A quaint Italian trattoria with amazing food, great drink specials, fair prices, and above all, friendly staff. Ashley and Debora were outstanding, friendly servers/bartenders. We went back the next day for Mimosa brunch and it's the best $40 you can spend in nyc

Google
cute restaurant! came here with a friend for sunday brunch, and we were not disappointed!! we both got the champagne brunch, consisting of a main and bottomless champagne cocktail. we came the day after a snowstorm and it was empty inside. regardless, it was a homey atmosphere giving the subtle vibe of summers on the mediterranean the staff were also so kind and amiable. they were attentive and kept our glasses full haha. i definitely recommend coming here for a meal!

I contacted Tre to schedule a large reservation for 17 people, some with dairy -free and gluten-free dietary restrictions, and they were wonderfully accommodating. The food was truly excellent, as it was during my initial, previous visit. I would recommend the quality to anyone - every bite was delicious. Our waitress was extremely kind, attentive, and capable of handling a party of our size. Definitely a great location to consider for groups of large sizes that are price conscious and looking for amazing food!

We loved everything about TRE! We chatted with one of the owners our first time there. Everyone was so friendly! Food was great! We had drinks there our last evening in NYC. So special!!

Was encouraged by the bar staff to get the Taste & Toast and upgraded the entree…a waste of money and mediocre food. :( The chicken Milanese was reminiscent of overcooked McD’s nuggets but with double the salt. A very bright spot was the tiramisu. One of the bar staff (long hair/pony tail) was super nice. I really wanted it to be good because we were celebrating my daughter’s college graduation.

Incredible food and the best service. We come to NYC twice a year and this restaurant is always on our list. Fried artichokes - amazing! And the best part if the incredible and personable service. We can't stop going back! Exactly what you want for an evening out.

Google
Such a shame for a restaurant with amazing food. I felt that the waitress doesn't cater to black people when I arrived. I didn't feel welcomed by her. I will have a picture of her. I came here specifically because I looked online and saw they had a toast and bubbles special on Thursdays. I was super excited to try it but was disappointed by how the waitress treated me because of my skin color. I came alone only 20 minutes after they opened and it was very empty. The waitress sat me in the back. I asked to change my seat because there was no one there and she told me she couldn't cause there were tons of reservations. Another waitress had to assure her it was okay to change my table. I did the toast and bubbles and ordered a side of fries in which was not free I told her I was willing to pay full price only $12 I heard her whispering to the other waitress can we do that. I was very confused because I didn't ask her for a favor the fries cost $12 in addition to the special and I told her I was willing to pay for it cause I can afford the extra money so I could not understand why she asked that question. Overall food very good but I will not return if she still works there as she is racist. I left within 1 hour and it was not busy as it was claiming to be. She didn't even have the decency to give me the check she asked another woman who was not white to give it to me and collect it from me while she stood around doing nothing. To the owner fire her because black people have money too and if this is how she acts as a store manager at a jewelry store I would not want her to work for me!

At last we’ve arrived in New York and it was time to indulge our tastebuds. We stumbled around the “burbs” for half an hour until our yearning for Italian took over. We landed on #treitaliano - a quaint Italian restaurant with the most lovely ambience. We were greeted by the delightful Aly who is an asset to this establishment. She’s customer focussed, knows the menu well and preempted our next order. Her recommendation of the home made gnocchi was was spot on. Her colleague Debora was also delightful and another asset to this restaurant. The meals were a good portion size filled with a depth of flavour that stayed on the palette for some time. We skipped dessert but it was tempting. Time permitting, we will return. Notes: kid friendly but couldn’t see any high chairs. It’s New York so parking will never be great. Dietaries can be catered for is requested. The background music was set at a good level that didn’t interrupt our conversation. #newyork2024 #thewanderingreviewer #usa2024 #newyorkitalian #treitaliano #newyorkrestaurants #newyorkrestaurant #italianfoodnewyork #newyorkitalianfood #ludlowstreetnyc #trenewyork @trenewyork

Yelp
Definitely recommend! The food, service, price and the fact that they kept my glass filled; was a great experience. The portion sizes were more than enough for 2 to share and the fact that you get an appetizer, main, and dessert for $60 each with unlimited wine of your choice (for two hrs) is a great deal!! Will surly be visiting again soon ; )

Yelp
Tre is a very nice, cozy, intimate dinner or date spot for anyone! Although I loved the ambience , I do think the pasta was average, but it could've just been the pasta I got which was the fusilli alla pizzaiola. We also got the eggplant alla napoletana but also thought it was okay, nothing amazing. The service was also okay. There was only one server that actually seemed kind and willing to answer our questions if needed. If i'd recommend anything, i'd be the tiramisu as it was amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food and amazing deal! We came across a TikTok about the "Taste & Toast" Thursday deal and we had to give it a try. For $60 plus taxes and gratuity, each person gets unlimited wine, one appetizer & entree per person, and then one dessert for the table to share. We got the Caesar salad, meatballs, and calamari for our appetizers. For entrees, we went with the beef ragu, gnocchi, and truffle pasta but with gluten free penne. I'm gluten free so I was able to eat all of the appetizers but picked out the croutons and didn't eat the bread with the meatballs. They were all delicious! I love my pasta and my cousins enjoyed theirs as well. For dessert, we got the tiramisu which was tasty but the portion was small for three people. It was a nice size for two people. As for the wine, our glasses were never empty as all of the servers offered us a refills every time they saw our glasses were low. I recommend that you make a reservation as the restaurant is quite small. It's cute, unassuming spot but the food is good and the staff are friendly & attentive. I highly recommend checking Tre out on a Thursday!

Yelp
Came here on a whip and loved the whole experience! I came here with a friend for dinner and entered the cutest little spot downtown. It has a great nighttime ambiance and you kinda feel like you're in small Italian restaurant. The service was great, they were all very nice and friendly, answering any questions about the menu. And the food was delicious, along with the wine options for pairing. Would definitely recommend and I want to come here again!

Yelp
My friends and I decided to visit Tre after watching a video on Instagram promoting their "Thursday Dinner Deal: Taste & Toast," which includes 2 hours of unlimited wine, along with an appetizer, entree, and dessert. It's a very small restaurant, with fewer than 15 tables and a tiny bar area. I ordered the Eggplant alla Napoletana, which was just okay. Honestly, I enjoyed the side of garlic bread more. My friends ordered the Cacio e Pepe spaghetti, but it lacked flavor. The Pappardelle ai Funghi was slightly better, with a lot of mushrooms, but it was overly oily. It would've been much nicer with real black truffles instead of truffle oil. The tiramisu was a bit small for three people to share; we assumed we'd each get our own. The service wasn't great, as the staff were not attentive when it came to refilling our wine. The wine options were also disappointing. Keep in mind that there's an automatic 20% gratuity and an additional 3.99% operating charge, so always read the fine print. Verdict: you get what you pay for. It's not bad for $60, but the food is just mediocre. With gratuity and fees, the total came to $80. Would I come back? Probably not.

Yelp
Great service! I absolutely loved the ambiance in there. I will say if there website says booked just stop by. When I went to make reservations it said it was booked until the evening I went in there and it was empty so don't rely on that. I went around 3pm and had fast and impeccable service. The food was pretty good I loved the appetizers the most

Yelp
Tre offers a unique Italian dining experience focused on small plates inspired by Neapolitan street food. They also have a menu of appetizers, pastas, and main courses for those who prefer a more traditional meal. One of the best things about Tre is that all their pasta dishes can be made with gluten-free pasta! This is a great option for people with dietary restrictions. We started with two classic dishes: fried calamari and burrata. The calamari was perfectly crispy, and the sauce was delicious. The burrata was fresh, creamy, and paired perfectly with the grilled bread. One small thing we would have liked differently was the broccoli rabe. It would have been even better with a side of tomatoes tossed in balsamic vinegar and basil. For the main course, we tried two pastas, and both were amazing! The Pappardelle ai Funghi was our favorite. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the mushroom truffle flavor was incredible. The portions at Tre are generous! By the end of the meal, we were so full we couldn't even order dessert! The service was also great, and we're already planning our next visit to try more of their delicious pastas. what we ordered: Lavender Lemonade: $16 purple gin, lavender agave, lemon, soda Zero Proof (alcohol-free): $8 orange, lemon, ginger Fried Calamari: $18 served with garlic-chili aioli Burrata: $19 broccoli rabe and grilled bread Pappardelle ai Funghi with chicken $33 porcini, cremini & shiitake mushrooms, parmigiano, truffle oil Fusilli alla Pizzaiola: $26 pomodoro sauce with sliced skirt steak and oregano

Yelp
Happy hour was great! Able to walk in on a Friday night a grab a table for 3. The pasta was exactly what we needed and the perfect portion

Yelp
I really do love the setting of tre. It's intimately socially cute is the best way to describe it but nonetheless a nice place. The staff is very attentive the unlimited wine was good but the food wasn't the best. Food was cooked perfectly I had the skirt steak and my date had the salmon. They both pretty much lacked flavor and was heavy on the salt, as well as the appetizers. Only thing I would change is the flavor of the food but my experience was very enjoyable

Yelp
I came here yesterday with my friend and I could say this is a very cute small spot with authentic Italian food. Definitely a spot for a cute brunch or go on a date. My friend and I shared the fried calamari which was flavorful and crispy. I then ordered pappardelle ai funghi and it was AMAZING. I can tell this pasta was freshly cooked and I could taste the mushroom truffle flavor. Service was very nice and I would for sure come back. 10/10 :)

Yelp
Came here with a group of 13 for a friend's birthday brunch, and I have to say the experience and food was quite subpar. I'm always quite wary of restaurants that do bottomless, because I feel like it overlooks the food aspect. Tre had the same issue. All entrees were $18-$25 range. I ordered the veggie omlette and felt like I could have made something much better and heartier at home. Others felt that the crispy chicken sandwich was subpar as well. I tried a bite of the carbonara rigatoni, and it was delicious! Tiramisu was fantastic too. The server was kind but it took almost 1.5 hours to get our food out despite the restaurant not being too busy (minus our group). I would maybe try this spot again for their dinner menu but would not recommend it for brunch!
google avatar

Carrie B.

Yelp
Service was excellent, atmosphere is warm and inviting. Food was mildly disappointing - vegetables in the ragu sauce slightly undercooked and crunchy. They do an appealing happy hour pasta + wine deal, but perhaps not the most mind blowing Italian in New York for the price.
google avatar

Yelp
Came through with the gang for a birthday brunch for one of the homey's who had eaten here before. They had a lot of pasta dishes which looked good (two of my peoples ordered something that looked delicious but had mushrooms so no gracias) but after marathon training (flex), I'm trying to take a break from Italian carbs. I was torn between the omelette and the crispy chicken sandwich so I asked the waitress and she recommended the latter. The positives: those were some good ahh fries. You know they're good when you don't need ketchup (which I did use but again, not necessary). I also enjoyed how the sandwich included fries AND a salad. Usually it's one or the other. If I was president, I'd make sure this was more common. Not positives: the sandwich itself left a lot to be desired. It had two thin patties which is... unique... but they were on the dry side. Would've preferred a conventional single chicken patty that was juicy instead. Overall, pretty standard meal from a cozy lil spot. Quick tip: our drink menus didn't have beer listed but they had Corona and Brooklyn East IPA available.

Yelp
It was fine. Area close to many popular bars. Good service but food was average. DO NOT GET THE CARROTS.

Alex M.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, service was rude and slow--came here for a birthday brunch with friends and truly had one of the worst dining experiences of my 10 years in nyc. To top it all off, they over charged us for 2 dishes we didn't even order. How is this place in business with so many excellent restaurants to choose from ? Go elsewhere.

Ahiliya N.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday brunch and was not super in love with this place! It was great that they could seat 15 of us at a nice table in the back, and the servers were beyond kind and accommodating. I got an espresso martini to drink, and it was fine - definitely not the best I've had. After we ordered our food, it took close to an hour and a half for it to come out despite the restaurant not being absurdly busy. I ordered the rigatoni carbonara, and it was pretty good albeit heavy on the pancetta. I also tried my friend's rigatoni mushroom alfredo, which was also super tasty. Everyone who got the veggie omelet was pretty disappointed, and I could see why. It had a slice of tomato and some spinach, and that was it. I tried the chicken sandwich as well, and I liked the idea of the fried thin cutlets, but they were super dry. The banana pancakes were fine, but they were a little dry. I did like how crispy they were, though. The tiramisu at the end was FABULOUS though. Overall, the restaurant was super cute, but I don't think I will be returning.

Tori G.

Yelp
Really crammed. The unlimited wine was up to par. The spacing sucked . Felt like sardines in a can

Yelp
My friend and I were wowed by the food and experience we had at Tre, to say the least! We started with the broccoli rabe and burrata, which was so delicious. The burrata paired with the toasted bread and broccoli was the die for!! We also got the pesto and the carbonara to share, both of which were amazing. We also shared the tiramisu for dessert, and we were in such a trance from the food that we wrote a haiku about tiramisu after the whole experience. Wait staff was very friendly and service was fast! We went back a week later with a group of five and service was still speedy, and the meal was still amazing. The restaurant was fairly quiet on both the Thursday evening and Friday evening that I went, and it was the perfect place to catch up with friends I hadn't seen for a while over a delicious dinner. Thank you Tre for the amazing meals and experiences! I can't wait to visit NY again and go back to your restaurant :)
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
We walked in on a Friday evening and were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. The restaurant was pretty empty and the seating in the back was dimly lit. I thought the food was okay, but one of my friends thought their pasta was too salty.
google avatar

Ariana L.

Yelp
This Thursday night deal will have me back!! 60$ for three courses and unlimited wine- amazing! And when they say unlimited, they really mean it my glass was not empty once. The Caesar salad and bruschetta were amazing definitely go to apps. The twinkly lights and cozy vibe make this a good fun date or get together with friends that wont break the bank!!
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
the service, beverages, food & ambiance are top tier. Thank you Deborah for recommending the Arancini as an appetizer, absolutely delicious! The espresso martinis are also an excellent choice. I will most definitely be back!
google avatar

Christiane M.

Yelp
lovely vibey place, the baked gnocchi was delicious and the smoked cheese on top was chefs kiss, we got the carrots as well but those were cold which we didn't expect
google avatar

Ankita N.

Yelp
Tre was truly a surprising discovery. Located amidst bars and the buzzing night life, this place serves delicious, freshly made pasta and apps. 1. Burrata with broccoli rabe and grilled bread (so good!). Honestly I was so confused what to pick for appetizers as they all looked great! 2. Linguine Al Cacio e Pepe (the best) 3. GF penne with mushroom, parmigiana and truffle oil (you know how I feel about anything with truffle oil)

Seansolo13

Yelp
Great ambiance. Chill vibe on one of the most chaotic streets in the LES.. Order an espresso martini from Kate. She's the best!
google avatar

Steve E.

Yelp
The bartender was very nice and attentive. We stopped in for happy hour on a Sunday, and started with some wine and truffle fries. The wine was fine and truffle fries quite good. When we ordered more food, the experience went downhill. The Caesar salad was mediocre at best ($16). The chicken parmigiana and the chicken Milanese were both overcooked, tough and dry. I'm not sure about the rest of the menu, but I'd avoid the chicken dishes. Pretty high prices for subpar cuisine.
google avatar

Hitakshi S.

Yelp
Great food and service! I went here with three other people and we ordered a variety of food, drinks, and dessert. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and their staff was so friendly and attentive!
google avatar

Desirea R.

Yelp
The ambiance in here is lovely. Soft low lighting. Nice low music. Good sing along place list. Service is excellent. The owner and the waitresses are amazing. Theres one waitress I love. I think her name is Simone. The food is delicious. You can't go wrong with anything in here. Everything is great. You must try the thirsty Thursday deals. All you can drink with 3 course meal. Desserts are shared. But still worth it. It's my new spot. The owner is very involved and passionate about his business. They took some stuff off the menu and I was very disappointed. He came over to speak to me personally about it. You could see his live and enthusiasm for what he does. He could of offered something in replace of it but didn't. Nonetheless still a great spot with great service
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Super cozy spot with amazingggg food. We had the Cacio e Pepe, Cesar Salad and Arancini. So delicious, all were made to perfection. Can't wait to go back and try the other pastas!
google avatar

Wesley O.

Yelp
The food, goes without saying, is amazing. The staff was so wonderful and friendly. While I was waiting for my party to arrive, I chatted with the servers about zodiacs, small towns, and tiramisu. 10/10! The lighting is beautiful, couldn't recommend any more!
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
My friends & I came here for a good ole' brunch, to drink and catch up on life. The drinks were really good and definitely strong. Service was prompt and ensured our glasses were constantly full. The mezzi rigatoni carbonara was so so good and filling. The cream flowed through rigatoni and was elevated by the light dustings of parmigiano and spice.
google avatar

Nate L.

Yelp
Looking for a brunch spot in LES with good mimosas and good food? Look no further. Tre encompasses both, good drinks and good food. I have had my birthday brunch here for the past 2 years and am reluctant to change it. If your party is big enough, the entire indoor restaurant will be yours. If you are like me and don't like OJ in your mimosa, this place will treat you right. Not to mention it's close proximity to fun bars like Mr. Purple, Hair of the Dog, and Sour Mouse
google avatar

Lori R.

Yelp
Such a cute and low-key place for brunch! We came here on a Sunday afternoon. They have a bottomless brunch option but we decided to order food and drinks separately. I had a Bloody Mary and later an espresso martini. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. For brunch, my friend and I both got the three egg dish, and it was good, just as expected! The country bread was thick and buttery and delicious. The dish came with soooo much bacon it was delightful. The music was good and it was a great place for a small brunch. Note that the restaurant itself is pretty small so definitely be sure to make a reservation in advance to make sure you're guaranteed a spot.

Mark B.

Yelp
Food is delicious and dishes sizes are generous. Great meals. It definitely has the Italian vibe. Service was good. The waitresses were always alert and kind. Ambiance is good for a casual drink and a good meal for sure. I recommend this restaurant. Not pricey.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
What a fantastic spot to eat. I went with a friend last night and as we were walking in (during a storm nonetheless) we were greeted by all of the staff including the owner. I noticed while sitting and talking to my friend that the server had established a relationship with each table to make them feel at home, it was very nice to see them take such pride in customer service. Now for the food, we had a bunch of appetizers all of which were perfect especially the meatballs and the calamari. For dinner I had Cacio e Pepe which was incredible, it was the perfect balance of flavor. My friend had the Linguine al Limone which he said was the best he has had. All around it was a great dinner which I can't wait to experience again and I look forward to hearing all my friends tell me of their experiences after I recommend Tre as a must goto Italian spot.
google avatar

Honor G.

Yelp
Laid back gem of a spot on the Lower East Side. Not to great of a wine list but food is delicious. Nice spot to have a small private event, meetups with friends. The ricotta cheesecake wasn't the best, but good is surprisingly delicious.
google avatar

Joely T.

Yelp
Tre was a great bottomless brunch spot because of the variety of the menu options. I thought the carbonara was a 3/5 however my friends thoroughly loved their pancakes and eggs. Also the waitress did not skimp out at all on refilling our mimosas!! You may walk into bottomless brunch but sure as heck you'll be stumbling out.
google avatar

Lynn O.

Yelp
Came here last week for a drink and appetizers before heading to a show. The drinks were great. My friend loved the calamari. The bruschetta was also good. I always love fried artichokes here but this time they were a bit too crispy and oily, couldn't taste much of the artichokes. Great atmosphere and service. I will definitely return (just don't overcook the artichokes next time, please).
google avatar

Tyler D.

Yelp
We came in for brunch and were seated and able to order pretty immediately after coming in, but we didn't receive our food until nearly an hour and a half after we had ordered it! I ordered the Pancakes and my friends both had the Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The food was OK, but unfortunately I felt very sick after eating it and for the remainder of the day.
google avatar

Lin X.

Yelp
This is a small Italian spot in the middle of Lower East side. It offers bottomless brunch with one entry for $37.5 with is always a steal. Came here with a large group for a collaboration and the service was great. The bottomless mimosas here are actually very tasty! The ration of juice and proseco is great. The most popular dishes here is the carbonara. I got the piadina with prosciutto and buratta. I think the food was alright. The tortilla was not toasted enough and the amount of prosciutto was very little. However, the vibe and ambiance here is very cute and intimate. Would recommend other things on the menu though
google avatar

Jessica E.

Yelp
Does this place have the best bottomless brunch deal EVER!! ONLY $28.95 for bottomless mimosas including your entree. Cash only. I got the Tre burger and fries. Absolutely what I needed after a Saturday night hangover. The mimosas were perfect and you definitely feel a buzz. They were very attentive and ensured that it was bottomless. It is a small spot, so don't expect to come here for a party boozy brunch. Came here with my 1 girlfriend and it was perfect for catching up about our fave topic, brunch gossip.
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
While the food was absolutely delicious and appetizing. I would not be returning to the establishment during open brunch hours. I had a reservation for a birthday gathering of a group of friends- we're all a myriad of people of color from all walks of life. We were seated in a booth that was a bit tight for our party of 8 (30- 40 year olds). Out servers were great and attentive. But the atmosphere left more to be desired in terms of liveliness. But this could be because it was 12:30 pm on a Saturday in April. It's quiet, calm but not a place for ethnic vibes.
google avatar

Anthony J.

Yelp
Tre is a nice looking little restaurant with good ambience. The Malbec wine here was excellent. The Pesto entree tasted good, however it left a little to be desired as far as portion sizes. There was not even any bread or salad option served w/ the entree, which was surprising and disappointing. This is a nice and even romantic setting but prepare to pay in this part of NYC, and you might leave hungry w/ some of the small entree servings.
google avatar

Carl R.

Yelp
Nice little Italian tucked away in the LES, kind of a quiet refuge amongst the weekend chaos. You can walk right by it if you're not looking closely. Have mainly done take out, especially when there's a deal avail because they are not cheap. But the food is always good, it's ready for pickup quickly, and they have whole wheat pasta options which matters to sickos like myself.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
First NYC night dinner choice was at Tre. Who doesn't love Italian when it is done just right? What a great NYC experience for a night out - small amazing restaurant! I had the rigatoni with meatballs and there was so much I couldn't quite eat it all. The sauce was perfecto-I'll probably order the exact same thing next time! Service was wonderful too. I recommend Tre.

Paul A.

Yelp
Went last night for the first time. I live in NYC. Tre has what I think might be the best Pasta Carbonara I've ever had. It is THAT good. Other pastas ordered by our party of 4 were also delicious. Prices are fine, and the service is excellent. Friendly and reasonable wine list too. I will return when in the area.
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
Had brunch at Tre last weekend. They have a bottomless brunch option that's a little under $40 for an entree and unlimited mimosas, which is pretty good. There was some confusion about the mix and matching of brunch food/drink vs non brunch, but the staff was relatively accommodating and the waitress was patient. The carbonara was pretty good, our friend got the chicken sandwich and it looked delicious. It was surprisingly not too crowded which could be considered a bonus!

Tal L.

Yelp
Gina was very lovely, she gave us great wine recommendations and a looooooot of stories about Italy, where she's from. What's a classy lady! Ash the bartender good looking guy. 10/10 will come back!

Nicki K.

Yelp
Always consistently great food! Service is great, owner is attentive and present! I will visit multiple times in one trip to NYC!
google avatar

Ashwinee P.

Yelp
They got a new chef, and man does the downgrade show. We got the lamb meatballs, some kind of shell pasta, and a bread with tomato appetizer. Nothing was very standout; the sauces clashed, the pasta wasn't cooked properly, and the lamb meatballs weren't at the consistency you would expect. For the pricetag, it's not somewhere I'd return.
