"Very much that neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name, this long-standing classic sits on the cusp of Wedgewood-Houston and Chestnut Hill communities. Mark your calendars for June 26th, when Mayor Cooper will join numerous performers in commemorating Nashville’s beloved late Bianca Paige by dubbing the intersection where Trax sits as Bianca Paige Way." - Melissa Corbin, Eater Staff

SerpAPI
Trax is by far my favorite bar. It’s not pretentious like some of the others. Super stiff drinks, amazing happy hour, huge outdoor deck/patio with tons of plants. Entire staff is friendly and personable. Awesome owner. Pool table, darts. I don’t really care to spend my money/time anywhere else.

I loved my Christmas 2022 week in Nashville and spent some quality time in Trax enjoying the food, basic bar food, drink and the company of some sweet, sweet men. A very grounded, inexpensive place where I had the best time meeting some nice guys. If you’re looking for a friendly, welcoming place in Nashville … visit Trax Bar.

I went here because it popped up on Google. I will never regret it. The bar was busy but not crazy. The music was bangin. The staff, I can't say enough! I was greeted by this hairy queen Reed, who welcomed me and introduced me to the other bartenders & made me a perfect drink. He left the bar to show me around. He is stellar! I will be back & soon. Tell Reed I'm coming to see him & the bar! This place rocks 🤘

i just want to give a solid shout out to the bartender who initiates fights! not only did he initiate a fight, but he encouraged it! encouraged a man to HIT A WOMAN! i’ve heard only bad things about this place, but after checking it out myself. DISGUSTED. i hope this place gets shut down & PLEASE let the skinny white male bartender atleast get fired.

SerpAPI
It's a small cozy place with a very friendly bar staff. Bartender is very engaging. It's my favorite bar to go too.

Cory and justin and everyone who sang their hearts out and the vibe of the best bachelor party experience we love each and every one of you from Damarcus Dalton and Gregory 😋 and Stacy and Jeff and Lee and the queens running the show

Flew into town for Sarah Brightman’s concert at the Ryman and unintentionally came here on the bear 🐻 club’s long John Toys for Tots Christmas party! It was such a friendly, unpretentious, fun place! After 2 for 1 happy hour, mingled with some handsome bears on the back patio and met some most gracious ladies who knew how to party 🎊 Then it became quite a festive crowd! Terrific music & definitely the best bar of the entire trip. This pic was taken when I returned to my Broadway hotel though I don’t remember taking it. 🥳

I ordered 4 drinks and all my drinks has many bugs in it. And then I talked to the manager about my song and he said no no no no that's mean he didn't respect my request. I don't recommend to go to this bar.

Yelp
Gay bar meets local meets dive bar...that is the best way I can describe TRAX...and I am not mad at it! I have driven by TRAX many of times on my way home from work and just never stopped in, but finally made the pitstop when some friends were recently in town. TRAX gives off local vibes before it gives off any other vibes, and I appreciate this as it gives off the vibe of comfort and being welcome. We popped in on a quiet week night, so outside of the drinks flowing, there was not much more going on. We grabbed a table inside to knock back our first few, then ventured outside to the great covered patio space to finish out our evening! Staff and patrons alike were friendly and welcoming. Parking can be a bit of a mess, especially with the construction going on nearby, but they do have a small gravel lot and then you can park on the street as well. I will say that TRAX is a bit worn and could use a nice refresh/update, but you could also say it adds to the "aesthetic" of the local-ness TRAX offers. Overall, glad to have TRAX for a safe and welcoming space for all!

Yelp
Absolute the Best GLBT Bar in Nashville Friendly Staff, Great Owner Very open to everyone.

Maurice W.

Yelp
There's a first and a last time for everything. Not sure if I arrived too early or if this was just the vibe. Parking is also a mess. Lots of construction also in the area. Meh at best

Yelp
Great dive bar, staff is welcoming and friendly, outdoor area is great when the weather cooperates. Been there many times and never had any issues with anyone. Very relaxed and laid back and the prices are good. Best gay bar in Nashville. Parking sucks, everything is growing around the place but well worth the trip.

Yelp
Great neighborhood gay bar. Staff / bartenders are fun and friendly. Beautiful patio out back with lots of plants - I hidden gem in nashville.

Ben L.

Yelp
Very cute country gay bar that was welcoming and fun! Drinks were strong and cheap and the host was nice in drawing us in. The power went out but we kept having a good time! Highly recommend

Dain F.

Yelp
A down home gay dive bar where everyone from all walks of life and sexual orientations are welcomed with open arms and strong drinks! It truly is a locals joint in every sense!

Lailaa W.

Yelp
So, I have been in Nashville for 16 years and really gay a lot of that time and I never knew this existed. I have driven past this a million times and didnt notice but I met up with a friend from out of town and definitely enjoyed my visit. The patio is cute with lots of plants and the music was good. Although this space is likely a better place for the guys to meet than women. It was still cute and fun. Also, the drink prices were great and there was a happy hour the day I went with buy 1 get 1. The staff was very nice and quick despite fueling a full bar and constant incoming patrons.

Hoang N.

Yelp
Such a shitty place. I'd never come back here again. The bartenders are trash, and they're so rude.

Peter D.

Yelp
I've been to gay bars all over the country... this bar was honestly a big disappointment. My friends and I had looked up reviews of TRAX before hand and thought that we would have a good time... not so much. It started as soon as we walked in... We went to sit down and then wanted to check out the patio... we ended up getting chased by one of the bar tenders asking for our Ids.... Shouldn't you have a bouncer at the door for that???! The patio is ok... but in the middle of the summer it was horrible and we didn't stay... we order our drinks and that's when things continued to go down hill from there. The drinks we were served were horrible. I ordered a rum and coke... what I got was an entire glass filled with rum and a splash of coke.... not exactly what I wanted... All of our drinks were like this... we decided to leave... and we are not coming back... completely horrible experience!

Yelp
This will be a short, succinct review. This is the last bar that allows smoking inside. The staff and patrons are SUPER NICE, but if smoke bothers you, avoid at all costs. If you're cool with it, definitely visit.

Susan A.

Yelp
First visit, but certainly won't be the last! Great show, wonderful drinks, just all around had fun. Wish I'd had a chance to chat with more people, the staff seemed like they'd be a blast to talk too.

Crystal K.

Yelp
I'm a member of the LGBT community and always look for a good, positive atmosphere to have a good time and interact. I've never seen such hatred and negativity in the LGBTQ community. Very unfriendly people within the establishment. If you see any one cockeyed or missing teeth by the pool table, keep it moving baby, they're judgy. The bartender was wonderful, but overall I would not recommend this place, go to lipstick lounge. Do yourself the favor

Joee F.

Yelp
A local place with great bartenders and friendly crowd. When I moved to Nashville I immediately felt welcomed :) great drink prices! It's one of my favorite go to spots. Open up at noon every day which is fun when you work a weird schedule etc.

Dawn B.

Yelp
Nice fellas there. Forgot my purse and kind bartender held it behind the bar safely for me!!! Cheers

Sue C.

Yelp
Don't let the rainbow flag scare you, this place is literally one of the most welcoming and fun bars I've ever been to! Not sure why the negative reviews as we had no issues whatsoever, but I digress. My husband and I were headed to Red White & Zoo at the Nashville Zoo and didn't want to go too early (as it was so hot), and we stumbled upon Trax. We instantly realized it was a gay bar (not that we cared), but there were seriously hot, barely dressed men on one television screen (hello lover). But there was not one patron or bartender, who by the way had never laid eyes on us before, that wasn't sweet as candy and very helpful. We had drinks in hand within 5-minutes of sitting and locals chatting us up just as quickly. Strong drinks poured freehand and not measured! One gentleman even thanked us for being so open and non-uptight! Aww! We just thought it was a fun spot and couldn't care less about the clientele. My only complaint is the smoking, as we don't smoke. BUT again, people were respectful and tried blowing their smoke in the other direction (and most people don't care enough to do that). So back to the beginning of this review I go...don't let the rainbow flag scare you and stop in. I bet Halloween parties are extra here, just sayin...

David M.

Yelp
I'm not going to go into details. But to have ice thrown at me WHILE going to the bathroom from a bartender is not cool. I got an apology after the fact, but didn't matter. Don't act like you can buy a drink later and make everything kosher. Have been here dozens of times and recommended this place. Never again.

Michael G.

Yelp
This place is a nightmare. There is a lame crowd, bar is full of smoke, it is in the middle of nowhere, the music is bad, and it is just lame. There is a decent outside area so if the weather is nice it may make sense to come here, but otherwise do not come here.

David M.

Yelp
Thanks to the owner, manager staff and the guy from conductors for being flexible in the celebrations of my friends birthday. You all went above and beyond.

Bob H.

Yelp
Sunday night karaoke at TRAX in Nashville? No! Sunday night entertainment? Maybe. We stopped by this neighborhood gay bar to celebrate my birthday. The KJ, CJ by name, I was told, was a sour-faced older man who spent most of the night hunched over his cell phone rather than paying attention to his singers who numbered only 4 while we were there. Other than announcing the singer's name, and an occasional unenthusiastic "Awesome, awesome," we heard nothing from CJ. Karaoke is about singing, but we were treated to a harmonica interlude, a lengthy middle-eastern dance and music video after about two rotations of the 4 singers, and a very long series of line-dances...followed by more karaoke singing, then more line-dance music but no dancers. Go anyplace else for your Sunday night karaoke singing. To be fair, I'll come back some Thursday night to see if CJ was just having a bad night, or if he's just an incompetent KJ.

Robert M.

Yelp
This place is the local spot to just relax have fun and drink with strangers who by the end of the night are your friends. The bartenders are slightly heavy on the pour but I'm not complaining. They are genuinely awesome people and treated me well while I was out there for work. If you have a chance, stop by on Mondays and play Drag Bingo. The Emcee is just adorable. She know how to entertain the crowd, and her outfits are pretty hot. Oh How I miss that place.

Yelp
Went here at 1p on my way to airport. Jay or JJ was the bartender. Very friendly and welcoming. A few regulars were at the bar and over 2 hours, others came and went. Was happy to see people of color were welcome given the TN governors racist actions (honoring the grand wizard of the KKK!). I tried their lime chicken wings--quite tasty and 6 for $5. I also had 3 sodas and a cabernet. Total was only $9! I can't get over these prices. Even had 2 for 1 well drinks, but I didn't partake. I was hoping I could spend time at the Nashville baths but there is no such thing. Next time I'll come back at night and check out their back patio as well.

Yelp
This is definitely a bar that has two purposes: Drink to get buzzed is one, and the other....use your imagination. Went down here on a Friday night and the first (and only) issue I had was parking. The lot is really tiny in the front, but what I didn't know until later was if you turn left from the bar they have a larger parking lot. This is also where the "grove" is. Again, use your imagination. The bar itself is not as small as it appears, and the people there definitely have that "Cheers" appeal. The drinks are cheap and strong, and so are some of the people but that's another review for another day. They have a back patio area where you can go and smoke or...again, use your imagination. All I'll say is play safely with the natives. Fun times....I'll be back.

Eric G.

Yelp
Fun bar.... depending on what you're looking for. Note to self ... ALWAYS PAY CASH..... they seem to have an issue with overcharging and "losing" credit cards. Still a good time

Chipper A.

Yelp
Definitely my new favorite bar. Met some really hot guys there, especially the bartenders. There are a couple little fun nooks and crannies too.

Britney W.

Yelp
Great bartenders and drink specials. It is a small place but has a great patio out back to hang out at when the weather permits. Smoking is allowed indoors, so non smokers be forewarned. You will reek of smoke after leaving. Ventilation isn't great for it. However if you go on a Lovekock Variety Show night (second Sunday of each month at 9pm-midnight), you will see one hell of a drag show. From kings to divas and queens, that show has it all. Also drink specials are always held on those nights. The parking lot out back in Carney is kind of sketch looking but I have never had any problems. Waze and Google maps hate it though, just like with Cafe Coco. They get confused for whatever reason when you leave. Cops do like to hang out nearby so hang out until you are sober. You won't regret it.

Yelp
A friend an I came in here to check out a local gay bar located near our airbnb on our last night in Nashville. Midway into the night we were asked about missing cash. We didn't really think anything of it at the time. We were having a good time and drinking our beers. Later on into the night we had a very scary experience of the locals confronting us about a missing $200, to the point where we both emptied our pocket and showed the $7 we collectively had and turned our pockets inside out just so that we then could leave in peace (with the addition of a vaguely worded threat). It was a horrible end to an otherwise nice vacation.

Greg H.

Yelp
I use to go years ago was a great place Tho the years have passed I miss all the friend I made there Love you Kimmie

Mike C.

Yelp
Fun bar and good guys. Hope to have some younger guys there next time. Happy Hour is amazing.

Afkham N.

Yelp
Hole in the wall but enjoyable and friendly crowd with staff to match. Drink specials are pretty good, and thuer happy hour is like $5 for two drinks. Pretty awesome. $10, four drinks and u need a cab home!

Michael C.

Yelp
Definitely a wrinkle bar, but since I'm part of that crowd I fit right in. A little smokey, but that was okay at the time because I was smoking like a chimney. If I were a nonsmoker, it would be an issue because when I got home I smelled like an ashtray. The bartender is a hoot in a holler! And the drinks are good and cheap. There's a really nice outdoor area under the trees. A fun place for a good time.

Amanda P.

Yelp
Best bar in town that not only is a great time with affordable drink prices but is also really active in caring for the community!

Kyle H.

Yelp
Very cool bar and I love the bar owner. He isn't snoopy as you would think. He is down to earth and will have just as much fun. It's family oriented there and I love that.
