Stepping into Trèsind's minimal chic dining room for their business lunch is like having a little sunbeam of sophistication cut through the daily grind of Dubai life—all clean lines and a lovely, bright ambience that makes even your meticulously planned quarterly marketing strategy seem less menacing.
The kitchen, run by culinary alchemists, has taken the familiar comfort of Indian cuisine and run a high-voltage current through it. The classics are all there, but presented with a theatrical, playful innovation, starting with an amuse bouche that included a little mischief of a popping Aam ras panipuri—a delightful burst of mango sweetness that wakes up the palate with a cheeky wink.
The whole affair was a delightful punch to the palate, culminating in mains where the rich, complex flavour of the ‘Ricardo negro’ kaala mutton stood out as a genuine star. It's a dish that demands attention and gets it, proving that Trèsind isn't just about smoke and mirrors; there’s serious, soul-stirring cooking here. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the overall experience was so genuinely excellent that I’ve already plotted my return. I’ll be back so soon, they might just want to reserve a permanent, velvet-roped spot for this famously hungry Dubai Foodie.
