SISTER ACT
Aside from a few peculiar omissions on their menu, this Italian restaurant on Lake St has some great things to offer.
Tre Sorelle (italian for 'three sisters') is Oak Park's newest pasta purveyor, having taken over the spot formerly occupied by Mancini's. This switchover happened sometime in late 2019, and after a few months of rotating thru OP's many options for Italian, we placed a carryout order for dinner on 4/8/20.
Their storefront is nestled between a Chinese place and a stationary store (is it a store that sells paper products, or a store that refuses to move?!?!) The pickup process was relatively speedy, and upon returning home, I saw that they'd thrown in a pint of Nutella gelato free of charge! How very thoughtful.
The calamari fritti ($12) were so-so. The tempura carrots/zucchini/potato were fine and well, but the fried squiddy O-rings were a stage past rubbery. The caprese salad ($9) with hearty beefsteak tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella was a reasonable value. My better half indicated that the gnocchi alla sorrentina ($18) were very good.
Not finding my usual choice on the menu, I opted for the linguine w/chicken in tomato basil sauce ($17). The ingredients were fresh and it re-heated decently a few days later. They have a solid amount of build options: pasta (6 choices), mix-ins (6 choices) and sauces (5 choices), ranging from $15-20. The side of meatballs (2 for $4) were tasty, and at a fair price.

At first glance, I thought I misread their menu as I couldn't for the life of me find the #1 staple -- nay, LITMUS TEST -- of any Italian restaurant worth their salt: lasagna. Nichole C mentioned the same thing, and a quick check confirms that lasagna is not available at Tre Sorelle. I wonder why?
While picking up our to-go order, I was thanked multiple times by the hostess and the chef (who poked his head out of the kitchen just to extend his gratitude). I suspect the "Three Sisters" who run this place are very kind people who genuinely appreciated our business. Well, we appreciate you guys too!
* TL;DR *
I was a patron at this place several years before the ownership changed hands, and we've enjoyed their festival portion of toasted ravioli at every Thursday Night Out. The outdoor patio is perfect for dining al fresca during warmer weather, and the quality of food is overall very solid.
I'm still a little shook that lasagna was inexplicably left off the menu (and I'd love to see veal or chicken piccata added as well). Once all this quarantine bullshizz is over, I'm looking forward to having a dine-in meal at Tre Sorelle and hopefully meeting at least 1 of the 3 titular sisters.
