Went with my wife and kids after baseball practice and upon entry the staff are very friendly. We ordered our food waited what I felt was a normal period of time and we were not disappointed. It’s decent tasting food with great diner experience. Would go back again.

Everything from the service to the food was A1. Really enjoyed the cinnamon apple pancakes and the strawberry cheesecake that’s made in house. Lots of parking available

My mom loves this place!!! But I'm not even going to front, this place is mad chill. I really like coming here, and there food is pretty awesome. I hear there's new owners, but the place is still great.

The servers were really nice, it's a nice and calm atmosphere. The food was great as well as their soup. Would definitely come back!

With parking across the street, you can get here very easily. The wait staff was quick and polite. The food? DAMM, IT WAS GOOD. I ordered the Belgium waffles with ice cream, and let me tell you. I needed that recipe yesterday. The waffles are thick and fluffy. The ice cream was some French vanilla delight. The atmosphere feels like a diner from another time. Go here and get those waffles.

This diner has to be one of the best in the Bronx! I come here often on the weekends and order the typical three egg omelette. My favorite is the spinach and feta and I would also highly recommend mushrooms and cheese. Its great for a late breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. If you get there before 11am, it tends to be packed. I will say they are super fast in terms of service! My breakfast order is ready within minutes everytime. The waffles, btw, are absolutely divine... so light and fluffy!

The food was great and delicious. The service was also great definitely recommend for good food.

This is a local gem in the north central part of the Bronx that's always a good choice. Hands down one of the longest tenured restaurants I know from back in the day, when I grew up around there. The service, cozy atmosphere, and food are all great for decades. Love it!

Sucks to say I will never order from this diner ever again. I ordered from Grubhub and I'm pretty picky with my diners so being that I saw good reviews I figured a burger can't be cooked wrong..well hopefully not. Pro is that the food came on time but then there were way more cons! First the bacon cheese burger tasted bland and the waffles fries tasted bland as well. The cheeseburger tasted blah and the fries were soggy and I had asked for well done! The vegetables were soggy too! Smallest pickle slice I've have ever been served and the coleslaw even tasted off. Definitely wouldn't wanna go here in person even if it was to try another dish!

An old spot revisited. Good service with the food coming out fast. The staff were friendly and the breakfast portions were pretty filling. Place seemed pretty clean.

THIS IS BREAKFAST!! This is how you're suppose to feel after eating a beautiful big meal. You're supposed to feel satisfied, refreshed, rejuvenated, powerful, you're supposed to feel good and FULL. Even though there wasn't any almond milk, everything was just perfect. I hadn't eaten since 11am yesterday and that was another spectacular breakfast. I highly highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or traveling in and out. Please come here. Please Please support the locals!

Food was good and well done. We had breakfast and enjoyed it. It's a very tight spot with little space. We sat in the middle row in between everyone. The waiter was very nice and attentive and the food was good. I love ole school diners with great customer service.

My favorite neighborhood diner! The food never disappoints and the service is fast and courteous. Our food came out in literally five minutes. A must try if you are in the area.

Visited on a Sunday Morning around 10:30. We waited inside for about 5 minutes before a table was ready for us. After sitting down we were quickly served coffee and ice water. The menu is HUGE but we stuck with breakfast. The feta spinach omelette was amazing, home-fries were on point, and the rye toast was awesome. The food came out really fast, probably within 5-10 min. The staff were great and very attentive. Nice little diner, wish there were more of them around these days.

Having been here a few times I think 4 stars is pretty appropriate. The food isn't exactly anything you'd go out of the way for but...it's a diner so expect decent diner food. The staff are very friendly, and I've never had to wait for a table even though it tends to get crowded sometimes. The interior is a bit small compared to some others but for the price, staff, and food this is my go to diner in the area over the others. -Bacon Egg & Cheese sandwich: 3.5/5, a breakfast staple made pretty well here. Compared to some other nearby options I'd say this was definitely the better one. I added sausage to the sandwich last time which I probably won't do again. The sausage wasn't great quality and kind of reminded me of cheap hotdogs. -Chicken Parm Sandwich: 3.5/5, definitely better than some others I've had, the chicken cutlets tasted fresh, and the sauce was surprisingly very good. Again, while the food isn't amazing..it's definitely decent & reasonably priced. Because of the friendly staff, quick service, & fair prices this will continue to be my go to diner in the area.

Delicious diner food. I loved that they had the whole wheat pancakes and the turkey sausage!! I would say is just a bit overpriced but good quality food nonetheless.

I came here today with my girlfriend after our morning run. We made up for all our burned calories with a couple omelets, turkey sausage and pancakes that we shared. She had the Mexican omelet with tomatoes, onions and jalapeños. It was tasty and spicy but I would have liked some monterrey jack cheese in it. I had the spinach and feta omelet and added some mushrooms. It was nice and the feta was not too overpowering. Each of our omelets came with hash browns and toast, which we both subbed for English muffins. We also shared an order of pancakes with turkey sausage. That dish was not the best that I've had at a diner, as simple as it is. The pancakes are good but whatever syrup they use tastes wrong, like it was sugar-free or something. It completely ruined my pancake so I left it alone. The turkey sausages were a little too watery and the hash browns with my omelet were seasoned well but dry AF ans could have used some chopped onion and peppers like I've had at other places. On the upside, the service is really good. As soon as we sat our server came to offer drinks and take our order. They came often to refill my tea and my girlfriend's coffee and to see if we needed anything. I ordered some sandos for the boys, a Philly cheesesteak with curly fries for my son and a turkey triple decker with classic fries for hubby. Hubby liked his sandwich but my son gave a 3/5 for his. Both meals came with a choice of soup which was nice but the price tag for just the sandwiches was over 30 bucks; kind of insane for a diner. I came here a long time ago with my husband and never reviewed but we don't come often because it's very out of the way from where we live. We were likely visit his family who lives in the area. I don't really care for diners unless I or someone I'm with has gone to one before and can vouch for it. I likely won't be back here.

I give five stars on the strength of the service. My servers were quick, friendly, competent, and went above the call of duty by constantly asking me if I needed anything else and even suggested what I might need. The food is not bad too, I had a veggie burger on whole wheat bread which came with coleslaw and pickle, and a coffee. Very nice neighborhood experience. Ordinarily I would never give a diner five stars but this service was an exception.

Pleasantly Pleased Stopped in hungry one night when I didn't feel like cooking. Ordered 3 eggs, toast, french fries, and coffee. The French fries were done to perfection. Yay! Crispy and hot. The eggs, over easy were also perfect. The toast too. Not burned, toasted just right. The coffee was so good, and the waitress gave me a refill as soon as my cup was empty. I am so happy this diner is close to home and has their own parking lot. Most important, the food was hot and delicious. The staff are very polite and friendly. Finally, a diner nearby that does it right. Keep it up!

This place used to be really good. Unfortunately things have changed. Went last week for lunch and it smelled like a pet shop and the potatoes tasted sour. The seats were dirty as well. Place needs a complete makeover.

Dear Martha, One night, about a week ago, I found myself far away from home and deep behind enemy lines in the Pelham Bay Section of the Bronx. I had blindly followed our party leader to the nearby Mamajuana Cafe a few blocks away. After a long, physically, demanding night of mixing it up with the locals, we decided to make our way home, having accomplished the mission in celebratory fashion. Everyone else requested Uber Evac and something like three of them dusted off with most of the party. I made certain that the last damsel boarded the final transport out and then I proceeded to make my way on foot. I had hoped to catch the 04:16 No. 6 Locomotive out of the area. I could see the trestles when I saw unfortunately I saw the locomotive pull into the station. I knew I was going to miss it and that meant I had to hunker down for at least an hour. Fortunately, I saw the light on at a small establishment on the side of the road, Tremont Diner. I ordered an omelet with jalapenos and silver dollar pancakes with strawberries. The food was quite savory and sweet respectively. The patron and staff treated me well and moved with efficiency. The respite rejuvenated me and I felt ready to continue my journey home. Belly filled, I once again ventured out into the night to catch the next locomotive hoping not to run into any hostiles. Luck was on my side and I made it back to Brooklyn by sunrise. I write to you to let you know that I am safe and will soon be in your arms. Our neighbors have always raved about how great the food is here. So after a fast early morning 2.5hr drive from one of our staycation spots, we opted for a change of pace and decided to come here for the very first time. Sunday morning parking was easily found as there is street parking and a large parking lot directly across from the diner. Upon entering the diner it was already packed, with the exception of one remaining booth waiting for us. Our busboy came over immediately with our water and then our waitress took our orders directly after. It was clear that the staff are pleasant, fast and efficient. Breakfast was served to our booth within less than 10mins of us ordering...that's some fast short-order cooking! We ordered diner favorites of pancakes and eggs, with corned beef hash. My beau enjoyed his pancakes, I on the other hand prefer my pancakes 'cakey' and not 'spongey', but that's really nothing to complain about at all. What's the bottom line? Pleasant, fast, friendly, decent food at neighborhood pricing. We will definitely be back.

We don't frequent diners much, but when we do, we choose Tremont. They are a much smaller diner then the 2 that I used to patronize. They have the same menus as the others. What I do like about this diner, is that they have some "breakfast specials " where as the other places, are ala carte. Therefore, breakfast for 2, can end up costing us $35.00. Which isn't even that good. Here, the service is on the money, the food was great and they had a nice special. 2 eggs with hash browns for $9.95! With toast, juice! Can't beat that.

I only get breakfast and have dine here once. But they have a friendly and welcoming customer service as well as a great selection of food.

I have been coming to this diner for years. I now live in Throggs Neck. But I came here more often when i didn't live here. Anyway, they have a great breakfast. I've never had a bad meal here. Sometimes the service is weird depending on who you get. Overall, the food is always good and they have a parking lot right across the street.

This is your average run-of-the mill diner, nothing about it stands out but it's not a bad place to eat. I've dined here a few times and have never had a bad experience. The place has a warm feeling to it and it's very clean, the staff is also very friendly. A plus is this place has a huge parking lot in the back. The food is average - not bad but not stellar. It is what it is and honestly it's exactly what it should be for a small diner. If you're looking for something more sophisticated then you should probably go somewhere else. I usually tread to Larchmont to go the Nautilus Diner but for a quick stop close to home this is perfect.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can never go wrong... This place reminds me of the old school diners which are slowly fading away, the full breakfast was great this morning... For lunch I highly recommend their corned beef on rye with mustard, pickles and cole slaw...

I generally don't leave reviews, I generally don't complain about mistakes, and I generally don't want to attack small businesses, BUT if I am paying for something, I don't expect 1/2 of my order to not be delivered... this is the SECOND time this has happened by this establishment and I surely can't trust ordering from them again. Hopefully they'll do a better job one day at making sure their customers get the order they paid for

Okay place. Lots on the menu so it is a huge plus that you won't get a limited menu. Anything you want will be made for you but nothing particularly out of the ordinary. Just request but hopefully you will get a kind and understanding server who won't be rude and give you a hard time. I had the burger and omelet. Delicious but the portion could have been a bit bigger for the p rice. There were a lot of people when we were there.

a typical ok average diner in the bronx on tremont ave they wont have you driving from far to visit but if you happen to be in the area on a friday morning that its a go . standard greek american diner menu with breakfast , lunch , dinner serving what most diners serve and counter seating section , booths and tables as well. pancakes with turkey sausage and side order of home fries is a safe bet and our server was really quick as from the moment we were seated to the time our plates of food reached our booth was less then 10 minutes .overall food is decent and prices are reasonable and service is solid but unless i am in the area and hungry i wont go out of my way to visit this bronx diner.

My mom and I ordered the same dish and hers was not edible. There was too much cross contamination going on. Her coffee cup was also dirty. This is not the first time this has happened. The owner on duty and the waitress gave us every excuse in the book. We will not be coming here anymore.

I love the crew here. They are all nice and friendly and treat us like family. The food is good too, love their breakfast special on the weekdays. They have a parking lot, so parking is never a problem. Cool beans!

I'm happy I decided to come back to the diner. I've been very pleased with the service, the food is delicious and the ambience is wonderful. I love how everyone feels like we all know each other and it's family friendly. I've gone more times than I should but now I can't stay away. Excellent food and service. Thank you.

At the Tremont Diner a wonderful family oriented restaurant . Classic style side booth and large tables for the large family that wish to have that home away form home feeling. As you sit and wait for your server to come , meals are well cooked , and their salads are to die for. I enjoyed their Cobb salad as the Boss had their mozzarella sticks. this is one diner i love to go to, with my family and friends after a night out or just to go in the weekend when you wish not to cook, and throw back and enjoy the smile and small talk.

The quality has changed over the years to less love in the food but they are definitely listening to their customers finally. They included new sweet potato fries, curly fries and waffle fries to the selection. Waffle fries are fresh and really good! They also have whole wheat pancakes now. I come here once in a while on my own to enjoy some quiet time. There's something peaceful about this place, maybe the nostalgia coming as a high school kid during our lunch period. They are also open 24 hours now on Fridays and Saturdays. Every other weekday they're open til 11:45pm NOT 1am!!

I love the hospitality and the place is always nice and clean. I love the variety they have. My fav dish is the tuna and avocado wrap. It is so fresh and so tasty. For breakfast, this place is always packed but before you know it you are sitting and eating.

Snow day lunch at a diner we've never been too. And upon arrival seems like your typical diner. We ordered a Greek salad and lentil soup, tuna wrap and a beef brisket sandwich. All comfort foods and nothing too fancy. Here's the run down, Tuna wrap was good and the wrap was not soggy, huge portion so half was taken home. The lentil soup was OK, with a nice flavor but not hearty with a lot of lentils. The Greek salad was perfect with the right amount of feta, olives, tomatoes, salad. The dressing came on the side and was very good. This also was huge and I took 3/4 home. The brisket was OK, a little dry, but the gravy on the side was good and made up for it. All in all a good experience and I would return. Their own parking lot was a plus as well, especially on this snowy day. Two downers were that they did not serve wine and the waitress was a tad bit snobby with us. Remember if you want the tastyladies happy, there must be wine and serve with a smile!

Ordered from here for the first time after quarantine when they reopened to give them some business to support small local businesses. I ordered from here many many times. Halfway through my meal I noticed what looks to me like mold!! Just a heads up to all.

I've come here so many times in the past 25 plus years. The servers here a friendly fast and efficient. The food is typical diner food. I have no complaints with that. The biggest thing for me is that they have a big parking lot for the customers which is a big plus imo.

Really nothing special...just your typical diner. Lunch time is always packed, which of course is a good thing. I sat at the counter and ordered up a waffle with bacon. Even though it hit the spot, there was nothing to it. The bacon was kind of soggy and the waffle, well, it was just a blah of a waffle. Service was decent, even though I needed a refill and never got it. It's cool to go once in a while, but definitely not "amazing" like other reviewers say.

This is my go to diner! I love this place it is worth the drive they have parking right across the street and have super fast service and good food the only downside is that the place is small and gets very crowded so there is a wait most of the time but other than that i love the service and food here.

Didn't expect it but, Tremont Diner is really rather darn cool. Very cool scene. I am really glad that I wound up ordering Lentil Soup, it was amazing, just an amazing taste. Service is nice and friendly. Good stuff.

The customer service here is beyond anything I've ever received. The current manager is probably the best manager I've ever encountered. I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and finally had a craving for some soup, and even though they forgot it the manager took it upon himself to bring me the food over. I am in tears at how he took the time to come over and bring the food for my baby and me. And they're food is super delicious as well. I couldn't have ordered from a better diner in the area!

I'm a breakfast diner person so I've been meaning to try this place since I pass it quite often. I was greeted and seated right away. The food came quickly but it's eggs, how long can that take? Lol. Overall it was the atypical diner food but the real test will be when I try their pancakes. So, stay tuned.....
