Mei Mei Dumplings Closes the Restaurant at Its South Boston Factory | Eater Boston

"Building on a successful August pop-up beer garden on the South Garden lawn at the Prudential Center, the Massachusetts brewery has launched to-go sales from the Pru on Fridays and Saturdays with expanded daily hours planned. A retail pick-up store is open by the Shake Shack on the mall's arcade level, and customers can order ahead for curbside-style pickup via the parking garage's free loop. To mark the Boston debut they brewed a new IPA called Hello Boston, and the rollout is presented as the start of a permanent presence in the city with plans to resume and expand the beer garden next year." - Erika Adams

My family and I had an awesome experience at Treehouse in the Prudential Center. The staff was incredibly friendly and more than attentive to all our needs/questions about IPAs. They had a fresh homemade hot cocoa machine cranking with a peppermint schnapps option for the non beer lovers! The Christmas decorations stole the show above all. As a self proclaimed “Elf”, getting to enjoy my favorite beer in a little winter wonderland was second to none. The whole Christmas vibe gave huge nostalgia to visiting the mall as a kid for the mall Santa’s. I’ve been catapulted into the Christmas spirit from our trip at the Pru Treehouse and will be back sooner than soon for more memories.

Listen, this is little more than a pickup spot. But if you are in Boston and don’t have time to go to one of the other locations, drop in and grab a world class IPA. They have 3 options inside. A retail spot with some clothes and a few beers, a to go spot where you place an order and leave with beer, and they have a small area with beer you can drink there. Every one of them had great, helpful staff. Bottom line - go grab some of this amazing beer.

Great to have a location inside Prudential. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Beers are of course top shelf quality for any choice you make. I’ve got Julius and Alter Ego (they just arrived).

Awesome to finally have Tree House in the city! The Prudential spot is super convenient, the space is clean and welcoming, and the staff are top-notch. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and make the experience fun to purchase some beers for home or grab some beers after work. Great mix of classics and rotating beers on draft. Boston needed this, and I’ll definitely be back.

Disappointing Coffee Freshness Control I'm a huge fan of Treehouse and love the overall experience, but I was unfortunately very disappointed with my recent coffee purchase. Last night (10/25), I bought three 12-ounce bags of coffee totaling $54. Upon getting home, I checked the roast dates and found that two of the three bags were roasted on 8/25/25. This means the coffee was exactly two months old when I purchased it. For a roaster selling bags at a premium price point of $24 per pound, two-month-old coffee is well past its prime and considered stale. While the coffee is technically drinkable, it lacks the fresh flavor and aroma I expect from a specialty roaster. I strongly recommend that Treehouse implement better inventory management for their roasted coffee to ensure customers are always receiving freshly roasted bags. I hope to buy truly fresh beans on my next visit.

Wow! I can’t express enough how special the experience is at Treehouse Prudential! From the spectacular product, to the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, it was amazing. Perfect way to spend a few hours with family, friends, or even on your own. Can’t recommend enough.

I enjoyed my time here. A little bit of a let down in terms of ambiance as it is just a cart and some tables in a mall. Otherwise great staff who let you sample the beers! I really enjoyed the Julius and was able to take a few cans home! I am happy that they opened up a place in Boston as their flagship location is pretty far.

Easily the fastest in and out of any Tree House, aside from maybe the Tewksbury pickup outpost. The handoff is like it was On the Fly in 2020 during Covid in Charlton, and I’m sure the Pru kiosk is similarly easy and efficient. Pro tip: use 125 Huntington Ave. as your address in navigation if using the free loop, as noted by THBC when originally opened.
