce of which quality reminisced of those in higher end restaurant. This was my favorite and that flavorful french bread was memorable and I wanted more! Thirdly, the caesar for which I measure every Italian restaurant made the grade, respectable B, only because it was missing anchovies, hello? And finally, the scallops were perfectly well seared; every bite reminded me of the ocean for its sweet saltiness, it was near perfection and definitely my top pick! In sum, the food we had was excellent! We also ordered a CA Cab Sav which was light to medium bodied Red even in the heat refreshed us. Kodus that the bar kept their glasses chilled so it was smart even if the Red was served room temp! Our server was adequately pleasant and two managers checked in on us to see how we were doing---that's a plus! Overall a solid 4 stars I would definitely come back and work through the rest of the small plates, i.e., crab cakes, lobster ravioli, etc. And then the main entrees also look promising! I would have given 5 stars if you can add anchovies in your caesar and offer additional bread on your mussels (for my next visit for sure) and keeping your warm welcome! Oh and most importantly, this place observed requirements for safe and social distancing and I felt reassured that even under the current circumstance of the pandemic that it was okay to dine out and support our restaurant community. Thank you for your thoughtful observance of social distancing and mask wearing which mitigate health risks; thus, I highly recommend your restaurant. Simply put, we will be coming back! Until then!

Yelp
I think Travinia is better suited for happy hour. It's okay Italian-American food but it's nowhere near authentic Italian food (TRUST GIRL, I've been to Italy and yes the food changed my life). Anyway, I went here for dinner. We got the mussels, crab cake, and Italian nachos (FREE if you check-in on Yelp). The mussels were in a broth that was way too salty! They were fine otherwise. The crab cake was quite delicious, but I was kinda disappointed in the texture. It fell apart really easily and didn't have the "cake" texture that crab cakes should have. It was well seasoned though and I enjoyed the side orzo that came with it. The Italian nachos were free so I enjoyed that, but I wouldn't order them if they weren't free. There wasn't enough flavor, besides the overwhelmingly salty cheese. Personally, I ordered the short rib pasta. I thought it needed more roasted garlic, because it claimed there was garlic on the menu but I didn't taste any. Also, the meat was quite chewy and not the greatest texture to chew on. Finally, the sauce was too heavy on the mascarpone cream and needed more tomato sauce to balance it out. My brother got the lasagna and said it was "fine" but he's not a foodie so I can't go more in depth on that.
