"Tremolo is a modern wine bar in historic Middleburg serving impeccable drinks, premium coffee, and internationally-inspired small plates, including a 15-course tasting menu as well as special ticketed drink pairings with dinner. The food menu is sorted into small plate sections, starting with upscale takes on classic pub grub (think truffle popcorn), as well as “cheesy snacks” like burrata served with heirloom tomatoes and “meaty snacks” such as spicy lamb meatballs. This cozy restaurant is run by CityZen alum Jarad Slipp, a master sommelier, Culinary Institute of America-trained chef, and former RdV Vineyards estate manager." - Tim Ebner, Kalina Newman

Food was pretty mid. Here’s what we had and our ratings: 1) chips and dip - chips were ok 5/10 - dip wasn’t bad at all 7/10 - in all: 6/10 2) Pan con tomate - bread was so soft and crunchy at the same time - sauce was very flavorful - in all: 8.9/10 3) lamb meatballs - sauce was very unappetizing - meatball itself had an uneasy texture - it could’ve been because my palette is a little different from the food style but it was very hard to eat - in all: 1/10 4) shrimp roll - shrimp wasn’t bad - bread (shrimp stuffed in bread) tasted like canes bread, no complaints - in all 5.4/10 5) hanger steak - steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare - rare) - sauce was pretty good - easy to eat, small bites - in all: 8/10 6) ribs - sauce was quite spicy - ribs were easy to eat - cooked well In all: 7.6/10 7) Pom spritz drink - was very hard to drink - took one sip and had to change it - again, probably just too rich for my taste but the after flavor tasted like how your throat feels after throwing up 😅 - in all: 1/10

Google
It's so good! The staff was so nice in checking in and chatting with us. I'm not a wine person, but they helped me find a wine I loved (and then went to their sister shop to buy). The food was also insanely good! I absolutely adore this place!

Not jut lunch, it was a gourmet experience. We had a wonderful time at the elegant but simple Tremolo Bar. The food was just spectacular and we can't wait to visit it again (and again). Carlos Sampaio Sept/2024

The experience at Tremolo was excellent! The food, the wine, the cocktail, and the cheerfully helpful service! We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon in their patio with our pup. We plan to be back to taste more of their exquisite bites!

Google
Your restaurant came highly recommended and we enjoyed the food and outside seating very much. However, our server Roberta was quite unfriendly. She was off putting especially when we didn’t order drinks at lunchtime. Overall I got the impression she didn’t like us. Everyone else that we interacted with were very friendly and approachable, especially Luke.

Google
My husband and I popped in for a couple glasses of wine, without a reservation, and the team was so accommodating. Their wine list is really impressive, and our server was very personable and attentive. We had dinner plans for later that evening, but the food all looked and smelled amazing. I can't wait to go back and try all of it!

Google
I stopped by here for some coffee. They don’t have coffee menu, since this place is mainly for wine and snacks. But the staff made excellent flat white and cappuccino. Super friendly staffs made us feel like we were in Michelin star restaurant. The dessert was to die for, perfect combination of hot and cold & sweet and salty. Try their Apple pie & ice cream dessert. You won’t regret it. I thought it was a nice touch to have the check come in a cute little Wine Encyclopedia.

Google
Tremolo's renown was verified by our visit last evening. It was a destination dining establishment for us. My partner is a Sommelier. We were very impressed with the staff's wine and food knowledge (all seem to be Soms). They work as a team. Expect to be well cared for. Many say the wine list is legendary and it doesn't disappoint. Many enjoyed their hand crafted cocktails. He shareable plates were generous and delicious. The prices were reasonable. The two storey space is intimate with fewer than 20 tables. The owners placed interesting art. The decor is a bit spartan and the venue is too brightly lit for our taste. Our conclusion, this is a must stop while in Loudoun County.

Yelp
Beautiful little dinner at Temolo. The dinner menu changes but please keep the pan e tomate bc it was amazing. Carrot and date salad was like my mom's 1970s version back with a vengeance of amazing flavors and the ribs were top 10 of all time. Joseph was such a gem- great wine recommendations and just a very attentive nice guy who made the dining experience so great.

Yelp
Tremolo is my favorite restaurant in Middleburg, possibly northern Virginia. I've been four times now and it just gets better and better. The small plates are perfectly crafted, the wine list is impressive and the service is impeccable. The menu changes regularly but thankfully they have kept my two favorite plates on the menu, the bbq shrimp and the stracciatella. My only complaint is two of the four times I've visited they've been out of the truffles for the stracciatella, thankfully it's still pretty damn good without the shaved truffles. I love high-end food/drink with a casual atmosphere, which can be hard to find and Tremolo nails this combination perfectly. My partner and I ride Vespas and we feel perfectly comfortable going for a bike ride and stopping in with messy hair, jeans, and boots. Service is impeccable, which is a tough and admirable feat in this economy/landscape. Can't wait for my next visit and highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Food was delicious but a little on the pricier side. Ordered four things for two people, bill was $130 and still left hungry BUT pleaded with what we ordered. Unique dishes presented well. Love the freshness of ingredients and the open kitchen concept

Bob A.

Yelp
The scallops are world class The service (Nick) is exceptional- it's really special they really understand wine and especially Rioja Riservas. The small plate concept in Middleburg is gaining ground and Tremolo is definitely in the lead I like the clean open kitchen look of the indoor and the tables outside are very rare in Hunt Country. There is an upstairs - but mainly for the restrooms. Tremolo is a go to.

Candace R.

Yelp
My friend and I were killing time downtown before our flights and were directed to Tremolo for a drink after stopping in the owner's pizza shop down the street. I would have loved to sit in the patio but my friend preferred indoors, which is where they lose a star for me. It smelled like a bad cleaning product inside, which was unfortunate because it's a beautiful space, but I just endured since we were in a/c. The service was impeccable and our server nailed the two recommendations he gave us. We sat up by the window and got to people watch which was fun. If we hadn't had just eaten lunch, they had some delicious sounding light bites that I would have loved to try.

Yelp

The food was also insanely good! I absolutely adore this place! They made me feel special but also like they knew me here.

Yelp
Went here for a heavy snack. The wine list is overwhelming. There is no way to order without asking for help from the server, and then what do you do? Are you going to ask them to describe all 50 or so wines on the menu?. No hint of what all these wines taste like not even a one line description is presented on the menu. If you are not a serious wine connoisseur you will be lost. The small plates tasted ok. I left hungry without having drunk any wine. Very expensive. Nothing for children at all, they don't even try a little bit to accommodate kids. Service was fine, the food was good. Far too pricey. Super expensive for what it is but I guess that is typical for Middleburg. I will not return. If you love wine and have a great knowledge of different wines from different locations this place would probably be great. As a casual wine drinker I found it completely overwhelming. I had no clue what to order and did not want to have my waiter spend an hour describing every selection. Decor is spartan, nothing special. Location is fine, the view of the foot traffic and tow is nice with the windows.

Yelp
I would give our experience 6 out of 5 if possible! We were recommended to come here by some people in the wine industry, and I'm happy we took their word! Starting off, small restaurant but very elegant, modern, and clean. We came in, and we were promptly addressed and asked if we would like outside or inside. We chose outside as it was a beautiful evening, and the patio looked nice. The wine list is spectacular, and we were informed the food menu is more small plate style than a single large dish, which was great as we had the ability to try many good dishes. The food was outstanding, I wish we could have tried everything on the menu since it all looked and sounded good! Shout out to the tuna and the labneh as all-stars! Then the wine menu, which is extensive to say the least (and that doesn't include every single wine they offer!). The Sommelier and staff were fantastic at serving us, but the wine recommendations were out of this world, including several off menu offerings that were killer! I wished we lived closer as I would totally come here often, but I'm sure my wallet thanks me for not living too close!

Yelp
Tremolo is a wine bar with small plates food options. It's the creation of Jarad Slipp, who owns Knead Wine and Pizza, just down the street. He's worked in restaurants around the world and was the Estate Director at the RdV winery. Tremolo has a warm almost modern coffeehouse vibe to it. The wine list is solid and has great French, Italian, and Napa options. There are some local wines too, including the Hardscrabble chardonnay from Linden Vineyards. They have some interesting cocktails as well, but I didn't try any this time. Will be looking to check that out next time. Meat, veggie, fish, and cheese options are available for the small plates. There are also smaller "snacks" including marcona almonds. Standout dishes were: Cassoulet - with duck leg confit, sausage, and more pork. Great mix of hearty flavors with the extra juices absorbed by the white beans. This was their largest dish and served two to three people. Yellowfin Tuna Crudo - paired with calabrian chili, basil, pine nuts, spring onion and roasted garlic. The fish itself is perfect and the rest brought extra flavor without overpowering the fish. This dish serves two. Roasted acorn squash salad - paired with goat cheese and bacon lardons. Absolute flavor bomb. A great fall/winter dish. This dish was smaller and could easily serve just one. Service was excellent. Prices were what you would expect for the Middleburg area. Reservations can be made with the Tock app or via their website https://www.tremolobar.com/

Yelp
I sat on the patio for a solo lunch and had the best time. The server (who was also the bartender) was knowledgeable and helpful, and made an excellent cocktail. I got the espresso martini, which was made with aged rum--very balanced cocktail, slightly unique from a typical espresso martini, but had the key essence of orange (which I find essential) & also got a paper plane (very good). The French onion dip & chips was tasty and a good appetizer, though a touch small if you have more than two or three people. I had the lamb ragu and it was fantastic; the chickpeas add a depth to the dish-- really loved this one, and lamb isn't always my favorite. I ended up getting a cappuccino at the end because I was disappointed with the coffee scene in middleburg--seriously the coffee/espresso here is fantastic. Delicious cappuccino!! Their wine list is soooo curated, and they offer glass pours on everything, which you don't always find. I want to go back to try more food & the wine--the owner is apparently a master sommelier, and he has truly curated a beautiful place. Coffee, food, cocktails, & (surely) the wine are not to be missed here.

Yelp
Thoughtful and friendly service, wonderful selection of wines and oh my the drinks! And all Matched by wonderful plates. Tried the tuna crudo, burrata, arugula, chorizo and lamb Ragu. Not all for me, shared with hubby! Each offered amazing bites! All I can say is yes! Give Tremolo a try. And thanks for a fun evening.

Katie A.

Yelp
Very nice! Nick did a great job walking us through the wine list, which is extensive. Had the shrimp, which came in a lovely spicy sauce. Follow that up with the pork ribs which were also quite good, and then a cucumber salad. The salad was unlike anything I've ever had before... Like a long marinated cucumber that was spiral cut. I asked what made this dish so special, and Nick said white me Sue, rice vinegar, lemon juice, and fried shallots. I've never had anything like this in my life, and it was phenomenal. Who would've thought the best thing here was a cucumber salad? BF and I also had a lovely glass of wine recommended by Nick. And of course BF thought we should try the dessert. Usually I only have one spoonful, but I think I ate half of it. Outstanding food, outstanding service.

Yelp
Hold your breath, make a wish, count to three....come with me and you'll be in a world of pure champagne dreams! This place is truly pure imagination, the Willy Wonka factory for wine, in particular, sparkling lovers. They have over 50 types of champagnes by the glass. On top of that, the small plates and the sommelier service staff made this a magical experience for us. Lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong. Great way to break away from mediocre wineries too. Just saying!

Cristina T.

Yelp
Cannot comment on the food or most the service. Was in line for a table and rather than get service we were ignored and the people behind use were seated and the wait time became an hour. Soooo it must be good and it's apparently popular. But it's a hard no for us.

Mary H.

Yelp
Nice, clean and aesthetic restaurant. Honestly, I felt like I was in an upscale tasting room. The tapas were all tasty and delicious. But not enough choices to really fill up on unless it's a light lunch or dinner. It really is more of a snack as stated on their menus. I would consider this place to start my night for apps and cocktails rather than a meal. It's pricey but your paying for quality. *Chorizo-tasty and flamed but they were inconsistent with the amount of rum. Our table fire was high and took longer to burn as opposed the the table next to us. And your expected to turn the chorizo on a stick. I'm curious to see how long this process lasts without incidence. *pan con tomate-tasty, I enjoyed it. *lamb meatballs-flavorful, I liked the cucumber sauce. They have a nice wine list. Their pours are a little more than what you get at a tasting. But not enough to call generous. We would return if we're in the area. Your paying for quality and this place has a lot of potential.

Scott S.

Yelp
Tremolo Bar is an absolutely lovely spot in Middleburg. Even though it advertises itself as primarily a wine bar the cocktail and food options are also amazing. We had a larger party which gave us the opportunity to sample a number of this dishes. A few of our favorites were the straccietela, shrimp roll, crab dip and tuna tataki. Whether you are looking for a light bite or even a full sit down meal, you will not leave disappointed.

Yelp
We came here on a busy Saturday with friends for lunch. We had previously made reservations and were promptly greeted and seated upon entering and our server was on-point, knowledgeable and professional. His vast knowledge of their wine list, including tasting notes was impressive. Clearly, with his passion for wine, he's working in the right place, with Jarad Slipp to coach him. They have a nicely arranged menu featuring a variety of cuisine. Their kitchen isn't very big, so I'm not sure how/where they're prepping it all, but they are doing an excellent job preparing and plating. We started with bubbles and then moved to a white Bordeaux, both excellent choices with the plates we ordered. For snacks, we started with their Parmigiano Reggiano which came with a nicely aged balsamic; the complimented each other quite nicely. The Persian cucumber salad was very creative and nicely plated too, probably the better looking of the plates we ordered. The Pan Con Tomate was interesting and flavorful, the anchovies added a nice saltiness without being too fishy. The Ibérico was excellent, I can see why it's the top ham in the world - highly recommend this plate, and there's plenty to the dish! A fav of everyone was the lamb ragu! Easily the biggest dish, offering plenty to share between the group and the chickpeas in it were a nice touch! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return!

Naz S.

Yelp
Five star experience. Our waiter/sommelier was amazing. It's a shame he's moving because he gave an exquisite experience and I am not easily impressed with "dc dining".

Courtney M.

Yelp
This is my new favorite spot in Middleburg! It's perfect for a date night, girls night, really any celebration! It's a smaller restaurant so you definitely want to make a reservation. They do extremely fresh foods so they only get enough for each day. The food, cocktail and wine menu is curated and very thought out! We've tried pretty much everything at this point. Zach is always our waiter and so knowledgeable and friendly! Mark too! Nick is the sommelier and always helpful with what wine pairing to get! Maybe it was the wine glass, but I did feel a little shorted. I noticed that feedback in a couple other reviews as well. See pics with my feedback!

Marianne C.

Yelp
Cute place. The "Americana coffee," per my friend, was great. The Parm Reg with balsamic was good too, but some crackers would have been nice. I thought the waiter said it came with pita. The cucumber salad was also good, but had a kick. I ordered the bread w/tomatoes on top. I thought they had forgotten about it because it took so long to get. The waiter should have told us it was still coming as we were ready to leave believing the waiter didn't realize we ordered it. The waitress said that the house was full upstairs and downstairs so the order took long. Well, if you can't handle all the tables in your restaurant, maybe you need to reduce the tables or at least tell your customers the order is still coming, but taking awhile. The waitress was less than inviting on a couple of occasions. One waiter was very nice. If you want a snack this is a nice place. I don't believe I would ever feel full after eating here.

Karl B.

Yelp
Our experience was disappointing. We shared orders of stracciatella and mac and cheese. The stracciattella was as described on the menu which is to say that it was grilled bread spread with cheese (presumably stracciatella di bufala) and herbs rather than soup. It came in four pieces making it easy to share. Sadly, it had very little flavor. The pasta in the mac and cheese was dry and unimpressive. There was a fair amount of lobster though it was tough and overcooked. It was served alone in a bowl though the waiter said it was made to be shared. We had to ask for a serving spoon and were given a much too small soup spoon. Were we expected to both eat out of the bowl, or to scrape portions onto our plates with our forks? The wine was excellent. Not the fault of the restaurant, there was an aging yuppie at another table who conducted business on his cell phone in a loud voice. It was not an environment conducive to enjoying what should have been a much better meal. We cannot recommend Tremolo.

Becca S.

Yelp
My goodness!! This place is picture perfect. My best friend and I came to Middleburg for her birthday to do all things small town. :) A local recommended Tremolo & we were blown away. Food, service, and ambiance was 10/10. The staff (Nick, Zach, and Faith) made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. They explained the menu, their favorites, and even told us some fun things about Middleburg since it's our first time here. I wish I could come to this place every weekend! Thank you, friends! We loved it!

Je L.

Yelp
Came in for a couple drinks and was promptly seated. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and I appreciated his guidance on the menu. We only ordered dessert so we can't comment on the food. The ambiance could be slightly improved. My eyes were stinging because it was so smoky in there and we left with our clothes smelling like a fryer. Seems they need better ventilation. I like the minimal decor but it comes off feeling sparse rather than modern. It's not very cozy, esp with their bright lights. Also, watch your step exiting the restaurant. There are no lights outside and in the evening you could easily not notice the awkward step down when leaving. I'd come back again to try the food.

Ed K.

Yelp
A fine collection of tastes and drinks on a fabled street. The staff treated us like family and spent time on conversation and recommendations. Tapas is our preferred way of sharing meals for two and the portions and selections were perfect. The cucumber salad was an unusual treat and the French 75 a notable cocktail. Yes, pricy but classy. Worth a night on this town.

Yiming S.

Yelp
Great ambiance and really high quality ingredients and refreshing dishes for the region. Great for a glass of wine and light meal experience. Excellent wine selection too!

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Listen up: This is easily the best restaurant + cocktail / wine stop in the greater NoVa area. (I said what I said.) Jarad, Nick, Zach and the team are knowledgeable, welcoming, and insanely talented -- this isn't just a meal; it'a a whole experience founded in years of work and a totally unpretentious ability to ensure everyone who crosses the door has great food, unreal flavor combos, an enjoyable time, and delicious beverages. (Honestly, the rarest thing in Middleburg?) Anything on the menu is going to be the best you've ever had (you hear the song lyrics, too, right?!) but I recommend: -- the gin & tonic, which is the best you'll have outside of Barcelona (I didn't want it to end.) -- pan a tomato, which is somehow just grilled bread and tomato and garlic that ends up being much more than the sum of its parts -- wine. Any wine. Nothing on the list will disappoint. -- the carrots and labneh (amazing) -- anything anyone on the very kind staff tells you to try (can they just plot out all of our wine selections from this point forward?) I feel like it's important to note I'm not in any way being compensated for this review and I just genuinely enjoy seeing spaces like this find the acclaim they deserve. When a place like this opens up anywhere near you, you celebrate. They're opening up a coffee and breakfast program soon, and I can't wait. If you're not in the car headed to Middleburg right now, what are you waiting for? Just go, and tell them I sent you. (Also, order the effing carrots.)

Veronica R.

Yelp
Loved this place!! Indoors is a little bright white so not super cozy feeling. The food was excellent! They told us we were there for the last week of the winter menu so I believe it's been updated for more spring flavors recently. Wine list is great and they have a smattering of cocktails. The server was knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Laura T.

Yelp
Great place with unique and delicious food! A must local try! Loved the squash dish and the duck!

E L.

Yelp
Horrible experience. We ordered a glass of wine with " two snacks". Snacks never came until i asked about 15 minutes after the wine was served. At which point they brought place settings. In meantime they asked me how the Nebbiolo was- well i didn't order a Nebbiolo, or at least the name was not Nebbiolo in the menu. Wine was also full of cork and a fly made it into it. we weren't offered a replacement but instead we asked to leave without wasting more time waiting for their snacks which should have been ready in two minutes. Disgusted we left without even finishing the drinks.

Howard G.

Yelp
I almost didn't write about this place because I wanted to keep it a secret. Great small plates. Excellent staff. Great wine selection with off menu surprises. It's better than going to a winery because the wine selection is awesome and diverse and the food really enjoyable.

Alex F.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. This tapas bar lives up to all of the hype. We were driving through Middleburg on a fall day and decided to stop in for lunch. The Sommelier, Nick, gave us lots of details and narration about food and wine which really added to the experience. We started with the New Orleans shrimp with crusty bread. It was spicy and delicious, with ample sauce for bread dipping! Next came the ribs which were more of a Korean style spicing but similarly good. Finally came the Persian cucumber salad, which was also somewhat Korean like but a perfect follow-up to the hearty dishes that preceded it. Dessert was not advertised on the menu but they offered a fantastic apple-blueberry crisp; together with an espresso, it was the perfect way to seal the deal! This is one of the best restaurant experiences I have had this year. The prices are not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Nichole K.

Yelp
The food is fantastic, we ordered tapas style and had 8 dishes to share between the two of us. The owner is friendly and came to our table to welcome us to his new venture. We are huge fans of his pizza/wine shop in town, Knead wine. That said we asked for wine pairing with each tapas, as he is a master sommelier, we just let him choose.

Sadie G.

Yelp
This place is great. On our trip, we went to some nice, well/reviewed places, this blew them away. They primarily do small plates and everything we had was delicious. We ordered hummus, duck and asparagus, all were delicious, the hummus and duck being standouts. Drinks were also amazing! I had maybe the best gin and tonic of my life there. They are clearly adherents to the idea of quality over quantity here! Just a warning though- they are a bit pricey.

Phillip M.

Yelp
This is a fantastic restaurant. We visited on Dec. 30, 2023, and soon realized that the food is better than almost every restaurant we've tried in the last few years, and we've tried a lot. We had escargot, fennel and arugula salad, garlic sausage, scallops, and duck breast. Everything was superb, a delightful culinary experience. Our cocktails were cleverly done, delicious, and refreshing. We finished with bread pudding and dessert wine, and they did not disappoint. Cannot wait to return!

Scott B.

Yelp
We've been wanting to try Tremolo for a while now, passing by it and being intrigued over the last few months. My wife, son and I got a chance to experience it yesterday. It was very up and down which we felt was unfortunate given the final price tag on the meal. First the pros: - The wait staff was super friendly and very informative on both drinks and food. Our waiter took the time to explain each drink and dish and we felt we had a great understanding of what we were ordering. - The drinks were good...and we felt they had a good variety to choose from. - The "simple", more straightforward dishes were good. This included the popcorn, burrata and Iberia Jamon. Also, the special of "gigantous" asparagus was simple yet really good. Cons: - The more complex dishes fell very short in taste and presentation. - The BBQ shrimp were cooked way too long, were super hard/chewy. The sauce was very good though. The bread with it was way too hard. I like crusty, crunchy trench bread....but this was very hard to eat...even with dipping it in the sauce. - The Garlic Sausage and beans didn't have much flavor. The sausage didn't really pack any garlic punch and the beans were just OK. - The biggest disaappointment was the lamb ragout. It was explained to us as very flavorful and to "watch out for the kick" of the spicy peppers. It was total opposite of that with zero spice. I just didn't have the punch of how the description read or how it was described to us. Given the price we paid, we don't feel that the quality of the food was there. We love Middelburg and the food scene and believe this would be a great place to pop in for a drink and maybe a simple app prior to a full dinner somewhere else.

Meagan F.

Yelp
What a great experience. The staff were lovely and had great recommendations on food and wine choices. They were attentive without smothering and the food was delicious. Best meal in Middleburg. It is casual dining with elevated food. Will return.

Jeff H.

Yelp
Wonderful experience - highly recommended. My wife and stopped by Tremolo for a glass and of wine and a snack, and we were very glad we did. The crab dip was excellent, and the recommended wine pairings were equally delicious. My wife and I learned that Tremolo's chef and sommelier is Jarad Slipp, who is a Master Sommelier (only 269 in the world) and chef with Michelin-starred restaurant experience. Jarad's experience and skill showed throughout. I recommend that you stop by Tremolo and treat yourself!

Paul S.

Yelp
I had not eaten at Tremolo until 9/3/2022 though it had been open for 6 months. It has a rather basic décor but it is clean and refreshing compared to overstuffed restaurants and bars. Service was impeccable with multiple wait staff working our table. I started out with a class of excellent cabernet and the wife a gin and tonic. The gin and tonic contained juniper berries, herbs and fresh citrus - by far the best gin and tonic i have ever tasted. The wine list by the glass is extensive and will suite any palate. We started with the fresh strawberry salad that was one of the best appetizers / tapas dishes I have ever had. We finished that up with lamb meatballs and a tomato bruschetta. All was good. I finished up with an expresso martini - again it was different, refreshing and exquisite. I am tough on food and Jared has nailed it!

Ted B.

Yelp
Expensive, but delicious. The quality of the ingredients make zero compromise and are fantastic. The staff is exceptional. The gigantic vat of gin and tonic is totally worth it, and delicious. It can get a little loud. It'd be nice to see what they could produce with a full commercial Kitchen

Nikki A.

Yelp
The atmosphere was calming and nice (reminded me of an IKEA showroom). I was excited to try this place as I love the concept cocktails and tapas, but I was disappointed to see an INCREDIBLY pricey menu with limited selection. Mind you, our party was a larger group, but this experience probably is meant for a max of 4. The plates are shareable, but definitely not for a bigger crowd. They recommend ~3 plates a person. The drinks were good but they were not worth the price. A French 75 for $20??? The food was good, but quite underwhelming considering the price tag. The chorizo came skewered over a literal fire of rum and required you to rotate the meat for 2 minutes before eating it which became a chore soon after it got to the table. I did think that the salad and the tuna were very good, but they were just incredibly tiny portions (to be expected, I guess). The carrots were good, but again, for 5 thin carrots, I'd rather just keep the $12. Overall, a very okay experience. I think that with time this place could become really cool, but as it stands, I wouldn't care to go back unless someone else was paying.

Yelp
Zero stars, caters to "once and done" tourists. Over priced small microwaved portions. Locals don't go here, that should say something

Yelp
The food is excellent, and the staff was wonderful! Definitely plan to stay a while and enjoy a leisurely experience. It is a little pricey, so the small plates add up quickly especially if you are hungry or with a group. Overall, we loved the experience and enjoyed great conversation with each of the staff who stopped by our table!

Yelp
Great find. Definitely get a reservation if interested in enjoying this gem in Middleburg. The place is worth the drive out from DC area. Good vegetarian options, unique dishes, variety of options, excellent cocktails, and intimate ambience.

Yelp
We were a party of 3 for Fathers Day and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to try some new wines, accompanied by some delightful small plates. From start (crab dip and burrata dish) to finish (a chocolate bread pudding with a marscapone topping), and everything in between (asparagus, carrots and a rocking good shrimp banh mi)...it was a delightful afternoon! We were introduced to some great wine choices and appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Another fantastic offering from Jarad Slipp. I love the creative snack menu (light bites only) and of course the impressive wine selection. You can enjoy the small town charm of Middleburg from the bay window while you sip on a glass of something special. I love getting the rare RdV vintage they have, and recently even enjoyed a fancy cappuccino there. This could make a fun stop before you head down the street to pick up pizza from the other Slipp-owned spot in town, Knead Wine. It's also a great place to splurge on a bottle of something fancy to expand your palate. All in all, Tremolo is a much needed addition to Middleburg's offerings, and it's perfect for locals and tourists alike.

Yelp
Celebrated Father's Day at Tremolo Bar with fabulous cocktails and delicious dishes. Will be back again soon. Perfect addition to Middleburg!

Yelp
Food was good;served as tapas. My objection was the pricing not only on the food but also the alcohol. Wine was expensive with noticeably weak pours. Cocktails the same.
