"Breakfast lovers will appreciate Treats. The soft serve here includes bits of cereals like Cocoa Puffs, Fruity Pebbles, and Cap’n Crunch, and the cones are embellished with additional cereal, drizzles, and garnishes. Treats also serves bubble tea and dessert waffles." - Eater Staff, Stacy Brooks

"Treats Cereal Bar and Boba is now open with a grand opening party on Saturday. The Grand Avenue sweet shop is serving a whole slew of childhood’s favorite breakfast food crushed into ice cream and served up cold and sweet. Although there are cereal flavored treats around town, this is the first dedicated cereal serving shop. Familiar morning flavors are blended into soft serve and piled into flavored, freshly made cones. Plus, there will be boba tea, made with Autumnwood milk. Ice cream is available in the shop or by the pint to take home. The pristine space replaces a former hair salon." - Joy Summers

Yelp
Wow, this place blew me away. The cereal is ground up immediately and incorporated into the ice cream. The result? You have a perfectly crunchy texture intertwined with ice cream. Very good! Also, it's kind of cool, you order at a kiosk not at the front.

Yelp
Great place great food great employees Boba was awesome Waffles were great Fantastic owner Everyone should go here

Yelp
*this is for the mall of america location* i ordered a medium jasmine milk tea with tapioca and it was $7.20. It tasted very average so i was kind of disappointed because the pictures online made it seem a lot more high quality in taste. I would recommend getting their ice cream over their boba. They've got a matcha series as well as smoothies and other specials! Overall rating: 8/10

Atharva D.

Yelp
The aroma is incredibly sweet as soon as you walk in! There are plenty seats inside for patrons. Service was rendered very quickly and the milkshake was delicious! The quantity was perfect for two people to share

Yelp
Totally unique as outside of other locations in Minneapolis and Blaine, I am not privy to any other cereal bars. Treats offers a majority of the cereals you enjoy blended or added into ice cream such as in a cup, dish or shake format. In addition to ice cream, Treats also serves up boba tea, coffee drinks and merchandise. The vibe here is awakening with the hot pink purple graffiti walls making a funky backdrop to snap a pic or two. The service is really quick and the staff are kind. A newer addition is a kiosk where you can place your own order and await the treat of your choice to be crafted to perfection. While it's always a good time to visit, you can't miss out on trying this during a MN summer evening. Thank you Grand Ave.Treats!

Yelp
The perfect post-dinner dessert shop to stop at in St Paul! The staff was quick to make my Frooty Flakes milkshake and it was DELICIOUS! Not too rich and was exactly what I needed for an after-dinner sweet treat. Since this location is right on Grand Ave, it can be tricky to find a close parking spot, but it's worth the walk!

Halley K.

Yelp
The staff is wonderful. But the waffles are really really dry and very hard. We needed to load it up with sauce and there wasn't enough to choke it down. I couldn't even doctor it up to eat it so it went to waste. Which is really upsetting when you pay that much for a waffle.

Yelp
The nostalgia of eating your favorite childhood cereal was real! Located on Grand Avenue Treats is a feral/dessert shop. My milkshake had puppy chow and reeses puffs with a Carmel drizzle (its called the Treats Supreme). It was very tasty and sweet. Note when it's busy it's very hard to receive your order. It was very noisy indoors so I recommend taking it to the patio out front. The milkshake was $8.50.

Yelp
Treats is a cute spot on Grand to grab a treat. The space is cleanly decorated- white walls and neon lighting. Smaller boba menu but there is also ice cream, waffles and coffee. Unique thing about this shop- you can buy half gallons of your favorite milk tea! Service is super nice!

Ingi E.

Yelp
Always tasty! It's in a great area to take a walk with a sweet treat on a nice day. The cookies n cream milkshake is a go to for us Oreo lovers! The cereal and ice cream are perfectly mixed with tons of crushed Oreos. It was my first time trying a fruit tea here - passion fruit tea with strawberry popping boba - and I was happy the sweetness could be adjusted on that! Super refreshing. There are a few small tables inside (maybe 4) and plenty more seating outside. I can usually find a spot to park in the neighborhood, but it can be tough on a busy day or during rush hour, so I'd keep that in mind. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Yelp
We had cravings for some treats, so naturally this place piqued our interest. I tried the matcha strawberry drink that was heavily advertised, and really wasn't a fan. I normally like matcha lattes but I discovered that they aren't for me if strawberry jam is included. The ice cream made up for it though, plenty of tasty mix-ins! Cute small outdoor patio to sit on grand ave is a perk! Overall probably a 3.5 star experience for me.

Yelp
This place opens later than other ice cream places in the neighborhood. It is also different style of ice creams. It's soft serve ice cream that has been customized with your liking of toppings. I had the brown sugar boba ice cream special. It's so yummy. Nice soft serve ice cream not too sweet. The boba is perfectly cooked. The brown sugar syrup is sweet but you can ask for less if you want. The place is so cute and packed in the summer. Street parking is generally not too hard

Carolyn W.

Yelp
We come here often. The service is always top notch and the drinks on point. The boba is made fresh every morning. In fact, if you come too early; is it too warm to serve. Every time I step inside I feel like I have stepped into a shop in Miami Beach, love the vibe in here! Bright white and lots of sun makes for a enjoyable respite at one of the tables inside or grab a table outside. The waffle was fluffy and not dry or dense, didn't need the side of syrup but syrup is always a good thing! So many good things to order and the staff will suggest if you don't know what to order. I have taken home the half gallon taro with boba and it keeps well.

Laura W.

Yelp
Their ices team is good because of the toppings! I wish that the ices cream itself was a bit better though!

Sarah E.

Yelp
Delicious and thick ice cream with a great neon light atmosphere! The Crisp N Cookie was vanilla ice cream with: oreo, cookie crisp, and snickers - it was amazing! It even came with a few Cookie Crisp cereal on top. As a big boba fan, I had to try the iced matcha with tapioca pearls and it did not disappoint. The tapioca pearls were perfectly cooked and the matcha tasted natural and strong. My boyfriend ordered the Super Crunch Brothers, which he really enjoyed. Inside there is a long bench for seating and a few chairs - not too many spaces. However, they do have a large outdoor seating section that is great for summer. The parking is a bit difficult because it is mostly street parking, but there are a few small parking lots across the street.

Yelp
Crazy to think this is my first time reviewing Treats, when I've gone here a handful of times and loved it every time! Let's start with the super cute and very instagrammable picture perfect inside, it's clean, fresh, and fun. The staff are all friendly. I've had a bunch of their different milk teas to include taking home some of their half gallon ones (love they have this option and they have taro, regular, and Thai milk tea flavors in the half gallon option). Last time I came in I ordered the brown sugar milk tea (which admittedly was a little sweet but it's because I didn't shake it up before I started drinking), but I ended up liking it a lot and it seems to be a really popular drink there. All in all, they have all kinds of treats, whether your craving is boba tea or ice cream or even waffles covered in ice cream, they've got a great selection to choose from! Also had a nice outdoor patio to enjoy your treats in the lovely summer weather.

Jade W.

Yelp
Still five stars! The menu has updated a bit to be less confusing, in my opinion! Also they now serve spyhouse coffee beverages. I'm particularly excited that they now have macadamia milk as a non-dairy option! This time I ordered a strawberry matcha latte with macadamia milk. It comes unmixed but it's easy to mix-up with a straw post-photos. I didn't taste the matcha flavor as much, maybe the macadamia milk masked it? I did appreciate it wasn't super sweet, making it a nice contrast to their other menu offerings. Although, because I couldn't taste the matcha much, I wouldn't order it again.

Hannah C.

Yelp
A yummy spot to hit post dinner for a creamy, cereal-flavored dessert - but I would definitely say that this is more about the insta-worthy photos versus the taste / novelty of the menu items. The cereal ice cream is definitely the most popular item here - I think the boba was okay, but not awesome (plenty of other boba-specific places that are better). Be prepared to spend a pretty penny here! It's a bit overpriced for ice cream but definitely a spot I think you should hit up at least once

Manny M.

Yelp
Staff is very friendly and the boba is tasty (matcha latte is my go to). Nice patio in front for people watching or hanging out.

F A.

Yelp
Was recommended this place by a friend of mine. I instantly fell in love with the interior, and the customer service. The person in the front was so kind, and the boba that I ordered was by far one of the best bobas I tasted in my life. The strawberry matcha latte had the right amount of everything in it! I would recommend this place to anyone that loves match, boba or willing to try something new!!

Erin M.

Yelp
This is a great place for a first date. The drinks are reasonably priced. The waffles have a nice flavor, not too sweet or too bland. The ice cream cereal tastes like the best part of the cereal milk. The pumpkin brown sugar boba was amazing.

Anya L.

Yelp
I have been here a few times, and I've really enjoyed it each time. The staff are friendly and service is fast. I really love the neon sign on the wall, and the menu is so aesthetic. It is a little expensive, but totally worth it because the ice cream is unique and good quality. The waffle desserts are always really good. I want to try the bubble tea next time I come in.

Katherine G.

Yelp
The absolute best bubble tea in TC, delicious waffles and great service. My kids ask to come to Treats specifically for their Mango Fruit Tea with Boba, and I enjoy Matcha tea.

Jeff R.

Yelp
Our friends recommended this place before we planned to head out to get healthy smoothies at some chain. Glad they did! The Butter Puff milkshake tastes like drinking your childhood in a tasty treat form!

Marie C.

Yelp
OOPs I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review for Treats! Treats is definitely in my Top 5 favorite spots in the Twin Cities. Maybe even Top 3! Everything about Treats is perfect. Located on Grand Ave in Summit Hill, it's a great location to grab your treat then stroll around the neighborhood or sit out on their patio and people watch. There's free street parking along Grand Ave and surrounding streets. When you first walk into Treats you'll be overwhelmed with an amazing smell. That smell is mostly their waffles! When you're standing there with that delicious smell it's very hard to resist ordering one. They're delicious! I've never had anything I didn't like from Treats! My typical go-to order is an Iced Treats Classic Milk Tea with boba. I also like their Thai Tea, and Taro Tea. For Covid-19, they also offer a half gallon of milk tea. I've gotten this a few times and it's great to bring week-long happiness! You can also get a side of boba. They say the boba is only good for 24 hours but I just throw it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it's almost as good as fresh! They offer online ordering, gift cards, and merch!

Phillip N.

Yelp
This sweet shop is super cute! Boba Tea was the perfect after dinner treat tonight. The staff was friendly, the place was clean/inviting, and the tea was great! I definitely want to go back and try out some of the other sweet treats soon!

Caitlyn S.

Yelp
This is such a unique spot! I love the ice cream mixes that they do. It feels like being a kid again! My biggest wish is that they had non-dairy ice cream options. I've been here before to have their ice cream, but now that I cut out dairy, I came to get the boba this time. I got the lychee tea with tapioca and my friend got the caramel matcha latte. The lychee tea was delicious! I got it in the bottle because I was hoping to reuse it later. The bottle upgrade is so cute and a cheap upgrade. My friend loved her caramel matcha latte. The outdoor seating is plentiful and the inside of the building is adorable with plenty of spots for the 'gram.

Isabelle T.

Yelp
I have never had an ice cream treat like the one at Treats in my life. The cereal mix-ins, the rich ice cream, and the layer of caramel simply made this the most decadent treat. They had boba tea that looked phenomenal and other ways to enjoy your ice cream treat (cones, dishes, etc.)! If you're in St. Paul absolutely try this place! They also have waffles that look awesome. Nice patio outside to eat on, not much space inside the business fyi!

Hnou V.

Yelp
I still recommend the strawberry matcha latte. They do not skimp on the matcha. Can't wait to come back for more.

Missi V.

Yelp
If you love cereal and ice cream this is the place. There are so many delicious combinations you can have and they also have boba tea. I had the Treats Boba Tea it was soooo good! Can't wait to come back and try another!

Danielle H.

Yelp
Treats is AMAZING!!!! The staff, the ice cream, the boba teas....everything was scrumptious! My kids are in love and so am I We will be back!

Dale G.

Yelp
Very much a gimmicky place. And too expensive. They take soft serve ice cream and flavor it with cereal. I wouldn't go back. If you want something cool looking on your Instagram, this will do. If you want good ice cream and good value, this place is not the spot. Considering Grand Ol Creamery is a couple doors down, I won't ever go back into this place.

Mahva J.

Yelp
It had been a while since my last visit to Treats. I had been jonesing for some Boba and knew that they had the best I've had thus far. I got the Mango Fruit Tea with Tapioca boba, and he got the Thai Milk Tea with Tapioca boba. He'd never had boba before, so it was recommended that he start there. One of the things I always do when at Treats is to get suggestions. They've never been wrong and I'm always super-happy with the results. I'd not had the Mango Fruit Tea before and it was difficult to not slurp it down immediately after the first taste. Besides the fantastic drinks and delicious eats at Treats, the customer service is top-notch and beyond reproach. Friendly smiles and patiently answering questions are what's always on the menu, so you're going to have a great experience even before you get your food. I am really glad that they survived the Covid shutdowns. Get there so that you can experience this wonder for yourself.

Yelp
I have been at this place for at least 1,5 years , I wait til now to review it, because it is the right time to do it. One of the nicest place for desserts , the Jasmine Milk Tea with Crystal bobba , it's top notch . I get it every single visit . the ice cream with cereals , it's a staple to most guests . And they have Matcha Strawberry and Matcha Jasmine tea also very good. The new hot drink, the campfires Lava chocolate with Cinnamon toast cereals are perfect for winter. Very clean and very good service.

Yelp
Location: 10/10. Love that it is super close to many restaurants and easy to walk to and from. Their patio is cozy and it was a nice place to stop after dinner and enjoy the summer night outdoors. Very cute interior of the ice cream shop, with modern and trendy decor to get the best photos of your treat. Ice cream: Ehh. For $8 I thought it would have been better. It's a fun idea, I'm just not sure this "treat" is for me. It's so grainy with the ground up mixins, and I think I'd rather just go for a dq blizzard that's half the price and better tasting. I don't LOVE cereal to begin with, so I might not be the best candidate for this type of treat. I do wish they had an option for ice cream that had no cereal, maybe chocolate chips or something else as a mixin, but I get that this is what they do - cereal. Price: Too spendy. The smallest size is around $8 with tax, and is a big amount of ice cream, not just an after dinner treat. I wish there was an option for half the ice cream as the "small" size. Service: There were plenty of workers this Saturday night we visited and they were super busy but working hard to churn out tons of orders. I was happy with the quick wait time even though it seemed they were slammed and had been busy for hours.

Paula C.

Yelp
They've got a cereal bar that you can incorporate on waffles and ice cream and their boba are in the cutest tumblers ever (you'll have to ask for that) Overall, the perfect place for a quick treat

Amy J.

Yelp
Wow!!! We love this type of thing. Fun, creative and unique trendy places! The drinks are good and so is the ice cream!!! We are excited about the new blaine location closer to home. It looks as fun as the one on Grand! See you soon!

Dawn C.

Yelp
Love love love this place. Our kids beg to visit every time we head to Como, and they don't have to twist our arms. We love the cereal themed ice cream treats and the fact that we can get them as a shake to minimize car spillage. They were super careful during the pandemic which only increased our number of visits.

Amy P.

Yelp
Visited Treats with a friend on a Sunday around 1pm. There was a couple and one other group in the store. There is space inside for maybe two more groups and that's about it so be warned it could be crowded on busy days. Anyway, so I ordered a Nutella waffle but had Reese Puffs instead of Oreos (this is a cereal bar, after all). My friend got the Fruity Pebble waffles and a Mango tea with Mango boba. Everything about my experience was good. They offered me syrup or whipped cream with my waffles (I got syrup but didn't end up needing it). The wait was a little long, but they only have one waffle maker so there wasn't much we could do about it. The waffles are good, but pretty average. If you have a waffle maker and Nutella, you can make this yourself but for $6.50, I'd probably get them again. I didn't end up trying any of the tea but my friend enjoyed it (though we are not boba connoisseur). I would definitely try some next time. You can also take any of the fruit teas to go in a can with boba! The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The building is painted colorfully with different cereal characters.

Mariam R.

Yelp
I've tried both Treats' ice cream and their bubble tea and both are outstanding! I know some people might say it's just ice cream but it is so much more than that. Here, you get the opportunity to mix in your own cereals into the ice cream or make your own creations. The ones they have listed are pretty solid. Not only that, but the ice cream itself is so creamy. It tastes similar to an ice cream shop I had in NYC! That's when you know it's legit. Loved all the ice cream cone flavors too. Highly recommend you get a colorful cone - that's half the fun! We tried the Oreo and matcha supreme and both were amazing! I have also tried the taro bubble tea in the past and it's delicious. Which it were closer to me otherwise I would be here weekly!

Linda V.

Yelp
Super cute boba shop and all the drinks are tasty! Some of my favorites are Thai Tea and Passion fruit Jam milk. There's a parking lot to the side and street parking.

Ivan H.

Yelp
If you're looking for some sweet ending to your day, this is the place for you to try out. Even though we had this before dinner, it was still a great choice to experience a new craze which is the cereal infused with ice cream or yogurt. 5/5 The Strawberry bubble tea was good with nicely done boba and lychee jelly was also perfect. Not too sweet. 5/5 Green Tea with boba was also very good and not too sweet. 5/5 Berry Kiss was a collection of cereal, Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops, Trix, all infused with this special machine that many people are using now. It was really creaming with a nice crunchy texture, and even though I was uncertain at first, I am now a fan of this dessert. Service was super friendly and inviting...would love to visit this place again when I'm in town.

Rida S.

Yelp
This place is awesome so unique and trendy! I love bubble tea and icecream so I knew I would love it, their ice cream is so unique with cereal.mixed in, you can also customize ice cream as well, they have waffles and hot drinks as well! I tried the matchasota and the passion fruit bubble tea so far and really enjoyed both. I will def be coming back for more, their inside is cute as well with murals and characters!

Lindsay S.

Yelp
This is the cutest place! We ventured here for my hubby's birthday and we decided to share a treat and get two teas. We read up on what a few other Yelpers got when they were here and also took some free tea samples and recommendation from employee working. She was very helpful in explaining everything since this was our first time there. The decor inside is really striking. The modern white walls with the graffiti like cereal cartoon character gave it a really awesome feel. There were some cereal pillows and a good amount of seating for a quick treat. They also had a few displays with a tasty looking fruity pebble waffle and the options for boba bubbles and cones. Ice cream: Matcha Supreme (sub vanilla ice cream- suggested by employee) and the Midnight Vanilla cone. This was so good! Watch them as they make the cones! It's a really cool drill torpedo to blend it. It reminded me of a blizzard, but in a cone! Yummmm! The Midnight Vanilla cone tasted like a vanilla fortune cookie. Me like! Teas: Mango Fruit tea with strawberry popping boba. We love popping boba and this was a tasty combo. It is a little on the sweater side with the popping boba, so pick a tapioca if you don't want more sweetness in your tea. Bottle of Taro milk tea with crystal boba. We were able to sample a few of the lactose free teas and they were all so good, but decided this one was it for today. It had a rich and creamy flavor and the chewy bobas. I want another one now. Thanks Treats for great service and a fun, yet tasty treats! We will be back!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
It pricey for not tasty. I have tried a few smoothies and they sucks all I tasted is milk more than the fruit flavor. So it very hint of fruit fyi. The only thing that I actually like it was the pink sugar cone that was good to eat.

Trina V.

Yelp
Such a cute spot! Not a lot of seating on the inside but lots of patio space outside. The walls are also covered with murals of cereal characters. Cereal and ice cream are blended together in a cone or cup and the result is absolutely delicious. I don't remember what mine was called but it had apple jacks and was big enough to share. It surprised me how much i actually ended up liking it The jasmine green tea bubble tea was also delicious. The tea itself was very fragrant and the boba was soft and the right mount of sweetness. In addition, the service was great and the folks working there were so nice! I would definitely come back for more.

Phyllis M.

Yelp
There can never be too many boba spots, is my personal motto. Seriously, boba is just the best and Treats is the newest place to get it! But it's not just boba, Treats has a cereal bar aka ice cream blended with all sorts of crunchy goodness and topped with all the things! Treats sits on Grand Ave across from the Punch Pizza and is just the cutest spot to grab something sweet after dinner, meet up with a friend or have a fun date! The cereal bar is awesome. I've tried the bananagram and crisp n' cream. Both are delish and definitely satisfy whatever sweet cravings you may have! The cereal is crushed straight into the ice cream to get maximum flavor! You can get the different flavor concoctions in a cone, in a dish, as a shake or in a bowl! The cones are definitely the coolest and tastiest and come in five different flavors :) As for the boba, gimme gimme gimme! They have a pretty basic offering of milk tea and fruit teas, plus those toppings you've come to know and love! My personal fave is the taro with crystal bubbles, but you can never go wrong with the classic milk tea and boba! If you're looking for something lighter and less creamy, the fruit teas are the way to go! Plus they have these adorable to-go bottles if you want to bring your boba home :) For a new spot, they are crushing it! I'd love to see how they continue to evolve (maybe more customizable options? Sweetness levels for boba?!)!

Emily Z.

Yelp
Not that great and won't come back. I would give 2.5 stars if I could but still...I expected a lot better. Treats seemed to be the newly hyped up place on social and I was excited to try it like most people. Between my friends and me, we tried two of their bubble teas and their matcha ice cream with matcha cone. Thai tea here was a bust. Not that flavorful and almost watery. The strawberry matcha drink was overpowering with artificial strawberry (no trace of matcha at all). I would have rather gone somewhere else in St. Paul for boba since there are many places better than this one for it close by. Most sad was their matcha ice cream...it was ice cream that came in the huge industrial sized containers, plus presentation was the sloppiest I've seen at an ice cream place. It should have been remade instead of handed to a customer honestly...especially if you want your guests to come for an "Instagram-able" experience. Note: this is also located down the street from Grand Ole Creamery, so to compete, they need to step up their ice cream game. Overpriced for most items too, $7-$8 for a bowl of cereal or store-bought ice cream with cereal inside? No thanks. Save your time and go somewhere else, or try for yourself and risk the disappointment.

Anna H.

Yelp
If you're looking for legit milk tea/boba tea and ice cream , I'd suggest a different place in St Paul - but if you want a decent Instagram photo op then sure you should try it! I ordered the regular matcha strawberry milk tea which is okay priced, the matcha is non-existent and the artificial strawberry is overpowering. I had this same type of matcha strawberry latte drink at other boba places and tastes way different. My friends got Thai tea and matcha supreme ice cream with matcha cone. The Thai tea was basic, nothing special and not creamy. The matcha ice cream was a total fail/mess, they gave it to her looking super sloppy.. I would have gave it another chance if any three of these options were good but they were all a miss. Hate to be the negative Nancy here but all this place has is a cute vibe going for them, their ice cream is way over priced and the drinks are not the best/average. The matcha cone was over $9 and that's not including and tips.

Mikayla K.

Yelp
Food: This new Grand Ave addition features boba tea and cereal infused ice cream - yes, it's a somewhat odd combination. It's possible my expectations were just way too high after seeing all the cute artsy pictures, but I wasn't wowed. It's a cool concept, ice cream with crushed cereal and other treats mixed in. However in reality, it tastes just like a Blizzard or a McFlurry (a very expensive Blizzard). I'd say the price is what deters me the most. Two ice cream bowls were $16 and that's just not worth it for me. Also, the smallest option they have is still huge which is great if you want a large bowl of ice cream, but doesn't work if you're looking for a small taste. Venue: Located next to Red Rabbit and across from Punch Pizza, this is a hopping area. There's a few tables inside and outside, but if you come on a busy summer evening, be prepared to stand outside and enjoy your treat. The inside is typical "artsy, insta worthy" with tons of shiny white surfaces, mural walls and stainless steel. It wasn't bad by any means - just extremely expensive for what seemed like a glorified Blizzard. Overall 3.5/5.
