The Fillmore Minneapolis Announces Opening By Taking a Swipe at Iconic Rock Club | Eater Twin Cities

"I noted that food media were excluded from the Fillmore preview, so there’s little firsthand reporting on Trax Burgers & Bar by the Westin; the restaurant’s website touts “Great Happy Hours” and “innovative cocktails,” and the only concrete menu tease is the baffling “Free Range Burrata Chicken Meatball Toast,” which raises as many questions as it promises novelty." - Joy Summers

Google
Had a great experience here. The cheese curds and bacon candy appetizers were delicious. BLT Wedge Salad minus blue cheese, add ranch was delicious. French fries were also so good. OMG Oreo - deep fried oreos were so good.

Google
Good food, good drinks, fair prices. They had room for 18 of us. Our waitress was also the bartender, and she did a great job of taking orders and brining our drinks. The food was tasty and well presented. As you can see we ate a variety of items. The churos were great! Only draw back is that there is only one bathroom. So at times, there was a line. We ate inside but their is a patio overlooking the street.

Google
I really enjoyed the food here besides a couple things. I had the drunk chicken sandwich which was slightly overcooked and in my opinion a little too sweet which I wasn’t expecting. The cajun fries were also on the sweet side.

Google
Fun spot!! The wings were good. I’d maybe try hot honey next time!! Chicken tenders were great!! BBQ chips were fine…wish they were hot and fresh! They have special shelters brewed by Modist Brewing that are quite amazing.

Google
Apologies for the pics of half eaten food. Food was a bit pricy, but worth it overall. We had calamari, cauliflower, truffle parm fries, and i had a saddle up burger. Calamari was delish, but a lot of tentacle pieces (i dig those, but my fiance does not), cauliflower was good but could have been crispier, fries were a bit on the soggy side, burger and chips were the stars. Love the bbq seasoning on the homemade chips. The chips were a bit stale. Burger was delicious. Service was okay. Id like to try this place when it isnt slammed to see if the service and food is a bit better. Not bad though. Would visit again for a burg.

Food was fantastic! Came out very quickly. Service was excellent, friendly and polite, very pleasant to meet and talk with. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, definitely worth a pit stop!

Google
We just had appetizers before a concert. Loved the vibe and the giant pretzels with honey mustard and beer cheese were delish! All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked so good! Our server was busy but super kind and on point. Thanks Dominick! Definately recommend if you're in the neighbourhood.

Gabriel P.

Google
Loved it, we arrived early to the concert and decided to stop here for a bite, we were unaware that you needed a reservation to dine here, luckily the server was able to accommodate and give us a seat at the bar, great service and atmosphere overall. I'll definitely go back to try the rest of the burgers on their menu.

Yelp
I've never had anything at Trax that hasn't blown me away. Ever since I first came here a few years ago and tried the churro ice cream sandwich ($10) for the first time, it's been one of my favorite desserts in the cities. Today, I tried the Saddle Up burger ($16) and it was so good I could cry. The patty was perfectly seasoned, the candied bacon was inctedible, and the aged cheddar actually tasted strongly of cheddar in a way I don't find often on burgers! I thought about shelling out a couple dollars to upgrade to fries for my side, and I'm so glad I didn't--those house made bbq chips that come with the burger are incredible, I could've eaten pounds of them. Deliciously seasoned and perfect texture, even after sitting in a takeout container in my car for half an hour! I also had the BLT Wedge Salad ($14), which I liked a lot too--the addition of pickled onion and toasted pepita really separated it from most wedge salads I've tried before. They don't skimp on the dressing either--I'm glad I got it to go so I could choose how much dressing to put on! The gem lettuce traveled great and was not at all soggy by the time I got home, and all of the flavors were great. It did come in a little saltier than I'm used to in wedge salads, but it worked really well for me as an enjoyer of salty things! Since it wasn't a show night at the Fillmore, it was a pretty chill and quiet vibe for Thursday night trivia. Tai, who was serving the whole floor tonight, was amazing and offered great recommendations for food too! Even if you're not going to a show at the Fillmore, you should totally go out of your way to get a burger at Trax.

Yelp
We stopped at around 430 on a Friday before a Twins game. There was no one there hahaha not complaining! It's a very cute place, lots of good seating. The sign out front for $3 beers enticed us hahaha. My table all really enjoyed their food! I was told their tenders and chicken sandwich were the "best they've had". I had the Cesear Salad. The dressing was good but it was overall too salty. Friendly and quick staff. They offered 2 local beers for the $3 pregame deal. Would recommend!!

Yelp
I just stopped in for a quick bite before my concert at Fillmore the other night, but I will definitely come back for a full meal. They have a good selection of beer on tap. The Cajun fries were incredible, and the bartender was perfect--attentive, friendly, promptly got me the check because I was in a rush. I really want to try their burgers! Can't wait for my next show at this venue.

Yelp
I ate here about 3 years ago and was impressed. I was in the area with my dog with me decided to stop by. The hostess was nice enough to pull a lower table so that I could sit comfortably with my pup (great customer service). I ordered the Saddle Up burger with the house made BBQ chips. The burger was phenomenal! The flavors messed together perfectly without overpowering each other. I could really taste the quality of the meat. I could've dealt without the bbq chips, they were nothing to rave about. I'll def be back!
google avatar

Vita B.

Yelp
The burgers were good, chicken sandwich was solid . The bbq chips were not that good . Place is clean . Service is decent . Atmosphere is cute . Great place for burger if you going to Fillmore theater after. Might want to pay extra for fries because chips are not good at all.

Yelp
Some friends and I made a reservation here for dinner on a Thursday night (trivia night!) and had a great time! It is super easy to get to - right off the light rail and plenty of parking nearby (street parking and a ramp). In the warmer weather the parking probably gets more difficult on nights when the twins are playing. It was a lot less crowded than some other bars I've gone to for trivia night which was so nice! You could actually hear the MC ask the trivia questions! The game was run through trivia mafia and you could submit answers as a team on your phones. Service here was also super speedy and friendly! Our water glasses were full the entire night and all our food came out piping hot. On to the food - it was all absolutely delicious! I ordered the Saddle Up burger with a side of truffle Parmesan fries (an upgrade). The burger was juicy and flavorful, everything you hope for with a smash burger. And the FRIES! Pay the extra $5, they're 100% worth it. Perfectly crunchy and seasoned with a delish aioli and parm on top. Portions are large too. I ordered the sour, $10 so it's a bit pricier for drinks here (cocktails were $16-17) but it worked well with the burger. Overall, I will definitely be back here for another dinner + trivia night!

Yelp
Food was awesome, ambiance was fun, but where they stood out for my group was service. They had some of the best ADA access and accommodations we've had for a restaurant. The staff was kind and accommodating and even helped us engage with the venues ADA services.

Chelsie D.

Yelp
Every time I go to a concert at the filmore I stop in and grab food the truffle fries are fantastic and the severs are very friendly

Yelp
Okay I'm gonna five star this spot because the flavors were just perfect! I will caveat it with the fact that I do not like the buns they use for the burgers (they fall apart and are too soft IMO) but bc everything else was fantastic, it didn't bug me that much :P We kicked off the meal with the bacon candy and soft pretzel. The soft pretzel was exactly what you would want, but the bacon candy was the real star! Slow braised Nueske's bacon, sweet & salty glaze, pickled red onion, red chile flakes... pretty sure someone was going to lick the plate it was so good! Burger-wise we tried the Trax Burger, the Wagyu Marrow and the Gobbler. The Trax burger was their version of the double smash cheeseburger that is pretty trendy and popular! The IPA mustard aioli and the bacon ketchup added a really nice kick that you don't often get! However this is where the bun really disappointed! But it was real tasty! The Wagyu Burger was SO good. It's one of those burgers you just want to keep eating and never stop eating. Wagyu brisket & ribeye blend, Gruyère cheese, pickled red onion, triple cheese mornay, bone marrow Nueske's bacon onion jam, truffle aioli - it almost seems like too much but it works. Delish! The Gobbler looked good bc we are suckers for Turkey burgers. This did not disappoint - Ground turkey, triple cream brie cheese, Nueske's bacon jam, Bing cherry aioli, apple & fennel slaw, mustard vinaigrette. I mean, how could it not be good?! We also got truffle parm fries (not pictured) and they were crispy yet chewy. Plus the house cut bbq chips were on point! We also got a smattering of drinks that I loved but managed to only get a picture of the Nordic Salutation: Don Julio blanco tequila, blueberry, lime, basil, sugar, salt. It wasn't too sweet, which to me is the mark of a good tequila drink, and it wasn't too tequila forward. In other words I could drink it all night! Overall we had an awesome experience (buns aside) and would def be back to try some boozy shakes and more burgers! Or maybe we'll just get the exact same ones because they were so tasty!

Yelp
Stopped by Trx before the concerts at Target Field. For a burger-centric joint, the atmosphere is very trendy. First off, the service was great. Both the bartender that greeted us and our server couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. News flash: great service makes the whole experience great. Second, the food was of the same standard. I had the Trax burger (their standard cheeseburger) and thought it comparable to a "good" Whopper. My wife had the caeasar and fries and enjoyed both. Would stop in again when we're in the neighborhood or before something at Target Field.

Yelp
Service and staff are on top of their jobs here and the ambiance is very pretty for a burger bar. You'll be greeted the minute you sit down by multiple staff. We snagged a spot at the bar before a concert and were served immediately with water and menus. Just beers were ordered as we were trying to keep it a tame night but their craft cocktails look delicious and fun! I got the waygu burger which is $18 but $18 of deliciousness. It is garlic and cheese and mushrooms and creamy goodness on an egg bun. I don't regret ordering it and highly recommend if you just want to splurge and get the best burger on the menu - do it! My boyfriend got the Trax burger and it was just as flavorful, juicy, and made to perfection. All burgers are served with their homemade chips which are actually really good but we decided to get an order of truffle fries as well. They came with a garlic aioli that definitely completes the side, only $5 and totally worth it. For dessert we had the churro ice cream sandwich. Talk about being a sugary kid again! It tasted like a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch! It comes with a chocolate sauce to drizzle over it and it definitely "puts the icing on the cake". We devoured it and I would 100% order this again. Prices are a little steep which make me want to bring this down to 4 stars but it's beautiful and the food is good + it's connected to the Fillmore concert venue in the North Loop which means they can get away with it.

Yelp
I have surprisingly never heard of this place but my bf found it on Yelp when searching for a good burger one day. We came here on a gloomy Saturday at 3pm and we were the only people there.. I thought ok either it's a weird time in the day to eat lunch or this place sucks. Turns out this place doesn't suck. This Wagyu Marrow Burger ranks top 5 burgers I have ever had. The cauliflower was also delicious. It's breaded and has mild Indian flavors to it. Boyfriend approved!

Yelp
Good food, even better service. Was right next to our hotel and right between hotel and Twins field.

Yelp
Opening night! This place has some fun cocktails on the menu worth giviing a try! They are inside the newly opened filmore! They have cocktails and burgers as their main features but they do have soups/salads/ appetizers and meat filled entrees. They have garage doors to open to the patio in the summertime. You can hear bits of the concert from the dining space and they have low and high top seating. I enjoyed the experience and would recommend before a show.

Yelp
The place looked great ! Cool vibe ! The food was good quality buy all sweet everything had a sugar sweet aspect drinks were very sweet also . I dint like sweets in my meat lol

Yelp
I tried Trax for a birthday get together. Unfortunately we went on a night that they were having some music event. The place was horribly crowded, super loud and service was really slow. Luckily I made reservations otherwise we would have never gotten a table, although I do wish they would have given us a warning that an event was going on. As for the food, we started with a milkshake and Mac n cheese bites. Milkshakes were great and the Mac N Cheese bites were crispy and delicious and served with a good sauce. We tried several burgers. The burger itself was cooked perfectly and juicy. The buns were amazing and perfectly sized as to not have too much breading. The topping were delicious too. I did not like the presentation of the food being served on a wooden cutting board and it seemed a bit unsanitary. The portions were good and I loved the homemade chips. I would go back, but it's not necessarily at the top of my list.

Yelp
Food: We came here after seeing it advertised around town as a new restaurant in The Fillmore. We started with Mac + Cheese Crunch which is three deep fried balls of Mac + Cheese in a tangy tomato sauce. These reminded me of deep fried raviolis (which I love) and were extremely tasty. The Scotch Egg was super filling! You wouldn't think one egg could go so far. The egg was more soft boiled than hard boiled which I didn't love, but this is more of an egg preference thing. Despite that, the egg was very yummy. I had the Steel Head for dinner which came with Brussels. I ordered all sauces on the side which I would recommend because then you can try all your bites in different sauce mixtures! Honestly, though, the fish was so tender and delicious that it didn't even need the sauces! My boyfriend got the Wagyu Marrow burger. It was chalk full of tons of flavor. It's definitely a boujee burger with more of an "artisanal jam and carmelized onions" vibe, so if you're looking for more of a classic, I'd try the Trax Burger. Lastly, we topped off our two weeks worth of calories with the Churro Ice Cream sandwich. My boyfriend ate 75% of it in 5 minutes. It's that good. The ice cream tastes like the milk in the bowl after Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I would definitely save room for dessert! Venue: It's literally attached to The Fillmore and you're going in the same entrance, but once inside, they're very separate experiences. It's very loud inside so be prepared to speak up! The tables are quite close together, New York style, so be prepared for some coziness. This doesn't impact the experience at all, though! I imagine this place will be great in the summertime with the garage doors open.

Yelp
Came here on opening night! I arrived 20 minutes earlier before my friend who made the reservation but they wouldn't seat me until the whole party arrived, so it was a bit awkward to just stand there that long. The restaraunt overall is very modern and located right next to The Fillmore - so a great place to grab a bite & cocktails before going to a show. Our server was amazing, she was very helpful and gave great recommendations. The cocktail menu is great, however a little pricey (my drink was more than my meal). I had the Nordic Salutation, which is a tequlia blueberry cocktail and it was delicious! For food I ordered the Drunk Chicken sandwhich and oh my was it HUGE & messy. It was really good, but be prepared to get your hands dirty - it also comes with a side of their house chips. The truffle & parm fries were tasty as well!

Yelp
Trax Burgers and Bar is a new restaurant connected to The Fillmore in Minneapolis. We stopped in for Restaurant Week on Sunday where they offered great lunch specials. Read more to see what we thought. Drunk Chicken Crispy fried chicken breast, bourbon butter, coleslaw, bread & butter pickles, Buffalo aioli While there are several toppings to give this sandwich flavor, my suggestion would be to actually season the chicken itself. When the chicken is tried alone it is tasteless. I was not a major fan of the aioli and took off the half of the bun that had it on there. The chicken was cooked to perfection and very juicy. Trax Burger Brisket & short rib blend double patty, American cheese, little gem lettuce, tomato, red onion, IPA mustard aioli, Nueske's bacon ketchup, bread & butter pickles This was also a juicy sandwich that lacked flavor. We were once again not fans of the aioli. Crazy! We really like aiolis. Mac 'N Cheese Crunch Fried mac 'n cheese, triple cheese mornay, San Marzanoragu, green onion, Parmesan cheese I didn't like this at first. The outside seemed overcooked and the macaroni inside lacked flavor. It slightly grew on me the more I ate it. I know this is a new restaurant. I am hoping that as time goes on they improve. A little seasoning while cooking goes a long way. Also, give us the option to upgrade to fries instead of potato chips. You guessed it. Those were also lacking flavor. Trax is in a beautiful space that will be even better once the weather warms up. I am sure they will start getting busy as more events happen at The Fillmore. I am curious to know how their desserts are. I would go back and try them.

Yelp
We ate here before a concert at the Fillmore and it was a very good choice. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly and took good care of us, despite being busy with the pre-show rush. We got Moscow Mules and Roy Rodgers while we waited for our food and they were well made drinks. For our dinner, we shared the chicken meatballs, truffle Parmesan fries, and the wagu burger. All were delicious and left us satisfied with our meals! We particularly liked the meatballs and fries (these come separate since the meatballs were an appetizer). We asked for them to nix the handmade bbq chips that came with the burger because we weren't interested and they were understanding and accommodating. The burger itself had a delicious truffle aioli on it and, with being cooked rare, it was very good. We both agreed that if we hadn't known it was wagu, though, we probably wouldn't have figured it out and would've only thought it was a very tasty, juicy burger. That's not to say that it wasn't a beautifully crafted burger, though. With us being in from out of state, this was a great place to eat before going to our concert and the convenience of it being attached to the venue couldn't be beaten out with somewhere closer to Target Stadium. If we were to go to the Fillmore again, I'd definitely want to eat here again.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! I'm already convincing 3 of my friends to go back with me! My boyfriend and I ordered the ghost wings, wagyu marrow burger, drunken chicken sandwich, an order of Cajun fries and an order of Parmesan truffle fries, and the all grown up milkshake. The wagyu burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had! The wings weren't that great. One of the drums were really large and weren't cooked all the way through- gross! The fries were nice and crispy and were served with yummy aioli sauces!
google avatar

Yelp
Meh. That's what this place is. Just... meh. From the Old Fashioned to the chicken sandwich and truffle fries I ate, everything was...meh. Boring. Overcooked. Greasy. Nothing was worth eating. Nothing. We were both disappointed. Service was good. Can't blame them for mediocre food. Don't go here. Walk a few blocks to Cowboy Jacks or Darby's.

Yelp
First time here. Place was a great environment, staff was so friendly and very attentive. Food was good. I would definitely come again!

Mackenzie3 H.

Yelp
Food was amazing! A beautiful presentation on everything! Will definitely be going back! The vibe is great! Had the meatballs as well, but ate them to fast to get a photo!
google avatar

Shannon V.

Yelp
The atmosphere is nice but I was not impressed with their food. I ordered the Gobbler and Mac and Cheese bites. The gobbler had too many extra flavors that did not pair well. The mac and cheese bits were overcooked and lacked taste.

Yelp
Came on a Friday night, it was very busy so I recommend making reservations. The drinks were very good the metro is super cool and comes with a bubble filled with smoke on top - it taste very much like cucumber, in my option a little too much but if you like cucumber you will love this drink. The Nordic salutation was very good it's made with tequila, our waitress recommended it & said it was very popular. It definitely met my standards. For appetizers we had the Mac N cheese crunch, it was ok - Mac and cheese was a bit bland. We also had the truffle fried which were very tasty and a good affordable appetizer. I had The saddle burger which I highly recommend and I got it pink - BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD. My girlfriend had The Wagyu Burger which was also very tasty. The churro ice cream sandwich was definitely the best part of our meal, if you come here this is a must have!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I got invited to visit Trax for their soft opening on 1.31.20. We were speechless by the presentation and taste of all the food and cocktails. We first ordered the cocktails our wonderful bartender, Thai, suggested and were not disappointed. (The metro and the Nordic Salutation). She created our dining experience for us and was so sweet and genuine! For food, we started out with the ghost pepper wings. They are pretty spicy but somehow we still made them disappear. We enjoyed the Ribeye Steak that was cooked to perfection by the chefs. We also enjoyed the Mac & Cheese which is a "side" item but it could totally be a meal. I also ordered the Wagyu Burger which was delicious! We finished with the fried Oreos which we shared with our neighbors at the bar because it was so plentiful. Definitely will return! A plus from the service to the drinks to the food!

Chris H.

Yelp
Trax is a great addition to the neighborhood! The food is amazing! For appetizers, the chicken meatballs and calamari are a must. The BLT wedge salad taste great and the presentation is on point. For dinner, the burgers are all great! The Trax burger is one of the best, in my opinion. Also, the chicken sandwich is the best in the metro area. The fat washed bourbon is a great drink and the boozy batch Shake was delicious July 11, 2020 They've reopened and they're doing an awesome job during Covid-19. Everything is spaced out well and Covid procedures are on point and much appreciated. Great to have you back open again! The food and drinks were amazing as is your patio and open air indoor dining! Top notch!

Jack R.

Yelp
Food (burger and chicken sandwich) was OK, standard bar food. Bartenders were friendly and service was good. Lower rating as we felt ripped off due to the price of drinks ($19 martini and $12 IPA).
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Had some amazing food at this place for their soft opening. First off the Brussels sprouts are to die for!!!!!! Followed that up with some free range chicken meatballs and the OG Mac and cheese. We finished everything off with a churro sandwich (ask for a spoon, trust me you will need it). The atmosphere was pretty relaxed and they have an app where you can request whatever song you want to play which is pretty sweet. The location is perfect as well and this place will be a great location to chill after a baseball game. Highly recommend checking this place out!!!!

Yelp
We had a reservation. Slow to no service. We finally left. Weird experience and feel bad for the owner's. I know it's hard to get decent help.

Yelp
Did bar seating for dinner on a Friday night. Just the right amount of people despite being a concert night. They have a simple 2 page menu: one side is drinks, the other is the food. You can choose from beers, wine, and cocktails. The beer is a bit overpriced ($8-11). They offer appetizers, burgers, salads, soups, sides, and shakes (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I decided to go for "The Wagyu Marrow" burger and it did not disappoint. Very juicy, savory, and flavorful. I'd definitely order it again. For the non-adventurous, they also have a regular burger. On concert nights you do hear the bass from the venue hall but you do phase it out. It must have been due to sitting by the bar which shares a wall with the Fillmore

Hannah E.

Yelp
Went to this place for a birthday dinner. We were a group of 10 and had Sarah as our waitress. We were the only table in the restaurant on a Sunday night. We will start with the couple positive things about our experience - GREAT condiments/dipping sauces, as well as really yummy apps. The cauliflower was to die for!! Mac and cheese was always SO GOOD. Now for the negative - our waitress was extremely slow. Was on her phone at the bar multiple different times. She also had one Airpod in (not sure if this was the entire time, but for sure towards the end of our meal). Food took forever to come out of the kitchen. When our apps did come out, you would expect the waitress to take your main entrée order. But our waitress didn't come over to do that until 10min after we had finished our apps. When she did wander over, she came unprepared with no pen pad to write down our main entrees. We had also set our dirty app dishes on the edge of the table for her to take, yet she walked away from the table empty handed. I then went and put the empty dishes on the bar and cleared it myself. Our main meals took forever to come out. Drinks sat empty for way longer than they should have. Burgers were very crisp on the bottom (almost burnt in some cases). Our group was also so excited to try the boozy milkshakes that appeared online - Welp, only to be told they no longer make those. UDPATE ONLINE MENU PLEASE! Overall, some food was great - others wasn't. Waitress was horrible. Will not be back. Very disappointed, especially after reading all the other great reviews.

Yelp
Went to Trax on their soft opening, Saturday before they officially opened and I was blown away! Customer service was amazing and our waitress knew a lot about the menu and offered great suggestions. We tried the calamari, the truffle fries, chili, macaroni and cheese and deep fried Oreos. Everything was amazing and had a unique flavor profile so I didn't feel like I was eating something basic. Deep fried Oreos are OUTSTANDING, they give you a lot but trust me they are just as delicious left over so bring the leftovers home!
google avatar

Yelp
Trax is just fantastic! From the ambiance to the service to the food and drinks.. all top notch. I came here with friends right after they reopened a couple weeks ago, and couldn't be happier. My husband and I ordered the calamari, truffle fries, chicken sandwich, and burger and it was all so delicious with great presentation. Drinks were on point and flowing too :) The space was great, very open and light, with indoor/outdoor options. The staff was wonderful! Big kudos to Matthew, the GM, for running such a great operation and being so friendly to us! Go to Trax NOW!

Yelp
Solid new burger spot! Ya boy loves burgers so had to try it as soon as I found out about it. Setting is nice, modern looking. We started off with the ghost wings which were legit; not super spicy like the name suggests but definitely had a nice kick to them and well seasoned. Also got the Mac n cheese crunch which is basically fried Mac and cheese balls. Delicious. Hella heavy, but delicious. I got the wagyu marrow burger; this was cooked well and overall very good burger. The bun takes a bit getting used to, its hella big and fluffy. It's not thicc, moreso soft and can crumble. I liked it but others did not. I tried a bite of the drunk chicken and yo that was fire. Finally, we tried both desserts: churro ice cream sandwich and omg Oreos. Both are bomb and probably my fav things we had. The Oreos are double stuf Oreos deep fried, and you get 8 of them joints. In conclusion, it's a solid place with good food and great dessert. I still think red cow is a better burger, but I would still go back here

Julia S.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant with high hopes as our friends had great things to say. I thought the burger was pretty good, but not the best burger that I've had in the cities.

Yelp
What a disappointment. First of all parking is a hot mess with all the construction going on around the restaurant. The space looks really nice. As I walked in and eyed peoples' food I thought for sure I had hit the burger jackpot. Sadly that wasn't the case. Our group ordered the scotch egg, Caesar salad, truffle fries, & Trax burgers. Scotch egg was served on top of field greens with mustard smeared underneath them (?). Horseradish would've been more appropriate. The sausage overpowered the egg so much that I couldn't tell it was even in there. The Caesar salad had anchovies placed on top of each of the 2 romaine hearts. Interesting & unique presentation but just a bit awkward seeing dead fish sitting on top of the salad. Truffle fries were ok for $5. Can't complain. Waitress did not ask how I like my burger--I thought of it after she had left. Sure enough the burger was more than well done. Dry as can be. I removed the top bun because it was kind of gritty almost stale. Comes with lettuce tomato and mustard without having to pay extra so there's that. Presentation was nice--it was presented on a wood cutting board with house made chips, but the burger was flavorless. The chips were thick cut, flavored with BBQ seasoning, & were a decent sized portion. That was a nice touch. Lots of work people from downtown packed the place during lunch. If they don't up their food game, I'm not sure how this place will survive outside of Twins games and concerts at the Fillmore next door.

Yelp
Awesome burgers! Try the wagyu and save room for the Mac n cheese balls. Christian was best bartender ever!! Thanks for modernizing the Old Fashions! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Trav was a very cool atmosphere to eat at! My waiter was very good and gave me lots of information on the food and drinks he was very good at refilling our drinks and attending to us. The food was very well presented and tasted good as well! It was decently portioned as well . The drinks were a little spendy but that was to be expected. Over all I was very pleased with my visit there.

Yelp
Super fun, delicious food, great service, and the space is amazing! Ask for Ramii for an awesome experience! The location is perfect for a night out on the town or before a show. Go hungry because you will not be disappointed with the portions, and save room for dessert!

Yelp
Made reservations. Reservations confirmed. Drove 45 mins. They were closed. Food, drinks, vibe and service sucked nutz. Boooooo....

Yelp
Had confirmed dinner reservations for tonight... show up and there's a sign on the door saying they're closed this week. At least notify confirmed reservations that you're canceling them, showing up for dinner to a closed restaurant on a Friday night is a bummer with little options for backup plans.

Yelp
Overall a good experience. Attended at 9:15p on a Tuesday. The good: - The food all tasted great - Service was quick and friendly (we were 2 of 6 in the place). - Atmosphere is great, well done to match the venue vibes. - Open late The Bad: - It's pricey... $15 cocktails & $10 beers - You can't upgrade your sides from chips to fries, have to order additionally. I give a 4 due to food being great and atmosphere is wonderful. Knock the star due to price and process. Might be back before a show or if I'm in N Loop after 9p

Yelp
Really good! I got the Saddle Up burger, and it came with, candied bacon and onion rings made out of shallots. My only issue is that my burger was pretty under cooked for my usual liking, and in general. I felt like it was more so on the medium rare side vs the normal medium pink burgers usually defaulted to. Pretty affordable prices given the location and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend, and I'll be back!

Yelp
Excellent showing for a newcomer to the North Loop. A varied beer selection, which includes more than just the typical Twin Cities line-up of IPA's. The Mac 'n Cheese Crunch was a delicious, if unconventional, appetizer. The burgers were of a high quality and had numerous options to make each one stand out. The decor was appealing. Subdued, but with a charm all of its own, without feeling kitschy. Has a mild railroad theme, which compliments its location adjacent to the terminus of the Metro Blue & Green Line light rail. Definitely will be coming back again.

Yelp
Live in the neighborhood, stop by last night for the first time to try them burgers... great atmosphere and will fit well with the area, especially when spring comes and the twins starts the season with that open garage doors . One thing I would say tho is their beer pricing, man that was some high prices , $11 for lonely blonde , the local beer that brew right next door. I find that absurdly expensive. I know it's next to the concert venue with high price liquor, but won't you want to be cheaper so then you'll get more sale ? .. just my opinion throwing out there .
