"Danny Trejo’s expanding restaurant and packaged goods empire shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Forbes checked back in with the longtime character actor to assess the success of his growing non-movie brand, including his company’s eight current restaurant locations from Woodland Hills to Pasadena. Trejo and his partners have also recently launched their own line of beer, and Trejo says that, while they aren’t ready to franchise, plans to grow into Colorado or Texas in the near future is certainly “high on our agenda.”" - Farley Elliott

First let me preface this with, I love Danny Trejo and go to Trejo Cantina in Woodland Hills on a reg basis where the food is always Ahhh-mazing and the service is good. I happened to be in Pasadena tonight and was like, let's check out their location here. This red headed young waitress, Emily took our order. She seemed nice. I ordered my usual the Mushroom Taco's, Cauliflower Taco and the rice and beans and my roommate ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. Other place brings us chips and salsa as they great us at the table, not here you have to ask for them she said. The manager brought our food, who I will address more later. I took photos as usual and immediately noticed the portion, they are very stingy. My tacos had 1/3 of the amount of food on the taco compared to their Woodland Hills location. The food was very bland and lacked the same Ahhh-mazing flavor their Woodland Hills has. My rice was undercooked and still hard and the beans were more like refried beans. My roommate noticed they forgot to add chicken to his quesadilla. I was expecting to see the waitress again, so I can let her know, but we never saw her again. I mean we saw her, but she never came over to see if we were OK or to ask how everything was or to ask if I wanted a refill, nothing! So if a red head comes to take your order, just know, you probably wont see her again, seriously. So as our waitress zipped by, I said, can we have the check?? And she was like, "oh, no dessert"? We were like, um, no. There was a cute tiny girl who was cleaning the table next to us and she asked us if everything was OK, she sensed something was wrong. I told her how disappointed we were and all the issues we had and how we weren't able to tell the waitress, cuz she never came by nor did she ask when I asked for the check. She said hang on, let me get the manager. So, that manager I spoke about ealier comes by, a clueless looking Anderson Cooper type. I begin to explain things, and he blamed their new computer system regarding the no chicken issue and when I showed him photos of my tacos from their Woodland Hills location vs their tacos, he said, "well we measure things here." What?!??! He was gracious enough to remove the beans and barely touched rice from the bill, he kept trying to walk away as I was talking to him, which shows he is very disconnected and disrespectful. No sorry, nothing. I have been a waiter and ran a family business and can't imagine being so detached, and unfamiliar with body language. I watched him as he was floating around "trying" to help and was surprised how unfamiliar he seemed with the restaurant business. Follow me on Instagram @TheVeganFoodSnob

Service, food, drinks, atmosphere, location- all fantastic! Guac is so good. Carnitas taco was heaven. Wash it down with an El Diablo, you'll thank me later. Loved the airy light atmosphere. Our server was very helpful and super nice.

We had great service here and although the food was ok I feel like you are definitely paying for the name. Everything seemed a bit over priced. Menu offers a little of bit of everything for it size. Refills on the aguas was a plus.

I wish I could give it a higher rating but their prices are just to dang high for what you get. Knock 2-3 bux off of someone your tacos and it would be a can't beat price! Other than that their taco de barbacoa is their best in my opinion!

My wife and I ordered the Nachos and Surf N Turf burrito and both were really good. We also ordered the Tortilla soup Which we ended up sending back because it tasted a bit odd and burnt. Other than that, the service is okay as well as there Spicy Margarita.

Food is OK - nothing special. Service was great though! I've been here a couple of times for lunch with my officemates and it seems like this place doesn't get crowded for lunch.

Great happy hour. Good tacos & Mexican food :) hidden gem for the price. Better than the other local alternatives. These margs are clean and strong.
